HGC: The TOTAL Makeover

HGC Bound By Blood (Sunday of Week 4, March 1997)

The PPV will open with a singles match between two HGC young guns, as Monty Walker takes on Paul Steadyfast. These two men met earlier in the month in tag team competition but tonight will see who the better man is when they stand alone.

After last week’s apparent disrespect shown by Vengeance, Giant Redwood has requested a loser leaves HGC match with the added stipulation being that the only way to win is to cut your opponent open so they bleed. This match will unquestionably be gruesome so viewer discretion is advised.

Following a double DQ finish on HGC Hollyweird TV, a rematch has been scheduled between The Nation Of Filth and The Demons Of Rage. Their altercations over the last month will likely make for an interesting bout.

Cowboy Ricky Dale will be defending his HGC International championship against the man who he beat to win the title in Brent Hill. Hill has been making life very difficult for the Cowboy who has valiantly fought through the adversity and looks to finish this feud now. Craig Prince and John Anderson (Human Arsenal), who are the new stable mates of Hill, will be keeping a keen eye on proceedings no doubt.

One third of Chase’s Saints, Liberty will be in singles action against Kill Nation member Peter Valentine. Valentine has demanded revenge for Emma Chase interjecting herself in his tag team match on Hollyweird TV and has claimed that he will make Liberty (ironically the man who pinned him in said match) pay.

The next match of the night will see the HGC World Tag Team Championships on the line as The Blazing Flames will look to defend their titles against the persistent Vessey Brothers in what is sure to be a clinic in tag team wrestling. Any upcoming tag teams would be wise to take notes.

Dread and Sam Strong’ rivalry will come to a head at Bound By Blood as the two will face off. Dread’s attacks on Strong have left the legendary competitor out for revenge. When two forces like these collide one must wonder who will come out as the better man.

The main event of the evening will be contested with the HGC World Heavyweight title on the line. Defending champion, Rip Chord will be going one-on-one against the monstrous BLZ Bubb. Karen Killer has said that she will not accompany either man at ringside. Has the devilish Karen Killer convinced Bubb to lie down for the cause, or have Rip’s actions over the past few weeks pushed the psychotic Bubb too far?

No Hollyweird? Thats like your wrestlemania wondering why you replaced it.

Wondering when somebody would ask this...:p

My two main shows are Malice In Wonderland and Total Mayhem, with the latter being my "Wrestlemania".

The reason behind me changing the name of the show and its importance is quite simple......I really don't like the name Hollyweird and I certainly don't want a PPV with that name. As you have probably ascertained by my diary's title, "the TOTAL makeover", it gives an indication of what my long term plans are for the promotion.

My biggest build up for a PPV will be evident in May for Total Mayhem I. The Hollyweird PPV never existed.......:p

An extended pyrotechnic display welcomes the viewers and those in attendance to the inaugural HGC pay-per-view, Bound By Blood. The sold out Isaak Road Arena is positively rocking with excitement. The camera pans around the audience; only briefly stopping to focus on certain signs or particular individuals in the crowd who are dressed in rather unique attire. We are now taken to the broadcast booth where Jason Azaria and Kyle Rhodes introduce us to the PPV.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Paul Steadyfast vs Monty Walker</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

A decent opening contest to the PPV features two men who are slowly making their way in the business go at it. Steadyfast displays his ever improving all-round game although at times, the cracks are still evident and the match occasionally drifts. After a missed flying forearm sent Steadyfast into the turnbuckle, Walker capitalised with a swift Walk On The Wildside neckbreaker and that was all she wrote; the pinfall soon followed.</p><p>

Giant Redwood vs Vengeance</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

