WWE Friday Night SmackDown! (Live from the MX Poliforum Chiapas, 1,953 in Attendance)

Pre-Show: Kane versus Tyler Reks

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Tyler Reks defeated Kane in 17:33 by pinfall with a Torture Rack DDT.

Match Rating: D

Friday Night SmackDown! begins with the WWE Intercontinental Champion “Dashing” Cody Rhodes making his way to the ring. Rhodes says that this past Sunday at the WWE Fatal Four-Way Pay-Per-View he defeated Dolph Ziggler, Christiana and Ezekiel Jackson in a Fatal Four-Way bout to retain his title. Rhodes then announces that he will be taking part in the SmackDown! Money in the Bank ladder match at the upcoming WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View. One half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, Kofi Kingston, then joins Rhodes in the ring and notes that he was also successful at Fatal Four-Way as he and Evan Bourne successfully defended their Tag Team titles in a Fatal Four-Way tag team bout against former Champions David Otunga and Michael McGuillicutty, fellow New Nexus members Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel as well as the dynamic duo of Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov. Kingston then says that just as Evan Bourne will be taking part in the RAW Money in the Bank ladder match, Kingston will be joining Rhodes in the SmackDown! Money in the Bank ladder match.

Rating: D+

The World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio comes to the ring and says that this past Sunday at the WWE Fatal Four-Way Pay-Per-View he successfully defended his World title in a Fatal Four-Way bout against Kane, Big Show and Jack Swagger. Del Rio then says that in tonight’s main event he will be taking on Ezekiel Jackson in a non-title bout. Del Rio says that Jackson was not as successful at Fatal Four-Way as he failed to win the WWE Intercontinental Championship in a Fatal Four-Way match as “Dashing” Cody Rhodes defeated Jackson, Christian and Dolph Ziggler to retain his title. Big Show then joins Del Rio in the ring and announces that at the upcoming Money in the Bank ladder match he will be challenging Del Rio for the World title.

Rating: B-

The Undertaker comes to the ring and notes that this past Sunday at the WWE Fatal Four-Way Pay-Per-View he defeated Finlay for the second time on Pay-Per-View this year, having already defeated him in a Casket Match at the Extreme Rules Pay-Per-View back in April. Undertaker then challenges Randy Orton to a match at the upcoming Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View. Undertaker says that he is aware that Randy Orton is now fit to return to the ring after suffering an injury at the hands of Alberto Del Rio at the Over the Limit Pay-Per-View in May and wants to take out Orton and prove that he is the best there is on Friday Night SmackDown!

Rating: D-

Ezekiel Jackson comes to the ring and says that even though he failed to win back the WWE Intercontinental Championship at the Fatal Four-Way Pay-Per-View this past Sunday as “Dashing” Cody Rhodes defeated Jackson, Dolph Ziggler and Christian to retain his title in a Fatal Four-Way bout, things are looking up for Jackson. Ezekiel Jackson announces that not only will he be competing in a non-title match in tonight’s Friday Night SmackDown! main event against the World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio, but he will also be joining Rhodes and one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, Kofi Kingston, in the SmackDown! Money in the Bank ladder match at the upcoming WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View. Jackson says that he will beat Del Rio in tonight’s main event, with Del Rio likely still hurting from defending his title in a Fatal Four-Way match on Sunday against Jack Swagger, Kane and the Big Show, and already worrying about his next title defence against the Big Show at Money in the Bank. Dolph Ziggler then joins Jackson in the ring and announces that he will also be taking part in the Money in the Bank ladder match, and wants to make a statement of intent tonight. Ziggler then hits Jackson with a Superkick, leaving him down and out prior to tonight’s main event against Del Rio.

Rating: C-

Dolph Ziggler continues to stand over a fallen Ezekiel Jackson and picks up the microphone again to say that even though “Dashing” Cody Rhodes beat Dolph Ziggler, Jackson and Christian on Sunday at the Fatal Four-Way Pay-Per-View in a Fatal Four-Way bout to retain his WWE Intercontinental Championship, Ziggler will defeat Rhodes, Jackson as well as one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions Kofi Kingston in the SmackDown! Money in the Bank ladder match at the upcoming WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View next month to prove that he is the superior athlete. Ziggler also says that Jackson will have a tough time now in tonight’s scheduled Friday Night SmackDown! main event against the World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio in non-title action and that Del Rio will likely beat Jackson just as he defeated Big Show, Kane and Jack Swagger to retain his title on Sunday at the WWE Fatal Four-Way Pay-Per-View. Drew McIntyre then comes to the ring and shakes hands with Ziggler before announcing that he will also be taking part in the SmackDown! Money in the Bank ladder match. McIntyre then picks up Jackson again only to drop him with a Futureshock DDT.

Rating: D

Kelly Kelly comes to the ring and says that she was upset to lose her WWE Divas Championship at the Fatal Four-Way Pay-Per-View on Sunday in the Fatal Four-Way bout against Beth Phoenix, Natalya and Maryse, with Beth Phoenix leaving as the new Champion. Kelly says that she will win it back when the four Divas do it all over again at Money in the Bank. Beth then rushes to the ring and hits Kelly with a Glam Slam.

Rating: E

JTG versus Jack Swagger

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Jack Swagger defeated JTG in 7:32 by pinfall with a Gutwrench Powerbomb.

Match Rating: C+

WWE Divas Champion Beth Phoenix, Kaitlyn & Rosa vs. Lay-Cool & Vickie Guerrero

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Beth Phoenix, Kaitlyn and Rosa Mendes defeated Layla, Michelle McCool and Vickie Guerrero in 6:33 when Beth Phoenix defeated Layla by pinfall with a Glam Slam.

Match Rating: D-

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Monday Night RAW:

Non-Title: WWE Champion The Miz versus William Regal

Last week on Monday Night RAW The Miz defeated New Nexus leader CM Punk to win the WWE Championship in the main event, and as the match was billed as a “Loser Leaves WWE” match, also banish Punk from World Wrestling Entertainment. Later this month at the upcoming WWE Money In The Bank Pay-Per-View Miz will put the title on the line for the very first time in a Triple Threat match against Sheamus and Mark Henry, but first he must face the hard-hitting veteran from Blackpool, England, William Regal in tonight’s non-title main event. Miz is undefeated since losing his WWE Championship rematch to Punk the night after Wrestlemania, and will be looking to continue that winning streak tonight.

Triple H versus Ted DiBiase

The Anonymous RAW General Manager seems to have put aside his differences with the Game, Triple H as of late and has granted him another match tonight on Monday Night RAW as he takes on the son of the Million Dollar Man, Ted DiBiase. Last week on RAW Triple H was able to defeat another young Superstar in Alex Riley and will be hoping to get another all-important victory under his belt tonight. Triple H has won all three matches that he has been involved in thus far in 2011, and a victory over DiBiase tonight will no doubt do wonders for his chances of getting back into the Championship picture.

