MAW: The Struggle For Power

Recommended Posts

I guess I should drop in and give a little update to anyone who's reading. I've been rather busy with my local fire department the last few days. The show is about half done and I'm two minutes from walking out the door for work. So I'll sit down and finish her up tonight and get it posted late. Then we're on to The Proving Ground, MAW's first PPV since the diary made it's return! Thanks again for your support! Keep that view count rising!

font-size: 14px;">From there the match continued its fast pace while Glenn and Prudence were in the ring together.  Eventually, Prudence and Parker took control by using distractions on MAW Official Scott Styles and underhanded tactics.  James and Steven frequently tagged out and used the full five seconds to get double team moves in.  They worked over Aaron Andrews for the majority of the match until the Mid Atlantic Champion finally broke free and made the hot tag to KC Glenn.  Glenn came in a house of fire and cleared the ring.  Andrews and Glenn took up their own fights with Prudence and Parker respectively.  Glenn and Parker brawled on the outside as Andrews and Prudence went at it inside the ring.  Andrews ducked a clothesline and turned to catch James in the Ace Driver.  All the while on the outside, Parker had hit a DDT onto the floor, taking KC Glenn out of the equation.  Steven snuck onto the top rope and leapt just as Aaron Andrews turned around.  The crowd exploded when Aaron caught him in mid-air and set him up for an Ace Driver.  Parker went down hard from the move and referee Scott Styles counted the pinfall to award the match to Andrews and Glenn in just over sixteen minutes.</span></p><strong id=""><span style="font-family: century gothic,arial,sans-serif; The Proving Ground: A Preview

When: Sunday Week 4 November 2015

Doors Open: 6 P.M.

Bell Time: 7 P.M.

Where: The Mid Atlantic Center in Aberdeen, North Carolina (Mid Atlantic)

Main Event – Four Corner Survival for the Mid Atlantic Title

KC Glenn vs. Steven Parker vs. James Prudence vs. Aaron Andrews ©

Sans the Mid Atlantic Champion, these men have been in a hotly contested battle to determine a number one contender to the biggest prize in MAW. They fought one another in a three week series of matches to weed out the weak. That system failed, seeing each one finish with one win and one loss. Director of Operations Haley Buck said all four men were going to be in the main event of November’s pay-per-view. Can Aaron Andrews fend off not one, not two but three challengers and walk out with the Mid Atlantic Title still intact? Or will another new face earn MAW gold?

Steel Cage Match

Aaron Fujita vs. Lenny Brown

These two men have had tension building up between them since the second episode of Uprising in November. Aaron picked up a clean victory over the ex-SWF star and Brown didn’t take too kindly to it. After the match was over he jumped Fujita as he celebrated and left him lying in the ring. Fujita came out the next week and said he was sick of being stepped on and would not stand for that kind of disrespect. The two were involved in a wild brawl most recently and now they meet inside of a steel cage to settle their differences. Will Aaron Fujita get the respect he’s seeking? Or will Lenny Brown take out MAW’s resident weather man?

Grudge Match

Josh Jones vs. Davis Wayne Newton

Davis Wayne Newton is looking to re-plant himself after losing the Mid Atlantic Title one month ago. He chose Josh Jones as his target. Davis came out and confronted Josh Jones, telling him flat out that he was next on the list. Josh Jones never backed down, but Newton began playing dirty. He began attacking Jones and even took things as far as convincing Nelson Callum to change his ways and become more ruthless. Now just one night removed from a vicious two on one attack, Josh Jones looks to gain a measure of revenge. Will he defeat the most recent former Mid Atlantic Champion? Or will Davis Wayne Newton find his foothold and take the first step back towards the Mid Atlantic Title?

Mid Atlantic Traditional Title

Casey Valentine vs. Frankie Perez

Casey Valentine was able to pick up a tag team victory over the new Traditional Champion at MAW Wrestling early in the month. Valentine has always been one to use gold to define himself in the wrestling business, as proven by his three and a half year reign with the Mid Atlantic Title. Now he ahs his sights set on Frankie Perez’s Traditional Title. Can Frankie carry the momentum from his title win at WIABA through this match and walk out with his title? Or will Casey Valentine look to start a new reign of glory with the Traditional Title?

Ladder Match for the Mid Atlantic All Action Title

Hugh de Aske vs. Lassana Makutsi ©

Hugh de Aske has had a relatively quiet run in MAW, except for a year long reign as the All Action Champion back in 2012. Hugh made the challenge to Lassana Makutsi to give him an opportunity to earn the opportunity. Makutsi granted him the request, but cheated to win prompting Director of Operations Haley Buck to grant the pirate his title shot in a ladder match. Will Hugh climb to new heights and become only the second two-time All Action Champion? Or will Lassana Makutsi send the pirate’s dreams crashing down?

Also Scheduled To Appear: Zimmy Bumfhole, Kirk Jameson, Darryl Devine, El Heroe Mexicano, Cameron Vessey, Sammy Shark, Mid Atlantic Alternative Champion Seth Whitehead and more!

Looking for a C-Verse diary to read, so I'm giving this a try. Sorry if my picks are off, I don't know much about the C-Verse and I just started reading your dynasty.

Quick Match Listing

KC Glenn vs. Steven Parker vs. James Prudence vs. Aaron Andrews ©

(I think all that posturing was to make Aaron Andrews look stronger)

Aaron Fujita vs. Lenny Brown

(I was looking for Aaron Fujita in the database, but I can't find him so I don't know who he is. Nice render you're using.)

I'm glad that you're following. Aaron Fujita is my user character. I used Jack Avatar as the base at the beginning of the game and changed his name and picture. Aaron Fujita is the name of my e-wrestling character that I currently handle and that's the render that was done for him in the fed. Thanks for your comments!

