(Gerald Brisco feels that the fans have become a little bored with Kane, and that perhaps a turn or a gimmick change would freshen him up and give him a boost.)

Friday Night SmackDown! begins with the WWE Intercontinental Champion Ezekiel Jackson making his way to the ring. Jackson says that at the upcoming WWE Extreme Rules Pay-Per-View he will defeat Jack Swagger, Kane and Edge in their Fatal Four-Way match to successfully retain his Intercontinental Championship. Jackson also says that he believes that the World Heavyweight Champion, Sheamus, will be able to defeat Big Show in their Steel Cage match at the Extreme Rules Pay-Per-View to make the first successful defence of his World Heavyweight Championship. Jackson finally says that he looks forward to teaming with Sheamus in tonight’s tag team main event to take on the team of Big Show and Jack Swagger. Before Jackson can say anything else, Jack Swagger then rushes to the ring and hits Jackson with a big boot to the side of the skull.

Jack Swagger stands over the fallen WWE Intercontinental Champion Ezekiel Jackson and picks up the microphone. Swagger declares that at the upcoming WWE Extreme Rules Pay-Per-View he will defeat Jackson, Kane and Edge in their Fatal Four-Way match to become the new WWE Intercontinental Champion once again. Swagger also says that he and Big Show will be victorious in tonight’s Friday Night SmackDown! tag team main event when they team up to take on the team of the World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus and his partner, the Intercontinental Champion Ezekiel Jackson. Big Show then joins Swagger in the ring and he kicks the seemingly unconscious Swagger out of the ring to the ringside area. Big Show shakes hands with Swagger before Swagger passes him the microphone and Big Show promises that at the upcoming WWE Extreme Rules Pay-Per-View he will defeat Sheamus in their Steel Cage match to win back the World Heavyweight Championship he lost to Sheamus in the main event of Wrestlemania. Sheamus then comes to the ring and tells Big Show that he’ll beat him in their Cage match at Extreme Rules, before Sheamus takes Jackson from the ringside area and helps him to the back. Big Show then once again shakes hands with Swagger before he too heads to the back to prepare for tonight's tag team main event.

Swagger promises that he and Big Show will win tonight’s Friday Night SmackDown! tag team main event against the team of Sheamus and Jackson before Kane joins him in the ring. Kane snatches the microphone from Swagger and proclaims that he will be the one leaving Extreme Rules as the new Intercontinental Champion. The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Monday Night RAW:

Non-Title: Champ vs. Champ: WWE Champ Bryan vs. Tag Team Champ Bourne

At the upcoming WWE Extreme Rules Pay-Per-View the WWE Champion Daniel Bryan will make the first defence of his WWE Championship when he puts the title on the line against the high-flying daredevil known as Rey Mysterio in a Falls Count Anywhere match. Evan Bourne will also be in action at the WWE Extreme Rules Pay-Per-View this Sunday when he and his tag team partner from Friday Night SmackDown!, Kofi Kingston, will defend their WWE Tag Team Championships in a Triple Threat tag team match against the team of Epico and Darren Young as well as the New Nexus pairing of Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel. Before Extreme Rules this Sunday, however, the WWE Champion Daniel Bryan must first take on one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, Evan Bourne, in tonight’s Monday Night RAW non-title “Champion versus Champion” main event. Elsewhere tonight on RAW, Epico and Darren Young will be in tag team action as they will take on the dynamic team of the WWE United States Champion John Morrison and his tag team partner for the evening, the Number One Contender to the WWE Championship this Sunday, Rey Mysterio. Morrison will also be defending his WWE United States Championship this Sunday at the WWE Extreme Rules Pay-Per-View in a First Blood match against “Long Island Iced Z” Zack Ryder. Tonight will be the second time that Bourne and Bryan have faced one another on RAW as Bryan defeated Bourne on an episode of RAW back in February. Bourne was also involved in the Money in the Bank ladder match last July as Bryan defeated Bourne, John Cena, William Regal, David Otunga as well as Michael McGuillicutty of the New Nexus to become RAW’s “Mr. Money in the Bank”. Bryan would then of course hold the Money in the Bank briefcase all the way up until Wrestlemania just a few weeks ago when he cashed in his briefcase and defeated the Miz to become the new WWE Champion for the very first time just after the Miz defeated McGuillicutty to retain his WWE Championship. Things have gone very sour for the Miz since then as the RAW Anonymous General Manager has since terminated his contract with World Wrestling Entertainment.