R-Truth versus Husky Harris

R-Truth will take on Husky Harris in singles action tonight on Monday Night RAW in what should be an interesting match for New Nexus member Husky Harris in particular considering his New Nexus Leader CM Punk was banished from the WWE last week. These two men were both involved in the Battle Royal prior to Wrestlemania, which was won by the mysterious God of Friday Night SmackDown! R-Truth is undefeated since losing to Ted DiBiase on an episode of RAW in May and will be looking to continue that winning streak tonight.

Vladimir Kozlov versus Zack Ryder

Both Zack Ryder and the Russian Vladimir Kozlov were also both involved in the Battle Royal which was held before Wrestlemania, that match being won by God. This will actually be the Long Island Iced Z’s first match on Monday Night RAW this year, so he will be hoping to impress the Anonymous RAW General Manager with an all-important victory against the Sambo Master Vladimir Kozlov. Ryder’s last televised match was a loss to Evan Bourne in a Hardcore match at the Extreme Rules Pay-Per-View back in April, but will he show any ring rust tonight?

Eve and Gail Kim versus Maryse and Brie Bella

At the upcoming WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View later this month Maryse will join Natalya and Kelly Kelly of Friday Night SmackDown! in challenging Beth Phoenix for the WWE Divas Championship in a Fatal Four-Way match, but tonight Maryse will first team up with Brie Bella on Monday Night RAW to take on the team of Eve and Gail Kim. This is the first time that Brie has teamed with Maryse, though she has helped her in her assaults of Natalya in recent weeks.

Before competing on tonight’s non-title Monday Night RAW main event against William Regal, we will also hear from the new WWE Champion The Miz following his Championship victory last week in RAW’s main event in a “Loser Leaves WWE” match against former New Nexus Leader CM Punk. Miz is expected to discuss his first title defence at the upcoming WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View when he will defend the title in a Triple Threat match against the Celtic Warrior Sheamus and the World’s Strongest Man Mark Henry. What will Miz have to say about his challengers at Money in the Bank?

Also tonight on Monday Night RAW we will hear from one of the two challengers in the upcoming WWE Championship match at the WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View later this month as Mark Henry will discuss his preparations for joining Sheamus in challenging The Miz for the WWE Championship in a Triple Threat match. Miz won the title in last week’s RAW main event by defeating former New Nexus Leader CM Punk in a “Loser Leaves WWE” match and Henry will likely be also keeping an eye in tonight’s main event as Miz will take on William Regal in non-title action.

At the WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View later this month Daniel Bryan, one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions Evan Bourne, John Cena, David Otunga and Michael McGuillicutty of the New Nexus as well as one other yet to be announced participant will take part in the RAW Money in the Bank Ladder match. Tonight on Monday Night RAW we will hear from Daniel Bryan as he prepares for this career defining match. There will also be a SmackDown! Money in the Bank match taking place at the Pay-Per-View which will feature the other half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, Kofi Kingston, the WWE Intercontinental Champion “Dashing” Cody Rhodes, Ezekiel Jackson, Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre and one other as of yet unannounced Superstar.

Also at the WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View later this month Primo will challenge John Morrison for the United States Championship, and Primo will be present tonight on Monday Night RAW to discuss his preparations as he looks to regain the title he lost at the Extreme Rules Pay-Per-View back in April. We will also hear from William Regal tonight on RAW before he takes on the new WWE Champion The Miz in tonight’s non-title main event.

Quick Picks:

Non-Title: WWE Champion The Miz versus William Regal

Triple H versus Ted DiBiase

R-Truth versus Husky Harris

Vladimir Kozlov versus Zack Ryder

Eve and Gail Kim versus Maryse and Brie Bella

(Predictions are welcomed, there will be a prediction contest held every month).

Monday Night RAW begins with the new WWE Champion, The Miz, making his way to the ring. Miz says that last week on Monday Night RAW he defeated former New Nexus Leader CM Punk not only to win the WWE Championship, but to also banish Punk from the WWE. Miz says that his first title defence will be at the upcoming WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View where he will face Sheamus and Mark Henry in a Triple Threat match. Miz says that he is not afraid of Sheamus, and Mark Henry is a waste of space, so will defend his title with ease. The Miz seems very confident of his abilities before his match with William Regal later tonight.

Mark Henry then comes to the ring slowly to meet the WWE Champion The Miz in the ring. Henry says that Miz might have beat former New Nexus Leader CM Punk last week on Monday Night RAW in a “Loser Leaves WWE” match to win the title, and that’s a good thing, but he won’t be holding it for much longer. Mark Henry says that he will defeat both Miz and Sheamus at the upcoming WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View in their Triple Threat match to become the new WWE Champion. Regal then announces that he is the final participant in the RAW Money in the Bank ladder match, and that he will win the match, beating the irrelevant John Cena, one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions Evan Bourne, Daniel Bryan, as well as New Nexus members David Otunga and Michael McGuillicutty in the process. Regal also says that he is more experienced than everybody in both the RAW and the SmackDown! Money in the Bank ladder matches, with the SmackDown! match being comprised of the other half of the WWE Tag Team Champions Kofi Kingston, the WWE Intercontinental Champion “Dashing” Cody Rhodes, Ezekiel Jackson, Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre and a final as of yet unannounced Superstar.

Natalya comes to the ring and says that at the WWE Money in the Bank ladder match she will defeat the WWE Divas Champion Beth Phoenix, Kelly Kelly and Maryse in the Fatal Four-Way bout to become the new Divas Champion. Once again Brie Bella then comes to the ring and distracts Natalya for long enough for Maryse to slide into the ring and hit Natalya with a DDT, leaving her unconscious in the centre of the ring. The other half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, Kofi Kingston, will join the WWE Intercontinental Champion “Dashing” Cody Rhodes, Ezekiel Jackson, Drew McIntyre, Dolph Ziggler and a final as of yet unannounced participant in the SmackDown! Money in the Bank ladder match. Before all of that though, Miz must first face Otunga in tonight’s Monday Night RAW non-title main event. Otunga will likely have a score to settle with Miz after Miz forced former New Nexus Leader CM Punk to leave the WWE two weeks ago.

Eve versus Maryse

Maryse will join fellow RAW Diva Natalya as well as SmackDown!’s Kelly Kelly in challenging Beth Phoenix for the WWE Divas Championship in a Fatal Four-Way match at the upcoming WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View but first she must face Eve tonight on Monday Night RAW. Last week on RAW Maryse and Brie Bella teamed up to defeat Gail Kim and Eve in tag team action and Eve will be hoping to have more success against Maryse in singles action tonight.