A brutal bout between two monsters of professional wrestling. One making a name for himself at quite an impressive rate; the other, a recognised Giant. An interesting point is made by Jason Azaria on commentary. “How can you tell if Vengeance is bleeding under the skull mask he adorns.” With the match descending into a brawl almost from the word go and with the rules in place, the assigned referee could only watch as the chaos unfolded before him. Several near call missed chair shots were swung; each one getting that slight bit closer to its target. Vengeance and Redwood walked through most of each other’s offence to continue the assault. Redwood managed to get the upper hand with a giant slam that rendered his opponent motionless on the canvas. He left the ring and snatched the timekeeper’s bell before returning to loom over Vengeance. Like a corpse rising from the dead, Vengeance slowly sat bolt upright. Redwood began to measure. As Vengeance reached his feet, Redwood looked to strike. Just ducking in time, Vengeance swivelled and connected with a palm thrust to the throat of the Giant. A boot to the left leg had Redwood on his knees. Vengeance slowly raised the bell in the air before striking it with the attached hammer. “Gongggggggggggggg!” It echoed around the arena. “Crackkkkkkkkkk!” The bell was struck down onto the skull of Redwood who crumpled to the floor. The blood oozed from a sizeable gash on the big man’s forehead. The referee ended the match and in doing so, Giant Redwood’s HGC career. Rhodes said in passing. “For whom the bell tolls, Vengeance will be swift!” How very apt. </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">The Demons Of Rage vs The Nation Of Filth</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

The match looked like a continuation of their last outing and all credit goes to the referee for showing a great deal of lenience. A lot of dirty tactics from both teams were prevalent throughout. Eye rakes, low blows, thumbs to the eye and fish hooks all had their place. The end of the match came when Anger and Spite connected with a Double Demon Down of Stink. When Grunt went to make the interception, he was cut off thanks to a big boot from Anger. Spite picked up the winning pinfall.</p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Cowboy Ricky Dale © w/Emma Chase vs Brent Hill</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

The powerful Ricky Dale took charge of this match from the off. An early highlight say the Cowboy whip Hill into a corner and follow up with a running big boot that came very close to a three, but Hill just managed to get the left shoulder up. A couple hard lariats meant that Hill had to continually struggle to get back into the fight, but get back in he did. After being picked off of the canvas and with the referee out of position, Hill connected with a low blow that dropped the champion. Brent Hill began to go to work in his usual methodical manner. The dissecting of limbs in the hope to weaken the powerful Dale showed some success if only fleeting. Hill clasped his hands around the waist of Dale and snapped off a belly to belly overhead throw that sent the big man halfway across the ring and he began to ascend the turnbuckle. The King Of The Hill splash that would normally follow was countered by raised knees and the impact looked to have driven all the air out of Hill’s body. This allowed Rick Dale to capitalise with not one, not two, but three doses of Southern Justice. The pinfall that followed saw Ricky Dale retain his International title.</p><p>

Emma Chase enters the ring looking extremely pleased with her charge. She hands him the title and raises his arm all the while oblivious to what was going on behind them. Craig Prince and the newly christened John Anderson are standing with a worse for wear Brent Hill. Hill lunges at Emma Chase and restrains her by holding her arms. Dale spins to strike Hill but is met with an Ammo Dump, spinning euronogi and the beat down ensues. Prince and Anderson proceed to kick the hell out of Cowboy who hasn’t enough energy left to fight back and all Emma Chase can do is look on. Prince looks to finish off the Texan with a Katahajime and after a few moments, the Cowboy is out cold.</p><p> </p><p>

Jack Bruce appears at the entranceway with a chair in hand and he hobbles down to the ring as quickly as he can motor and clears the ring of Hill, Anderson and Prince. Chase and Bruce help to revive Dale who although victorious on the night, must feel that he lost when all was said and done.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Liberty w/Emma Chase vs Peter Valentine w/Karen Killer</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

A very entertaining brawl saw Peter Valentine dole out much of the punishment with his rudimentary offense that only gets adventurous as a death valley driver which he calls the Heartbreaker but on this night when it connected, was not enough to put Liberty away who remained resilient to the very end. However, by the same token, Liberty’s Liberation Slam could not put Valentine away. Killer, seeing that her client was in trouble, rose to the apron to distract the referee. This allowed Valentine to roll to the outside and pick up a steel chair. Emma Chase had enough of Karen Killer and made her way to the other side of the ring to pull her clean of the apron and the two began to go at it. Meanwhile, Valentine had entered the ring and prepared to strike. Liberty, who was distracted by the two managers brawling, could do nothing about the steel chair colliding with the back of his skull and laying him out. Referee Eugene Williams fortunately saw this and signalled that Valentine was disqualified.</p><p>

