We wish both men all the best in their new positions with Ring of Honor. This will surely be a period of growth and prosperity for Ring Of Honor. Firstly, sorry for the lack of a backstory, but this isn’t really going to be that sort of diary where the avatar plays a huge part. Secondly, I do wish to say that I find it quite difficult to fully represent the ROH style in some elements of a diary. The first is primarily that ROH does not tend to re-use show names outside of big events, and this is something which will not be fully feasible in this diary, so look for the WWE style (kinda) of sticking with event names rather than changing every year. Also whilst I do follow ROH as much as possible, I’m pretty much using the shows in the months that are set in the mod (MCD’s awesome data), although if I do catch an error I will fix it up. There may also not be quite as many events a year as ROH normally holds, but this will hopefully be leading to something. I'm sure there will probably be other stuff, but it'll work itself out. Roderick has shared several battles with Edwards tag team partner Davey Richards and has so far come out on top, but Edwards is always on the top of his game and could well become the new ROH World Champion so long as he can avoid interference from Strong’s House of Truth stable mates. Haas & Benjamin vs All Night Express These two teams are almost polar opposites, Haas and Benjamin have had long and storied careers, wrestling all over the world and are looking to cement their position here in ROH. Meanwhile, the All Night Express, Rhett Titus and Kenny King have recently broken through and look like serious contenders for the ROH Tag Team Titles. The winner of this match will surely gain a future shot at the ROH Tag titles, but who will gain victory in this battle? Davey Richards vs Chris Hero This match has classic written all over it, two men at their peak, just looking to beat the other. Davey Richards is seeking redemption for his loss to Roderick Strong at Final Battle and this is the perfect opportunity to put himself back into title contention. Meanwhile, The Young Knockout Kid, Chris Hero may be one half of the ROH Tag champs, but surely the thought of singles gold has never left his mind and a victory over Davey Richards would no doubt put him firmly in the title hunt. Colt Cabana vs Christopher Daniels This match will be for the ROH Television title and could well prove Daniels most unique challenge thus far. Both Daniels and Cabana have had long and storied careers here in ROH and have crossed paths on several occasions, but never with a singles title on the line, both have wildly varying styles and can utilise their differences to overwhelm the other, the story may well be wheter Cabana’s joking may cost him the chance at gold or if he can use it to bamboozle Daniels into defeat. Kenny Omega vs ??? Kenny Omega has had great success in Japan in the last twelve months and his return to ROH has been much heralded, however he will face a big challenge at Validation, as his opponent is a mystery to all but ROH officials, will Omega be able to overcome this disadvantage to walk away with a victory? Mike Bennett vs Andy Ridge Mike Bennett has been on top form lately, catching the eye of many ROH veterans, Christopher Daniels and Steve Corino to name but a few and he must surely be considered favourite for this match, however Ridge has been plying his trade all over North America, will the skills learnt on this travels give Ridge what he needs to upset Bennett? 4CS: Claudio vs Generico vs Kyle O’Reilly vs Delirious This four corner survival match puts some premier talents here in ROH in action. El Generico has come of a great 2010 where he finally sent his former best friend, Kevin Steen from ROH. Claudio Castagnoli is one half of the ROH Tag champions and has been dispatching all challengers. Kyle O’Reilly has been fighting his way up the ranks in ROH and this could be the breakout match for O’Reilly. The final competitor is a return to ROH’s active roster for Delirious, whose unorthodox style could prove the X factor in this match. Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team vs All Night Express WGTT MARK RIGHT HERE! Chris Hero vs Davey Richards I feel Hero will win, but those kicks are brutal. ROH Television Title: Christopher Daniels © vs Colt Cabana Don't think Daniels will be dropping his new title too soon. Kenny Omega vs ??? I don't think a Hadouken will save Omega from ??? Mike Bennett vs Andy Ridge I don't think I've ever seen Andy "Right Leg" Ridge win a match.. Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team vs All Night Express -Well WGTT have a shot at KoW coming up in real life. Not sure if that will be kept here, but havent got much else to base a prediction on. Chris Hero vs Davey Richards -Davey has to go after Strong, and has to look strong to do so. ROH Television Title: Christopher Daniels © vs Colt Cabana -Whats the status of the TV show in regards to this diary? If its gone (like real life) I would like to see the title re-named. Hell, bring back the Pure title in its place. Kenny Omega vs ??? -Again, based on real life Kenny isnt around enough to deserve a win over anyone but a jobber, however if you have Kenny full time this could easily go the different way.
