The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Superstars:

God versus Jack Swagger

Last week on WWE Superstars Swagger faced God and ended up on the losing end of things. Tonight Swagger faces God again, hoping for a victory this time to send him back into World Championship contention after losing the title at Extreme Rules. Since losing the World Heavyweight Championship at Extreme Rules to Alberto Del Rio in the Triple Threat match also involving Christian Swagger has failed to win. God and Swagger were also both involved in an Elimination Chamber match. God has not lost on television since the star of April on Superstars in a loss to Adam Pearce. Last week on SmackDown! God told Swagger he deserved a title shot before him. Swagger certainly wants another shot at the World Heavyweight Championship, but may have to win tonight against God to even be close to another chance to hold it.

Daniel Bryan versus WWE Tag Team Champion Michael McGuillicutty

At Over the Limit Daniel Bryan will face Primo whilst Michael McGuillicutty and David Otunga will defend their WWE Tag Team Championships against Evan Bourne and Kofi Kingston, but who will come out on top tonight on Superstars? This Monday Night on RAW Daniel Bryan faced New Nexus Leader and WWE Champion CM Punk in a non-title main event bout, how will he fare against McGuillicutty? These two met three weeks ago on Superstars, with Bryan getting the victory. They also met once on Superstars in February, with McGuillicutty getting the win then. Before this week’s RAW Bryan had not lost a match since losing at Wrestlemania. Michael McGuillicutty of the New Nexus lost to Evan Bourne last week on WWE Superstars and will be hoping to an improved performance tonight against Bryan.

Also tonight on WWE Superstars we will recap the RAW main event as WWE Champion CM Punk took on Daniel Bryan in a non-title bout as well as preview Punk’s upcoming title defence against US Champion John Morrison at Over the Limit. We will also learn the main event of the upcoming edition of Monday Night RAW, in a match involving both WWE Champion CM Punk and challenger John Morrison. How did the Straight-Edge Saviour and New Nexus Leader Punk fare on Monday? CM Punk has held the WWE Championship since defeating Miz at Wrestlemania. Since then he has gone on to make two title defences, against Miz and John Cena. Punk’s defence against Morrison will be his third title defence, but he is likely very confident going into it following his Hell in a Cell match victory over John Cena.

We will also learn World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio’s opponent tomorrow night on SmackDown! as well as preview tomorrow night’s show, this includes the return of a former World Champion not seen since Wrestlemania. Will this returning Superstar be put straight into the Championship picture by General Manager Theodore Long? We’ll find out this and more tomorrow on SmackDown! Alberto Del Rio defended his title successfully last week on SmackDown! Alberto Del Rio won the World title in a Triple Threat match at Extreme Rules. The other two involved in the Triple Threat match were former Champion Jack Swagger and Christian, who has yet to hold a World Heavyweight Championship in his career. Will the returning Superstar target Del Rio straight away or may he have revenge in mind?

Tonight on Superstars we will also feature a video preview of “Dashing” Cody Rhodes’ upcoming Championship match at Over the Limit as he is due to face Intercontinental Champion Ezekiel Jackson for the Intercontinental title. Rhodes defeated Kofi Kingston at Extreme Rules to earn the chance to challenge for the Intercontinental title in what will be Ezekiel Jackson’s second title defence. Ezekiel Jackson successfully defended his title against Dolph Ziggler at Extreme Rules. Jackson’s victory over Ziggler was in a First Blood match, which he excelled in. Cody Rhodes is a second-generation Superstar and obviously thinks very highly of himself, but will his good looks be tampered with when he gets in the ring with Jackson? Jackson won the Intercontinental title in a Triple Threat match at Wrestlemania.

An in-depth preview of the WWE Tag Team Championship match at Over the Limit will air tonight on Superstars as David Otunga and Michael McGuillicutty of the New Nexus prepare to defend their titles against Evan Bourne and Kofi Kingston. We will also recap the events of Monday Night RAW as Evan Bourne looked to get revenge on David Otunga following the assault from Otunga last week on RAW. McGuillicutty will also be in action tonight on Superstars as he faces Daniel Bryan. Last week on Superstars McGuillicutty lost to Evan Bourne in singles action. Kofi Kingston is a SmackDown! Superstar though as the WWE Tag Team Championships are defended on both shows he is allowed to team with RAW’s Evan Bourne. Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne have not teamed up before but should be exciting.

