Skin Modification Thread

Thought it might be a good idea to have one place where people could look for skin mods for WMMA3.

 

As much as I like the default skin, I always seem to end up tweeking the skin to my liking. For instance:

I changed the default clock fonts to look more like you get on scoreboards in school gyms and sporting events.

Real World Background

 

I haven't even bought the game yet and I've already made a couple of backgrounds lol. I like playing real world MODs so I made a couple of quick alterations to the original backgrounds to make the game more real world MMA.

 

I quickly changed the 3D fighters on the title screen into real fighters. It didn't come out perfect but it's better to see for those of us who'd like the game to have that real world feel.

I quickly turned the Blurcat 'website' background into a Sherdog background. It still needs some color work but it'll do for now.

Thanks for the compliments, glad you like them. I updated my original post in this thread to include a download to easily place the backgrounds into the game. Simply download the file and unzip it to your WMMA3/Skins folder under any name you'd like. This way you can easily jump between my skin with the two modified backgrounds and the original that came with the game by using the 'Change Skin' icon when you first start the game.

 

Or you can go into your WMMA 3 folder, open the 'Skins' folder, then open the 'Default' folder, then the 'Backgrounds' folder. Save the first background (the background with the fighters on it) as, title_screens.jpg Save the second background (the Sherdog background) as, website.jpg This saves the two backgrounds I modified over top of the originals that came with the game. So if you'd like to keep the originals you'll need to rename them before hand or save them to a different folder.

Anyone know if that simple, light blue skin (Blooskin, I think?) is going to be ported for WMMA3? It was my 100% favourite in WMMA2, made playing the game SO much easier on the eyes.
