Touhou star Reimu Hakurei has sustained an ankle injury at last nights show, as you probably saw. She landed wrongly on her right foot after jumping of the top rope with a maneuver. She will not have to pause though, but will probably work less in the ring over the next four weeks.

 

I'm on a roll right now, everything up to the next PPV has already been worked out.

So the shows may come faster than expected.

Reisen and Yukari will be interesting in the upcoming weeks, I can promise that much.

Chen vs. Kanako Yasaka

In a very standard match, Chen looked a bit better than in the past and had a decent match with Kanako, who eventually won.

The show starts with a very unpleased ZUN.

The nominated person steps out to get celebrated (but gets booed of course).

Suika didn’t have much trouble and defeated her opponent easily.

The (9) champion, Cirno, is not very happy about her match last night and wants to tell us.

“Who in the world is responsible fo that match last night? That was totally unfair. I was not prepared at all to have a match and suddenly you send out somebody to fight me. Is that how you treat a champion? Trying to take away the title by all means? But I am smarter than this. That’s right, I’m not only the strongest but also the intelligentest. You can’t trick me out of my title. If you try to screw me, I screw you. Come on, bring out somebody, surprise me.”

She waits for exactly 1.2 seconds.

“Too bad, time’s up. But remember my words. I…er, you know, what I said.”

Netherworld Dwellers vs. Rumia & Mystia Lorelei

The fans haven’t forgotten Mystia’s incidents in the past and were chanting some mean things. Monsieur TecDax draw Yuyuko’s attention with – you guessed it – some candy. Being on her own, Youmu was rolled up by Rumia, who (using the ropes for leverage) pinned her for the upset.

It appears that Keine has “survived” the eery incident last night, but she’s less than okay. She looks like a wreck and has turned back out of her EX transformation. Mokou is with her, since she is booked for the upcoming match.

Mokou: “Are you sure you want to fight? Maybe you should take some rest and let me handle this.”

“No…it’s okay. I’m fine.”

Despite her best attempts, Keine saw no land in this match. Since the incident from yesterdays tag team match aftermath, she doesn’t seem to be the same. Sakuya’s Light Speed Ricochet ended this sad occurrence.

We are surprised to see Ran out in the ring without Yukari, but this has a reason. She is wearing a mask by the way, as her face likely looks terrible at the moment.

“That was a horrible night. Can you imagine what I felt this morning when I woke up and looked into the mirror? You made a fool out of me in front of all the thousands watching. And worst of all, you didn’t even outwrestle me or anything like that. To be fair, that was partly my fault for wanting no disqualification rules. But I am positive, that you can not beat me in a regular, normal one-on-one match-up. Therefore I challenge you to a rematch, an ordinary wrestling match. If you really are hardcore, you will accept.”

“I know, you had your chance already. But if we two team up, you will surely get another chance. So?”

“Well…I sure want that match.”

“Sounds good. Just sleep over it a night or two, no need to hurry.”

Reimu leaves and Marisa’s face tells us, that she is in a dilemma now.

Hong Meiling vs. Remilia Scarlet

Meiling was pumped up to defeat the princess of darkness (as I just dubbed her). Remilia wasn’t helpless though and managed to fight back. An interfering Patchouli was kicked off the apron by Hong. It became a back and forth match, until the lights went out for a few seconds. As they went back on, Meiling was drenched in blood. Being surprised like that, Remilia took her chance and finished her off.

Winner: Remilia Scarlet by Pinfall (18:40)

After Remilia celebrated her victory, she grabs a microphone.

“This is the end of the dragon’s ambitions. You stepped into the darkness once and you were stupid enough to return. Now all thjat is left of you is a bloody mess. Get this out of my eyes.”

Sakuya rolls Meiling out of the ring.

“It is time to welcome another soul willing to sacrifice herself to the darkness. And it is a joy for me to take her hand and take her to the other side. She has finally returned home. But unlike Hong Meiling, she nows that entering costs you some sacrifice. Come out, come to me, Flandre. Return home, return to your sister.”

Flandre does indeed come out and joins Sakuya, Patchouli and her sister in the ring.

“You’ve gotten weak, little sister. You roamed aimlessly, but your voyage is over now. Accept the darkness, let it flow back into you.”

She smears the blood from the ring into Flandres face.

“I am proud of you, little sister. You made the right decision. Welcome home, Flandre.”

She hugs her sister sincerely, as her theme starts to play and the show ends.

As a little gift for the good PPV last night, Touhou gave the fans a little extra match after the show went off air. Unfortunately, the match was mediocore at best. Aya pinned Ran to get the feel-good face win every “house show main event” has.

We just talked about Rumia and...BAM! What a nice coincidence for you, crayon. She was really thankful for the win too. Keine will get her moment too, just not right now.