Karen Killer manages to get Emma Chase dragged backstage by HGC security and enters the ring where Valentine is standing over Liberty. The chair in his hand has blood trickling down it and onto the canvas. Killer is smiling broadly as she looks upon her client’s handy work. She signals that the beating should continue and so Valentine happily obliges. He raises Liberty onto his shoulders and connects with the Heartbreaker onto the chair and Liberty lies motionless in an ever growing pool of his own blood. Killer falls to her knees now visibly laughing. She wipes her finger down the blood soaked neck of Liberty before licking it clean. The camera just manages to pick up what she says to him. “You had to keep pushing it didn’t you Liberty.........Don’t you forget that love hurts!”</p><p> </p><p>

A clinic in tag team wrestling between two of THE top teams in the sport today. Fluidity and precision being common themes throughout. The Flames used their speed to isolate the elder of the Vesseys in Larry and used slick and efficient double team moves to keep him under control. Stereo dropkicks, double clotheslines and a particularly impressive double sitout spinebuster had Larry in trouble; only just managing to kick out. Larry saw an opportunity after a an errand crossbody from Joey Flame was avoided. A quick tag led to Bryan Vessey clearing house with an assortment of throws including what can only be described as a double german suplex, where he had one arm secured around each Flame’s waist before arching back and releasing them overhead. A brief stomp down on Teddy before Joey’s dropkick was caught by Bryan. Bryan dropped back and catapulted him right into a big boot courtesy of Larry. Bryan prepared himself to hit the Vessey Driver (double underhook piledriver) on Teddy Flame but found the move countered into a DDT. Larry came back in and began to put the boots into Teddy but before too much damage could be done, Joey helped his brother. The two sent Larry into the ropes and connected with a pair of dropkicks to the knee before sandwiching Larry’s head between two swift kicks. The pinfall attempt was interrupted by Larry just before the count of three. Bryan sent Teddy out of the ring with a big back body drop that sent the Flame high into the air before he came crashing back down to earth. This left the Vesseys with a two on one advantage and they capitalised in ruthless fashion. Joey fought back by dropping Larry Vessey with a Blaze Of Glory. Unfortunately for Joey this left him wide open for the Vessey Driver which allowed Bryan to pickup the pinfall victory. We have new tag team champions!</p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Sam Strong vs Dread</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Good vs Evil; the foundation of a great wrestling match. There were few catch-as-catch-can holds exchanged, instead we witnessed a good old fashioned slugfest. Dread taking his time in measuring Strong and every blow seeming to affect the crowd as much as it did Strong himself. Every punch drawing more and more empathy from those in attendance; willing their hero for the past two and a half decades to win. Urging him on. Strong used this energy and gradually clawed his way back into the contest. He blocked a right hand and connected with one of his own. He blocked another and connected with an even bigger punch. He can feel it now; almost shaking with anticipation of what is to come. An Irish whip sends Dread into the ropes. Dread rebounds and looks to hit a lariat but it is ducked. Strong quickly winds up and connects with a decapitating lariat of his own called the Strong Arm Tactic. Dread narrowly gets his shoulder of the canvas. Strong looks stunned. In 25 years only a handful of men have kicked out from this move. Dread is struggling to rise. Strong looks to pick him up but is kicked in the gut. Dread looks to set up the Dread Bomb. He lifts Strong into the air, but Strong slips out the back door. Dread pivots with his fist ready to strike. Strong one more time connects with the Strong Arm Tactic and this time it is enough to keep Dread down for the count.</p><p>

