The leader of the New Nexus and the new WWE Champion, CM Punk, begins the show by coming to the ring with his WWE Championship. Punk says that after he beat The Miz last night at Wrestlemania to become the new WWE Champion the New Nexus now hold two Championships as David Otunga and Michael McGuillicutty successfully retained their WWE Tag Team Championships against Kane and the Big Show last night as well. Punk says that he will retain the title tonight in the main event as The Miz has his contractually obligated rematch for the title. John Cena then comes to the ring and says that even though he lost the inter-promotional match to SmackDown!’s Undertaker last night he now wants to focus on regaining the WWE Championship that he lost at the Elimination Chamber Pay-Per-View. The Anonymous General Manager sends an email to the arena which Michael Cole reads that states that John Cena will challenge for the WWE Championship, against either Punk or Miz, at the upcoming Extreme Rules Pay-Per-View. The Anonymous General Manager then says that the stipulation in which that match takes place will be announced following the WWE Championship main event when The Miz challenges CM Punk for the WWE Championship he lost last night.

Rating: B+

Daniel Bryan comes to the ring and says that even though he lost his United States Championship to Primo last night at Wrestlemania he still feels that he is the greatest master of submissions that the WWE has to offer. Bryan says that he will soon set his sights on the WWE Championship, but first wants to prove that nobody is a better submission specialist than him and issues an open challenge for anybody from the RAW roster to face him in a Submission match at Extreme Rules.

Rating: C+

Michael McGuillicutty, a member of the New Nexus, and one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, comes to the ring and says that after he and David Otunga successfully retained their WWE Tag Team titles against Kane and the Big Show last night at Wrestlemania Kane and Big Show should not be granted anymore title matches.

David Otunga, the other half of the WWE Tag Team Champions then joins Nexus stable-mate and Tag Team Championship partner Michael McGuillicutty in the ring. Otunga agrees that Kane and Big Show should not be granted anymore title matches after they lost their rematch to Otunga and McGuillicutty last night at Wrestlemania. The Anonymous General Manager then sends an email to Michael Cole which announces that at Extreme Rules Kane and the Big Show of SmackDown! will receive their last shot at the WWE Tag Team Championships as they challenge Otunga and McGuillicutty in a Tag Team Dog Collar match.

Rating: B+

R-Truth versus William Regal

In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, William Regal defeated R-Truth in 7:24 by pinfall with a Running Knee.

Match Rating: B-

The former WWE Champion, The Miz, comes to the ring. Miz says that even though he lost his WWE Championship to CM Punk last night at Wrestlemania he is confident that he will win the title back in tonight’s main event as he has his contractually obligated rematch for the title. Miz then says that he will go on to successfully defend the title at Extreme Rules against John Cena, no matter what stipulation the match takes place in.

Rating: B+

Natalya comes to the ring and says that she is disappointed to have lost her WWE Divas Championship last night at Wrestlemania in the Triple Threat match with Kelly Kelly and Maryse, but feels that Kelly will make a good Divas Champion for a few weeks until Natalya wins it back at Extreme Rules. Natalya announces that at Extreme Rules Kelly Kelly will defend her newly won Divas title in a Four-Way match involving Kelly, Natalya, Maryse and a Diva from SmackDown! to be announced this Friday. Brie Bella then comes to the ring and distracts Natalya for long enough to Maryse to rush to the ring and strike Natalya with a DDT, leaving her unconscious on the mat.

Rating: C-

John Morrison comes to the ring and says that after he defeated Drew McIntyre of SmackDown! in their inter-promotional match at Wrestlemania he now has his sights set on Primo’s newly won United States Championship. Daniel Bryan, the former United States Champion, then comes to the ring and says that he should be the next in line to challenge for the title, but has his sights set on bigger things and has already set up his open challenge for a submission match at Extreme Rules, so supports Morrison in his quest for the United States title. The Champion, Primo, then comes to the ring and says that if Morrison wants a title shot then he can have one at Extreme Rules, and he’ll even let Morrison decide the stipulation, as he is that confident that he will retain his US title. Morrison announces that he will challenge for the United States Championship at Extreme Rules in a Falls Count Anywhere match. William Regal then comes to the ring following his victory over R-Truth earlier tonight. Regal addresses Daniel Bryan and says that last night at Wrestlemania he defeated SmackDown!’s Rey Mysterio in their inter-promotional match and earlier tonight he convincingly defeated R-Truth. Following the conclusion of the main event Justin Gabriel, Heath Slater and Husky Harris of the New Nexus join CM Punk, their leader; in the ring and the foursome begin attacking The Miz. Daniel Bryan then rushes to the ring in aid of his former mentor, surprisingly, and hits Husky Harris with a big kick to the skull. However the numbers game is still too much for Bryan and Miz as they are beat down. John Cena then rushes to the ring to aid Miz and Bryan but he too is attacked by the New Nexus. As The New Nexus beat down a fallen Miz, Bryan and Cena a familiar music hits the arena, and Triple H shockingly makes his return to RAW after almost an entire year on the sidelines. Triple H clotheslines Husky Harris, Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel out of the ring as Punk quickly leaves the ring of his own accord. Triple H then helps Miz, Bryan and Cena to their feet. The Anonymous General Manager then sends an email to Michael Cole revealing that at Extreme Rules John Cena will challenge CM Punk for the WWE Championship in a Hell in a Cell match. RAW goes off the air with Cena staring down CM Punk on the outside of the ring with the returning Triple H ominously looking on in the background.