Gail Kim versus Brie Bella

As previously mentioned, last week on Monday Night RAW Maryse and Brie Bella defeated Eve and Gail Kim in tag team action. Tonight on RAW Gail Kim will face Brie in one on one competition, looking to gain an all-important victory. These two have faced one another once before on Monday Night RAW, in May of this year, with Brie picking up the win on that particular occasion. However, Gail Kim and Eve did defeat the Bella Twins in tag team action for two weeks in a row on episodes of RAW in June.

Also tonight on Monday Night RAW we will hear from the WWE Champion The Miz before he takes on David Otunga of the New Nexus in the evening’s non-title main event. At the upcoming WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View Miz will defend his title in a Triple Threat match against both Sheamus and Mark Henry, whilst David Otunga will compete in the RAW Money in the Bank ladder match along with fellow New Nexus member Michael McGuillicutty, one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions Evan Bourne, Daniel Bryan, John Cena and William Regal. Mark Henry will also be present tonight on Monday Night RAW to discuss his upcoming title shot at the WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View as he will join Sheamus in challenging The Miz for the WWE Championship in a Triple Threat match. Henry will also be likely watching tonight’s main event very closely as The Miz faces David Otunga of the New Nexus in non-title action. The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown!:

Non-Title: World Champion Alberto Del Rio vs. Randy Orton

At the upcoming WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View Alberto Del Rio will put his World Heavyweight Championship on the line against the Big Show, but first he must face Randy Orton tonight in Friday Night SmackDown!’s non-title main event. This will be Orton’s first appearance on SmackDown! since he suffered an injury at the hands of Alberto Del Rio at the WWE Over the Limit Pay-Per-View back in May and will be a good test for him as he heads towards his match with The Undertaker at Money in the Bank. Orton will likely want revenge on Del Rio tonight after Del Rio defeated him at Over the Limit to make the second defence of his World title.

Kane versus Rob Conway

Last week on Friday Night SmackDown! the Big Red Monster Kane fought the Con Man Rob Conway in singles competition for the very first time and was able to gain the all-important victory. Tonight the pair will face off once again with Conway hoping to gain the win on this occasion. Kane’s win last week was actually his first victory on SmackDown! in 2011 and he will be hoping to continue his mini-resurgence tonight. Rob Conway’s last win, on the other hand, came all the way back in March of this year against God on an episode of the now defunct WWE Superstars.

JTG versus Adam Pearce

In another rematch from last week’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown! the Brawler from the Hood JTG will once again take on newcomer Adam Pearce tonight. When these two met last week the relative veteran JTG was able to get the win, and will be hoping for more of the same tonight as he faces Pearce for a second time. JTG has been in action on every edition of SmackDown! since the beginning of May, so will he be able to physically face the gruelling test of Pearce again tonight?

WWE Divas Champion Beth Phoenix, Kaitlyn & Rosa vs. Team Lay-Cool & Vickie

At the upcoming WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View Beth Phoenix will put her WWE Divas Championship on the line in a Fatal Four-Way match against former Champion Kelly Kelly as well as RAW’s Natalya and Maryse. Before that, however, she must first team up with Kaitlyn and Rosa Mendes tonight on Friday Night SmackDown! in Six Diva tag team action to take on the team of Layla, Michelle McCool and Vickie Guerrero. This match has taken place every week on SmackDown! since mid-May, with Beth’s team getting the all-important victory on every occasion thus far, so Beth will be hoping to lead her team to victory once again tonight.

Also tonight on Friday Night SmackDown! we will hear from the WWE Intercontinental Champion “Dashing” Cody Rhodes as well as Ezekiel Jackson as they prepare for the SmackDown! Money in the Bank ladder match at the upcoming WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View where they will join one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions Kofi Kingston, Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre and an as of yet unannounced participant in challenging for the briefcase containing a future title shot. The other half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, Evan Bourne, will compete in the RAW Money in the Bank ladder match along with New Nexus members David Otunga and Michael McGuillicutty, William Regal, John Cena and Daniel Bryan.

Before the World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio faces Randy Orton in tonight’s Friday Night SmackDown! non-title main event, we will hear from both Del Rio as well as his challenger to the World title at the upcoming WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View, the Big Show. Del Rio’s opponent tonight, Randy Orton, will also be in action at Money in the Bank as he faces The Undertaker.

As previously mentioned, one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions Kofi Kingston will compete in the SmackDown! Money in the Bank ladder match along with Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre, Ezekiel Jackson, the WWE Intercontinental Champion “Dashing” Cody Rhodes as well as a final as of yet unannounced Superstar at the upcoming WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View. Both Kingston and Ziggler will also both be present tonight as they discuss their preparations for the big match whilst Kingston is also likely to mention his tag team partner and other half of the WWE Tag Team Champions Evan Bourne, who will join New Nexus members David Otunga and Michael McGuillicutty, Daniel Bryan, John Cena and William Regal in the RAW Money in the Bank ladder match.

Last week on Friday Night SmackDown! the “All American American” Jack Swagger announced that he would be taking on the “Rated R Superstar” Edge at the upcoming WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View, and Swagger will be present tonight on SmackDown! to discuss his preparations for his match with Edge. The Undertaker will also be present tonight on SmackDown! and is likely to address the WWE Universe regarding his upcoming match with Randy Orton at Money in the Bank as well as taking a big interest in tonight’s non-title main event as the Viper Randy Orton takes on the World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio. Del Rio will be putting his World title on the line at Money in the Bank against the Big Show.

Also at the WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View next Sunday Beth Phoenix will put her WWE Divas Championship on the line in a Fatal Four-Way match against Kelly Kelly, Natalya and Maryse. Both Beth and Kelly will be present tonight on Friday Night SmackDown!

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown!:

World Champion Alberto Del Rio & The Undertaker vs. Big Show & Randy Orton

This Sunday at the WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View Alberto Del Rio will defend his World Heavyweight Championship against the Big Show, whilst The Undertaker will take on Randy Orton in singles action. First though, Del Rio must team with The Undertaker tonight on Friday Night SmackDown! in our main event of the evening to take on the team of the Big Show and Randy Orton. Del Rio has never teamed with The Undertaker before, whilst Big Show and Orton will also be teaming up for the very first time.

Finlay versus Jack Swagger

At the WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View this Sunday the “All American American” Jack Swagger will face the “Rated R Superstar” Edge in what should be a tremendous contest. Tonight on Friday Night SmackDown!, however, Swagger must first take on the “Fighting Irishman” Finlay for the very first time. This will be Swagger’s first match since defeating the Brawler from the Hood JTG three weeks ago on SmackDown! Swagger has also not lost a match on SmackDown! since April when he and Alberto Del Rio, the current World Heavyweight Champion, lost a tag team main event match to Christian and Edge.

