USPW: Life After Strong- Not another USPW Diary

Preface

I have started 3 different diaries, the first was an MAW, it lasted fairly long but I found myself disheartened that I was hiring to many people who Rip Chord wouldn't so I lost interest, the second was CGC but the fact I was doing weekly pay-per-view I found it boring having to put on good matches and this ultimately turned me off that savegame (2 or so years in) completely.

My third was FREEDOM Carribean, which I was working on until an event I will document later (it's an ingame issue, this diary is in the same savegame as it). This may and the way I read it, sound like making excuses for failed dynasties, but the real reason is so people don't think this guy can't keep a diary going why should i read it, which is a very fair point however I have 9 shows already wriiten up in full (as in ready to post,) and I'm writing my 10th so I can ensure at least those shows will be posted and as many have, I feel I may have caught the USPW bug and I am really enjoying writing this (I have actually pre planned).

There will be a brief backstory before I start, the first post will take place on Saturday, Week 1, December 2011, following that post there will be a roster post from the time of Strong's retirement.

I would also like to to thank all Alt. makers and re-renderers for all their hard work and bringing the game to life.

Goodbye Sam Strong

It has been announced today that that the CEO of USPW and Wrestling's Most Famous Ever Star, is leaving the industry, just weeks after long time friend Rip Chord did the exact same. This news means that USPW will be actively seeking a new face of USPW who will deal with day to day running of USPW. Applications are being accepted. Expect more in the coming days.

I was at Benny's (Benson) house with Greg (Groucho Bling) and Owen (Love) when we heard the news, I mean we'd always wanted open a promotion but we'd never had the money. All of a sudden Greg turned to me and say, 'Dude you're a booker now you could run that joint,' whilst I'd love to run USPW, I really could never see it, 'But with you tied up at SWF, and them two at TCW, with me in USPW we wouldn't even get to chill out,' forget that you got a chance to realise your dream, and creative ain't exactly takin me places in WF.'

I thought about it, the least I could do was apply what harm could it do?

Got the Gig / Breaking it to Power

I had applied and been for an interview with the USPW Board of Directors who seemed impressed, but I had only 5 days until the next FCW Show so I didn't tell Puerto Rican Power (I didn't want to worry him and nothing was definate), but during a booking meeting I got the call, they basically said I got the job and that I would start tommorrow, I broke the news to PRP, he was clearly p***ed off but, I could tell he understood, it all happened so quick but I was the new CEO of USPW, I had the power.

OOC: This is how it happened in game I was FCW booker and had a show in 5 days but I had applied for the USPW Owner job, and got the job, so as unrealistic as it is thats how it happened so I just wrote it as it happened, now onto the actual roster as sign and champions.

What a busy week, we'd contacted many of the best available wrestlers in the world, debuting these will make for a pretty hectic couple of weeks but after that we got some more major talent who can take USPW to the top!

Shane Sneer: Its just too bad that you fans will have to listen to Mitch, so I'd rather we just got on with the action.

[Champion's first appearance since his heel turn (and he is supporting a new look) and he is receiving some of the largest heat in USPW's 10 year History and the surprise of Flash and that he was against the 'uber' heel got him a decent pop.]

Steve did what he does best and that was, make his opponents bring their A game and Champion sure did as he kept Flash largely at bay through out the match and at 9:36 the match was over after a Hawkeye Hammer.

Champion: Two weeks ago I, Nicky Champion, after years of being in the shadow of 'The American Icon' Samuel Strong, made myself famous, he wanted to go out with a bang! He wanted to have a final match, on an American Wrestling 2 hour special, and I took him out, begging the question why? Why Nicky, Why, after all he's done for you? He asked me himself, when he was too injured to have his goodbye... and tonight I answer you all,

Sam used me, he didn't help me for me, he did it so he wasn't seen as just a wrestler, he saw Rip training tens of young workers and he was jealous, he saw his son turn his back on wrestling and he tried to fill the void with me and naïve Nick, just went along with it.

And then after I'd pinned Enygma for 1,2,3 he came out and told me he had me a mystery challenger for Born in The USA! And the deluded old man he is truly believed I would be scared? I'll put it down to old age but come on, I'm Nicky Champion. Nobody is ever going to beat, 'The New American Icon.'

[The crowd boo his mocking of Strong]

And that got me thinking if Sam's secret little friend wants to face me, then lets make it a No Disqualification match and if you still want to face me, which nobody would blame you if you didn't, in a fight to the death, please come prepared with anything you've got.