United States Champion John Morrison & Rey Mysterio vs. Epico & Darren Young

This Sunday at the WWE Extreme Rules Pay-Per-View, the WWE United States Champion John Morrison will put his WWE United States Championship on the line in a First Blood match against Zack Ryder. Also at the WWE Extreme Rules Pay-Per-View this Sunday, Rey Mysterio will challenge Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship in a Falls Count Anywhere match whilst Epico and Darren Young will join the New Nexus pairing of Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel in challenging Evan Bourne and his tag team partner from Friday Night SmackDown!, Kofi Kingston, for the WWE Tag Team Championships in a Triple Threat tag team match. Before the Extreme Rules Pay-Per-View this Sunday, however, Epico and Darren Young will be in tag team action tonight on Monday Night RAW as they will take on the team of the United States Champion John Morrison and his tag team partner, the Number One Contender to Daniel Bryan’s WWE Championship this Sunday, Rey Mysterio. The WWE Champion Daniel Bryan will also be in action in tonight’s non-title “Champion versus Champion” main event when he will take on one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, Evan Bourne. Tonight will be the very first time that this particular tag team contest will ever have taken place.

“Last Chance Saloon”: If The Miz Wins He Is Rehired: Ted DiBiase versus The Miz

Two weeks ago on Monday Night RAW the Anonymous RAW General Manager terminated the Miz’s contract with World Wrestling Entertainment, in effect firing him live on RAW, after the Miz refused to challenge John Morrison for the WWE United States Championship at the WWE Extreme Rules Pay-Per-View this Sunday. Last week on RAW the Anonymous General Manager gave the Miz a chance to earn his job back as he had a match with Ted DiBiase, and it was stipulated that if the Miz defeated DiBiase last week he would return to the roster and be reinstated to the WWE. However, the Miz lost to DiBiase last week; therefore he did not win his job back. In an apparent final act of fairness tonight, the Anonymous RAW General Manager is giving the Miz one final chance at redemption, and if he is able to defeat DiBiase tonight he will win his job back. However, if the Miz loses to DiBiase for the second week in a row, the Miz will receive no more chances to win back his job and he will be sat firmly in the unemployment line. Prior to last week’s loss to DiBiase, the Miz had previously defeated him on three separate occasions on RAW last year.

Triple H versus Husky Harris

Finally, the “Game” Triple H will be in action tonight on Monday Night RAW as he will take on Husky Harris of the New Nexus. Triple H and Husky Harris have faced one another on RAW on three separate occasions prior to tonight’s match, with the “Cerebral Assassin” Triple H picking up the all-important victory on all three previous occasions as he defeated Harris two weeks in a row on RAW last August as well as defeating him on an episode of RAW last December. Triple H lost a tag team match last week on RAW as he teamed with David Hart Smith in a losing effort to Epico and Darren Young so will be hoping to bounce back with a victory in singles competition tonight.

Quick Picks:

