XCC 8:Clash

Being held May 6th, 1999

XCC Featherweight Title

Philip "Kid" Ziskie (10-0) vs. Sammy "The Stealth Shark" Gaffigan (16-1)

Respectively, the number 4 and 5 ranked featherweights in the world are set to battle it out in the Octagon. Ziskie looks to make his second title defense, but Gaffigan is fresh off a KO victory over Azor Nunes and is looking to end this fight early.

Co Main Event

Hester "The Slayer" MacLean (7-2) vs. Gina "The Vixen" Dixon (5-2)

With a first round TKO victory over the previously undefeated Tara O'Brien, Gina Dixon is looking to gain quick momentum by making quick work of her veteran opponent. A loss here for MacLean could mean the end of her career, but don't expect Hester to give up without a fight.

Lightweight Match

"Sweet Sammy Silk" Sammy Newton (3-1) vs. Sebastian "The Bruiser" Fernandez (3-2)

A victory for either man here will put them in prime position for number one contendership. A KO or Submission victory will surely catch the eye of XCC management.

Featherweight Match

"Scorching" Shuler Eigenberg (9-2) vs. Stefan "Stealth Ninja" Champion (4-1)

The key to victory here is going to be Stefan getting this match to the ground quickly and keeping it there. Shuler already had two KO victories and he's looking to add Champion to his list.

Lightweight Match

Brendon "The Damned" Job (0-1) vs. Francisco "Frankie Boy" Jimenez (4-1)

XCC 8:Clash

Being held May 6th, 1999

Lightweight Match

Brendon "The Damned" Job (0-1) vs. Francisco "Frankie Boy" Jimenez (4-1)

Jimenez had this fight by dropping Job down 3 times in the first round, but he wasn't able to capitalize on it. This doesn't look good because it's apparent that Job has no business in a cage and Jimenez wasn't able to finish.

Winner: Francisco "Frankie Boy" Jimenez by Unanimous Decision

Featherweight Match

"Scorching" Shuler Eigenberg (9-2) vs. Stefan "Stealth Ninja" Champion (4-1)

After a dominant first round by Eigenberg, Stefan Champion realized he wasn't going to be able to take the Israeli down. Eigenberg focused more on counter striking and did well to stay ahead of Champion, which is why when Champion won by Split Decision, the upset caused an uproar in the venue.

Winner: Stefan "Stealth Ninja" Champion by Split Decision

Lightweight Match

"Sweet Sammy Silk" Sammy Newton (3-1) vs. Sebastian "The Bruiser" Fernandez (3-2)

After winning round 1 due to effective counter striking, Newton got a little ****y and forgot exactly how solid Fernandez actually is. The Bruiser was able to use grappling in the second round to control Newton before dropping him with an uppercut and getting the mount just as time expired. A very even third round that was only "won" thanks to a picture perfect leg kick by Newton edged him the victory.

Winner: Sammy Newton by Unanimous Decision

Co Main Event

Hester "The Slayer" MacLean (7-2) vs. Gina "The Vixen" Dixon (5-2)

Another evenly fought match, but the entire crowd saw Dixon winning it. In true judge fashion, they awarded MacLean the split decision, to the ire of the fans.

Winner: Hester "The Slayer" MacLean by Split Decision

XCC Featherweight Title

Philip "Kid" Ziskie (10-0) vs. Sammy "The Stealth Shark" Gaffigan (16-1)

As if Philip Ziskie said "Screw this, I'm going to make sure these fans get their money's worth", he gets the early takedown, goes into mount and starts to rain punches down until the ref forces him away from Gaffigan's beaten body. All in the first 2 minutes.

Winner: Philip "Kid" Ziskie by TKO in 2:23 of Round 1

Awards:

Fight of the Night: Ziskie vs. Gaffigan

KO of the Night: Philip Ziskie

Submission of the Night: N/A

Worst Match of the Night: Job vs. Jimenez