As for the show, it'll probably be delayed until tomorrow evening or Sunday evening. I've got work tonight from 3 to 11 and then tomorrow from 6 AM to 4 PM. I'll work on the show tomorrow when I get home, but the predictions are still hanging in the air for right now so there's plenty of time to get them in!

There's still time to get predictions in. I was able to get a bit done with the show tonight, but we ended up having two fire calls between 4 and 8, so my time was limited. I'm heading to bed for work in the morning but tomorrow (barring anymore calls) I should be able to belt this thing out and get 'er posted.

Allright, the show WILL be up tonight. It's written. Completely. But I've been trying to code it and the editor keeps messing up on me. I have to work in just a little bit so I'll try and get it up before I leave, but no promises there. I do however promise that The Proving Ground will be up tonight when I'm home from work.

font-size: 14px;">The All Action Title was hung high above the ring and two ladders were placed at ringside.  Hugh de Aske and Lassana Makutsi stared at each other and then looked to the belt many times as the bell rang.  The opening few minutes of the match was a bit of a feeling out process with chain wrestling.  After three minutes or so of this they ended up in a standoff.  Both men stared at each other again and then looked to the two ladders outside.  Both men bolted to the outside to retrieve them and got back into the ring at the same time.  Instead of setting them up, they began having a ladder fight, swinging them at each other wildly.  The middle of the match had numerous attempts to retrieve the belt by both men, but neither made it further than half way up the ladder.  As they approached ten minutes in the match, Hugh de Aske pulled Makutsi off the ladder and onto his shoulders.  In a moment that stunned the crowd, Hugh caught his opponent with the Cut-Throat Driver.  He had the opportunity to climb the ladder and grab the belt, but wanted to inflict more damage.  Hugh looked under the ring and pulled out a table.  He got it set up inside the ring and dragged Lassana to a laying position on the hardware.  Hugh began climbing the ladder, but Makutsi recovered and began climbing the ladder on the opposite side.  They both reached the top at the same time and began to trade blows.  Hugh had the advantage for a few moments but Lassana grabbed the belt as it hung and rammed it into Hugh’s skull.  The priate was reeling allowing Makutsi to step up another rung and leap over top of his opponent, grabbing Hugh’s legs.  Hugh fell from the ladder as Lassana slammed him through the table with a HUGE sunset powerbomb from the ladder.  The crowd started a chant that referred to fecal matter as the All action Champion stood and slowly climbed the ladder to unhook his title belt and make defense number five of the title.</span></p><p id=""><strong id=""><span style="font-family: century gothic,arial,sans-serif; Here's Part II....finally. I came home and got started coding the show. I did the entire thing all over again with the intention of just deleting part 1 and posting the entire thing as one post. I've been using the editor that crayon put together and as I went to insert the overall show grade image, Firefox crashed on me and I was left with nothing. So with it already being 2 AM I only coded what was left to be coded. I did this before so lets try it again.....