Last week on Friday Night SmackDown! Christian was unable to defeat Alberto Del Rio in the main event and the show also saw Dolph Ziggler viciously attack Kofi Kingston. Where do Christian and Ziggler go from here? We’ll find out tonight. Dolph Ziggler seems to be jealous of people getting Championship opportunities after he was unable to win the Intercontinental title from Ezekiel Jackson at Extreme Rules. Have Ziggler’s stitches been removed yet following his First Blood match with Jackson? Christian also failed to win the World title at Extreme Rules in a Triple Threat match also involving former Champion Jack Swagger and the man that won the match to become World Heavyweight Champion, Alberto Del Rio. Tonight we will see a recap of Ziggler’s dastardly actions from last week’s SmackDown!

Quick Picks:

God versus Jack Swagger

Daniel Bryan versus WWE Tag Team Champion Michael McGuillicutty

(Predictions are welcomed, there will be a prediction contest held every month).

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown!:

Non-Title: Champion vs. Champion: World Champ Del Rio vs. IC Champ Jackson

At Over the Limit Intercontinental Champion Ezekiel Jackson will defend his title against “Dashing” Cody Rhodes, but first he must face the World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio in SmackDown!’s non-title main event tonight. Last week on SmackDown! Del Rio defended his World title against Christian successfully. Del Rio won the title at Extreme Rules in a gruelling and hard-fought Triple Threat match.

Kane versus Drew McIntyre

At Extreme Rules Kane and Big Show failed to regain the WWE Tag Team Championships from David Otunga and Michael McGuillicutty of the New Nexus, and tonight Kane looks to get a win as he faces Drew McIntyre in singles action. Kane was unable to win his match last week as he lost to Wade Barrett. Kane has not won a match on television in 2011 since losing the tag team titles at Royal Rumble.

Edge versus Wade Barrett

The “Rated R Superstar” Edge lost the World Heavyweight Championship in January at the Royal Rumble and has not held the title since. Wade Barrett lost the Intercontinental Championship at Wrestlemania, and both men will want a win here. Wade Barrett was successful last week as he defeated Edge and will look to win here.

JTG versus Ur Hero

These two have never before faced off in competition, and JTG will be looking to get his first win on television since March when he defeated Curt Hawkins on an episode of SmackDown! However, Ur Hero is a promising newcomer and will be dangerous. Ur Hero previously defeated Rey Mysterio in his last ever match on SmackDown!

Beth Phoenix and Kaitlyn versus Layla and Michelle McCool

This is a rematch from last week’s Friday Night SmackDown! which saw Beth Phoenix and Kaitlyn as a tag team for the very first time as they defeated Layla and Michelle McCool. Layla and McCool demanded this rematch and hope for revenge. Beth Phoenix has won every match she has had on SmackDown! in 2011.

Also tonight on Friday Night SmackDown! will see the return for a former World Heavyweight Champion not seen since Wrestlemania and Alberto Del Rio’s challenger for the World Heavyweight title at Over the Limit will be revealed. Alberto Del Rio won the World Heavyweight Championship at Extreme Rules last month.

At Over the Limit Ezekiel Jackson will defend his WWE Intercontinental Championship against “Dashing” Cody Rhodes, and both Jackson and Rhodes will be present tonight on SmackDown! to discuss their upcoming Championship match. Rhodes is certainly confident that he can win his first singles title against Jackson.

We learned last night on WWE Superstars that Christian will face Dolph Ziggler at Over the Limit. Christian and Ziggler will both be at SmackDown! tonight, as will several other top Superstars such as Jack Swagger and the Big Show. Jack Swagger was victorious last night on WWE Superstars against God and wants another title shot.

At Over the Limit Kelly Kelly will defend her WWE Divas Championship in a Triple Threat match against Maryse and Natalya from RAW. Kelly will be present tonight on SmackDown! to discuss her preparations heading into her title defence. Over the Limit will be Kelly’s second title defence since winning the title at Wrestlemania.

Kofi Kingston will team with RAW’s Evan Bourne at Over the Limit to challenge David Otunga and Michael McGuillicutty of the New Nexus for the WWE Tag Team Championships. Kingston will be at SmackDown! tonight as will The Undertaker. The Undertaker certainly feels deserving of a title shot and may be angry tonight.

Finally, last night on WWE Superstars God was unable to defeat Jack Swagger for the second week in a row, with Swagger getting the all-important victory. What will God have to say tonight on SmackDown! regarding the future of his career? Before losing to Swagger last night God had not lost a match on television since early April.