Non-Title: Champ vs. Champ: WWE Champ Bryan vs. Tag Team Champ Bourne

United States Champion John Morrison & Rey Mysterio vs. Epico & Darren Young

“Last Chance Saloon”: If The Miz Wins He Is Rehired: Ted DiBiase versus The Miz

Triple H versus Husky Harris

Bryan also says that he will be watching tonight’s tag team bout between the team of Epico and Young and their opponents, the WWE United States Champion John Morrison as well as the Number One Contender to Bryan’s WWE Championship this Sunday, Rey Mysterio. The Anonymous RAW General Manager then sends an email to Michael Cole announcing that the Miz will have a final chance to get his job back tonight when he faces Ted DiBiase once again. At Wrestlemania the Miz successfully defended his WWE Championship in his scheduled title defence against Michael McGuillicutty of the New Nexus, only for RAW’s Money in the Bank winner Daniel Bryan to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase immediately following the Miz’s victory. Daniel Bryan went onto defeat the Miz to become the new WWE Champion for the very first time, and tonight he will make his first title defence as he takes on Rey Mysterio in a Falls Count Anywhere match. Bryan and Mysterio have never previously faced one another in singles action, although Daniel Bryan does hold a tag team victory over Mysterio as two weeks ago in a tag team main event of RAW Daniel Bryan teamed with Zack Ryder to defeat the team of Rey Mysterio and his partner, the WWE United States Champion John Morrison.

Later that night, Sheamus defeated twenty-nine other Superstars from both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown! to win the 2012 Royal Rumble match. Sheamus then chose to move to SmackDown! to challenge for the World title in the main event of Wrestlemania. Tonight, Big Show will receive his contractually obligated rematch for the World title as he challenges Sheamus in a Steel Cage match. Sheamus is undefeated against Big Show as not only did he defeat him at Wrestlemania, but he also holds two tag team victories over Big Show as in recent SmackDown! main events Sheamus has teamed with both the WWE Intercontinental Champion Ezekiel Jackson on one occasion as well as Edge in another occasion to defeat the team of Big Show and Jack Swagger.

WWE Tag Team Championships: AirBOOM! © vs. Epico & Young vs. Slater & Gabriel

Evan Bourne and Kofi Kingston, collectively known as AirBOOM!, are the longest reigning current Champions in the WWE as they have held their WWE Tag Team Championships for an incredible eleven months since defeating the New Nexus team of David Otunga and Michael McGuillicutty to win the titles back in last May at the WWE Over the Limit Pay-Per-View. Since then, Bourne and Kingston have gone on to make ten successful title defences and tonight they will put their titles on the line for the eleventh time as they take on the team of Epico and Darren Young as well as the New Nexus pairing of Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel in an Elimination Triple Threat tag team match. Tonight Morrison will look to make his third successful title defence as he takes on Zack Ryder in a First Blood match, where the first person to make their opponent bleed will win the match and leave with the United States Championship.

Monday, Week 4, April, 2012

http://assets.huluim.com/shows/key_art_wwe_monday_night_raw.jpg

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Monday Night RAW:

WWE Champ Daniel Bryan & US Champ Zack Ryder vs. Mysterio & John Morrison

Last night at the WWE Extreme Rules Pay-Per-View Daniel Bryan defeated Rey Mysterio in the evening’s Falls Count Anywhere main event to make the first successful defence of his WWE Championship. Also at the Extreme Rules Pay-Per-View last night, Zack Ryder defeated the former WWE United States Champion John Morrison in a First Blood match to become the new WWE United States Champion once again after making Morrison bleed. Despite Daniel Bryan’s victory last night, however, questions are still being asked over the legitimacy of his win after Bryan and the new United States Champion Zack Ryder stormed into the locker-room before the main event and attacked both Rey Mysterio and John Morrison just as Morrison was instilling confidence into Rey and wishing him luck before the Falls Count Anywhere main event following Morrison’s earlier loss to Ryder. Tonight on Monday Night RAW these four Superstars will face off once again in the evening’s tag team main event when the WWE Champion Daniel Bryan teams with the WWE United States Champion Zack Ryder to take on the team of Rey Mysterio and his partner, John Morrison. This particular tag team main event also took place in RAW’s main event two weeks ago, with Bryan and Ryder picking up the all-important victory on that occasion.