font-size: 14px;">The crowd still wasn’t fully into the matches, but these two put on a great match regardless.  Casey came out of the gate with the advantage from a collar and elbow tie up after a short feeling out process.  He held that advantage for the first five or so minutes until Frankie was able to catch him with an enziguri from nowhere.  Frankie took a second to catch his breath and then went on the attack, using his puroresu skills to his advantage.  He began showing the American fans all of his Japanese influences as he used numerous moves that dropped Valentine on his head and neck.  Frankie got a lot of near falls here, but Casey just wasn’t ready to go down.  As they crossed into the thirteenth minute, Frankie tried a high angle Backdrop Driver, but Valentine flipped over head and landed on his feet behind Perez.  The challenger leapt into the air and landed an enziguri to the side of Perez’s head and then quickly lifted him up looking for the Deep Impact.  Perez wiggled free and landed behind Valentine this time.  Frankie reached forward and placed his hands on Casey’s shoulders.  He leapt over top of him with a leapfrog and turned immediately.  Casey had no time to react as Frankie caught his with a move known as the brake-check lariat.  The crowd let out a huge “OHHHHHH” when the move connected.  Perez got a believable near fall and got back to his feet.  He hoisted Valentine up and fired a clothesline, but Casey wasn’t completely out of it as he ducked and lifted Frankie into the air for the Deep Impact.  Frankie got free once more and spun Valentine around, planting a boot into his gut before grabbing a front facelock.  Perez planted Casey with the Perfect Parity (Small Package Driver) and picked up the three count to retain his title.</span></p><p id=""><strong id=""><span style="font-family: century gothic,arial,sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">The rules were that you could only win the match by escaping the cage.  With the heated rivalry between these two men, the nervousness about being locked inside a cage with each other was evident on their faces.  There was hardly any feeling out process as this one became a fight in a hurry.  After a few minutes of trading blows, Lenny Brown got the advantage and took Fujita into the cage with a throw.  Aaron bounced off and landed on his feet.  Aaron smiled at Lenny and begged for more.  Brown came in with a back elbow and then tossed Aaron into the cage again.  Aaron’s face crashed against the steel mesh and he bounced back into the ring.  Aaron pulled himself up and laughed once more.  He charged Lenny, but Brown sidestepped and used Aaron’s momentum to launch him into the cage once more.  Aaron crashed to the mat after his face connected with the steel again and Lenny made his way to the corner, climbing to the top rope and hoisting himself up.  Aaron pulled himself up and now had blood trickling from his forehead.  The trickle soon became heavier and Aaron rushed over to Lenny’s position.  Just before Brown was on the top of the cage, Aaron climbed to the top rope and grabbed his leg.  Fujita pulled Brown back in and gave him a Russian Leg Sweep from the top rope that had both men down.  After a few moments they both crawled towards the door, which was opened by Shane Stones.  They traded blows and then got back to their feet.  They moved back to the center of the ring and traded more blows, allowing the cage door to be closed once more.  The match continued in normal cage match fashion, with escape attempts thwarted by opponents.  They crossed into the tenth minute and the risk that these men were willing to take became clear.  They both tried escaping from adjacent corners, reaching the tiop of the cage at the same time.  Lenny turned himself to a sitting position on the top of the steel structure as Aaron got to standing position.  Aaron nimbly ran along the top side of the cage and used the steel cable that suspended the cage from the ceiling to swing around and catch Brown with an enziguri to the back of the head.  Lenny fell forward, flipping through the air and landing on his back fifteen feet below.  Instead of trying to escape, Fujita looked down on his fallen foe and set himself up for the most spectacular move of the evening.</span></p><p id=""> </p><p id=""><span style="font-family: century gothic,arial,sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">Aaron faced the crowd and leapt backwards into the air, all the while doing a front flip.  He came crashing down hard across Lenny Brown’s mid section with the Convective Inhibition and collapsed into a heap on the mat.  The crowd cheered, trying to will him on to victory.  Neither man moved for nearly thirty seconds, but finally they crawled to the ropes, oblivious to each other and began climbing.  Slowly each man climbed to the top rope and then propelled themselves onto the top of the structure.  Once they each reached the top they became aware of their opponent and began trading blows while in a sitting position on top of the cage.  The strikes started off weak, but they began to grow with intensity as they went on.  Soon enough, both men had lifted themselves to a standing position on the top of the cage and continued trading strikes.  Aaron was using forearms and Lenny was using right hands, but neither man was able to get the advantage.  Finally, Aaron had had enough and grabbed Lenny’s head, bringing his own skull in with a sickening headbutt that reverberated off the walls of The Mid Atlantic center.  Lenny staggered backwards and caught himself with the steel support cable.  He came back forward, but Aaron caught him with two more successive headbutts.  Time seemed to slow down as Lenny fell forward, towards the ring.  His body flipped in the air and he landed hard on his back in the center of the ring.  Aaron was left at the top of the cage to slowly sit down and shimmy his way to the floor.  The bell rang as Aaron collapsed to the ground, his face still matted with blood, in victory.</span></p><strong id=""><span style="font-family: century gothic,arial,sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">Next up was the highly anticipated contest between Davis Wayne Newton and Josh Jones.  The match started out with a short feeling out process.  After two or three minutes it ended though as Davis Wayne Newton took control.  He began by tying Josh up in numerous holds, but josh was able to wiggle free from most of them.  Newton eventually resorted to his advantage in striking to hold the advantage.  Newton wore Jones down until they crossed into the tenth minute.  Here Josh Jones wiggled free of a powerbomb attempt and landed a lariat that knocked both men down.  Shane Stones administered his standing ten count.  Both men finally moved at the count of seven and pulled themselves up using the ropes on opposite sides of the ring.  Josh charged Davis in the center of the ring and Newton shoved Jones into the ropes.  Josh rebounded and ducked a clothesline, hitting the ropes again.  When he came back he leapt into the air and landed on Newton’s shoulders.  Jones snapped Davis over with a hurrincanrana and got a believable near fall.  Jones went on the offensive from here, using his aerial advantage to take it to DWN.  As they approached the fifteenth minute, Jones went up top and leapt off.  He flipped once in the air, landed on Newton’s shoulders and snapped him over with a dragonrana that netted him a VERY believable near fall.  Jones left Newton on the ground and went back up top, looking for another high risk move.  Newton recovered and climbed to the second rope to stop him.  The two traded blows, but Newton got the edge and grabbed a front facelock.  He lifted Jones into the air and fell backwards, landing a Fisherman’s Suplex from the top rope.  Newton hooked the leg and got the pinfall to capture victory.</span></p><p id=""><strong id=""><span style="font-family: century gothic,arial,sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">The match was to be contested under tag rules, meaning only two men would be in the ring at once.  Aaron Andrews insisted that he start the match off in the ring while Steven Parker and James Prudence argued.  Eventually James Prudence was selected to be the man to start.  He and Aaron Andrews circled one another a few times before coming together in a collar and elbow tie up.  Andrews got the advantage with a headlock, but was quickly shoved into the ropes.  Prudence remained in the center of the ring as Andrews came back and landed a tackle that put James down.  The two embarked on a two minute long series of chain wrestling that ended with both men kipping up in a stalemate.  The crowd cheered as they each went to the corner and tagged in KC Glenn and Steven Parker.  These two circled each other and came together with KC Glenn picking Parker’s leg.  Parker hit his back as Glenn hit the ropes.  Glenn hopped over the downed Steven Parker and hit the ropes again.  Parker was up and leapt over the running KC Glenn.  Glenn came back and was snapped over with an arm drag.  Parker and Glenn tried to one-up the first few minutes of the match with chain wrestling of their own.  Their showing did not end in a stalemate though.  Glenn snapped Parker out of the ring with a head scissors takeover and then approached the ropes as Steven tried to gain his footing on the outside.  Glenn leapt onto the top rope, spinning to face the inside of the ring.  He used the rope as a springboard and launched himself backwards with a moonsault that took Steven Parker down.  Glenn got back up and gave high fives to the crowd as he walked around the ring.  Parker got back to his feet, staggered as Glenn saw him from around the corner.  Glenn charged towards the ring post and dove between the bottom and middle turnbuckles, cutting the corner.  He latched onto Parker’s head and drove it into the ground with a spectacular tornado DDT.  Glenn rolled Steven into the ring and got a two count to round out their fast paced flurry of moves.</span></p><p id=""> </p><p id=""><span style="font-family: century gothic,arial,sans-serif; Thanks for your predictions man! I appreciate the following and the fact that you're sticking with me even after the long hiatus. It really means a lot.