[He makes his way to the back, making sure to incite the fans hatred some more before going behind the curtain.]

Mitch: Wow, huge stuff from Nicky after an impressive win.

Sneer: And I have to say he hit on some truths there that the fans really do not like, but I have to say he was spot on with some of those comments.

Mitch: I find that hard to believe Shane, but I'll have to take your word for it, you do have the experience of him. Up next we got a number 1 contendership match.

In a domination match, which was not at all pretty, The Force pinned Pete for the win after 5:44 with The Full Force.

Strong: I'm busy, maybe some other time?

Stranger: Yeah, some other time, I gotta match anyway so you know, maybe when I got some free time.

Handsome Strangers début was met with a heel reaction and although he could have won the match he decided to try and show off, this was his undoing because, when attempting a Flip Senton, Jones put up his knees and then hit him with a Blast from the Past (Superkick) for the win at 10:17

Now first up I'd like to address an issue that has been on my mind for a few years now. I AM NOT A JOKE! Hard to believe after the last five years stuck as 'comic relief' I know but this isn't New England, and I am NOT a joke!

For years I have been held down, suppressed and humiliated by the big bosses but now I am here for one reason, not to win a title. Not to be the best in USPW, but to be the best wrestler in the WORLD! To put on a spectacle each and every time I come out of that curtain, and duck through those ropes. Because fun is all well and good, don't get me wrong I love fun, I am fun and fun is me, but there is a fine line between being fun and being a joke and for far too long I have been on the wrong side of the boundary and now is the time for the Disco Stud to make an impact.

The match was all Retro and Devine had to endure a beating throughout the match and Retro decided to end it with a Murder on the Dancefloor (muscle buster neckbreaker variation) at 9:43

Lee: Chris tonight begin the beginning of the nightmare, take this as an introduction, a friendly warning if you will because whilst tonight, this is just mind games sooner or later, it will become a lot worse, so whilst you just wait in fear, I put the plan into action but from one p*ssed of guy backstage and the match you're about to have, I'm not the only one you should be worried about.

This match was a grueling, match and both men gave their all as it spilled out all around the arena floor. The two traded control and it took a mistake from Chris for Gonzalez to take control and he looked to have him when he was setting up for an inverted piledriver but Caulfield slipped out the back and hit a thunderous Danger Drop for the pin at 16:20.

Winner: Chris Caulfield

[A physically drained Hardcore American gets his hand lifted up by the referee and find a second boost of energy to celebrate his win.]

Mitch: Call it what you want, I call it disgusting.

[He then handcuffs Chris to a rope and continues to beat Chris and taunt the crowd as The show goes off air]

Reed's debut was a slick and eye easy match, in which two great athletes tested each other well, Art's constant attempts at high risk moves were quickly thwarted by Jones who used a top rope neckbreaker reversal to get the momentum, and a missile Blast from the Past to pick up the win at 11:09

[The fans pop for the returning giant who after 17 months of 'taking it easy' looked slightly out of shape]

The match started with a Bruce The Great domination and he looked tired from the word go and when he went to finish it early on with his Giant Chokeslam, his knee went after 5 seconds, Champion sprung on this and began to beat down on Bruce and after trying to get him down to his back which he did when he sprung of the ropes, ran and delivered a big boot to Bruce's head knocking the kneeling Giant completely down Champion went for the pin but got a 2 count. He then worked on Bruce's head and then went to the top rope and stalked Bruce and when he got up Nicky hit a jumping move emulating Sam Strong's Arm Tactic to Bruce's temple and knocking him down, Champion fell onto him and got the 3 count at 16;02

[After the match Nicky is gloating and taunting so much he doesn't realise Bruce is behind him and looks angry, Champion, hearing the crowds cheers, turns right into the Giant's Claw, he picks up champion as the crowd count

Bruce slammed him down to the outside of the ring, a good 15 foot drop and medics immediately rush down and put Nicky in a neck cast and stretchered him away.

Mitch: And Nicky got his comeuppance there and Bruce show...

Sneer: Mitch, Mitch, Mitch SHUT UP! He won the match AND got a ride out of here just because Bruce sneak attacked him like the coward he is doesn't take anything away from his slaying of the Giant!