WWE Tag Team Champion Evan Bourne versus Justin Gabriel

One half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, Evan Bourne, will also be in action tonight on Monday Night RAW as he will take on the high-flying New Nexus member Justin Gabriel in singles competition. At the WWE Extreme Rules Pay-Per-View last night Bourne and his tag team partner from Friday Night SmackDown!, Kofi Kingston, defeated both the New Nexus pairing of Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel as well as the duo of Epico and Darren Young in a Triple Threat tag team match to successfully retain their WWE Tag Team Championships. The team of Epico and Young will also be in action tonight on RAW as they will take on the team of Triple H and Ted DiBiase. Tonight will be the first time that the high-flying Superstars Bourne and Gabriel will ever have faced one another in singles action, although they have been involved in several tag team matches together, including back at last year’s WWE Fatal Four-Way Pay-Per-View in June when Kingston and Bourne defeated Slater and Gabriel, as well as fellow New Nexus members David Otunga and Michael McGuillicutty and the dynamic duo of Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov in a Fatal Four-Way tag team match to retain their WWE Tag Team Championships. Bourne and Kingston’s only two on two tag team match against Slater and Gabriel, in which another team was not involved, came at last year’s WWE Tables, Ladders & Chairs Pay-Per-View in December when Bourne and Kingston defeated Slater and Gabriel in a Ladder match to retain their WWE Tag Team Championships.

Triple H and Ted DiBiase versus Epico and Darren Young

The team of Epico and Darren Young will also be in action tonight on Monday Night RAW when they will take on the makeshift pairing of Triple H and Ted DiBiase, teaming with one another for the very first time. Epico and Young once again failed to become the new WWE Tag Team Champions at the WWE Extreme Rules Pay-Per-View last night as Evan Bourne and his tag team partner from Friday Night SmackDown!, Kofi Kingston, defeated Epico and Young as well as the New Nexus pairing of Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel in a Triple Threat tag team match to successfully retain their WWE Tag Team Championships. Tonight will be the very first time that this particular tag team contest will ever have taken place.

Alex Riley versus Husky Harris

Also tonight on Monday Night RAW Husky Harris of the New Nexus will compete in one on one competition as he will take on the “Rare Breed” Alex Riley. Riley and Harris have faced one another once before on RAW as Riley defeated Harris on an episode of RAW last year, in October. Both Riley and Harris were also both involved in the Battle Royal prior to this year’s Wrestlemania as well as the Battle Royal that was held before last year’s Wrestlemania, both of which were eventually won by the mysterious God of Friday Night SmackDown!

Vladimir Kozlov versus Michael McGuillicutty

Another New Nexus member, Michael McGuillicutty, will also be in action tonight on Monday Night RAW as the Third Generation Superstar will take on the “Moscow Muler” Vladimir Kozlov in singles action. Tonight will be the very first time that Kozlov and McGuillicutty will ever have faced each other one on one, however they were both involved in the RAW Elimination Chamber match at the Elimination Chamber Pay-Per-View in February, with McGuillicutty defeating Kozlov, William Regal, Alex Riley, as well as his fellow New Nexus members Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel to earn a shot at the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania.

Non-Title: WWE Divas Champion Maryse versus Alicia Fox

Finally, the Divas will be in action tonight on Monday Night RAW as the WWE Divas Champion Maryse will take on the feisty Alicia Fox in a non-title match. Last night at the WWE Extreme Rules Pay-Per-View Maryse defeated both Alicia as well as Friday Night SmackDown!’s Beth Phoenix in a Triple Threat match to successfully retain her Divas title, and in the last twenty-four hours rumours have been surfacing that Beth Phoenix has left the WWE following her failure to regain the Divas title last night.

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Monday Night RAW:

Non-Title: WWE Champion Daniel Bryan versus John Morrison

At Wrestlemania back in March, then Monday Night RAW’s Money in the Bank winner Daniel Bryan’s evening began with him challenging John Morrison for the WWE United States Championship. Morrison however defeated Bryan to successfully retain his title. This was not the end of Daniel Bryan’s participation at Wrestlemania; however, as following the Miz’s WWE Championship defence against the New Nexus member Michael McGuillicutty, Daniel Bryan rushed to the ring and announced that he was cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase. Daniel Bryan then defeated the Miz to become the new WWE Champion for the very first time, and went on to make his first title defence last month at the WWE Extreme Rules Pay-Per-View when he defeated Rey Mysterio in a Falls Count Anywhere match. John Morrison lost his WWE United States Championship at Extreme Rules as Zack Ryder defeated him in a First Blood match after making Morrison bleed, to become the new US Champion once again. At the upcoming WWE Over the Limit Pay-Per-View Daniel Bryan will once again put his title on the line against Rey Mysterio, this time in a Last Man Standing match, but before that he will once again take on John Morrison in tonight’s Monday Night RAW non-title main event. This will be the third ever singles meeting between Bryan and Morrison after Morrison defeated Bryan at Wrestlemania to retain his US title and Bryan then defeated Morrison in the main event of RAW the next night. Bryan also holds two tag team victories over Morrison including one from last week’s RAW main event when Bryan teamed with the US Champion Zack Ryder to defeat the team of Rey Mysterio and John Morrison.

