Really great job here. So much fun to read. You also do a great job with matchmaking. Keep it up!

Seriously, he should be match making somewhere. This is the best dynasty. I say it a lot, but it's not enough. Dying to play the new mod as well.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I know the updates on this dynasty have been pretty spread out lately, but I having really been working hard on my mod. I'm in the home stretch now to get it released and am hoping to have it released in the near future. Once I finally get the mod out, I'll be able to bring my focus back to the dynasty and post updates more frequently.

http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z391/JayT23/th_MaximoBlanco.gif

Maximo Blanco (9-3-1, 1 NC) will be leaving Sengoku to compete in Strikeforce's Lightweight Division.

http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z391/JayT23/th_YuriVillefort-1.gif

Yuri Villefort (8-0) will vacate his Bitetti Combat Welterweight Championship to try his hand at the Strikeforce Welterweight division.

Strikeforce Signs 3 More UFC Vets:

http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z391/JayT23/th_PatBarry.gif

Pat Barry (6-4) was released by the UFC after dropping two straight to Rob Broughton and Cheick Kongo. He will be looking for redemption in the Strikeforce Heavyweight division.

http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z391/JayT23/th_KrzysztofSoszynski.gif

Krzysztof Soszynski (26-12-1) is fresh off a nice win over Dongi Yang and chose to sign with Strikeforce instead of re-signing with the UFC. He will look to make a splash in the Strikeforce Light Heavyweight division.

http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z391/JayT23/th_ChaelSonnen.gif

Chael Sonnen (26-12-1) was upset by Ed Herman his last time out. Strikeforce was able to outbid the UFC for the services of the always colorful, never at a loss for words, Sonnen. He will immediately become a top contender in the Middleweight division.

JayT, say it isn't so. What has become of the Strikeforce?

On temporary hold while I finish my mod. I'm working hard to get it to a point where I feel it's ready to be released. My goal WAS to have it released by August 1st, but that came and went. My goal now is to just get it released sometime in the next 30-45 days. Once it is released I will definitely get back to this dynasty.

Henderson vs. King Mo

October 15, 2011

Prelims:

John Salgado (3-6-1) vs. Xavier Lucas (9-2-1)

Lucas easilty controlled the first round with some nice standup and was relentless with some devastating leg kicks that visibly hurt Salgado. The second round was much of the same as Lucas continued to dominate on the feet. In the third round, Lucas had his way with Salgado and almost seemed to be toying with him. The leg kicks continued and Salgado's leg was bruised and battered and he was limping. A likely 10-8 round.

Xavier Lucas (10-2-1) beat John Salgado (3-7-1) by Unanimous Decision in 5:00 of round 3

Comments: A dominating performance by Lucas, however, against a much lesser opponent.

Scott Lighty (7-2) vs. George Bush (6-3)

The first round was close early on, but then Bush started throwing wild punches and Lighty was able to pick him apart with nice counter punches and kicks to take the round. Bush came out aggressive again in the second round and he missed with a left jab and Lighty countered with a barrage of rights which put Bush down. Lighty kept the pressure on with punch after punch and the referee had no option but to jump in and stop the fight.

Scott Lighty (8-2) beat George Bush (6-4) by TKO in 0:47 of round 2

Comments: A good win to get Lighty back on the right track. Perhaps enough to get him on the main card of a Challengers event.

Jared Rosholt (0-0) vs. Devin Cole (19-9-1)

Rosholt looked uncomfortable early on when he tried to strike with Cole, but as soon as he got the takedown, you could tell he was in his element. He was able to transition to side control and then into the crucifix position. He pounded away on Cole and it was clear to the ref he was not getting out of it, so the fight was stopped.

Jared Rosholt (1-0) beat Devin Cole (19-10-1) by TKO in 4:09 of round 1

Comments: Rosholt looked extremely impressive in his MMA debut against a veteran opponent.

Main Card:

http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z391/JayT23/th_BenSaunders.jpg vs. http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z391/JayT23/th_EvangelistaSantos.gif

Ben Saunders (11-4-2) vs. Evangelista Santos (18-14)

Saunders didn't appear to want anything to do with the standup game in round one and quickly took the fight to the ground. He was able to control the ground game and eventually took "Cyborg's" back. He had the rear naked choke fully sunk in, but Santos was literally saved by the bell. The second round started with a bang as "Cyborg" swung hard with a left and Saunders was able to avoid it and counter with a right cross that put him down hard. Saunders pounced on Santos and rained down punches. The referee could see that Santos was not intelligently defending himself and did the right thing and stopped the fight.