I thought that Post Show Main Event thing would work out better, will likely think twice before doing it again.

Kaguya missed a meeting again. I hope she won't become a second Mystia.

The rating was okay, at least the second best after the premier episode. Can't have a 60+ every day.

I don't think that post and pre dark matches affect show ratings so you should be safe running them. I could be wrong but they seem like they're good for getting complainers on the card, building up skills, or testing for chemistry. Course it's nice to reward the fans too, in a fayfabe way of course

Fat Otaku has apparently won the tug-of-war with his boss, as Cirno has signed a new contract with Touhou for at least 9 months. Her psychology skills are far below what is expected of a worker within the promotion, but her entertainment factor is incredibly high. That’s the reason the booker fought so much for her to stay.

The next Touhou contract to be resigned is that of Fujiwara no Mokou. Neither her entertainment nor her in-ring skills are very breathtaking, but her rise in popularity recently is a good reason for a renewal.

The Gensokyo champion, Aya Shameimaru, appears at the beginning of the show to tell us what she thinks about the new number one contender for her title.

“Last week, I was silently watching, as ZUN came out here and presented his new darling and immideatly gave her a shot at my belt. I really had to take some time to know what to think about this. Well, what I think about this is the following: You are retarded. Both of you. ZUN still seems to think that he is the only reason why I am wearing this belt right now. I think I have proven myself to be perfectly capable of defending it on my own. And Yukari? I don’t know, am I supposed to take her serious? Don’t get me wrong, she surely is a good wrestler, but she lost her match at EoSD and all of a sudden she has the brownest nose I’ve ever seen and gets a title match. Well, I can’t blame her for trying to get a shot by all means necessary, but to see how blindly ZUN trusts her and gives her whatever she wants…that’s just ridiculous.”

Suwako Moriya vs. Flandre Scarlet

Remilia once again sat at the announce table to comment on this match and of course praised Flandre. Refueled by reuniting with her big sister, Flandre gave Suwako a good beating. The veteran knew some tricks too though and almost got her opponent where she wanted her. That was until Ran Yakumo interfered and cost Suwako the match.

Youmu: “What the hell was that?”

“You know what I mean. Somebody waves with some candy and you forget everything around you?”

“Oh god…it’s hopeless. Listen to me. When we are having a match, you have to concentrate. You can have candy afterwards, but not in the middle of the (beep) match.”

“Sure, but you never know. Somebody might be faster than me.”

“Nobody wants that stupid candy except you!”

“Don’t call it stupid, you hurt my feelings, Youmu.”

“You…what…oh brother. If you want to hurry up, why don’t you just make us win faster? This is bizarre, why am I even talking with you.”

Yuyuko doesn’t seem to understand the problem and looks a little sad.

You better get some before you step into the ring, so you won’t have to get it while you’re in there. But to prove I’m serious with my apology, I will send you a candy gift basket. Besides, these two girls are pretty good at what they do, they could have won all by their own. They say their prayers and eat their candy.”

“Oh, Meiling, whatever. What I wanted to say is, I can not grant you a rematch. First of all, there is no reason you should get a match in the first place. That was unfair and you know that. Second of all, I am busy over the next weeks, I have to fill in for my cousin and drive her ice-cream truck. And you don’t want the kids to wait for their ice-cream, just to get home dissapointed, do you? DO YOU? And Threest…thricet…thirst…and that’s all I have to say.”

Cirno was kinda good in this one, don’t having to get as much help as usually. Still, Reisen was pretty good too. Suddenly, China appeared from outta nowhere, plowing through the whole Team (9) at ringside and Cirno felt so threatened that she didn’t see the Circle Moon coming.

Marisa is coming to the ring, probably she has decided who she wants to team up with.

“Well, I’m in a bit of trouble right now. I asked my good friend Alice to team up with me and face the tag team champions at Perfect Cherry Blossom. She said she’ll think about it, but it sounded positive. So far, so good. But then, another good friend of mine, Reimu, asks me to team up with her and face the tag team champions at Perfect Cherry Blossom. So, what do I do? I have these two friends and I have to decide between them. That’s like picking your favourite child or choosing if you like your father more or your mother. I can’t do that. But I have to do something.”

But ever since she got in trouble with Flandre, she has changed, Marisa. She has changed and not in a good way. I don’t think that she’s capable of fighting her dear friend’s sister, especially not now since the Scarlet sisters are closer than ever.”

“Reimu, you shouldn’t…”

Marisa took at seat next to the commentators, talking about how she doesn’t like this. She didn’t have to take it very long though, as Alice just left the ring as soon as the bell rang. Marisa had no clue what was going on and Reimu was shouting at her opponent to get back into the ring. Alice didn’t even turn her head and just left.