Rey Mysterio will be challenging Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship at the Over the Limit Pay-Per-View in a Last Man Standing match. The WWE Champion Daniel Bryan will also be in action in tonight’s non-title main event when he will face John Morrison. Both Ryder and Bourne also participated in the Battle Royal prior to last year’s Wrestlemania, which was ultimately won by the mysterious God of Friday Night SmackDown! God also won the Battle Royal which took place before this year’s Wrestlemania.

Jack Swagger remains in the ring by himself, and once again tells the WWE Universe that at the upcoming WWE Extreme Rules Pay-Per-View he will defeat the WWE Intercontinental Champion Ezekiel Jackson, Kane and Edge in their Fatal Four-Way match to become the new Intercontinental Champion once again. Swagger also says that he believes Big Show will be able to defeat the World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus in their Steel Cage match at the Extreme Rules Pay-Per-View to win back his World Heavyweight Championship. Jack Swagger then hits Kane with a huge boot to the side of the skull, leaving Kane seemingly unconscious in the ring.

So, Swagger took up the entire first hour of a broadcast? I don't honestly get your dynasty, man. And I'm trying not to be a dick about this, but what exactly is the point? It would seem that you use the same exact angles for every single show, and use the same template for the paragraph you write them in. Add to that the fact that every single match is 8 minutes long. Then the fact that most of the top talent is seemingly gone. Where's Cena? I don't believe I've seen Orton, or Triple H. I think I've seen Punk, but I'm 10% on that. Then you have guys like Edge in the IC race? I mean I just don't get it. At all. Please elaborate on some of this stuff. Your basically doing the same thing time after time after time. How can you enjoy this, let alone imagine anyone else is enjoying it? I feel like this dynasty has all kinds of potential to be something even half-decent, if you'd even attempt to make it enjoyable. I just get that sense that your doing this to get that post count up, to make yourself look better. Well, it's not, bro.

Thanks for your comments, Schaedler. I'm sorry that you aren't enjoying the current WWE product. To answer some of your queries, Swagger is a former World Heavyweight Champion and was being given a lot of time on Friday Night SmackDown! leading up to the WWE Extreme Rules Pay-Per-View, when he was challenging for the Intercontinental Championship. Swagger is not currently booked in a match for the upcoming Over the Limit Pay-Per-View and therefore was only involved in one segment of last week's show, defeating Edge.

Speaking of Edge, it appears that his career is slowly coming to an end, and his performances are worsening slightly. Him being in the Intercontinental title picture helps to elevate younger Superstars such as the current Champion, Ezekiel Jackson. With that being said, he is still talented enough that he could compete in the main event scene at any time so may receive more attention later on in the year.

As for the absenses, unfortunately John Cena and CM Punk left the company to work in Japan. There may be a return for Cena somewhere down the line, and he was used sparingly during his last few months in the company. As for CM Punk, you may remember that the former New Nexus Leader lost a "Loser Leaves WWE" match last June on an episode of Monday Night RAW with the Miz defeating him to also win the WWE Championship.

Randy Orton is currently "out injured" according to the storyline and this is mentioned in several of the SmackDown! previews. In reality, Orton has attitude problems and spends the majority of his time suspended. Triple H is still very much active and competes in the most episodes of RAW.

Once again, I'm sorry that you're not enjoying the current storylines, but look out for some major developments in the upcoming months. Exciting times are ahead in the WWE Universe.