The two men meet in the centre of the ring. Bubb staring; unblinking. You can sense that there is a hatred simmering just underneath the surface, waiting for a sign to be unleashed. Chord stands bold; stiff upper lip. He points clearly at the canvas before yelling “LIE DOWN!” Bubb remains still; the calm before the storm. Chord repeats himself, this time with greater authority. Bubb shakes his head and smiles. Chord loosens and his head drops. He slaps Bubb right across the face with full force. Bubb moves with slap before returning his glare to Chord. He begins to shake and foam at the mouth he lets out a blood freezing scream that causes Chord’s eyes to widen with alarm. He realises he is in for a fight. </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i761.photobucket.com/albums/xx252/LoNdOn_BeAsT/TEW%20Dynasty/KarenKiller_alt.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Back and forth the fight goes. Chord relying on Bubb making mistakes and capitalising and this is how the match goes for nearly 20 minutes before Karen Killer makes her way to ringside. She is pleading with Bubb to reason. Bubb continues his assault on the already battered world champion. Killer enters the ring and steps in front of Bubb with her arms raised signalling Bubb to stop which he does. She tries to reason with him but he will have none of it and sweeps her out of the way. In doing so, referee Eugene Williams is sent to the canvas having caught Killer’s elbow in the side of the head. Bubb picks Chord up and signals for the Hades Bomb, but again Karen Killer jumps in the way. Bubb throws Chord to the floor and begins to stalk Killer, yelling all the while. She finds herself backed into a corner. She strikes him with all her might but he barely flinches. So she strikes him again this time with enough gusto to jolt his head to one side. Bubb finds himself spun around and hit with the Rip Chord DDT. The referee comes around in time to count the pinfall that followed.</p><p>

Jason Azaria/Kyle Rhodes

A flashy pyrotechnic display opens the show with a bang and the camera proceeds to scan the audience who are cheering as though their lives depended on it. A couple of signs made by audience members are focussed on before we are directed towards the broadcast booth where we see Jason Azaria and Kyle Rhodes who introduce us to the show.

The Machines vs Mucha Lucha

An entertaining bout that saw the technical proficiency of Brent Hill and John Anderson come to the forefront. A particularly nice sequence saw John Anderson connect with a wrist clutch driver on Eletrico and soon followed with the Ammon Dump. Brent Hill speared Mr Lucha off of the apron to prevent the pin interruption which allowed The Machines to pick up their debut tag win.

Craig Prince appears at the entranceway; clapping and smiling broadly. He makes his way down to the ring and heartedly pats both Anderson and Hill on the back before taking a microphone and raising it to his mouth.

Prince: “Now tonight John Anderson, Brent Hill and myself have promised to reveal our manager to you all. So without further ado, allow me to introduce to you, the head of Sneer Corporation......Mr Shane Sneer!”

http://i761.photobucket.com/albums/xx252/LoNdOn_BeAsT/TEW%20Dynasty/ShaneSneer.jpg

Sports agent extraordinaire Shane Sneer emerges from behind the curtain looking extremely smug. He points as a proud father would his own sons after achieving an award at school.

Sneer: “Thank you; thank you.........Now it’s no secret that I have made success stories around the world of professional wrestling. I can take the smallest star and make it shine brighter than any other. I have the ability to turn a lump of coal into a glittering diamond. I can turn a primitive brawler into a world class wrestling champion. On this occasion I have decided to alter my methodology. Here in HGC I will start from the highest of starting blocks because before your eyes, ladies and gentlemen is the future of professional wrestling.” Sneer gestures towards the three men standing beside him before continuing with gusto. “Craig Prince.......the Shooter.....the jewel in the crown of Sneer Corporation and a future World Heavyweight Champion.” Prince steps forward before swiftly bowing. “Anderson and Hill. These two men are wrestling machines, technical masters and the finest tag team you will ever see. There is no doubt in my mind that these two men will take the tag team titles in the near future and it will be no less than they deserve!” Hill and Anderson shake hands briskly before signifying title belts around their waists.”Ladies and gentleman on behalf of Sneer Corporation, this is our message. Professional wrestling is evolving and we are professional wrestling! We’ll see you at the top!”

The Machines shake Sneer’s hand before exiting the ring to a chorus of boos. Prince and Sneer stay in the ring and await The Shooter’s opponent.

Craig Prince w/Shane Sneer vs The Hype

Prince and The Hype put on a very solid technical display, once again proving that The Hype is far more than just a jobber. He not only came close to matching Prince in the technique department, but he also laced it with a dazzling array of aerial ability including a great back flip handspring into a jumping crescent kick. Prince managed to survive the initial onslaught and battle through to take the lead. After a short while of working on his opponent’s neck, Prince sunk in the Katahajime which left The Hype with no option but to tap.