Kane versus Rob Conway

For the past two weeks on Friday Night SmackDown! the Big Red Machine Kane has been victorious in matches against the Con Man, Rob Conway, and tonight these two will face off one more time. Before his first win over Conway two weeks ago, Kane had not won a match on SmackDown! in 2011, despite holding the WWE Tag Team Championships earlier this year with the Big Show, so perhaps Kane’s career is now looking brighter, and a third win over Conway tonight would go a long way to perhaps consolidating that. Conway, on the other hand, has not won a match since defeating the mysterious God on an episode of the now defunct WWE Superstars back in March.

JTG versus Adam Pearce

For the past two weeks on Friday Night SmackDown! The Brawler from the Hood, JTG, has been victorious in matches against relative newcomer, Adam Pearce. Tonight these two will go one on one for the last time, with JTG hoping to get another all-important victory. Since the beginning of May, JTG has competed on every episode of SmackDown! and another win tonight may suggest that JTG is one to watch this summer. Before losing to JTG two weeks ago Pearce was undefeated on television, and will be looking to take a step back in the right direction with a win tonight.

WWE Divas Champion Beth Phoenix, Kaitlyn & Rosa vs. Lay-Cool & Vickie Guerrero

This Sunday at the WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View Beth Phoenix will put her WWE Divas Championship on the line in a Fatal Four-Way match against Kelly Kelly as well as Natalya and Maryse of Monday Night RAW. Tonight though, she must team with Kaitlyn and Rosa Mendes to take on the team of Layla, Michelle McCool and Vickie Guerrero in Six-Diva tag team action on Friday Night SmackDown! This match has taken place on every edition of SmackDown! for the past eight weeks with Beth’s team getting the victory on every occasion thus far.

Also tonight on Friday Night SmackDown! we will hear from the WWE Intercontinental Champion “Dashing” Cody Rhodes and Ezekiel Jackson just two days before they compete in the SmackDown! Money in the Bank ladder match this Sunday at the WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View. Tonight we will also learn the final participant for the match, and learn who will be joining Rhodes, Jackson, Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre and one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, Kofi Kingston, in one of the most dangerous matches known to man this Sunday. The other half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, Evan Bourne, will be competing in the RAW Money in the Bank ladder match alongside John Cena, Daniel Bryan, William Regal, as well as New Nexus members David Otunga and Michael McGuillicutty.

We will also hear from both World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio as well as his challenger this Sunday at the WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View, the Big Show, tonight on Friday Night SmackDown! before the two meet one another in tonight’s tag team main event as Big Show teams with Randy Orton to take on the team of Alberto Del Rio and The Undertaker. Randy Orton will take on The Undertaker this Sunday at Money in the Bank.

Both Dolph Ziggler as well as one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, Kofi Kingston, will also be present tonight on Friday Night SmackDown! as they prepare for the SmackDown! Money in the Bank ladder match this Sunday at the WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View where they will join Drew McIntyre, Ezekiel Jackson, the WWE Intercontinental Champion “Dashing” Cody Rhodes as well as the final participant to be announced tonight in challenging for a briefcase containing a Championship opportunity. The other half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, Evan Bourne, will compete in the RAW Money in the Bank ladder match this Sunday along with New Nexus members David Otunga and Michael McGuillicutty, John Cena, Daniel Bryan and William Regal.

Finally, we will hear from the Undertaker tonight on Friday Night SmackDown! before he teams with the World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio in tonight’s tag team main event to take on the team of the Big Show and Randy Orton. Undertaker will meet Orton this Sunday at Money in the Bank.

Quick Picks:

World Champion Alberto Del Rio & The Undertaker vs. Big Show & Randy Orton

Del Rio says that this Sunday at the WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View he will beat the Big Show to successfully retain his World title and that he also suspects that The Undertaker will defeat Randy Orton at Money in the Bank as well. Big Show then joins Del Rio in the ring and says that he will be leaving Money in the Bank as the new World Heavyweight Champion.

WWE Divas Champion Beth Phoenix, Kaitlyn & Rosa vs. Team Lay-Cool & Vickie

In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Beth Phoenix, Kaitlyn and Rosa Mendes defeated Layla, Michelle McCool and Vickie Guerrero in 6:35 when Beth Phoenix defeated Vickie Guerrero by pinfall with a Glam Slam.

Match Rating: D+

(Harvey Wippleman feels that Vickie Guerrero needs to be booked in shorter matches, as she was totally exposed by the length of this one.)

Kofi Kingston, one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, returns to the ring and says that even after he was attacked by Dolph Ziggler earlier, he still believes that he will win the SmackDown! Money in the Bank ladder match by defeating Ziggler, the WWE Intercontinental Champion “Dashing” Cody Rhodes, Ezekiel Jackson, Christian and Drew McIntyre this Sunday at the WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View. Kingston also says that he hopes his partner, the other half of the WWE Tag Team Champions Evan Bourne, can defeat John Cena, Daniel Bryan, William Regal as well as David Otunga and Michael McGuillicutty of the New Nexus to win the RAW Money in the Bank ladder match. Drew McIntyre then rushes to the ring and hits Kingston with a Futureshock DDT.

At the end of June on Monday Night RAW The Miz defeated New Nexus Leader CM Punk to win the WWE Championship in a “Loser Leaves WWE” match, beginning his third reign as WWE Champion, and tonight he must make his first title defence against both Mark Henry and Sheamus in a Triple Threat match. This will be the first Triple Threat match between these three Superstars and all three will be hoping to get the all-important victory to leave Money in the Bank with the prestigious WWE Championship.

World Heavyweight Championship: Alberto Del Rio © versus Big Show

Since winning the World Heavyweight Championship back at the Extreme Rules Pay-Per-View back in May from former Champion Jack Swagger in a Triple Threat match also involving Christian, Alberto Del Rio has already made three title defences, and tonight he will defend the World title for a fourth time as he takes on the Big Show. Del Rio is undefeated against the Big Show, having won all five matches that both men have been involved in, including a tag team victory two days ago on Friday Night SmackDown! as Del Rio teamed with The Undertaker to defeat the team of Big Show and Randy Orton.