I got a few of them while I was regional and did some editing to keep them with me. I don't feel as dirty now though seeing that I'm Cult and could realistically sign them exclusively. I've been using a brand split to run my two smaller shows without having to use all my main guys, but I think its giving me a bloated roster. I'm having trouble finding stuff for all my guys.

<table width="40%"><tbody><tr><td align="center">Just the night before Uprising I was able to sign Hijo Del Aguila Americana to a contract with us. We decided to keep it on a pay per appearance so he could continue to wrestle in Mexico. We also repackaged him as Bald Eagle here in MAW to hopefully get him accepted by the American fans.

Sage: Welcome to the sold out Mid Atlantic Center in Aberdeen, Virginia for MAW Uprising! I’m AJ Sage alongside my colleague Duke Hazzard!

Hazzard: Thank ya, AJ.

Sage: We’re coming off of a HUGE pay-per-view event last Sunday and what a show it was! Aaron Andrews retained the Mid Atlantic Title but Davis Wayne Newton laid claim to his rematch this month at Night of Champions. One has to wonder what may go down tonight between those two. Let’s get into the action with our opening match of the night!

Zimmy Bumfhole vs. Casey Valentine

These two men put on a good opening bout, but the crowd was still settling in and weren’t fully into it. Casey Came out of the gate gaining the advantage off of a collar and elbow tie up and would hold control for the first five minutes. His arrogance was his downfall when it came to crunch time. Zimmy was able to recover while Casey was showboating and took control. Casey desperately tried to make a comeback, but Zimmy had an answer for him at every turn. Bumfhole was able to hit the Bumfhole In One (Frog Splash) to pick up the victory.

Winner: Zimmy Bumfhole

http://www.clabobby.com/maw/72.jpg

Sage: A solid victory for Zimmy Bumfhole! He just beat the longest reining Mid Atlantic Champion in the history of this company!

Hazzard: Casey isn’t going to be too happy about this. He done lost two big matches in a row!

#1 Contendership to the All Action Championship

Dominic Devito vs. Jefferson Stardust w/ Lisa Bowen

Both of these men were focused on doing battle with a shot at the All Action Title hanging in the balance. Jefferson Stardust fought the match taking direction from Lisa Bowen on the outside and looked good for the first half. He was never in complete control, but had Devito reeling. Dominic was able to regain his footing after landing a devastating desperation clothesline that got him a near fall. Jefferson attempted a Stage Dive as the match wore on, but Dominic was able to rolls out of the way and land a Crucifix Powerbomb to pick up the victory and become the new #1 Contender.

Winner and new #1 Contender for the All Action Title: Dominic Devito

http://www.clabobby.com/maw/75.jpg

Sage: Dominic Devito is the new number one contender! He’s been on a roll as of late and that might just mean we could have a new All Action Champion!

Hazzard: Lassana Makutsi had better be prepared.

Sage: Speak of the devil! Here comes Lassana out of the back!

http://www.clabobby.com/maw/Dominic%20Devito.jpghttp://www.clabobby.com/maw/Lassana%20Makutsi.jpg

Angle Featuring: Dominic Devito and Lassana Makutsi

The crowd boos as the All action Champion comes to the ring in his wrestling gear. Jefferson Stardust and Lisa Bowen pass by him as they retreat to the back. Dominic has his back turned to the champion as he gets to his feet, allowing Makutsi the chance he needs. Lassana rushes into the ring and jumps Devito from behind, sending him face first into the corner. Makutsi rams the Italian’s head into the turnbuckle several times before pulling him to the center of the ring and dropping him with an implant DDT. The crowd boos as the champion asks for a microphone and hands his belt off at the same time.

Sage: Now this is just uncalled for! Dominic Devito just won a hard fought match!

Makutsi: I did not authorize this contest for two undeserving nobodies to get the right to face me for my title! I should be the only man that determines who is worthy of a title shot. But since Haley Buck arrived to give you people, you ugly and inbred people what they want, I’ve had to deal with it. So you won your shot fair and square Dominic. But you’re not going to have any time to prepare! You’re getting your shot RIGHT NOW!

Lassana tosses the microphone out of the ring and rushes towards Devito as Shane Stones looks confused and signals for the bell.

Sage: The All Action Title is on the line but we have to go to a commercial break! Folks don’t go anywhere!

Back from the break and Lassana Makutsi is still taking it to Dominic Devito. The champion is being relentless with his strikes. Dominic tries to put together strings of offense, but its to no avail as Makutsi, the fresher man, has the energy to fend him off. Finally Devito was able to land a clothesline out of desperation, but it had little force behind it and only served to knock Makutsi down. The champion approached his challenger and lifted him to his feet. Makutsi hit the ropes and came back with a boot to Devito’s head that doubled him over. Now the champion hit the ropes and came over top with a sunset flip, but Devito rolled through and fell forwards onto Makutsi, folding him in half. Shane Stones dropped down and made the three count to crown Dominic Devito the new All Action Champion.

Winner and NEW All Action Champion: Dominic Devito

http://www.clabobby.com/maw/Haley%20Buck.jpg

Angle Featuring: Haley Buck

Dominic Devito is awarded his title on the outside of the ring before making his way to the back. Lassana Makutsi, still in disbelief, makes his way out of the ring looking irate as well. Half way up the ramp, the music of Haley Buck hits the system and the Director of Operations makes her way out from the back. As she passes Makutsi, she motions for him to stop before she continues towards the ring. She climbs in, a microphone already in her hand, and addresses everyone.

HB: First off, so I don’t have to hear you complain for weeks on end Lassana; you can have your rematch against Dominic Devito in three weeks at Night of Champions. Now for more important business; the 2016 Rip Chord Invitational is right around the corner. I have already extended invitations to two of MAW’s best in El Heroe Mexicano and Aaron Fujita. Over the course of the next month, more invitations will be given to people who are worthy of an appearance in one of the most prestigious wrestling tournaments today. But I am only going to issue fourteen invitations. The last two spots will have to be won. I’m going to be studying all of our top talent in the weeks leading up to the tournament to see who deserves to be there and who needs to prove themselves by winning their bid. Tonight, I’d like to announce the third participant. I spoke with him backstage just a few moments ago and he accepted the invitation. The third man to enter the RCI will be KC Glenn!