Ben Saunders (12-4-2) beat Evangelista Santos (18-15) by TKO in 1:23 of round 2

Comments: Saunders looked great and needed this victory to get back in the mix.

http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z391/JayT23/th_AlexanderSarnavskiy.jpg vs. http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z391/JayT23/th_BillyEvangelista.gif

Alexander Sarnavskiy (14-0) vs. Billy Evangelista (11-1, 1 NC)

Sarnavskiy looked great in the first round as he controlled the standup game and also landed several nice shots while in the clinch. In the second round, Sarnavskiy charged out and rocked Evangelista. Sarnavskiy was able to capitalize with an easy takedown as Evangelista was stumbling backwards from the punch. Sarnavskiy then transitioned beautifully into an armbar and Evangelista was forced to tap.

Alexander Sarnavskiy (15-0) beat Billy Evangelista (11-2, 1 NC) by Submission (Armbar) in 1:23 of round 2

Comments: Sarnavskiy exceeded all expectations in his Strikeforce debut as Evangelista is no slouch. The Lightweight division should take notice.

http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z391/JayT23/th_BrandonVera.gif vs. http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z391/JayT23/th_GegardMousasi.jpg

Brandon Vera (11-7) vs. Gegard Mousasi (31-4-1)

Vera shot in early and Mousasi pushed him face down to the mat and absolutely unloaded on him until the referee had seen enough.

Gegard Mousasi (32-4-1) beat Brandon Vera (11-8) by TKO in 1:41 of round 1

Comments: Vera's fall from grace continued in this one. Mousasi looked good, but Vera is not the same fighter he once was.

http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z391/JayT23/th_NickDiaz.gif vs. http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z391/JayT23/th_TyronWoodley.jpg

Nick Diaz (24-8, 1 NC) vs. Tyron Woodley (9-0)

The first round was very close. Woodley got an early takedown, but Diaz was able to get back to his feet without taking any damage. Diaz was then able to land some nice strikes. Woodley then ended the round controlling Diaz againt the cage. Diaz started the second round with some nick boxing. Woodley didn't seem to want to strike and used the reminder of the round to control Diaz up against the cage. Diaz didn't take much damage and the crowd was less than pleased with Woodley's offense, or lack there of. The third round again saw Woodley content to grapple Diaz up against the cage and land little strikes here and there. The crowd let him hear their displeasure.

Tyron Woodley (10-0) beat Nick Diaz (24-9, 1 NC) by Unanimous Decision in 5:00 of round 3

Comments: Woodley is almost certainly in line for a title shot now with a victory over the former champ.

Light Heavyweight Championship:

http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z391/JayT23/DanHenderson.jpg vs. http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z391/JayT23/MuhammedLawal.gif

Dan Henderson © (28-8) vs. Muhammed Lawal (8-1)

"King Mo" was able to get and easy takedown early in the first round, but it didn't seem like Henderson put up much of a fight. Lawal was unable to pass the guard of Henderson and then "Hendo" used a kimura to sweep "King Mo" and roll him over onto his back. Henderson then transitioned nicely into side control where he locked on a tight arm triangle. Lawal fought hard, but eventually tapped out before being choked unconscious.

Dan Henderson © (29-8) beat Muhammed Lawal (8-2) by Submission (Arm Triangle) in 2:49 of round 1

Comments: A second straight title defense for Henderson and an impressive submission over the former champ. When asked what was next for him, he said that Roger Gracie and Marcos Rogério de Lima are some nice prospects in the Light Heavyweight Division. He also said that he wouldn't mind dropping down to Middleweight or somewhere in between and fighting the current Middleweight Champion, "Jacare."

Fight of the Night: Saunders vs, Santos

KO of the Night: Mousasi

Submission of the Night: Henderson

Strikeforce - Undefeated Announced:

The title of the event says it all. The four fighters in the main and co-main events have a combined ZERO losses.

http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z391/JayT23/MarcosRogeriodeLima-1.gif vs. http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z391/JayT23/RogerGracie.jpg

Light Heavyweight, Marcos Rogério de Lima (10-0) vs. Roger Gracie (5-0):

Two of the brightest Light Heavyweight prospects in the sport will meet in this one. Both men have been unstoppable thus far in Strikeforce. "Pezao" easily defeated Antwain Britt and then absolutely dismantled Sokoudjou. Gracie on the other hand has won all of his Strikeforce matches via submission (Randleman, Prangley, & Lighty). The winner of this match has been guaranteed by Scott Coker that they will be the #1 contender for the Light Heavyweight Championship.