United States Championship: John Morrison © versus Primo

John Morrison became United States Champion for the very first time by defeating Primo in a Falls Count Anywhere match back in May at the WWE Extreme Rules Pay-Per-View, and tonight will make his third title defence as Primo challenges for the title. Primo was also involved in Morrison’s first title defence as he defeated Primo, John Cena and William Regal in a Fatal Four-Way match back at the WWE Fatal Four-Way Pay-Per-View last month. The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Monday Night RAW:</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>

<strong>Non-Title: WWE Champion The Miz versus Primo</strong></p><p>

Last night at the WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View The Miz successfully defended his WWE Championship in a Triple Threat match against both Mark Henry and Sheamus, whilst Primo failed in his quest to win the United States Championship from John Morrison. Tonight in Monday Night RAW’s main event, Miz will face Primo in non-title action. This will be the first meeting between Miz and Primo on television, and the WWE Champion will be hoping for another all-important victory tonight. Incredibly, The Miz is undefeated since losing to CM Punk on the night after Wrestlemania.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>John Cena versus Zack Ryder</strong></p><p>

John Cena failed in his efforts to win the RAW Money in the Bank ladder match last night as Daniel Bryan was victorious at the WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View, defeating Cena, one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions Evan Bourne, David Otunga and Michael McGuillicutty of the New Nexus as well as William Regal to win the briefcase containing a future title shot. The SmackDown! Money in the Bank ladder match was won by Dolph Ziggler as he defeated the other half of the WWE Tag Team Champions Kofi Kingston, the WWE Intercontinental Champion “Dashing” Cody Rhodes, Ezekiel Jackson, Christian and Drew McIntyre. Tonight on Monday Night RAW Cena looks to get back to winning ways as he takes on Zack Ryder.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Triple H versus Heath Slater</strong></p><p>

Last night at the WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel of the New Nexus defeated Triple H and David Hart Smith in tag team action, and tonight on Monday Night RAW Triple H will face Heath Slater one on one, looking for retribution following last night’s loss. This will be the first ever singles meeting between Triple H and Slater, and perhaps Slater’s biggest and toughest test of his individual career thus far.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>R-Truth versus Justin Gabriel</strong></p><p>

Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater of the New Nexus picked up a huge victory last night at the WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View as they defeated Triple H and David Hart Smith in tag team action. Whilst Triple H will be in action against Heath Slater tonight on Monday Night RAW, Slater’s partner Gabriel will also be in singles competition as he takes on the unpredictable R-Truth. These two have faced off twice before on RAW, once in February and once in April, with Truth getting the all-important victory on both occasions thus far. Can Gabriel turn it around and pick up a win of his own tonight?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Santino Marella versus Husky Harris</strong></p><p>

Also tonight on Monday Night RAW Santino Marella will take on New Nexus member Husky Harris in one on one competition. These two have never met before on television but were both involved in the Battle Royal prior to this year’s Wrestlemania which was won by the mysterious God of Friday Night SmackDown! Tonight will be Santino’s first match on RAW since losing to another New Nexus member, Justin Gabriel, on an episode of RAW in May of this year. Santino has also failed to win a match on Monday Night RAW in 2011.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Vladimir Kozlov versus Ted DiBiase</strong></p><p>

Santino Marella’s tag team partner Vladimir Kozlov will also be in action tonight on Monday Night RAW as he takes on Ted DiBiase in singles action. Both Santino and Kozlov were also both involved in the Battle Royal prior to this year’s Wrestlemania, won by the mysterious God of Friday Night SmackDown! Other than that Kozlov and DiBiase’s paths have yet to cross, and tonight will be their first ever singles match against one another. Monday Night RAW begins with the WWE Champion The Miz making his way to the ring. Miz says that last night at the WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View he successfully defended his title in a Triple Threat match against both Sheamus and Mark Henry, and that in tonight’s non-title main event he will defeat Primo. He says that Primo will lose tonight just as he lost last night when he failed to defeat John Morrison to win the United States Championship. The Anonymous General Manager then sends an email to Michael Cole announcing that at Summerslam Miz will defend the WWE title in a Triple Threat match again against Mark Henry and Sheamus. The Miz seems outraged at this decision, but says that he will prove again at Summerslam that Mark Henry is useless and Sheamus is all talk as he successfully retains his WWE Championship.

Bryan says that Dolph Ziggler won the SmackDown! Money in the Bank briefcase last night by defeating the other half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, Kofi Kingston, the WWE Intercontinental Champion “Dashing” Cody Rhodes, Ezekiel Jackson, Christian and Drew McIntyre. Bryan then announces that after Primo failed to defeat John Morrison last night to win the United States Championship, Bryan has learned that at Summerslam he will join Primo in challenging Morrison for the US title in a Triple Threat match. Rating: B

One half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, Evan Bourne, comes to the ring and says that unfortunately he was unable to win the RAW Money in the Bank ladder match last night at the WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View as Daniel Bryan defeated Bourne, New Nexus members David Otunga and Michael McGuillicutty, John Cena and William Regal to win the briefcase. Bourne says that it’s also a shame that his partner, the other half of the WWE Tag Team Champions Kofi Kingston, failed to win the SmackDown! Money in the Bank ladder match as Dolph Ziggler defeated Kingston, the WWE Intercontinental Champion “Dashing” Cody Rhodes, Ezekiel Jackson, Christian and Drew McIntyre. Natalya does announce that at Summerslam Beth will defend her title again in a Triple Threat match against both Maryse and Natalya. Rating: D+

Sheamus comes to the ring and says that even though he failed to win the WWE Championship last night at the WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View as Miz defeated both Sheamus and Mark Henry in a Triple Threat match to retain his title, he will win the rematch at Summerslam as Miz will defend the title against Sheamus and Henry in a Triple Threat match again. Primo then joins Sheamus in the ring and says that although he was unable to win the United States Championship from John Morrison last night, he will beat The Miz in tonight’s Monday Night RAW non-title main event and at Summerslam he will beat both Morrison and Mr. RAW Money in the Bank Daniel Bryan to win the United States title, and that he doesn’t care that Bryan was able to beat New Nexus members Otunga and McGuillicutty, Evan Bourne, John Cena and William Regal last night.

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown!:

Non-Title: World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio versus The Big Show

Last Sunday at the WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View Alberto Del Rio defeated The Big Show to successfully retain his World Heavyweight Championship, and tonight, in Friday Night SmackDown!’s non-title main event, Del Rio will face Big Show once more. Del Rio is currently undefeated against Big Show in six singles, multi-man and tag team matches.

Kane versus The Undertaker

The Undertaker was successful last Sunday at the WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View when he defeated Randy Orton, re-injuring Orton’s shoulder in the process courtesy of his Hell’s Gate submission hold. Tonight on Friday Night SmackDown! The Undertaker will face his own brother, the Big Red Monster Kane, hoping to get another all-important victory under his already legendary belt. These two have had several meetings in the past but this will be their first match against one another this year. The Undertaker is undefeated on SmackDown! since losing to Jack Swagger and Cody Rhodes in a tag team match in February.

JTG versus Jack Swagger

At the WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View last Sunday the “All American American” Jack Swagger lost his match with the “Rated R Superstar” Edge and tonight will hope to get things back on track with an important victory over the Brawler from the Hood JTG on Friday Night SmackDown! These two have met once before, on an episode of SmackDown! last month, with Swagger getting the win on that occasion. Swagger has not lost a match on SmackDown! since losing a tag team match to Christian and Edge back in April.