The crowd cheers as Haley nods her head and drops the microphone as the show heads to commercial.

Antonio vs. Frankie Perez©

Antonio is still trying to re-cement his place in MAW after returning from a six year sabbatical from the Mid Atlantic. He had his work cut out for him hear as Frankie Perez put the Traditional Title on the line. Antonio started the match on the attack, trying to weaken Perez before any offense could be mounted. It worked for a little while as Frankie was reeling. The champion took control after Antonio missed a leg drop from the second rope and never looked back. Antonio fought defeat, but following a Perfect Parity (Small Package Driver) Frankie picked up the pinfall to make defense number 3 of the Traditional Title.

Winner: Frankie Perez

http://www.clabobby.com/maw/75.jpg

http://www.clabobby.com/maw/James%20Prudence.jpg

Angle Featuring: James Prudence

The crowd cheers loudly as Frankie Perez’s hand is raised in victory. Referee RM Stones hops out of the ring to retrieve the Traditional Title belt. As he turns from the time keeper’s table to head back to the ring, James Prudence hops the barrier from the crowd. He rushes towards the referee and snatches the Traditional Title belt from his hands. Prudence doesn’t miss a stride as he runs to the other barrier and hops it as well, rushing off into the sea of fans.

Sage: Well Frankie Perez retained his title.

Hazzard: But he didn’t retain it. Ha. Get it?

Sage: I got it Duke. What is James Prudence thinking? He just stole the Traditional Title! He’ll have some explaining to do!

Aaron Fujita vs. Cameron Vessey

Cameron Vessey put up one hell of a fight in this match. He had Fujita reeling for the opening part of the match until Fujita was able to land a series of suplexes. After being in control for a few minutes and getting several near falls, Aaron fell victim to an onslaught of offense from Cameron Vessey again. Vessey was looking as if he would pull out an upset victory. He was on the top rope, perched for a high risk move. Fujita recovered in time to climb to the second rope, and after a bit of jockeying for position, hit the Downdraft (Turnbuckle Brainbuster) to pikc up the pinfall victory.

Winner: Aaron Fujita

http://www.clabobby.com/maw/82.jpg

Sage: Another solid showing by Cameron Vessey in that match.

Hazzard: He’s been turning a lot of heads lately, but just hasn’t been able to pick up the big win.

Sage: You’re absolutely right. Aaron Fujita picks up some more momentum heading towards the 2016 Rip Chord Invitational.

Sammy Shark vs. Aaron Andrews©

Sammy Shark had the opportunity of a lifetime in the main event as he battled for the Mid Atlantic Title. He took Aaron Andrews by surprise in the opening minutes, using a series of roll ups to garner himself numerous near falls. The Mid Atlantic Champion was soon able to get his wits about him and took control. Andrews wore Sammy down with a series of suplexes and throws before setting him up for the Ace Driver. Sammy wiggled free and landed a dropkick that sent Aaron face first into the turnbuckle. Aaron stumbled out, right into a clothesline attempt from his challenger. Aaron ducked it and landed a boot to the stomach before landing the Ace Driver to pick up the victory and another title defense.

Winner: Aaron Andrews

Angle Featuring: Davis Wayne Newton and Aaron Andrews

MAW Official Scott Styles hands Aaron Andrews his Mid Atlantic Title as Sammy Shark vacates the ringside area. Andrews’ music hits the system as he pulls himself to his feet. The crowd cheers the champion as he holds the title high above his head. Suddenly, his music is interrupted by that of Davis Wayne Newton. Newton comes from the back clapping and a microphone held under his arm. He continues clapping for a few more seconds and then brings the microphone up to his mouth as he begins to move towards the ring.

DWN: That was an impressive win Aaron. I mean you must be very proud that you were able to defend the Mid Atlantic Title against a midcard talent in the main event of MAW’s flagship television show. Who wouldn’t be proud of that? I was worried there for a second.

Andrews stares at Newton as he reaches the base of the ramp. Davis doesn’t stop there, but continues up the ring steps and between the ropes into the ring. Aaron places the title belt onto his shoulder as Newton approaches and stands just a few feet away.

DWN: I came out here tonight with one thing in mind; I was wondering if you got my message last week. You put on a hell of a show in the main event of The Proving Ground. I really mean that. All the boys were watching backstage and I was there too. If you can believe it, I was ecstatic when your hand was raised following that match. No matter who had won, I was coming for that title. But when you won, it brought whole new meaning to my rematch. You got lucky at Where It All Begins Again when you beat me for that belt. It will not happen again. In three weeks, when we meet, I WILL get my title back. Let’s face it, you aren’t half the competitor that I am. No matter what you throw at me, no matter how hard you fight I will walk into 2016 as the Mid Atlantic Champion.

Newton drops the microphone and takes a few steps forward until he is face to face with Aaron Andrews. No words are exchanged. Davis just makes the belt motion at his waste. Aaron smirks and grabs the Mid Atlantic Title from his shoulder, thrusting it high into the air.

Sage: The tension between these two is so thick you can feel it!

Hazzard: I have a feeling that things are about to break down into a brawl, partna.

Sage: I’m sorry to say that we’re out of time on Uprising! Join us next week on National Pride TV!