http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z391/JayT23/th_YancyMedeiros.gif vs. http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z391/JayT23/th_BrunoSantos.gif

Middleweight, Yancy Medeiros (11-0) vs. Bruno Santos (9-0):

This matchup, like the main event, also has title implications written all over it. The winner of this match will likely be in line right behind "Mayhem" Miller in the pecking order for a title shot. Medeiros is 4-0 in Strikeforce and only one of those fights has gone the distance. His last time out he knocked out a very tough Luke Rockhold in the first round. Santos really hasn't made a huge impact in Strikeforce yet; although he knocked Benji Radach out cold in his debut. He made his name fighting in Brazil, but would definitely like to show the American fans he is legit. Look for Medeiros to come out swinging and for Santos to try and take the fight to the ground early and often.

http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z391/JayT23/th_JamieVarner.jpg vs. http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z391/JayT23/th_JoshThomson.gif

Lightweight, Jamie Varner (17-5-1, 2 NC) vs. Josh Thomson (20-4, 1 NC):

Varner and Thomson both had big wins on the same card back in July against Justin Wilcox and Jorge Masvidal respectively. Varner called out the winner of the Thomson/Masvidal fight just before it took place in his post fight interview. Thomson was happy to oblige and here we are with the matchup. Both of these two would love to get back on top of the Lightweight Division as they have both tasted what it feels like to be the best in the past, with Thomson the former Strikeforce Champion and Varner the former WEC Champion. A win here would definitely open some eyes and move them into the top five in the division within Strikeforce.

http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z391/JayT23/th_BibianoFernandes.jpg vs. http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z391/JayT23/th_GesiasCalvancante.jpg

Lightweight, Bibiano Fernandes (10-3) vs. Gesias Cavalcante (17-4-1, 1 NC):

Although these two are both Brazilian, they have made names for themselves fighting with great success in Japan. Fernandes will be moving up in weight to try and make a run at the Lightweight Title. He comes over from DREAM where he previously held the Featherweight Championship. "JZ" is riding a nice two fight win streak defeating Chris Horodecki in Strikeforce back in April and Caol Uno in DREAM in August.

http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z391/JayT23/th_RaySefo-1.gif vs. http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z391/JayT23/th_LavarJohnson.gif

Heavyweight, Ray Sefo (3-0) vs. Lavar Johnson (16-4):

Sefo has looked good so far in his "young" career, but one has got to wonder how much the 40 year old kickboxer has left in the tank. He's 2-0 in Strikeforce with victories over Kevin Jordan and Valentijn Overeem. Johnson is a big step up in competition from those two, but the good news is Johnson will stand and bang which is exactly what Sefo wants. Johnson had his 8 fight win streak snapped his last time out when he was submitted by the crafty submission specialist, Fabricio Werdum. Johnson has said that he has already put that loss behind him and he is ready to start a new streak. He is thrilled to fight Sefo because he knows he will stand and trade with him.

Prelims:

Lightweight, Mitsuhiro Ishida (20-7-1) vs. David Douglas (7-2)

Light Heavyweight, Lorenz Larkin (10-1) vs. Rhadi Ferguson (5-0)

Welterweight, Kyle Pimental (8-0) vs. Delson Heleno (20-6)

Quick Pick:

Marcos Rogério de Lima vs. Roger Gracie

Yancy Medeiros vs. Bruno Santos

Jamie Varner vs. Josh Thomson

Bibiano Fernandes vs. Gesias Cavalcante

Ray Sefo vs. Lavar Johnson

Mitsuhiro Ishida vs. David Douglas

Lorenz Larkin vs. Rhadi Ferguson

Strikeforce Challengers 20 Announced:

http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z391/JayT23/MikeKyle.gif vs. http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z391/JayT23/OvinceStPreux.gif

Light Heavyweight, Mike Kyle (18-10-1, 1 NC) vs. Ovince St. Preux (10-5):

Mike Kyle has fallen down the rankings lately losing 3 straight. He was TKOed by "Bigfoot" Silva in a Heavyweight matchup, KOed by Gegard Mousasi, and most recently submitted by Tony Lopez in KOTC to lose the KOTC Light Heavyweight Championship. This fight could decide whether or not he keeps his job with Strikeforce. OSP saw his meteoric rise hit a speed bump his last time out when he lost a decision to the crafty veteran, "Babalu" Sobral. He too will be looking to get on the right track here. Given both fighters desparately need a win, we should be in for fireworks in this main event.