Pre-Show: Xavier Cabana versus Joey Mercury

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Joey Mercury defeated Xavier Cabana in 17:40 by pinfall with a Hangman's Neckbreaker. The crowd wasn’t particularly into this match due to the low popularity involved.

Match Rating: F+

SmackDown! begins with the World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio making his way to the ring. Del Rio then demands to know who he will be defending the World title against at Over the Limit, which leads to Randy Orton making a shock return to SmackDown! and joining Del Rio in the ring. Orton says that it has took him a long time to recover from the concussion sustained at the hands of Jack Swagger at Wrestlemania, but now he’s back and will challenge Alberto Del Rio for the World Heavyweight Championship at Over the Limit.

Rating: B+

Ezekiel Jackson, the WWE Intercontinental Champion, then joins Alberto Del Rio and Randy Orton in the ring. Layla then rushes to the ring and kicks Kelly in the face, knocking her to the mat, before picking up the microphone and telling Kelly that it’s unfair that LayCool never receive any title shots.

Rating: D+

Kofi Kingston comes to the ring and proclaims that at Over the Limit he and Evan Bourne will defeat David Otunga and Michael McGuillicutty of the New Nexus to become the new WWE Tag Team Champions. The Undertaker then comes to the ring looking extremely mean-spirited and proceeds to clothesline Kingston before picking him up and dropping him with a devastating Last Ride powerbomb. Undertaker then picks up the microphone and says that people are going to start paying the price for disrespecting the Undertaker, and that he should be in a match at Over the Limit.

Rating: A

Beth Phoenix and Kaitlyn versus Layla and Michelle McCool

In a bout that had solid in-ring action and average heat, Beth Phoenix and Kaitlyn defeated Team LayCool in 8:03 when Beth Phoenix defeated Layla by pinfall with a Glam Slam.

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Superstars:

God versus Jack Swagger

Two weeks ago on WWE Superstars God successfully defeated Jack Swagger, and Swagger returned the favour with a victory over God. Who will win the rubber match tonight? Jack Swagger will face Big Show at Over the Limit, and will be hoping to get a victory over God for the second week in a row before facing Big Show. Jack Swagger lost his World Heavyweight Championship at Extreme Rules in April to Alberto Del Rio in a Triple Threat match also involving Christian. Swagger and God were both involved in an Elimination Chamber match in February at the Elimination Chamber Pay-Per-View as Swagger successfully retained his World title. Jack Swagger has gone on record that if he defeats God again tonight for the second week in a row God will be unable to have any more matches against Swagger.

Natalya versus Nikki Bella

At Over the Limit WWE Divas Champion Kelly Kelly will defend her title in a Triple Threat match against both Maryse and Natalya. Tonight on WWE Superstars Natalya faces Nikki Bella hoping for a victory heading into her title match at Over the Limit. Natalya lost her WWE Divas Championship at Wrestlemania to Kelly Kelly in a Triple Threat match also involving Maryse, and will be hoping to regain the title at Over the Limit. Natalya has been assaulted by Maryse recently on RAW repeatedly. Natalya has faced Nikki Bella twice before on WWE Superstars, once in February and once in the beginning of March, and was able to get the victory on both occasions. Nikki Bella is yet to record a singles victory yet in 2011, and would love to change that tonight. She has had one victory this year when teaming with her sister Brie.

Also tonight on WWE Superstars we will see a recap of this week’s RAW main event featuring the WWE Champion and New Nexus Leader CM Punk teaming with Primo to face the United States Champion John Morrison and Daniel Bryan in tag team action. At Over the Limit CM Punk will defend his WWE Championship against John Morrison and Daniel Bryan will face Primo. Bryan is hoping to eventually challenge for the WWE Championship, and would have hoped to impress in RAW’s main event. CM Punk won the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania by defeating The Miz and has since then gone to defend the title twice, against The Miz and then John Cena. Before this week’s Monday Night RAW CM Punk had won every match that he has been involved in this year apart from the 2011 Royal Rumble, won by Randy Orton.

We will also see a recap of the confrontation between David Otunga and Evan Bourne that occurred this week on RAW. At Over the Limit David Otunga and Michael McGuillicutty of the New Nexus will defend their WWE Tag Team Championships against SmackDown!’s Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne. Evan Bourne was able to defeat Michael McGuillicutty on Superstars two weeks ago, but Otunga and McGuillicutty have held the titles since beating Kane and Big Show in February. Over the Limit will be Otunga and McGuillicutty’s third title defence after defending the titles successfully against Kane and Big Show at Wrestlemania and Extreme Rules. David Otunga has not lost a match since losing to Daniel Bryan on an episode of WWE Superstars in March, and is undefeated when teaming with McGuillicutty.