Clare and I decided to have a night out on the town after we got done at work on Wednesday. It had been a while since we had even just gone to dinner, so we decided to see a movie and grab some grub. I was in my office finishing up some paperwork on our newest acquisition, Flying Jimmy Foxx. I decided to bring Jimmy in on a per appearance agreement to give our midcard a bit of a facelift. At the age of 35 he’ll never become a star in MAW, but he’ll be a solid addition to help our youngsters learn the trade. Phillip Roberts had called me earlier that day and asked to meet with me at two o’clock to discuss some things. I was impressed that he was taking the initiative to talk business with me, so I agreed immediately despite my plans to try and cut out early. I glanced at my watch and saw it was two, only to hear my phone buzz. I answered it and Clare told me that Phil was here, but he wasn’t alone. Before she could tell me who it was, I heard the two of them speaking in the hall way as they walked by my office and towards Phil’s.

Voice: Everything is going smoothly?

A voice unfamiliar to the walls of our building had spoke. I shook my head and locked my computer before standing up and slowly making my way to my office door. As I exited my office and shut the door behind me Phil and his guest entered his office and were still talking, loud enough I could still hear them.

Phil: Smooth as a baby’s bottom. The goals I put in place for him will make sure they don’t grow too fast.

I thought for a second I miss heard Phil, but shook the confusion off and knocked on his door jamb. His conversation stopped and he called for me to enter. I did and confirmed who I had thought was with Phil. I walked into the office and took the seat offered to me by my boss; a chair right next to SWF owner Richard Eisen. I couldn’t believe that Phil had brought a rival owner to our business meeting. I understood that Richard was Phil’s boss, but we weren’t talking SWF. We were talking MAW.

Aaron: Richard. It’s nice to see you.

I lied as I turned to extend my hand to him. I had not been given a reason to dislike Richard other than the fact he was the owner of a rival promotion, but that was enough of a reason for me. He shook my hand and greeted me with a big smile.

Richard: Aaron, it’s good to see you again.

I smirked as I thought about the last time I had spoken to him. He was telling me I wasn’t going to amount to anything in the big leagues and turned me away after a tryout match with SWF. I’m not exactly sure, but I think he’s been kicking himself in the ass ever since.

Aaron: So what’s up Phil? What did you need to meet about?

Phil opened his desk drawer and pulled out a tiny notebook. He flipped a few pages and came to rest where a few things had been written. I was impressed that he had taken the time to write a list of things he wanted to speak to me about.

Phil: I think there’s a few things we should discuss. I know you’ve got this brand split in place to try and keep our upper level guys happier, but to be honest its costing us extra money.

He paused, like he knew I would have something to say. I did.

Aaron: You mean it’s costing ME money?

I said with emphasis. He sighed and chuckled a bit.

Phil: Well if you want to split hairs then yes. The fact of the matter is that if this brand split nonsense were to end, we would be able to make some roster cuts.

I cleared my throat and leaned forward in my chair. Phil looked intent on his suggestion, but I was willing to fight him.

Aaron: We’re still making money every month, but just for argument’s sake. Say we end the brand split; we would have to release five or six of our top tier talents. Aside from the fact that they’re all on written contracts and we’d have to pay them severance, who would we get rid of? Every one of those guys is essential to our product.

Phil leaned back in his chair and I saw his eyes travel from me to look at Richard and then back. I acted as if I didn’t notice and listened for Phil’s response.

Phil: I think it’s time that we go back to MAW’s roots; start developing talent again. Nelson Callum and Kirk Jameson would stay for sure. But established guys like Aaron Andrews, Davis Wayne Newton, Zimmy Bumfhole and others wouldn’t have a place with MAW if we were developing talent.

I finally was enlighted. I could see what was going on. I slightly shook my head and leaned back in my chair as I watched Phil’s eyes look to Richard again. I was sure if I turned to look at Eisen too, I’d see him pulling strings like a puppeteer.

Aaron: I respect Rip Chord and everything he did in this company. But Rip had gotten over that developing talent notion. He wanted me to take MAW to new heights. He wanted me to take MAW to a level that it could compete with the best promotions in the world. He wanted to be seen as being on the same level as TCW, NOTBPW and SWF. That’s what I’m going to continue. We’re not ending the brand split.

Phil’s eyes looked to Richard again and I sighed.

Phil: I tried to do this in a civil manner Aaron. But you leave me no choice. As your boss I am telling you that you need to end the brand split and get rid of some talent.

I immediately cracked a huge smile. Phil frantically looked to Richard and then back to me.

Aaron: Take a look at my contract, Phil. Rip signed me for ten years as both a talent and his head booker. In that contract it states that I have the final say in creative decisions, talent structuring and a few other things. I’m pretty sure the brand split lands under the talent structuring.

Phil was hot under the collar I could tell. Then for the first time since I had walked in, Richard spoke.

Richard: He’s right Phil. If he wants to continue throwing his money away, let him.

Phil nodded and sighed. He then looked back to me with another intent on his mind. I knew I wasn’t going to like this either.

Phil: The other thing I needed to talk to you about is about the arena. Richard here is interested in using it as a touring location for SWF. I told him it shouldn’t be a problem and that we would be able to let him use it no charge. Sound good?

I was about ready to pop. I straightened myself in my chair and looked Phil right in the eyes.

Aaron: No.

Phil’s eyes narrowed as he laughed a bit, thinking I was joking.

Phil: Excuse me?

Aaron: I said no. The Mid Atlantic Center is our headquarters. I’m not going to allow our competition to roll in here and use the joint free of charge.

Richard piped up.

Richard: Then we can work out a discounted rate to rent the building. Times are tough right now Aaron.

Aaron: No negotiations are needed Richard. I don’t feel comfortable letting our competition come in and use our arena. This place is MAW and MAW only.

Phil stood up and dropped his pen onto the desk as he started pacing.

Phil: I’m over ruling you on that one Aaron. Richard is willing to pay us some extra cash to use the venue and you’re going to turn that down?

I stood up to match Phil’s stance. I placed my hands on his desk and leaned forward.

