I am John Sykes and I grew up in Colorado Springs, life was pretty easy. Buckle down, study and don’t do drugs. That was the advice I was given.

 

I was originally from the United Kingdom but moved there when I was 4. I had started to watch Wrestling when I saw around 8 I think it was? Either way it doesn’t matter.

 

I had dreamed to own my company but I was obviously too young for that at the age of 8. So I waited. When I hit the age of 16 I began my training. I was quite scarily good at the hardcore skill, it just felt natural to me, and quite scary I know. I was also pretty good at using the mic, so that is always good.

 

I then worked with NWA:Wildside for a while till about 6 months ago, I never won any titles and Wildside will deny ever working with me after a messy “break up” about pay.

 

I then filed sponsorship from the local government for funding for my company, they accepted and gave me $2500, not a lot but it’s enough to get it started.

Let’s at least see how it turns out...

John Sykes was born initially in England but moved to Colorado Springs when he was 4. He begun watching Wrestling at the age of 8.

Begun wrestling at the age of 16, strangely he is very good at hardcore matches but also charismatic on the mic.

Booker Notes: I am extremely pleased with my roster at this point, The Rocky Romero and Jack Evans match particularly. They both agreed to do crazy bumps despite knowing it may injure them. Pushes coming your way guys!

Pleased with the domination and burial of Marty Jannetty, I see it’s fitting that he should lose on his way out. If he had stayed he may have actually won the Mid-South Championship but not now.

Shark Boy now works for GPW.

This Roster is getting very packed of good wrestlers.

Though I have noticed we are losing money, we have lost around $1300 in the space of 2 months, though we are close to turning into a small promotion so no problems there!

The day after the event I received an email from the Mid-South government saying that GPW had received Small promotion status, I was obviously proud of my little company. Now I have to hire some more people to fill the gaps.
