The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown!:

World Heavyweight Champion Big Show and Kane versus Drew McIntyre and JTG

At the upcoming WWE Elimination Chamber Pay-Per-View Big Show will put his World Heavyweight Championship on the line for the first time in an Elimination Chamber match also featuring Kane, Edge, Drew McIntyre, JTG and Kane’s brother, the Undertaker. Before that, however, Big Show will team with Kane in tonight’s Friday Night SmackDown! tag team main event to take on the team of Drew McIntyre and JTG. Tonight will be the very first time that this particular tag team match has ever taken place although these two teams have previously faced off at last year’s WWE Survivor Series Pay-Per-View back in November when Big Show and Kane joined Edge and Finlay on Randy Orton’s team in a losing effort to SmackDown!’s Money in the Bank winner Dolph Ziggler and his team of “Dashing” Cody Rhodes, Jack Swagger, Drew McIntyre and JTG in a Traditional Survivor Series Elimination match.

Non-Title: IC Champion Jack Swagger vs. Tag Team Champion Kofi Kingston

The new WWE Intercontinental Champion Jack Swagger will also be in action tonight as he will take on one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions Kofi Kingston in non-title competition. Last week on Friday Night SmackDown! Swagger defeated Kingston as well as the former WWE Intercontinental Champion “Dashing” Cody Rhodes in a Triple Threat match to become the new Intercontinental Champion and will make his first title defence at the upcoming WWE Elimination Chamber Pay-Per-View when he will put his title on the line in another Triple Threat match, against both Finlay as well as SmackDown!’s Money in the Bank winner Dolph Ziggler. Kingston will also be in action at the Elimination Chamber Pay-Per-View as he and Evan Bourne will defend their WWE Tag Team Championships against the team of Epico and Darren Young. Tonight will be the very first time that Kingston and Swagger have ever faced each other one on one however Kingston does hold two tag team victories over Swagger as back in January of last year Kingston teamed with Edge to defeat the team of Swagger and Wade Barrett whilst last February on another episode of SmackDown! Kingston teamed with Randy Orton to defeat the team of Swagger and Cody Rhodes.

Ezekiel Jackson versus “Dashing” Cody Rhodes

The now former WWE Intercontinental Champion “Dashing” Cody Rhodes will also be in action tonight on Friday Night SmackDown! as he takes on the “Personification of Domination” Ezekiel Jackson. Rhodes and Jackson have plenty of history as they had a storied rivalry last year which began with Rhodes defeating Jackson on an episode of SmackDown! back in January. Rhodes and Jackson also both competed in last year’s Royal Rumble match, which was ultimately won by the “Viper” Randy Orton. The next meeting between the pair was in tag team action on a main event of SmackDown! last May as Rhodes teamed with Alberto Del Rio to defeat the team of Jackson and Randy Orton. Also last May, at the WWE Over the Limit Pay-Per-View, Jackson lost to Rhodes again and in the process Rhodes became the new Intercontinental Champion. Rhodes then went on to retain his title in a Fatal Four-Way match at the WWE Fatal Four-Way Pay-Per-View last June against Jackson, Christian and the current SmackDown! Money in the Bank winner Dolph Ziggler. Last July Rhodes then defeated Jackson in tag team action again on SmackDown! as Rhodes teamed with Del Rio to defeat the team of Jackson and the current World Heavyweight Champion, Big Show. Also last July the pair met again in the SmackDown! Money in the Bank ladder match at the WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View as Ziggler defeated Jackson, Rhodes, one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions Kofi Kingston, Drew McIntyre and Christian. Last August Rhodes again defeated Jackson in tag team action on SmackDown! as Rhodes and Del Rio defeated the team of Jackson and Edge. At last August’s WWE Summerslam Pay-Per-View Rhodes beat both Jackson and Ziggler in a Triple Threat match to retain his Intercontinental title before beating Jackson and Ziggler in another Triple Threat match at September’s Night of Champions Pay-Per-View to once again retain his title. At last October’s Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View Rhodes once again defeated Ziggler and Jackson in a Triple Threat match to retain his Intercontinental title and most recently the pair both competed in this year’s Royal Rumble match. Can Jackson finally get a victory over Rhodes tonight?

The following contests are confirmed to take place at tonight’s WWE Elimination Chamber Pay-Per-View:

EC Match: World Title: Big Show © v Kane v Edge v Undertaker v McIntyre v JTG

Last month at the WWE Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View Big Show defeated former World Heavyweight Champion the Undertaker as well as the Undertaker’s brother Kane in a Triple Threat match to become the new World Heavyweight Champion. Tonight Big Show will make his first title defence inside the unforgiving Elimination Chamber against Kane, Edge, the Undertaker, Drew McIntyre and JTG. Edge, Kane and the Undertaker have all held the World Heavyweight Championship before but for Drew McIntyre and JTG a win tonight would make them World Heavyweight Champion for the very first time.

WWE Championship: The Miz © vs. Mark Henry vs. Ted DiBiase

Last June in the main event of an episode of Monday Night RAW the Miz defeated former New Nexus Leader CM Punk in a “Loser Leaves WWE” match to become WWE Champion for the third time and has since then gone on to make eight successful title defences. Tonight Miz will put the WWE Championship on the line for the ninth time as he takes on both Mark Henry as well as Ted DiBiase in a Triple Threat match. This is a rematch from last month’s WWE Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View when Miz defeated both Henry as well as DiBiase in a Triple Threat match to retain his title. Miz also holds two tag team victories over Henry and DiBiase as he teamed with the current WWE United States Champion John Morrison to defeat Henry and DiBiase in a main event of RAW last month in January and also teamed with RAW’s Money in the Bank winner Daniel Bryan on another RAW main event in January to defeat Henry and DiBiase again.