Aaron: You can’t over rule me, Phil. You didn’t really read the legal stuff when you got in on this deal did you? Check the deed on the building; it’s got my name not MAW. I own this building because I built it with my money.

Phil stopped in his tracks and shook his head.

Phil: You’re really making this relationship difficult.

I turned and looked to Richard.

Aaron: Richard could you wait in the hall? I need to speak to my boss in private.

Richard’s eyes opened widely as he stood up and walked to the hall, closing the door behind him.

Aaron: Next time you want to talk business, don’t bring the owner of a rival company. If you need somebody to pull your strings then maybe you don’t belong here. Don’t think I haven’t picked up on what’s going on here, Phil. I may not be able to force you to sell me the company or give me my money back, but I can do what’s right for this promotion.

I didn’t allow him any time to respond. I turned and walked out of his office and walked past Richard Eisen.

Richard: Aaron, I—

I interrupted him.

Aaron: Have a good day, Dick.

Richard: Listen—

Aaron: I said have a good day.

I never turned around; I just went into my office and sat down. Things were going to be tough if the owner was trying to keep us down to help out a rival.</td></tr></tbody></table>

I'm still looking for people to PM me questions they might like to ask Aaron Fujita as head booker. I've been wanting to do a Q&A session breaking kayfabe for a while now. So if you have any questions you'd like answered about why a match was booked as it was, whether a certain wrestler might get a push or anything of the sort, PM me your question and the name you want to go by in the post and I'll work it in.

MAW Wrestling will be up tomorrow followed by the card for the next episode of Uprising so stay tuned!

Just wanted to put this note in here for my readers: MAW Wrestling and EVOLVE are not shows I mean to continue storylines with. MAW uses them as simple popularity increasing shows. The aim is to put on the best show possible to that the fan base grows there. So if these shows don't make sense, don't think too much into them :-)

Sorry for getting your hopes up that the show was posted, but I needed to drop in here and give you guys an update. I just got home from a trip to the emergency room. I was helping plan the 9/11 ceremony my fire department is doing when I got a call that my niece had gotten hurt at home. Along with me, two of my sisters, my brother-in-law, my mother and my father who was Fire Chief for 17 years are all on the department so we all rushed home from our respective locations to find my niece sitting on the front steps holding her wrist. She tried to do a cartwheel and landed wrong on her wrist. It was already swollen and purple and our initial diagnosis was a broken hand or wrist with a dislocated thumb. They took her by ambulance to the hospital and we were right behind her. Luckily the x-rays came back negative and it turns out its just a SEVERE sprain. Even though she came by ambulance, they had three people come in right before and right after us by ambulance that were unresponsive. We were last in line. Thank God that those people were saved tonight though. So five hours later, we're home. I'm going to bed and will get the show up tomorrow before I work.

<table width="40%"><tbody><tr><td align="center">The locker room was a fun place to be before the show. Sammy Shark had all the guys gathered around while he was telling some funny road stories. The culmination of his stories was about a trip he and then tag team partner Roger Cage took en route to a NYCW show. Sammy and Roger sprung for their own rooms at a small Motel 6 along the way. The two exchanged their extra keys so they could get into each other’s rooms for whatever reason. Sammy had thought of a great idea for their new tag team finisher late that night and rushed over to Roger’s room to tell him. Roger didn’t answer the knocks promptly like he normally did so, fearing something was wrong, Sammy keyed himself in to check on him. Sammy couldn’t stop laughing as he saw Roger naked in the center of the room wrapping himself in cling wrap. Talk about awkward.

It didn’t surprise me, but this week’s taping didn’t sell out, breaking our streak of three straight Uprising sell-outs. There was a snow storm in the area and though it only dropped four inches, it was the first sizable snowfall of the year and people always freak out.

Dominic Devito & Flying Jimmy Foxx vs. Lassana Makutsi and Cameron Vessey

The opening match was a fairly standard tag team bout. Makutsi and Vessey came out with looks of determination on their faces. Devito carried the All Action Title with him and showed enthusiasm to be partnered up with Jimmy Foxx in this one. The match went about ten minutes and came to a conclusion when Lassana Makutsi was able to hit the African Splash on Jimmy Foxx, following a low blow, and pick up the victory for his team.

Winners: Lassana Makutsi and Cameron Vessey

http://www.clabobby.com/maw/74.jpg

Sage: That’s just cheap! Lassana Makutsi cheated and picked up the victory!

Hazzard: I don’t like it, but he knows he needs to build up some steam heading towards his rematch in two weeks!

http://www.clabobby.com/maw/Hugh%20de%20Aske.jpghttp://www.clabobby.com/maw/vs.jpghttp://www.clabobby.com/maw/Casey%20Valentine.jpg

Hugh de Aske vs. Casey Valentine

The pirate was given the opportunity to impress with this match against Valentine. Casey looked good in the match, but Hugh wasn’t about to go down quietly. The pirate was able to get some offense, but in just over ten minutes Valentine dumped him on his head with a Deep Impact and picked up the victory.

Winner: Casey Valentine

http://www.clabobby.com/maw/79.jpg

Sage: Hugh de Aske put up a good fight, but Casey Valentine was just the better man there!

Hazzard: The man held the Mid Atlantic Title for three and a half years, his skill cannot be questioned.

http://www.clabobby.com/maw/Zimmy%20Bumfhole.jpghttp://www.clabobby.com/maw/Casey%20Valentine.jpg

Angle Featuring: Zimmy Bumfhole and Casey Valentine

As Casey Valentine retreats to the back, Zimmy Bumfhole makes his way out from behind the curtain, dressed for his match. The two of them stop at the top of the entrance way and lock eyes for a moment before Zimmy brings the microphone he carries to his mouth in order to speak.