Pablo Rodriguez vs BLZ Bubb

Bubb’s rage is still evident from the events that occurred at Bound By Blood and he really takes out his frustrations on his smaller opponent. Rodriguez has been doing well in Mexico and is often referred to as one of the best high fliers in professional wrestling today. Having said that, you have to bear in mind that he has been working with competitors his own size; BLZ Bubb is a different kettle of fish entirely. Bubb threw Pablo around like a ragdoll for the large majority of the match and only encountered brief glimpses of a fight back but nothing that was of a major concern. Bubb signalled the end for his opponent when he raised him high in the air, momentarily pausing before driving him down to the canvas with a Hades Bomb. The following pinfall ended proceedings.

BLZ Bubb defeated Pablo Rodriguez via pinfall

==========================================================

http://i761.photobucket.com/albums/xx252/LoNdOn_BeAsT/TEW%20Dynasty/TysonBaine.jpg

Bubb sat in the ring for a moment with a hauntingly vacant stare. He began to laugh, the kind of laugh one is accustomed to hearing only in nightmares. He exits the ring to retrieve a steel chair. Looming over his motionless victim, a sinister smile spreads across Bubb’s face. He raises the chair before striking – himself in the head repeatedly until he is visibly cut and the blood begins to seep. Bubb slumps back down to the mat and the blood begins to stain the canvas bright red. He runs his forefinger over the wound before using it as a painter would a brush, Pablo Rodriguez playing the role of parchment. The camera focuses on what Bubb is writing and the word “Rip” is clear. But Bubb is not yet finished......What originally read as Rip now reads R.I.P. A clear message to the World Heavyweight champion.

==========================================================

http://i761.photobucket.com/albums/xx252/LoNdOn_BeAsT/TEW%20Dynasty/RipChord.jpghttp://i761.photobucket.com/albums/xx252/LoNdOn_BeAsT/TEW%20Dynasty/KarenKiller_alt.jpg

Rip Chord is in his locker room with Karen Killer. A mixture of frustration, concern and confusion all fight for their place on Chord’s face.

Chord: “What the hell was that Karen?”

Killer stumbles for an explanation.

Killer: “.......well I told Bubb to lie down for you on Sunday, honest to God I did Rip!”

Chord is now visibly angered.

Chord: “Well it sure as hell looks like it didn’t do a damn thing.”

Killer: “He gets confused......Bubb must have thought that he had free will in the match....When he gets an idea in his head he is very single minded.......I.....I.......”

Chord interrupts.

Chord: “And what the hell was that crap just now? Karen I want you to sort this situation out and I want you to sort it out tonight!”

Killer: “I will. I will talk to him later. I just need to wait until he cools down from his match. I promise that this will be sorted Rip. Please accept my apology.”

Chord seems to calm as he nods ever so slightly.

Karen hurries off.

The Nation Of Filth vs Jack Bruce & Liberty w/Emma Chase

A contrast of styles seemed to favour the team of Liberty and Bruce and despite being together as a unit for only a brief period of time, they clicked, possibly more so than The Nation. Although bigger, Stink and Grunt are clumsy and ultimately this is what costs them. A powerslam was countered into a DDT and after tagging out to Liberty, the Liberation Slam sealed victory for Chase’s Saints. Bruce connected with a New York Minute to keep Grunt away from Liberty during the pin attempt. Stink had no chance in kicking out.

The camera follows Jack Bruce, Liberty and Emma Chase backstage to their locker room.

Liberty: “What’s the plan Jack? We’re getting it from all sides here. We need to come up with something before we are overrun.”

Bruce contemplates briefly before responding.

Bruce: “I was talking to Ricky about this last week. Kill Nation are attacking from one side and with Ricky’s problems with Sneer Corporation we might be getting in over our heads!”

Liberty: “You’re not filling me with confidence dude.”

Bruce: “That’s what I said, but Ricky said he was working on something, he mentioned about evening the odds.”