Mokou: “Hey, Suika. Hope I don’t disturb you with something, but I have a favor to ask.”

Suika puts her bottle away.

“Well…I hate to say it, but…Keine doesn’t seem to be in a good condition. I’ll help her get back up on her feet, but Perfect Cherry Blossom is on the horizon and she won’t make it. I was planning on fighting Kaguya and that stupid friend of hers, Eirin. But I don’t want to do it alone.”

“Well, you found yourself the right person to ask. I still have bone to pick with them. Consider yourself reinforced.”

“Thank you. I’m sure Keine will understand.”

Aya Shameimaru vs. Yukari Yakumo

The match was pretty good and Yukari could prove herself worthy of the number one spot. If you expected a clean ending to this match, you’re dead wrong. Of course ZUN was back to his old tricks, only to teach them a new dog…or something like this. Aya should have known better, but she got tricked the same way she tricked others in the past. Yukari beat the champion and should she repeat this at Perfect Cherry Blossom, we’d have a new champion. With Yukari posing with the title she will be fighting for soon, the show ends.

Allright, a mediocore rating, I had some weak segments unfortunately.

Reimu's injury seems to be really hurting her performance, thank god I didn't put her in a "real" match. She and Alice have a good chemistry though.

Remilia once again proved to be an awesome commentator. Another worker with a sure job after her active career.

And Monsieur TecDax's English apparently has become quite good pretty fast. Only problem, he's not too over...yet.

Yukari was happy to beat the champion, Keine was less happy about her loss (Kanako liked it though). I feel a bit bad about this, but it's for the sake of character development. I'm not gonna put her on an unnessecary losing streak like MVP or Daniel Bryan. Sometimes you gotta make a step back to make two forward. I'll make up for this.

A wild brawl between all four occurred and the referee had to stop this match altogether.</p><p>

In a very intense duel, these two showed everyone how much they despise each other. Yukari managed to be on top at first, but the longer the match went on, the more Reisen was the one to control the action. Wen ZUN finally had enough with this, Reisen was already prepared for him and kicked him off the apron with a vicious kick. Yukari took the chance to attack her from behind and gain some momentum, but Reisen was able to hit the Circle Moon from out of nowhere and end this match, putting herself into the main event this Sunday and celebrating with the fans as the show ends.</p><p>

Despite their advantage in numbers, they struggled against their opponents. Monsieur TecDax once again tried to lure Yuyuko away from the ring with some of his sweet, sweet candy, but she managed to defeat her weaker self this time and got back to the ring, much to the shock and disappointment of Team (9)’s manager. She got tagged in and brought it home against Wriggle.</p><p>

Mokou had the better end and got the pinfall win after the Five-Coloured Turtles.</p><p>

This played well into the participants hands, who could concentrate on their mimic and entertainment skills. After Cirno gave Meiling a surprisingly hard time, the Chinese warrior got more and more the upperhand. Cirno tried to leave the ring again, like she did at Embodiement of Scarlet Devil, but Hong didn’t let her go anywhere. Cirno then tried to get herself disqualified by attacking Meiling with the belt, but her opponent dodged the attack and hit the Vivid Color Downpour to end this match.</p><p>

Red n Black were getting better and better into the match, fighting outside interferences and their dangerous opponents. When it looked like they were outsmarted by the champions and their helpers (after the referee got knocked out cold), Alice Margatroid did a run-in. She chased the whole bad guys…er, girls out of the ring…….just to attack Reimu afterwards! She left again, shouted at by a completely shocked Marisa. Meanwhile, the ref got conscious again and counted the pinfall by Remilia, who took advantage.</p><p>

The match went back and forth and nobody could stay on top for too long. As the referee was with Yukari and Reisen, who were busy with each other, ZUN attacked Aya on the other side of the ring with the championship belt, as soon as he saw Yukari winning the brawl with Reisen. Yukari was about to go over to Aya to pin her, Reisen got up again and hit the Circle Moon from behind. She ran over to Aya and pinned her to become new champion. A crowd-mocking, already celebrating ZUN counted the three-count together with the referee and only realized who really won as Reisen’s music played. ZUN was mad as hell, while Reisen celebrated this moment together with the fans. With Reisen holding the championship above her head, the show ends.</p><p>

I was a bit shocked to see Cirno's and Remilia's promos getting ratings in the 50s. Alice's shocking swerve went well though. Suika and Meiling are in need of some refreshment. While Ran was happy with her win, Reimu didn't like to lose tonight. I kinda have the feeling, that the <em>way</em> somebody loses does not come into consideration when their happyness/annoyance is calculated.</p><p>

In Shikoku, I fell from 65 to 62.

Every other region is still solid. Would it make sense to have shows in other regions to help me gain popularity?