EC Match: Alex Riley vs. Regal vs. Kozlov vs. McGuillicutty vs. Slater vs. Gabriel

Monday Night RAW’s Elimination Chamber match tonight will see six men compete for the chance to challenge the WWE Champion, currently the Miz heading into tonight’s Pay-Per-View, for the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania. Alex Riley, William Regal and Vladimir Kozlov will join New Nexus members Heath Slater, Justin Gabriel and Michael McGuillicutty in the Elimination Chamber with the winner going on to challenge for the prestigious WWE Championship at Wrestlemania. All six of these individuals took part in last month’s 30 Man Royal Rumble match, ultimately won by Sheamus, and tonight will be their second chance to head into Wrestlemania to challenge for a World Championship.

US Championship: John Morrison © vs. Mr. MITB Daniel Bryan vs. Zack Ryder

Last month at the WWE Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View John Morrison defeated former WWE United States Champion Zack Ryder as well as Monday Night RAW’s Money in the Bank winner Daniel Bryan in a Triple Threat match to become the new WWE United States Champion for the second time, and tonight will make his first title defence as he again must face both Bryan as well as Ryder in a Triple Threat match. Other than last month, this particular match has also taken place at one other time as Ryder defeated then current Champion Morrison as well as Bryan in a Triple Threat match at the Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View in October of last year to win the US title. Morrison was also a member of Daniel Bryan’s team at the Survivor Series Pay-Per-View last year as they won a Traditional Survivor Series match against a team led by Zack Ryder.

Intercontinental Title: Jack Swagger © vs. Mr. MITB Dolph Ziggler vs. Finlay

Just a few weeks ago on Friday Night SmackDown! Jack Swagger defeated former Intercontinental Champion “Dashing” Cody Rhodes as well as one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, Kofi Kingston, in a Triple Threat match to become the new Intercontinental Champion for the very first time. Since defeating David Otunga and Michael McGuillicutty back at the Over the Limit Pay-Per-View last May to become the WWE Tag Team Champions, Evan Bourne and Kofi Kingston have made eight successful title defences. Tonight Bourne and Kingston will put their titles on the line for the ninth time against the team of Epico and Darren Young. This is a rematch from last month’s WWE Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View when Bourne and Kingston defeated Epico and Young to retain their titles, and Epico and Young will be hoping for more success in their second shot at Championship gold tonight.

2012 Royal Rumble Winner Sheamus versus Rob Conway

Last month at the WWE Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View Sheamus defeated twenty-nine other Superstars from both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown! to win the 30 Man Royal Rumble match and then chose to move to SmackDown! and will therefore challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestlemania. Before that, however, Sheamus must first face Rob Conway in singles action tonight.

WWE Divas Championship: Beth Phoenix © versus Maryse

Last June at the WWE Fatal Four-Way Pay-Per-View Beth Phoenix defeated former Champion Kelly Kelly as well as Maryse and Natalya to become the new Divas Champion and has since then gone on to make six successful title defences. Tonight Beth will put her title on the line for the seventh time as she takes on the challenge of Maryse.

Pre-Show: David Hart Smith versus Ted DiBiase

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Ted DiBiase defeated David Hart Smith in 17:43 by pinfall with a Dream Street.

Match Rating: B-

Monday Night RAW begins with RAW’s Money in the Bank winner, Daniel Bryan, making his way to the ring. Bryan claims that he is the best wrestler in the world and that at Wrestlemania he will defeat the WWE United States Champion John Morrison to become the new United States Champion once again. Bryan says that he may even also cash his Money in the Bank briefcase in at Wrestlemania following the conclusion of the WWE Championship match when the Miz puts his WWE Championship on the line against New Nexus member Michael McGuillicutty. Bryan says that it would therefore not be unlikely that he will leave Wrestlemania as both the US Champion and the WWE Champion.

Rating: B-

The WWE Champion the Miz comes to the ring and proclaims that at Wrestlemania he will defeat New Nexus member Michael McGuillicutty to successfully retain his WWE Championship. Miz also says that he will defeat Epico in tonight’s non-title Monday Night RAW main event, and that he also hopes one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, Evan Bourne, defeats Darren Young in their match tonight. Miz says that he hopes Bourne and Kofi Kingston are able to defeat Epico and Young at Wrestlemania to successfully retain their WWE Tag Team Championships. The WWE United States Champion John Morrison comes to the ring to join the WWE Champion, the Miz. The two former tag team partners shake hands as Miz hands Morrison the microphone. Morrison also says that Miz will defeat Epico in tonight’s non-title main event just as Miz and Morrison defeated the team of Epico and Darren Young in last week’s tag team main event. Morrison also says that he thinks one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, Evan Bourne, will defeat Darren Young in their match tonight and that Bourne and Kofi Kingston will defeat Epico and Young at Wrestlemania to retain their WWE Tag Team Championships.

Sheamus says that he hopes Ezekiel Jackson is able to defeat Swagger in their match at Wrestlemania to become the new Intercontinental Champion. Cody Deaner then comes to the entrance-way with a microphone in hand and announces that he will be the one challenging Big Show for the World title in tonight’s main event.