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Superstars:

God versus Adam Pearce

Tonight’s edition of WWE Superstars will see the debut of SmackDown!’s newest Superstar as Adam Pearce faces God. God was victorious in the pre-show 30 man battle royal at Wrestlemania and will be looking to carry that momentum forward tonight on Superstars against Adam Pearce, making his WWE debut. Natalya versus Brie Bella

Natalya lost her WWE Divas Championship Sunday at Wrestlemania in a Triple Threat match also involving Maryse and Kelly Kelly, who walked away with the gold. Finlay will certainly be ready for any challenge he may face at Extreme Rules.

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown!:

World Champion Jack Swagger & Alberto Del Rio vs. Edge & Christian

Sunday at Wrestlemania Jack Swagger successfully defended his World title in the main event against Randy Orton. Tonight on SmackDown! Swagger will team with Alberto Del Rio in the main event to face the legendary tag team Edge and Christian. Tonight we will also learn Jack Swagger’s challenger (or challengers) for the World Championship at Extreme Rules as well as learn the stipulation for that all-important Championship match. Christian managed to beat Alberto Del Rio at Wrestlemania and is undefeated since February when he lost to Dolph Ziggler.

Kofi Kingston versus Wade Barrett

At Wrestlemania on Sunday Wade Barrett lost the Intercontinental Championship to Ezekiel Jackson in a Triple Threat match also involving Dolph Ziggler. Tonight he looks to bounce back as he faces Kofi Kingston in singles action. Kofi Kingston was not lucky enough to compete at Wrestlemania and would love to get a victory over Barrett to potentially propel himself back into the Intercontinental Championship picture. Kingston’s last match on SmackDown! was three weeks ago in a losing effort against the aristocratic Alberto Del Rio, so Kingston needs a good performance here.

Rey Mysterio versus Ur Hero

Rey Mysterio lost his inter-promotional match at Wrestlemania on Sunday to RAW’s William Regal and will also be looking to get a victory under his belt as he faces SmackDown! newcomer Ur Hero. Ur Hero had his first match in the WWE last week on SmackDown! as he faced Edge, but came out on the losing side of things. Tonight Ur Hero will be looking to improve on last week’s performance and get a victory over the former World Champion Rey Mysterio, who has also been on a losing streak as of late.

Kaitlyn and Rosa Mendes versus Layla and Michelle McCool

With Kelly Kelly the new WWE Divas Champion all four of these Divas will be looking to impress in the hope of getting a title shot as Kaitlyn and Rosa Mendes will face LayCool in tag team action tonight on SmackDown! Kaitlyn in particular has been impressive as of late and managed to defeat Michelle McCool in singles action last week on SmackDown! In fact, since February the rookie Kaitlyn has defeated Michelle McCool three times on SmackDown! and managed to also get a singles victory over Layla on SmackDown! in February.

We learned last night on WWE Superstars that The Undertaker will face Finlay at Extreme Rules. Tonight on SmackDown! both The Undertaker and Finlay will be present and The Undertaker will officially announce the stipulation of their match. Knowing Undertaker, the match will be a violent one. Finlay perhaps has an advantage against Undertaker going into their match at Extreme Rules as Finlay did not take part in a gruelling match at Wrestlemania on Sunday, whereas The Undertaker defeated RAW’s John Cena in their inter-promotional match.

Tonight on SmackDown! will also see the revealing of the new Number One Contender for the Intercontinental Championship currently held by Ezekiel Jackson will be and who will challenge for the title at Extreme Rules as well as the stipulation of that match.

We also know that Extreme Rules new Divas Champion Kelly Kelly will defend her title in a four-way match against Maryse, former Champion Natalya and a fourth SmackDown! Diva to be revealed tonight. Perhaps the fourth challenger will be one of those involved in tonight’s Divas tag team match? All will be revealed.

Tonight on SmackDown! we will also hear from both Kane and the Big Show as they look to their final shot at the WWE Tag Team Championships at Extreme Rules as they will challenge David Otunga and Michael McGuillicutty of the New Nexus in a Tag Team Dog Collar match.