Tonight on WWE Superstars we will also learn the main event for tomorrow night’s Friday Night SmackDown! featuring World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio and Randy Orton before Orton challenges Del Rio for the World title at Over the Limit. Last week on Friday Night SmackDown! Del Rio was able to defeat Intercontinental Champion Ezekiel Jackson in a non-title Champion versus Champion main event. Jackson will defend his title against “Dashing” Cody Rhodes at Over the Limit. Theodore Long has promised that tomorrow night’s SmackDown! main event will be one not to be missed, and will be Orton’s first match since Wrestlemania. Alberto Del Rio won the World Heavyweight Championship in a Triple Threat match at Extreme Rules involving Christian and former Champion Jack Swagger.

Also at Over the Limit Ezekiel Jackson will defend his WWE Intercontinental Championship against “Dashing” Cody Rhodes. Tonight on WWE Superstars we will preview that match as well as learning the fate of Rhodes and Jackson tomorrow night on Friday Night SmackDown! as they continue to prepare for their title bout. Last week on Friday Night SmackDown! Ezekiel Jackson faced World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio in a non-title Champion versus Champion main event. Del Rio will be defending his World title at Over the Limit against a returning Randy Orton. Ezekiel Jackson won the Intercontinental title at Wrestlemania in a Triple Threat match involving former Champion Wade Barrett as well as Dolph Ziggler.

Quick Picks:

God versus Jack Swagger

Natalya versus Nikki Bella

WWE Superstars (Live from the IO Iowa Field House, 693 in Attendance)

Pre-Show: Christian versus The Undertaker

In a match that had excellent in-ring action and great heat from the audience, The Undertaker defeated Christian in 17:43 by submission with a Hell's Gate. This was one of the greatest matches of the year and warmed the crowd up for the show. Christian will go on to face Dolph Ziggler at Over the Limit, in another match that should be very entertaining, with both men hoping to become Champion one day.

Match Rating: A

Natalya versus Nikki Bella

In a bout that had solid in-ring action and average heat, Natalya defeated Nikki Bella in 8:03 by pinfall with a German Suplex. Natalya will go on to challenge for the WWE Divas Championship at Over the Limit in a Triple Threat match also involving Maryse and WWE Divas Champion Kelly Kelly, of Friday Night SmackDown! This victory must have been sweet for Natalya following Nikki’s sister Brie Bella distracting her this week on RAW allowing Maryse to enter the ring and attack Natalya. Natalya lost the WWE Divas Championship to Kelly at Wrestlemania.

Match Rating: C

We see a recap video of this week’s RAW main event which saw United States Champion John Morrison and Daniel Bryan defeat WWE Champion and New Nexus Leader CM Punk and Primo in tag team action. At Over the Limit John Morrison will challenge CM Punk for the WWE Championship and Daniel Bryan will take on Primo. Promotional material for these two matches at Over the Limit then airs as well as recap videos of Daniel Bryan claiming that he wants to challenge for the WWE Championship sooner rather than later. It was Bryan who got the victory for his team in RAW’s tag team main event after he made Primo tap out, just as he will want to make Primo submit in their upcoming match at Over the Limit.

God versus Jack Swagger

In a bout that featured great action and great heat from the audience, Jack Swagger defeated God in 7:52 by submission with an Ankle Lock. This was Jack Swagger’s second victory over God on WWE Superstars in a row, after defeating him last week. Jack Swagger will now go on to face the Big Show at Over the Limit. Both Jack Swagger and the Big Show will be looking for a victory at Over the Limit and Swagger in particular would love another shot at the World Heavyweight Championship that he lost in a Triple Threat match at Wrestlemania.

Match Rating: B-

Post-Show: Mark Henry versus Justin Gabriel

In a match that had some good action and a good crowd, Mark Henry defeated Justin Gabriel in 18:21 by submission with a Bear Hug. Mark Henry was visibly tiring towards the end of this match but was still able to get the all-important victory. This was Mark Henry’s second victory of the week after defeating William Regal on RAW. Justin Gabriel of the New Nexus will likely be disappointed with himself after losing.