A bitter rivalry finally came to ahead in a steel cage and the two brawler showed their storied feud in the ring with back and forth action and strong brawling the match heated up when Baine threw Caulfield into the steel and then smashed his head repeatedly into the steel and then grinded his head against the cage, but Caulfield started fighting back, an elbow to the gut, and another, a punch to the head, an elbow to the head, a clothesline knocks down the champ and Chris bounces of the ropes and hits a crossbody downing Tyson, Caulfield stalks him, CAULFIELD CUTTER! (rarely used, cutter variation) both men are down and Caulfield drags himself up with the ropes he begins to ascend the cage, Baine is stirring as Caulfield get to the top and rests before one last push to exit the cage, but just when he looks to have it Lee comes rushing through the crowd.

He races up the cage with a Kendo Stick in hand, looks Chris straight in the face and smashes him right between the eyes causing Chris to fall straight into the hands of the now standing Tyson Baine. HADES BOMB! Right in the centre of the ring Tyson climb up the cage and leaves as Caulfield is left lifeless.

In an exclusive for TEW.com, Peter Valentine has today announced his retirement from in-ring competition, he is however, thought to be interested in working behind the scenes in one form or another. Valentine, released from his USPW contract earlier this month is famed for his time with TCW and USPW and is often very difficult to work with and many sight his friendship with Sam Strong as the main reason he has had such success, after not receiving any offers for work since leaving USPW other than an Independent match on the side of Stink against Billy Jack Shearer & Grunt. He refused to talk to TEW.com

The two brawler put on a match that was a standard brawl with Mick Muscles dominating for large parts of the match but as a hero does Force made an incredible comeback and after Muscles felt the FULL FORCE, he was pinned in

Nicky: First of all I feel congratulations are in order to Nicky 'Giant Slayer' Champion who overcame all odds, all expectations and beat Bruce The Great, and after my astounding win I was merely showing my appreciation to my fans when I was given a fifteen foot GIANT Chokeslam by Bruce who apparently could accept losing to the planets hottest wrestling talent, and at first I was angry, I mean he's put me out for up to 3 months, but now I just feel sorry for him, he can't help but be jealous, in fact I'll paint the scene for you;

Imagine you are an ageing, middle aged, freak of nature and you leave a company, claiming you are too big for them, you want to go to a rival and then the expected flood of offers sort of 'dry up' to the point you are considering joining a little Caribbean company, you are gradually getting out of shape, putting on weight and what are you seeing on Sport America every Wednesday? Nicky Champion, a man who is the epitome of manliness and athleticism. But wait your friend calls you and says you can have a match with this kid, and you blow it, you lose conclusively and was undoubtedly cleanly beaten, I mean looking up at this whilst slightly concussed, who wouldn't be jealous, I can't look in a mirror without get jealous, so Bruce I don't hate you at all. I pity you!

A pair of talented workers did 'what they do' and beat the crap out of each other in this match, both showcasing a number of their moves and putting their all in, and it all seemed over when Enygma locked in The Enygma Variation but Rick Law ran down and beat him with his nightstick causing the referee to call a disqualification.

Winner: Enygma

[After the match, Enygma has his hand raised when from behind Rick Law hit him in the back of the leg, Shawn and Law then continue to beat him to the ground until he is left in a heap]

These two put on a great intense brawl and Baine used every collar use variation he could think of and when Chris looked out he made a comeback attempt, 2 punches to the head, a headbutt, 3 more punches a kick to the gut, clothesline, ducked. Hades Bomb from nowhere, 1, 2, 3 at 16:23

Darryl Devine walks out

TEW.com is hearing reports out of USPW that Darryl Devine has decided to walk out on the company, Darryl had been unhappy at not being used and last weeks release of girlfriend Seduction was the last straw, he was not used on USPW American Wrestling last night and he has decided he will be leaving the promotion immediately due to the nature of the deal.

Devine will still be working for NYCW & RIPW, so will not be short of money, on the PPV, Phil Vibert openly mocked Seduction and questioned her role, it is thought that he will never work for Art Reed or with Phil Vibert again.

Darryl had spent nearly 7 years with USPW and some feel this has hindered his chance at stardom with a product that doesn't suit him and he remained in the lower parts of the roster, even though he is main eventing elsewhere.

Too bad about Devine, but it figures firing his girlfriend is going to piss him off. Devine could have been a keystone of the new Vibert- Reed era, but USPW can survive fine without him.

I was pretty annoyed when he left, but I couldn't have Seduction annoying people backstage and I didn't know it would push him over the edge, besides I've never had anyone straight up walk out on me, I was surprised, expect new comer Chance Fortunes up coming feud to be, 'what Darryl could have done'.