Liberty looks intrigued as Bruce continues.

Bruce: “He mentioned a few options but none of them seemed right. That is until I made a suggestion.”

Liberty: “Oh yeah?........Who?”

The camera fades to black as HGC goes to a commercial.

Monty Walker vs Paul Steadyfast vs Dread vs Sam Strong

An interesting dynamic in this match, with four men of contrasting skills and popularity ultimately led to a very good contest; Strong and Dread being kept apart from confrontation thanks to the other two participants in the match. That isn’t to say that Monty and Steadyfast were overshadowed, they actually managed to get in a fair amount of offense and in the process kept any interaction between the two big men to a minimum. Dread and Steadyfast began to act more like a team as the match grew long in the tooth and their efforts showed as the match significantly slowed down. A double team assault on Strong followed by a hard clothesline that was not too dissimilar to A Strong Arm Tactic rendered Sam useless on the floor outside. Walker looked to hit a running dropkick on Dread but found himself caught and thrown over the top rope and onto Strong. Steadyfast looked extremely happy with how events were unfolding and patted Dread on the back.........BIG mistake! Dread grabbed Steadyfast and connected with a powerful Dread Bomb that enabled him to pick up the winner’s share of the purse. The camera focussed on Dread managed to pick up what looked like him calling Steadyfast a “jackass”.

Dread defeated Paul Steadyfast via pinfall

Rip Chord w/Karen Killer vs Bryan Vessey

One word for this match; beautiful. Professional wrestling as it should be. Chord playing the typical, egotistical heel and young Vessey playing the popular, rising babyface. Bryan surprises Chord at every turn, going hold for hold with the veteran. Release suplexes and powerslams being the order of the day; the focus always on Chord’s neck. However, Karen Killer isn’t know as one of the best managers in the game for nothing and she earns her pay check by tripping Vessey as he looked to get momentum off of the ropes. Just out of referee Eugene Williams line of sight. Vessesy stumbled into Chord who took the opportunity to capitalise, connected with the Rip Chord DDT. The one-two-three followed uninterrupted.

Rip Chord defeated Bryan Vessey via pinfall

Killer takes a microphone from ringside and throws it into the ring to Chord who snatches it out of the air. Killer then takes a mic for herself before re-entering the ring.

Chord: “Do it Karen!”

Killer: “Bubb, please come out here right now. We need to talk.”

http://i761.photobucket.com/albums/xx252/LoNdOn_BeAsT/TEW%20Dynasty/TysonBaine.jpg

Bubb emerges from backstage and slowly but surely makes his way down and into the ring; Chord slightly backing off which makes the monster grin. The blood from his earlier battle now dried on his skin.

Killer: “What you did at Bound By Blood was unacceptable! You know what had to be done and yet you defiantly went against orders. This can’t become a trend Bubb. You’re lucky Rip won otherwise there would be severe consequences!”

Bubb’s lip curls into a snarl just as Chord steps into his face.

Chord: “You hear that big man? You do as you are told! That is your job. You’re not paid to think, you’re paid to do as instructed. Do you understand?!”

Bubb begins to bare his teeth and he starts to walk Chord into a corner. Killer jumps in to try and calm the situation down to little reward. Killer slaps Bubb across the face like she did on Sunday. The big man stops in his tracks. He is shaking with anger. Chord uses the distraction to jump out of the ring and is now standing halfway up the entrance ramp. Killer is now cornered. She is pleading furiously with Bubb, trying to reason to the best of her abilities. Bubb stops shaking and changes his expression to one of placidity. A wave of relief washes over Killer who cautiously passes Bubb when she is stopped in her tracks. Bubb has grabbed a handful of hair and isn’t letting go. Chord is going nuts outside the ring, warning Bubb, but never actually making an attempt to enter to try and stop him. Killer is screaming to the crowd’s delight. Bubb drags her into the middle of the ring. He lifts her by the throat before transitioning into a swift yet deadly Hades Bomb. Killer lies motionless on the canvas. Chord recoils from the impact. Bubb, kneeling next to Killer looks at Chord and his world title before signalling the end by drawing his thumb and finger across his throat. The maniacal laughter begins once again and the lights in the arena turn to an ominous shade of red.