Alberto Del Rio then joins Jack Swagger in the ring and announces that at Extreme Rules Jack Swagger will defend his World title in a Triple Threat match against both Alberto Del Rio and Christian. Rating: C-

Kane comes to the ring and says that he is disappointed that he and Big Show failed to win the WWE Tag Team Championships match from David Otunga and Michael McGuillicutty of the New Nexus at Wrestlemania, but is confident that he and Show will win the titles back in their final title opportunity at Extreme Rules when they challenge Otunga and McGuillicutty for the belts in a Tag Team Dog Collar match. “Dashing” Cody Rhodes then rushes to the ring and strikes Kane in the skull with the microphone. Rhodes then says that it is a travesty that he was not on the card at Wrestlemania, and finds it unfair that Kane and Big Show have another opportunity for the Tag Team Championships at Extreme Rules, whereas Cody will likely be left off of the card again.

Rating: B-

Big Show then rushes to the ring in aid of his tag team partner Kane and “Dashing” Cody Rhodes” quickly flees the ring and heads to the back. The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Monday Night RAW:

Non-Title: WWE Champion CM Punk versus John Morrison

Tonight’s RAW main event sees the WWE Champion and leader of the New Nexus CM Punk take on the Number One Contender for the United States Championship in non-title action. At Extreme Rules CM Punk will defend his WWE Championship against John Cena in a Hell in a Cell match, tonight is good preparation for that.

Santino Marella versus Alex Riley

The Miz has recently relieved Alex Riley of his personal services contract, and Riley’s first match without The Miz as his employer last week against David Hart Smith saw him gain victory. Tonight he faces Santino Marella, a tougher threat. However, Santino has not won a match on television since February.

The Miz versus Ted DiBiase

Last week The Miz lost his contractually obligated rematch against CM Punk for the WWE Championship. Now that The Miz has to work his way up the ladder again, he begins this task tonight on RAW as he faces Ted DiBiase. DiBiase has not won a match on RAW since March when he defeated David Hart Smith.

Mark Henry versus Sheamus

Mark Henry and Sheamus faced off last week on RAW with Henry getting the all-important victory. Tonight on RAW they have a rematch from last week, and Sheamus will be looking to get revenge on Henry after the loss last week. Sheamus also last won a match on RAW in March when he defeated Vladimir Kozlov.

R-Truth versus Justin Gabriel

R-Truth takes on New Nexus member Justin Gabriel. R-Truth faced William Regal last week on RAW in a losing effort, so will be looking to get back on track tonight as he faces the high-flying South African Superstar Justin Gabriel. Justin Gabriel has been on a roll as of late, not losing a singles match since February.

Gail Kim versus Alicia Fox

In another rematch from last week’s show, Gail Kim will try to avenge her loss to Alicia Fox last week as she faces her again. Another win for Fox tonight could see her become a future contender for the WWE Divas Championship, meanwhile. Before last week, Gail Kim had not lost a singles match since January.

Also tonight on RAW we will hear from both WWE Champion and New Nexus leader CM Punk as well as John Cena as they head into their Hell in a Cell match for the WWE Championship at Extreme Rules. Will we also see Triple H tonight, who made his triumphant return following last week’s main event?

We will also hear from both Daniel Bryan and William Regal tonight as they prepare for their Submission match that they will have at Extreme Rules. Both men were confident last week; will that confidence remain after tonight? Both men certainly feel that they are prolific submission specialists, but only won can win at Extreme Rules.

The WWE Tag Team Champions, David Otunga and Michael McGuillicutty of the New Nexus will also be on RAW to discuss their upcoming WWE Tag Team Championship defence against Kane and Big Show at Extreme Rules in a Tag Team Dog Collar match.

The United States Champion Primo will also be on RAW tonight to watch his opponent and Number One Contender for the WWE United States Championship in a Falls Count Anywhere match at Extreme Rules John Morrison as Morrison faces WWE Champion CM Punk in a non-title bout in tonight’s RAW main event.

At Extreme Rules we now know that Kelly Kelly will defend the WWE Divas Championship in a four-way match against Natalya, Maryse and Beth Phoenix from SmackDown! Both Maryse and Natalya will be on RAW tonight, and Natalya may want revenge on Maryse after she attacked her last week following Brie’s distraction.

Speaking of Divas, Eve will be on RAW tonight and promises to make an important announcement regarding her future on RAW. What will Eve have to say and how will this effect her good friend and current WWE Divas Champion Kelly Kelly as she heads into her title defence at Extreme Rules?

Quick Picks:

Santino Marella versus Alex Riley

The Miz versus Ted DiBiase