Finlay versus Adam Pearce

Also tonight on Friday Night SmackDown! the veteran and Fighting Irishman, Finlay, will take on Adam Pearce in what should be an interesting battle of experience versus youthfulness. Tonight will be the first meeting on SmackDown! between these two, and should provide great entertainment as both men strive to pick up the all-important victory, knowing how important a win can be on the ladder to success here on SmackDown! Finlay lost to the “All American American” Jack Swagger last week on SmackDown! so will be hoping for more success tonight against Pearce, who has lost to JTG for the past three weeks in a row.

God versus Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre was unable to win the SmackDown! Money in the Bank ladder match last Sunday at the WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View as Dolph Ziggler defeated McIntyre, the WWE Intercontinental Champion “Dashing” Cody Rhodes, one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions Kofi Kingston, Ezekiel Jackson and Christian to become Mr. Money in the Bank. The RAW Money in the Bank ladder match, meanwhile, was won by Daniel Bryan as he defeated the other half of the WWE Tag Team Champions Evan Bourne, John Cena, William Regal, as well as David Otunga and Michael McGuillicutty of the New Nexus to win the match. Tonight on Friday Night SmackDown! McIntyre will look to bounce back as he faces the mysterious God. We learned Monday on RAW that John Morrison will defend his United States Championship at Summerslam in a Triple Threat match against Daniel Bryan and Primo, and that Bourne and Kingston will defend their WWE Tag Team Championships against Otunga and McGuillicutty, and it’s more than obvious that Drew McIntyre would love a shot at the Intercontinental title at Summerslam, so a big victory tonight could push him in the right direction. This will be the first time that God and McIntyre have faced one another on SmackDown!

Kelly Kelly, Kaitlyn & Rosa Mendes vs. Layla, Michelle McCool & Vickie Guerrero

Last Sunday at the WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View Beth Phoenix defeated Kelly Kelly as well as Monday Night RAW’s Natalya and Maryse in a Fatal Four-Way bout to successfully retain her WWE Divas Championship, and tonight on Friday Night SmackDown! Kelly will look to build momentum as she has to start at the bottom if she wants to earn another title shot as she teams with Kaitlyn and Rosa Mendes in Six-Diva tag team action to take on the team of Layla, Michelle McCool and Vickie Guerrero. We also learned Monday on RAW that at Summerslam Natalya and Maryse will once again challenge Beth for the Divas title in a Triple Threat match.

Also tonight on Friday Night SmackDown! we will hear from the WWE Intercontinental Champion “Dashing” Cody Rhodes as well as Ezekiel Jackson, two men who competed in the SmackDown! Money in the Bank ladder match last Sunday at the WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View, a match that was won by Dolph Ziggler as he beat Rhodes, Jackson, one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions Kofi Kingston, Drew McIntyre and Christian to become SmackDown!’s Mr. Money in the Bank. The RAW Money in the Bank ladder match was won by Daniel Bryan as he defeated the other half of the WWE Tag Team Champions Evan Bourne, New Nexus members David Otunga and Michael McGuillicutty, John Cena and William Regal. Bryan will now join Primo in challenging John Morrison for the United States Championship in a Triple Threat match at Summerslam after Morrison beat Primo in a singles match to retain the title on Sunday. We also learned Monday on RAW that Bourne and Kingston will defend the WWE Tag Team Championships at Summerslam against Otunga and McGuillicutty.

Quick Picks:

Non-Title: World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio versus The Big Show

Kane versus The Undertaker

JTG versus Jack Swagger

Finlay versus Adam Pearce

God versus Drew McIntyre

Kelly Kelly, Kaitlyn & Rosa Mendes vs. Layla, Michelle McCool & Vickie Guerrero

In an extremely poor match, Chris Masters defeated Joey Mercury in 18:01 by submission with a Masterlock.

Money in the Bank ladder match last Sunday at the WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View, with Dolph Ziggler defeating Rhodes, one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions Kofi Kingston, Ezekiel Jackson, Christian and Drew McIntyre to become Mr. SmackDown! Money in the Bank. Rhodes says that Ziggler is at least more talented than the winner of the RAW Money in the Bank ladder match, as Daniel Bryan defeated the other half of the WWE Tag Team Champions Evan Bourne, John Cena, William Regal as well as New Nexus members David Otunga and Michael McGuillicutty to become Mr. RAW Money in the Bank. Rhodes says that he wants to know who he’s defending his title against at Summerslam, as he knows that John Morrison will be defending his United States Championship in a Triple Threat match against Primo, who he beat to retain the title at Money in the Bank, and Daniel Bryan in a Triple Threat match, and that Evan Bourne and Kofi Kingston already know that they’re defending their WWE Tag Team Championships against David Otunga and Michael McGuillicutty. Ezekiel Jackson then comes to the ring and announces that at Summerslam Rhodes will defend his Intercontinental title in a Triple Threat match against Jackson and SmackDown!’s Money in the Bank winner, Dolph Ziggler.

Money in the Bank ladder match as Dolph Ziggler beat Kingston, the WWE Intercontinental Champion “Dashing” Cody Rhodes, Ezekiel Jackson, Christian and Drew McIntyre. Kingston also says that it’s a shame his tag team partner, the other half of the WWE Tag Team Champions Evan Bourne, was also unable to win the RAW Money in the Bank ladder match as Daniel Bryan defeated Bourne, John Cena, William Regal as well as New Nexus members David Otunga and Michael McGuillicutty to become Mr. RAW Money in the Bank. Kingston says that at Summerslam he and Bourne will defeat Otunga and McGuillicutty to successfully retain their WWE Tag Team Championships. Dolph Ziggler then rushes to the ring and strikes Kingston in the skull with his Money in the Bank briefcase, before picking up the microphone and promising that he will become the new Intercontinental Champion at Summerslam.

Rating: B-

Big Show comes to the ring and says that he is angry at himself for failing to win the World Heavyweight Championship last Sunday at the WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View as Alberto Del Rio beat Big Show to retain his title, but says that he will defeat Del Rio in tonight’s non-title Friday Night SmackDown! main event. Big Show then calls Edge to the ring, and Edge soon joins Big Show in the centre of the ring. Big Show congratulates Edge for his victory over Jack Swagger at Money in the Bank and wishes him the best of luck when he challenges Del Rio for the World title at Summerslam. http://assets.huluim.com/shows/key_art_wwe_monday_night_raw.jpg

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Monday Night RAW:

WWE Champion The Miz & US Champion John Morrison versus Sheamus & Primo

At Summerslam The Miz will defend his WWE Championship in a Triple Threat match against both Sheamus and Mark Henry whilst John Morrison will put his United States Championship on the line against Primo and RAW’s Money in the Bank winner Daniel Bryan in another Triple Threat match. First, however, Miz must team with his former regular tag team partner John Morrison in tonight’s tag team main event on Monday Night RAW to take on the team of the Celtic Warrior Sheamus and Primo. Last week on RAW The Miz defeated Primo in the main event, and he will be hoping for more success tonight as he teams with Morrison.