Zimmy: We put on a hell of a show last week didn’t we Casey? Two of MAW’s greats battling it out to a time limit draw? Well I can’t help but wonder who the better man really is. So what do you say we do it again? In two weeks at Night of Champions? Let’s throw the time limit out the window on this one. Just me and you, there has to be a winner.

Casey’s gaze never leaves Zimmy. He just stares for a moment and then grabs Bumfhole’s hand, bringing the microphone up to his own mouth.

Valentine: Let’s do it. I’ll have no problem kicking your ass on pay per view!

Zimmy retracts his arm and shrugs his shoulders as Casey pushes past him and into the back.

http://www.clabobby.com/maw/69.jpg

Sage: How about that! Valentine and Bumfhole will battle it out again in two week’s time!

http://www.clabobby.com/maw/Zimmy%20Bumfhole.jpghttp://www.clabobby.com/maw/vs.jpghttp://www.clabobby.com/maw/Rob%20Reynolds.jpg

Zimmy Bumfhole vs. Rob Reynolds

After his challenge to Casey Valentine on the stage, Zimmy came into this match with determination. Rob Reynolds looked good in the opening few minutes, but Zimmy eventually took over and began wearing him down. Just shy of the nine minute mark, Zimmy landed the Bumfhole in One and picked up the victory.

Winner: Zimmy Bumfhole

http://www.clabobby.com/maw/69.jpg

Sage: Zimmy picks up the victory! What a way to put an exclamation point on the challenge he made to Casey Valentine.

Hazzard: I don’t know about you, but I cannot wait for that match!

Mid Atlantic Traditional Title

http://www.clabobby.com/maw/Philippe%20LaGrenier.jpghttp://www.clabobby.com/maw/vs.jpghttp://www.clabobby.com/maw/Frankie%20Perez.jpg

Philippe LaGrenier vs. Frankie Perez©

Perez came out for this bout sans the title belt that was still in the possession of James Prudence. Even so, the title was still on the line. Frankie seemed to have his mind elsewhere in the opening stages as LaGrenier was able to take control with a few pokes to the eyes. Frankie Battled back however and took control just past five minutes. He held on, now focused on his opponent at hand and wore down Philippe. Perez locked in the P-Clutch and forced his challenger to submit at the nine minute mark to retain the title.

Winner: Frankie Perez

http://www.clabobby.com/maw/76.jpg

Sage: Frankie Perez retains the Traditional Title!

Hazzard: He may not have the belt, but he’s still got the label of being the Traditional Champion.

Sage: James Prudence still has possession of the belt and nobody can seem to find where he’s hid it!

http://www.clabobby.com/maw/Frankie%20Perez.jpg

Angle Featuring: Frankie Perez

Frankie Perez gets to his feet and asks for a microphone from the ring announcer. He receives one and steps into the middle of the ring. Through labored breathing he speaks.

Perez: I’m not sure what has gotten into James Prudence, but that little bastard has my belt and I will NOT stop until I have it back. I worked my ass off to become the Traditional Champion and I’ll be damned if some punk is going to steal my property. Prudence, wherever the hell you are, I’m coming for you!

The crowd cheers as Frankie drops the microphone and exits the ring, heading to the back. As he does a small “Frankie” chant breaks out from the crowd.

Special Attraction – Elimination Match

http://www.clabobby.com/maw/Aaron%20Fujita.jpghttp://www.clabobby.com/maw/vs.jpghttp://www.clabobby.com/maw/Steven%20Parker.jpghttp://www.clabobby.com/maw/vs.jpghttp://www.clabobby.com/maw/Darryl%20Devine.jpg

Aaron Fujita vs. Steven Parker vs. Darryl Devine

Darryl Devine and Aaron Fujita started the match off with a lot of fast paces offense. Meanwhile, Steven Parker took to the outside, without the fear of being counted out, and let the other two go at it. Devine and Fujita wrestled the opening five minutes with several near falls until finally Fujita landed a huge powerbomb out of the corner. Steven Parker sprang and attacked Fujita from behind. Parker’s intent was to get Fujita out of the ring and focus on only one opponent. It worked and Parker worked over Devine’s back before hitting the Culture Shock on Devine to eliminate him from the match. Fujita came back in, refreshed and really took it to Steven, but Parker was able to hold his ground. As they approached the twelve minute mark, the bout was still evenly matched. Parker attempted the Future Shock, but Fujita wiggled free and was able to plant Parker with a Packaged Piledriver to pick up the victory.

Winner: Aaron Fujita

http://www.clabobby.com/maw/70.jpg

Sage: What a match! Steven Parker tried his damnedest to weasel his way to a win, but Aaron Fujita comes out on top.

Hazzard: As much as I hate to say it, Steven played that thing pretty smart.

http://www.clabobby.com/maw/Aaron%20Andrews.jpghttp://www.clabobby.com/maw/vs.jpghttp://www.clabobby.com/maw/Davis%20Wayne%20Newton.jpg

Aaron Andrews vs. Davis Wayne Newton

Both men came to the ring knowing the kind of momentum that was on the line. The crowd was solidly behind the Mid Atlantic Champion during the ring introductions and nothing changed as they went into the match. Several chants in Aaron’s favor broke out during the match, causing Davis Wayne Newton to seemingly go nuts. The two did a series of technical chain wrestling to open the bout, but it broke down when DWN had enough and went to the eyes with a rake. Scott Styles admonished him, but it didn’t change Newton’s ways. Despite the constant underhanded tactics, Andrews was able to persevere and found himself in position to hit the Ace Driver to pick up the pinfall in just over eighteen minutes.

Winner: Aaron Andrews

http://www.clabobby.com/maw/76.jpg

Sage: The Mid Atlantic Champion picks up a huge victory there!

Hazzard: I can’t imagine Newton will be too happy about the loss. We’ll have to see what he’s up to next week.

Sage: We’re out of time folks! Join us next week for another edition of Uprising!