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown!:

World Champion Del Rio & Cody Rhodes vs. IC Champion Ezekiel Jackson & Orton

At Over The Limit Alberto Del Rio will defend his World Heavyweight Championship against Randy Orton whilst Ezekiel Jackson will put his Intercontinental Championship on the line against “Dashing” Cody Rhodes, but first these four Superstars will face off in tag team action in tonight’s SmackDown! main event.

Edge versus Wade Barrett

Last week on Friday Night SmackDown! Wade Barrett defeated Edge, and tonight the former multi-time World Heavyweight Championship and Rated R Superstar will have an opportunity to avenge his loss from last week against the former bare-knuckle fighting Champion from Manchester England. Edge has beaten Wade Barrett in singles action once before this year already, on SmackDown! in January.

JTG versus Drew McIntyre

Last week on SmackDown! the Scottish Chosen One Drew McIntyre achieved a huge singles victory against the Big Red Monster Kane, and tonight he looks to continue winning as he faces the brawler from the hood, JTG. These two have also previously faced off on an episode of SmackDown! in January, in a bout that saw McIntyre get the all-important victory. McIntyre will be hoping for the same success tonight.

Beth Phoenix and Kaitlyn versus Layla and Michelle McCool

Following losing to Beth Phoenix and Kaitlyn in tag team action for the past two weeks running on Friday Night SmackDown!, General Manager Theodore Long has granted Layla and Michelle McCool one last match against the pair of blondes in an attempt to finally get a victory. Team LayCool have not won a match as a tag team in 2011 whereas Beth Phoenix has only failed to win in one of her matches this year.

Also tonight on Friday Night SmackDown! we will hear from both Champion and Challenger heading into the World Heavyweight Championship match at Over the Limit as World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio and Randy Orton will both be present and will be able to speak to one another in the ring before they face off on opposite sides of the ring in tonight’s tag team main event.

Both Ezekiel Jackson and “Dashing” Cody Rhodes will also be giving their thoughts on their upcoming Championship match at Over the Limit as Ezekiel Jackson prepares to put his Intercontinental Championship on the line for only the second time at Over the Limit against Rhodes. Both Jackson and Rhodes will then also be involved in tonight’s tag team main event, teaming with Orton and Del Rio respectively.

We will hear from both Christian and Dolph Ziggler tonight on Friday Night SmackDown! prior to their upcoming match at Over the Limit, as well as hear from both Big Show and Jack Swagger before their match at Over the Limit. All four of these Superstars have Championships in mind, and will be all be looking to gain huge victories at Over the Limit as they aim to climb the ladder to an eventual title shot. Jack Swagger was victorious last night on WWE Superstars as he defeated God.

At Over the Limit the WWE Divas Champion Kelly Kelly will defend her title in a Triple Threat match against Maryse and Natalya of Monday Night RAW. Kelly Kelly will be present tonight on SmackDown! to discuss her upcoming Championship defence and will also likely be interested in tonight’s Divas tag team bout as Beth Phoenix teams with Kaitlyn to take on the team of Layla and Michelle McCool. Layla and McCool have been thorns in the side of Kelly as of late, attacking her repeatedly.

Also at Over the Limit we will see SmackDown!’s Kofi Kingston team with RAW’s Evan Bourne to challenge David Otunga and Michael McGuillicutty of the New Nexus for the WWE Tag Team Championships. Kofi Kingston will be present tonight on SmackDown! but may not be feeling as fit and energetic as usual following the assault that he suffered as the hands of The Undertaker last week. Undertaker will also be present tonight on SmackDown!, will Kingston have revenge on his mind?

Last night on WWE Superstars God lost to Jack Swagger for the second week in a row. God will no longer be able to receive any more chances at facing the former World Heavyweight Champion Swagger again with Swagger moving on to face the Big Show at Over the Limit. Where does this defeat leave God? God will make a special appearance tonight on Friday Night SmackDown! to address his future. It’s no secret that God is a tremendous talent, but what will he have to say to the WWE Universe?

Finally, we learnt two weeks ago on Friday Night SmackDown! that WWE Divas Champion Kelly Kelly has taken Rosa Mendes under her proverbial wing. How is the relationship between Kelly and Rosa developing? We’ll find out tonight on SmackDown!

Quick Picks:

World Champion Del Rio & Cody Rhodes vs. IC Champion Ezekiel Jackson & Orton

Edge versus Wade Barrett

JTG versus Drew McIntyre

Beth Phoenix and Kaitlyn versus Layla and Michelle McCool

(Predictions are welcomed, there will be a prediction contest held every month).