John Cena versus Tyson Kidd

Tonight on Monday Night RAW the former WWE Champion John Cena will go one on one with the last graduate of the famed Hart Family submission dungeon Tyson Kidd for the very first time. Cena hasn’t had much success as of late, and last won a match back in May on an edition of Monday Night RAW when he defeated Ted DiBiase. Last week on RAW Cena found himself on the losing side of things as he lost to the Long Island Iced Z Zack Ryder, and will be looking for a better performance tonight against Kidd.

Triple H versus Husky Harris

Triple H will take on New Nexus member Husky Harris tonight on Monday Night RAW in another match that has never taken place before. Last week on RAW The Game was victorious against another New Nexus member, Heath Slater, after Slater and his fellow New Nexus member Justin Gabriel defeated Triple H and David Hart Smith in tag team action at the WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View. Hunter’s loss to Gabriel and Slater at Money in the Bank was his only loss this year and he will be hoping to turn things around with another all-important victory tonight against Harris.

R-Truth versus Justin Gabriel

R-Truth and New Nexus member Justin Gabriel have faced off three times previously on Monday Night RAW, once in February, once in April, and once last week on RAW. R-Truth has thus far picked up the all-important victory in all three occasions, and Gabriel will be hoping he can get his first win over the unpredictable R-Truth tonight on RAW. These two men were also both involved in the Battle Royal prior to this year’s Wrestlemania, which was won by the mysterious God of Friday Night SmackDown!

Santino Marella versus Zack Ryder

Both Santino Marella and Zack Ryder were also both involved in the Battle Royal before this year’s Wrestlemania, which was eventually won by the mysterious God of Friday Night SmackDown!, and tonight on Monday Night RAW they will face each other one on one for the very first time on television. Long Island Iced Z Zack Ryder has been on a roll as of late and last week picked up perhaps the victory of his career when he defeated the former multiple time WWE Champion John Cena. In fact, Ryder has won all of his matches on Monday Night RAW so far this year, but can he pick up another win against the crafty Santino Marella?

Eve versus Melina

Last week on Monday Night RAW Eve was able to defeat Melina for the first time this year in singles competition after Melina recorded victories over Eve twice on episodes of Monday Night RAW in January. Tonight on RAW these two will face one another one last time, and one would imagine that Eve currently has the momentum on her side following her victory last week as well as her tag team win over Melina back in April on RAW as Eve teamed up with Gail Kim to take on and defeat the team of Melina and Alicia Fox.

Also tonight on Monday Night RAW we will hear from the WWE Champion The Miz before he teams up with the United States Champion John Morrison in tonight’s tag team main event to face the team of Sheamus and Primo. Miz will likely discuss his upcoming title defence at Summerslam as he must defend his WWE title against both Sheamus and Mark Henry in a Triple Threat match. Morrison will also be defending the US title at Summerslam in another Triple Threat match against both Primo and RAW’s Money in the Bank winner Daniel Bryan.

We will also be hearing from the World’s Strongest Man Mark Henry tonight on Monday Night RAW as he prepares to join Sheamus in challenging The Miz for the WWE Championship at Summerslam in a Triple Threat match. Henry will likely be watching tonight’s tag team main event very closely as Miz teams with the United States Champion John Morrison to take on the team of Sheamus and Primo. Morrison will also be putting his title on the line at Summerslam in a Triple Threat match, defending against Primo as well as RAW’s Money in the Bank winner Daniel Bryan.

Speaking of which, we will also hear from RAW’s Mr. Money in the Bank Daniel Bryan tonight on Monday Night RAW as he prepares to join Primo in challenging John Morrison for the United States Championship in a Triple Threat match at Summerslam. Bryan will also be likely watching tonight’s tag team main event with interest as Morrison teams with the WWE Champion The Miz to take on the team of Sheamus and Primo. Miz will defend his WWE title at Summerslam in a Triple Threat match against Sheamus and Mark Henry.

Quick Picks:

WWE Champion The Miz & US Champion John Morrison vs. Sheamus & Primo

John Cena versus Tyson Kidd

Triple H versus Husky Harris

R-Truth versus Justin Gabriel

Santino Marella versus Zack Ryder

Eve versus Melina

Otunga then picks up the microphone and promises that at Summerslam he and Michael McGuillicutty will once again bring the WWE Tag Team Championships back to the New Nexus, and that Kingston can’t help Bourne tonight because he’s a member of Friday Night SmackDown!

Rating: B+

Michael McGuillicutty of the New Nexus comes to join his fellow New Nexus member and tag team partner David Otunga in the ring and shakes hands with Otunga, impressed with his work in taking out one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions Evan Bourne, who remains prone in the centre of the ring. McGuillicutty reiterates that at Summerslam he and Otunga will defeat Evan Bourne and Kofi Kingston to once again become the new WWE Tag Team Champions. The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown!:

Non-Title: World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio versus Ezekiel Jackson

At Summerslam Alberto Del Rio will put his World Heavyweight Championship on the line against the “Rated R Superstar” Edge whilst Ezekiel Jackson will join the SmackDown! Money in the Bank winner Dolph Ziggler in challenging “Dashing” Cody Rhodes for the WWE Intercontinental Championship in a Triple Threat match. First though, tonight on Friday Night SmackDown! Del Rio must face Jackson in the evening’s non-title main event. These two have faced off twice before in singles action on SmackDown!, with Del Rio getting the all-important victory on both occasions.

Big Show versus Jack Swagger

Last week on Friday Night SmackDown! Big Show lost his non-title main event match against the World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio just days after failing to win the World title at the Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View. Tonight Big Show looks to pick up a victory to set himself back in the right direction as he takes on the “All American American” Jack Swagger, who himself lost to the “Rated R Superstar” Edge at Money in the Bank. These two faced one another back at the Over the Limit Pay-Per-View in May, with Big Show picking up the victory.

Kane versus The Undertaker

Last week on Friday Night SmackDown! the Phenom The Undertaker was successful in his match against his Brother Kane, and tonight the pair will face off for the second week in a row. The Undertaker is undefeated on SmackDown! since losing a tag team match to Jack Swagger and “Dashing” Cody Rhodes back in February, when Edge was his tag team partner. Before last week’s loss to his brother, Kane had also been on a decent run having defeated the Con Man Rob Conway three weeks in a row on SmackDown!