http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z391/JayT23/th_GregorGracie.gif vs. http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z391/JayT23/th_JesseFinney-1.gif

Welterweight, Gregor Gracie (5-1) vs. Jesse Finney (8-1):

This is the classic grappler versus striker matchup. Gracie is riding a 3 fight win streak and won his Strikeforce debut, choking out Nathan Coy. He will obviously look to take this fight to the ground and do the same to Finney. Finney is riding a 4 fight win streak of his own and has been stellar in Strikeforce thus far, going 4-0. His last two victories were over tough opponents in Roger Bowling and Shamar Bailey. He will need to do whatever it takes to keep this one standing and utilize his heavy hands.

http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z391/JayT23/th_DaveBatista-1.gif vs. http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z391/JayT23/th_JasonRiley.jpg

Heavyweight, Dave Bautista (1-1) vs. Jason Riley (10-6):

The 42 year old, former WWE Champion hasn't been worth all the hype to date. He's been TKOed by Brandon Cash and won a lackluster decision against John Devine. Here we are again with Strikeforce trying their hardest to give him someone that he can go out and destroy and finally build some hype, but will he deliver? Even though Riley knocked out a tough Chad Griggs his last time out, no one seems to care. Everyone wants him to be the sacrificial lamb he's been brought into be, other than Riley himself of course. He will go out there and play the part of the underdog and maybe give Bautista a big, fat dose of reality.

http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z391/JayT23/th_AttilaVegh.gif vs. http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z391/JayT23/th_RonHumphrey.jpg

Light Heavyweight, Attila Vegh (24-4-2) vs. Ron Humphrey (8-3):

Strikeforce has brought in a relative unknown Vegh as a last minute replacement opponent for Humphrey. The Slovakian comes over from Europe with a 4 fight win streak and a very balanced game with 9 (T)KO, 10 submission, and 5 decision victories. The extremely heavy handed "Abongo" welcomed Robert Drysdale to Strikeforce back in May by knocking him out in just under two minutes. The gameplan for Humphrey is likely no secret: come out and swing. This could be a sleeper for fight of the night.

Prelims:

Lightweight, Joe Ellenberger (10-2) vs. Anthony Leone (8-4)

Lightweight, Lyle Beerbohm (16-2) vs. Ousmane Thomas Diagne (3-2)

Heavyweight, Wes Shivers (9-1) vs. Brandon Cash (7-3)

Quick Pick:

Mike Kyle vs. Ovince St. Preux

Gregor Gracie vs. Jesse Finney

Dave Bautista vs. Jason Riley

Attila Vegh vs. Ron Humphrey

Joe Ellenberger vs. Anthony Leone

Lyle Beerbohm vs. Ousmane Thomas Diagne

Wes Shivers vs. Brandon Cash

Undefeated

October 29, 2011

Prelims:

Kyle Pimental (8-0) vs. Delson Heleno (20-6)

Pimental was able to get an early takedown in round one, but Heleno was able to hold him in guard and stall and get the referee to stand them back up. The remainder of the round was then controlled by Heleno in the clinch. The second round was contested on the feet and was very close, but it appeared Pimental had the slight edge. The two fighters grappled for control and exchanged punches up against the cage for the majority of the third round. Pimental scored with a huge takedown in the last minute which may have stole the round and the fight.

Kyle Pimental (9-0) beat Delson Heleno (20-7) by Unanimous Decision in 5:00 of round 3

Comments: Pimental is a nice prospect in the Welterweight Division and he started off Undefeated by staying undefeated.

Lorenz Larkin (10-1) vs. Rhadi Ferguson (5-0)

A very broing round to begin this one. Larkin was unable to find his range and couldn't land anything. Ferguson managed to get a late takedown, but then just laid on Larkin until the bell. Ferguson was able to show off his judo skills by getting a nice trip takedown in the second round, but once again, he was unable to capitalize in the dominant position. Larkin finally woke up in the third round and started putting some nice combos together, but it was too little too late.

Rhadi Ferguson (6-0) beat Lorenz Larkin (10-2) by Unanimous Decision in 5:00 of round 3

Comments: Ferguson kept the undefeated theme going by winning his third straight in Strikeforce.

Mitsuhiro Ishida (20-7-1) vs. David Douglas (7-2)

Ishida scored with a nice single leg early. He was able to transition fairly easily into side control and locked on a tight arm triangle. Douglas looked like he was on the brink of tapping, but he managed to break free. Ishida then eventually mounted Douglas and locked on an armbar, this time getting the tap out.

