Starting to freeze alot in solo play

I never really had issues with freezing in the early days but lately it's been really bad. I get several freezes per season and have to do a CTRL/ALT/DELETE to open task manager to shut the game down. Then I can't reopen the game without rebooting my entire computer. The weird thing is in Task Manager, it still shows Running and not Not Responding.

 

This happens after clicking a button to advance the week, sometimes simming games but most often during the offseason. Just happened again trying to redshirt a player...I clicked REDSHIRT and the button lit up white but the action never took.

 

I've even tried letting the game sit for up to a half hour when this happens with no results.

I just started playing this game again after several years, and I'm having the exact same issue on my new computer. After it freezes and I shut it down, I can get to the title screen when I reload, but to load or start another game I need to reboot the whole computer. Maybe it's a Windows 7 compatibility problem?

I am running it with Windows 7 and do not have a problem. Only sometimes it seems to freeze when it tries to update the player morale but when I click on something within the game it is still working and I can continue to play.

I've had this problem among many others with this game ever since I bought it. It's been an unholy wreck and a mistake of a purchase.

Same problem here on the freezing. I like the game. I try to save the game a lot so I dont lose too much.