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Monday Night RAW:

Non-Title: WWE Champion Daniel Bryan versus Ted DiBiase

At the upcoming WWE Over the Limit Pay-Per-View, Daniel Bryan will put his WWE Championship on the line in a Last Man Standing match against Rey Mysterio. Ted DiBiase will also be in action at the Over the Limit Pay-Per-View as he will challenge Zack Ryder for the WWE United States Championship. Before their respective title matches at the Over the Limit Pay-Per-View, however, Daniel Bryan will take on Ted DiBiase in singles competition in tonight’s Monday Night RAW non-title main event. Zack Ryder will also be in non-title action tonight on RAW as he will take on the Number One Contender for the WWE Championship, Rey Mysterio. Tonight will be the first ever one on one match between Bryan and DiBiase although they have been opponents in tag team matches twice before as Daniel Bryan teamed with the Miz in a RAW tag team main event back in January of this year to defeat the team of Mark Henry and Ted DiBiase. Daniel Bryan and Ted DiBiase were also opponents at the WWE Survivor Series Pay-Per-View last November when then RAW’s Money in the Bank winner Daniel Bryan and his team of Triple H, John Morrison, Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov defeated the current WWE United States Champion Zack Ryder and his team of the current World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus, Ted DiBiase as well as Jimmy and Jey Uso in a Traditional Survivor Series Elimination match.

Non-Title: WWE United States Champion Zack Ryder vs. Rey Mysterio

The WWE United States Champion Zack Ryder will also be in action tonight on Monday Night RAW as he will take on Rey Mysterio in singles competition. At the upcoming WWE Over the Limit Pay-Per-View Zack Ryder will put his WWE United States Championship on the line against Ted DiBiase whilst Rey Mysterio will also be competing at the Over the Limit Pay-Per-View as he will challenge Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship in a Last Man Standing match. Ryder and Mysterio’s respective opponents at Over the Limit, the WWE Champion Daniel Bryan and Ted DiBiase, will also be in action tonight as they will face one another in the evening’s non-title main event. Tonight will be the first ever singles meeting between Ryder and Mysterio although they have recently faced one another in two tag team main events of RAW with Ryder teaming with the WWE Champion Daniel Bryan to defeat the team of Rey Mysterio and John Morrison on two different episodes of RAW last month, in April. Both Ryder and Mysterio also competed in the Battle Royal prior to this year’s Wrestlemania, which was ultimately won by the mysterious God of Friday Night SmackDown!

WWE Tag Team Champion Evan Bourne versus Mark Henry

At the upcoming WWE Over the Limit Pay-Per-View, Evan Bourne and his tag team partner from Friday Night SmackDown!, Kofi Kingston, will be putting their WWE Tag Team Championships on the line in a Triple Threat tag team match against the New Nexus pairing of Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel as well as the team of Epico and Darren Young. Before the Over the Limit Pay-Per-View, however, Evan Bourne will be in singles competition tonight on Monday Night RAW against the World’s Strongest Man, Mark Henry. Epico and Darren Young will also be competing tonight on RAW as they will take on the makeshift team of Triple H and John Morrison in tag team action. Evan Bourne and Mark Henry have faced one another just once before with Bourne defeating Henry on an episode of RAW back in February of this year. Both Bourne and Henry also participated in the Battle Royal prior to last year’s Wrestlemania, which was of course won by the mysterious God of Friday Night SmackDown!

The team of Epico and Darren Young will also be in action tonight on Monday Night RAW as they will take on the somewhat irregular pairing of Triple H and John Morrison in a tag team match. At the upcoming WWE Over the Limit Pay-Per-View, Epico and Young will join the New Nexus duo of Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel in challenging Evan Bourne and Kofi Kingston for the WWE Tag Team Championships in a Triple Threat tag team match. As a member of the Friday Night SmackDown! roster, Kofi Kingston will not be on RAW tonight but the other half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, Evan Bourne, will be in action as he will take on Mark Henry. Tonight will be the very first time that this particular tag team match will ever have taken place.