Mitsuhiro Ishida (21-7-1) beat David Douglas (7-3) by Submission (Armbar) in 4:16 of round 1

Comments: This was Ishida's first victory in Strikeforce since 2008 and it came against Douglas who was on a hot streak of late. This will at least earn Ishida another fight.

Main Card:

http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z391/JayT23/th_RaySefo-1.gif vs. http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z391/JayT23/th_LavarJohnson.gif

Ray Sefo (3-0) vs. Lavar Johnson (16-4)

There was a lot more of a feeling out process in the first round than was expected from these two. Sefo managed to get the best of the exchanges though. Both fighters came out throwing bombs in the second round, but none of them landed. The majority of the round was spent in the clinch dirty boxing. When they broke free, Sefo went to work on Johnson's legs with the low kicks. A very close second round. Johnson came out in the third and went for broke. He missed with a wild punch and Sefo put his lights out with a brutal head kick.

Ray Sefo (4-0) beat Lavar Johnson (16-5) by KO in 1:12 of round 3

Comments: The kickboxer did what he does best, he kicked his way to a victory. He will now position himself nicely in the Heavyweight rankings.

http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z391/JayT23/th_BibianoFernandes.jpg vs. http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z391/JayT23/th_GesiasCalvancante.jpg

Bibiano Fernandes (10-3) vs. Gesias Cavalcante (17-4-1, 1 NC)

Both fighters came out aggressive in the opening round. Fernandes was able to check a low kick and then drop "JZ" with a huge right hand. He seized this golden opportunity and quickly pounced looking for the finish. "JZ" was getting pounded and the referee had seen enough and stepped in and stopped the fight.

Bibiano Fernandes (11-3) beat Gesias Cavalcante (17-5-1, 1 NC) by TKO in 2:33 of round 1

Comments: A spectacular debut for Fernandes and a strong argument for a title shot. He thought so too as he called out Lightweight Champ, Gilbert Melendez afterwards.

http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z391/JayT23/th_JamieVarner.jpg vs. http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z391/JayT23/th_JoshThomson.gif

Jamie Varner (17-5-1, 2 NC) vs. Josh Thomson (20-4, 1 NC)

The first round was all wrestling and grappling. Neither man could get the takedown though and the crowd was audibly displeased with the round. Thomson was able to secure the takedown in round two. Varner was the busier man on the bottom though, going for submission after submission. Again, the crowd was less than pleased with the round. Varner caught a low kick and got a takedown of his own in the third round. He then managed to get into side control. He eventually locked on an armbar that looked tight, but Thomson was able to weather the storm and scamble out of it. He gave up his back, but Varner could not do anything with it as there was only seconds left in the round.

Jamie Varner (18-5-1, 2 NC) beat Josh Thomson (20-5, 1 NC) by Split Decision in 5:00 of round 3

Comments: The third round was definitely the deciding factor in giving Varner the decision. This was a huge win over the former Champ and should catapult Varner into the top 5 in the rankings within Strikeforce.

http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z391/JayT23/th_YancyMedeiros.gif vs. http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z391/JayT23/th_BrunoSantos.gif

Yancy Medeiros (11-0) vs. Bruno Santos (9-0)

Medeiros made the mistake of throwing a leg kick and Santos caught it and got the takedown. Santos was able to transition smoothly from guard, to side control, and into mount. He then locked on an armbar and Medeiros was forced to tap.

Bruno Santos (10-0) beat Yancy Medeiros (11-1) by Submission (Armbar) in 2:42 of round 1

Comments: I think the young Brazilian proved he is legit. If current Middleweight Champion, "Jacare" Souza is able to successfully defend his title against "Mayhem" Miller, then it appears we are headed for an all Brazilian Middleweight Title fight.

http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z391/JayT23/MarcosRogeriodeLima-1.gif vs. http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z391/JayT23/RogerGracie.jpg

Marcos Rogério de Lima (10-0) vs. Roger Gracie (5-0)

"Pezao" was picking Gracie apart early on in the first round and even rocked him and one point. He got sloppy though and Gracie was able to duck under a wild punch and get the takedown. Gracie transitioned from submission to submission until he finally locked on a nasty looking kimura and forced the tap.

Roger Gracie (6-0) beat Marcos Rogério de Lima (10-1) by Submission (Kimura) in 4:14 of round 1

Comments: Gracie is now in line for a title shot against Dan Henderson. "Hendo" came into the cage afterwards for a face off with Gracie to pump up the fans.

News/Notes:

Fight of the Night: Gracie vs. Rogério de Lima

KO if the Night: Sefo

Submission of the Night: Santos