Finlay versus Drew McIntyre

The “Fighting Irishman” who just loves to fight, the veteran Finlay faces a fellow Brit tonight on Friday Night SmackDown! as he takes on the sadistic Scotsman Drew McIntyre for only the second time. Their previous meeting took place on an episode of SmackDown! back in January and saw McIntyre pick up the all-important victory on that occasion. A week after that these two both competed in the 2011 Royal Rumble match which was eventually won by the “Viper” Randy Orton. McIntyre was in action last week on SmackDown! defeating God and he’ll be hoping for another victory tonight.

Slam Master J versus Adam Pearce

Also tonight on Friday Night SmackDown! two young members of the roster will face off on SmackDown! for the very first time as the energetic and hilarious Slam Master J takes on newcomer Adam Pearce. Slam Master J is actually undefeated on television this year, but has only competed on television twice, and has not been in a match on SmackDown! since March when he defeated Claudio Castagnoli just twenty-four hours after beating him on the now defunct WWE Superstars. Adam Pearce, on the other hand, has had all three of his victories on the WWE over the mysterious God, and lost to Finlay last week on SmackDown!

Kelly Kelly, Kaitlyn & Rosa Mendes vs. Layla, Michelle McCool & Vickie Guerrero

Last week on Friday Night SmackDown! Kelly Kelly teamed up with Kaitlyn and Rosa Mendes in six Diva tag team action to take on the team of Layla, Michelle McCool and Vickie Guerrero, and Kelly’s team managed to pick up the all-important victory. Tonight these two teams will face off once again, and how will Beth Phoenix, the WWE Divas Champion, feel watching this match following the assault last week at the hands of Team Lay-Cool and Vickie Guerrero? At Summerslam Beth Phoenix will put her Divas title on the line in a Triple Threat match against Natalya and Maryse.

Also tonight on Friday Night SmackDown! we will hear from the WWE Intercontinental Champion “Dashing” Cody Rhodes as well as Ezekiel Jackson as they prepare for the Intercontinental title bout at Summerslam when Rhodes will defend the title in a Triple Threat bout against Jackson as well as SmackDown!’s Money in the Bank winner Dolph Ziggler. Jackson will also be in action in tonight’s non-title main event as he faces the World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio, who will put his World title on the line against Edge at Summerslam. What will Rhodes and Jackson have to say?

Speaking of the World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio, we will also hear from him tonight on Friday Night SmackDown! before he faces Ezekiel Jackson in the evening’s non-title main event. Del Rio’s opponent when he defends the World title at Summerslam, the “Rated R Superstar” Edge will also be present tonight. Jackson will have a big test against Del Rio tonight before he joins SmackDown!’s Money in the Bank winner Dolph Ziggler in challenging for “Dashing” Cody Rhodes’ WWE Intercontinental Championship in a Triple Threat match at Summerslam. What will Del Rio and Edge have to say to one another tonight?

Finally, we will also hear from one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, Kofi Kingston, tonight on Friday Night SmackDown! before he and Evan Bourne put their WWE Tag Team Championships on the line against David Otunga and Michael McGuillicutty of the New Nexus at Summerslam. Dolph Ziggler, SmackDown!’s Money in the Bank winner, will also be on SmackDown! tonight before he joins Ezekiel Jackson in challenging “Dashing” Cody Rhodes for the WWE Intercontinental Championship at Summerslam. Ziggler will likely have an interest in tonight’s main event as Jackson takes on the World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio in non-title action.

Big Show versus Jack Swagger

Kane versus The Undertaker

WWE Friday Night SmackDown! (Live from the MX Arena Emiliano Zapata, 1,988 in Attendance)

Pre-Show: God versus Rob Conway

In a match that had some good action and average heat, God defeated Rob Conway in 17:44 by pinfall with a God's Last Gift. This was an important victory for God after a recent run of defeats, and he is now moving in a positive direction.

Match Rating: C

Friday Night SmackDown! begins with the WWE Intercontinental Champion “Dashing” Cody Rhodes making his way to the ring. Rhodes says that at Summerslam he will defeat both Ezekiel Jackson as well as SmackDown!’s Money in the Bank winner Dolph Ziggler in a Triple Threat match to successfully retain his Intercontinental title. Ezekiel Jackson then joins Rhodes in the ring and says that not only will he win the Intercontinental title at Summerslam, but he will defeat the World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio in tonight’s non-title main event. Jackson also says that he believes Edge will defeat Del Rio at Summerslam to become the new World Heavyweight Champion. Rhodes tells Jackson that he will be watching tonight’s main event very closely and expects Del Rio to severely weaken Jackson, and defeat him just as he has done before, then at Summerslam Rhodes will only have to worry about Dolph Ziggler because Jackson will be a broken man, and Rhodes will retain his Intercontinental Championship once again.

Rating: D-

The World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio then comes to the ring, joining Rhodes and Jackson. Del Rio firstly shakes hands with “Dashing” Cody Rhodes and wishes him the best of luck when he puts his title on the line in a Triple Threat match at Summerslam against Ezekiel Jackson and SmackDown!’s Money in the Bank winner Dolph Ziggler. Del Rio then tells Jackson that he will beat him in tonight’s Friday Night SmackDown! non-title main event and that he will beat Edge at Summerslam to retain his World title. Edge then comes to the ring and promises that he will leave Summerslam as the new World Heavyweight Champion.

Rating: B

One half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, Kofi Kingston, comes to the ring. Kingston says that he is pleased to be a member of the Friday Night SmackDown! roster, but his partner Evan Bourne is on RAW. Kingston says that although they are on different brands he and Bourne will defeat David Otunga and Michael McGuillicutty of the New Nexus at Summerslam to retain their WWE Tag Team Championships. Dolph Ziggler then comes to the ring and says the only thing that will matter at Summerslam is him defeating the WWE Intercontinental Champion “Dashing” Cody Rhodes and Ezekiel Jackson in the Triple Threat match to become the new Intercontinental Champion, just as he is already SmackDown!’s Mr. Money in the Bank. Ziggler says that he will be watching tonight’s non-title main event very closely as Jackson takes on the World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio, and believes that Del Rio will beat Edge to retain his World title at Summerslam. Ziggler then hits Kingston in the skull with his Money in the Bank briefcase.

Rating: C-

The WWE Divas Champion Beth Phoenix comes to the ring and says that at Summerslam she will defeat Natalya and Maryse in the Triple Threat match to retain her Divas title. Before Beth can say anything else, however, Layla, Michelle McCool and Vickie Guerrero rush to the ring and attack Beth. All three Divas stomp on the Divas Champion, before Vickie picks up the microphone and says that they will continue to prove their dominance next on Friday Night SmackDown! when they defeat Kelly Kelly, Kaitlyn and Rosa Mendes in Six Diva tag team action.

Rating: D-