We are left with the image of Killer out cold on the canvas with Bubb rocking back and forth next to her laughing all the while.

Prediction Results

BHK1978: 6/7 - Very nice score sir. This may take the win.

Chikbot: 5/7 - Good score! You were right that the mystery manager was a new signing but unfortunately I can't accept that as a right answer.

Jingo: 5/7 - Another good score for you Jingo. Almost earned a tie for the lead.

20LEgend: 6/7 - Hello and welcome to the diary. I noticed that you were the first to correctly guess Shane Sneer as the mystery manager so congratulations are in order. This score has tied you in first place.

Problem Solved

http://i761.photobucket.com/albums/xx252/LoNdOn_BeAsT/TEW%20Dynasty/GiantRedwood_alt2.jpg

As you can tell, I came to a decision upon Giant Redwood and his HGC role........He doesn’t have one.

To be fair he brought it on himself. As I said in a previous instalment, Redwood’s contract was coming to an end and two weeks ago it came time to negotiate. Now after all things considered, I had decided to extend his contract by nine months with the same pay he was on and continue his wild man gimmick. I believed this to be a fair deal and I had wrongly assumed that Redwood would snap it up.

This clearly wasn’t enough for him and he let it be known. Not only did he DEMAND that he get paid more money than both Rip and Sam he also DEMANDED a World title run. I actually asked him if he was joking but upon seeing his reaction I knew he wasn’t messing about.

For a man who, let’s face it, has p*** poor wrestling ability, and limited personality this was beyond a ridiculous request.

I pretty much told him where to go and that was that. Don’t expect to see Giant Redwood in an HGC ring anytime soon. On a positive note though, the Bound By Blood PPV (Stallings originally asked for it to be called Hollyweird) was quite a success. Even Giant Redwood’s performance was impressive and he really made Vengeance look like a force to be reckoned with (although he wasn’t too pleased with the booking).

Now by the time you read this, BLZ Bubb will have turned face without having altered his character in the slightest. The only difference being that he is now doing his work against the biggest heel in the company in Rip Chord. I have a nice little story in mind for Bubb to develop him as a character further and I just hope that he gets the same kind of reaction that he got after hitting the Hades Bomb on Karen Killer.

The crowd pop as BLZ Bubb hits the Hades Bomb on Karen Killer on Hollyweird TV (April, 1997)

Speaking of Killer, she took that move like a real trooper and she had no questions about it when I presented her with the idea; a great lady who is willing to put herself on the line when the situation calls for it.

Anyway, back to the road and race.

HGC Hollyweird TV (Tuesday of Week 2, April 1997)

A night of new arrivals!

The opening match of the night sees two new faces make their HGC debuts as Pablo Rodriguez teams up with fellow Mexican star, Spanish Superfly to take on Paul Steadyfast and British submission technician JD Morgan. These four young up and comers will no doubt provide a high octane encounter.

The Japanese masked man known as Dark EAGLE will be in singles action as he takes on the ever improving Monty Walker. After having recently competed against the likes of Dread and Sam Strong, will Walker be coming in with a new level of confidence that will carry him through or can the EAGLE bring his soaring opponent to the ground with a bang.

Another HGC debutant will be participating in singles action as Eric Tyler squares off against the technician, Bryan Holmes. This match could easily steal the show.

Former HGC World Tag Team champions, The Blazing Flames will go up against The Nation Of Filth.

Two of the best high fliers in HGC will be pitted against each other when The Hype goes against Mr Lucha. One thing will be certain; this match will be the quickest paced on the night. The winner, as yet still undecided.

HGC International Champion, Cowboy Ricky Dale has brought in a well known tag team to help Chase's Saints in their battle against seemingly one and all. They will be in 6 man tag action as they take on Sneer Coorporation.

A blockbuster tag team main event will headline the show when HGC World Heavyweight champion, Rip Chord teams with Dread as they go against Sam Strong and the sinister BLZ Bubb. In many ways, this show could be considered PPV worthy. Be sure to tune in.
