Already standing in the ring is our WCCW World Champion, Rocky Johnson Jr. “ Rocky Johnson has got something to say to the millions of fans watching him at this very moment. Now, Rocky Johnson had a damn good 2009, he beat all challengers, he won the WCCW World Title, he proved himself as one of the best wrestlers to ever step foot in a WCCW ring. But you see, there’s a problem, Rocky Johnson did win the WCCW World title last year, but he lost it first, Rocky Johnson had to fight tooth and nail to regain his World Title, and that didn’t sit well with The Great One. So here’s what’s gonna go down in 2010, Rocky Johnson will take on any and all challengers to his Title, they will bring their candy asses down the to the ring, they will do their very best, it won’t be enough and Rocky Johnson will nail each one of them, with a Rock Bottom and will go a full twelve months as the World Heavyweight Champion....... Rocky’s party is quickly spoilt as the familiar theme of “The Next Big Thing” Brock Lesnar pipes out of the P.A and the goliath bad ass, storms his way to the ring. Lesnar bursts through and ropes and goes nose to nose with the WCCW World Champion, before snatching the microphone away from him. “ Rocky, I’m a man of few words and I prefer to let my fists do the talking, but if you honestly think that you will last a whole year as WCCW Champion when I’m the number one contender, then you are sorely mistaken and you know what, I’m going to enjoy wrestling that belt out of your cold cold hands” With that Lesnar shoved the microphone back into Rocky’s chest, and exited the ring. Winner: Terry Ray Gordy As our WCCW television champion celebrates his victory, Dustin Rhodes storms out from the back. Before Gordy can comprehend what is happening, he receives a quick sharp kick to the midsection; this was instantly followed up by Rhode’s signature “Lone Star State of Mind”. Rhodes then continued to put the boots to Gordy, before demanding a microphone. “ Did Y’all see what I just did to this poor boy? Well when I beat his sorry ass at the Von Erich Cup, and then I beat everyone else that gets put in my way, then y’all see, Y’all see just why I am the most decorated wrestler to ever lace up a pair of boots in WCCW. Kasey beats one half of the tag champs all across the ring, but Storm desperately tried to keep up, but Kasey looked on fire. Just as Kasey was looking to finish it off, Storm managed to distract the referee, this allowed Trevor Murdoch to make his presence felt, smashing Kasey in the back of the head with his tag title belt. As the referee turned back Storm made the cover...1...2...3. Winner: James Storm Kasey James lays helpless in the ring after the match is over, but things look like they’re going to get much worse. As Murdoch continues to pound away at the fallen Freebird, James Storm grabs his trademark bottle of beer. Storm takes a swig and goes to smash it straight over Kasey’s head.....but before he can manage it, he finds himself speared to the ground by the Corn-Fed Meathead Ryan Reeves, Murdoch tries to come to his tag partner’s aid but instead meets a huge lariat from Reeves. Holly and Winchester did keep in control for some time, but when Harris powered out and Cody Rhodes made it into the match, it all went downhill for the Gatekeepers, Winchester found himself hit with a Cross Rhodes and Harris prevented Bob Holly from getting involved, giving the victory to Cody and Chris. Winners: Cody Rhodes & Chris Harris ---------- A hype video plays showing archive clips of Mexican lucha libre style wrestling, all with a voiceover promising tradition and lucha libre like never seen before. It ends with the tagline “ El Hijo Del Santo: Coming Soon” ---------- Bison Smith versus Adam Pearce <a href="http://s691.photobucket.com/albums/vv271/alexrogue01/WCCW/?action=view¤t=Bison_Smith.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i691.photobucket.com/albums/vv271/alexrogue01/WCCW/Bison_Smith.jpg" border="0" alt="Bison Smith"></a> Vs <a href="http://s691.photobucket.com/albums/vv271/alexrogue01/WCCW/?action=view¤t=AdamPearce3.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i691.photobucket.com/albums/vv271/alexrogue01/WCCW/AdamPearce3.jpg" border="0" alt="Adam Pearce"></a> Smith started strongly, using his huge strength advantage to his gain, throwing Scrap Iron around the ring like a super junior. Pearce had to re-establish his game plan, and began to try to tire out the massive Bison. The tactic managed to work and Pearce used his old school tactics, to work down the left knee of Bison, with his leg seriously compromised, Bison quickly fell to Pearce’s Jumping Piledriver and was promptly pinned. Winner: Adam Pearce As Pearce goes to exit the ring, he is interrupted by a blast from the Loud Speakers, as latin music hits and none other than “Mr Texas” Shawn Hernandez makes his way out to the ramp, microphone in hand. “ Yo, Pearce, that was mighty impressive, but with no offense to Bison, at the Von Erich Cup, you’ll be dealing with a whole new class of dominance. You can use all your sneaky tactics and cheat as much as you want, but when push comes to shove, Mr Texas will steamroll through you and six other guys to win the Von Erich Cup, cos you know what they say, everything is bigger in Texas” Pearce tries to blow Texas off, but the tension is clear to see as we head toward the Von Erich Cup. ---------- A video plays that shows the legendary rivalry between Mark Callous and Steve Austin, it goes back to classic title matches ten years ago, including the first ever “Buried Alive” match for the WCCW Heavyweight Title in 1999. The bulk of the match focused on the powerful duo of Lesnar and Callous isolating Rocky Johnson from his tag partner and utilising some heavy ground and pound offense in an attempt to injure the WCCW World Champion, however as always Johnson powered out and got the hot tag to Steve Austin, who after stunning Callous came a split second from victory until Lesnar interrupted the count, with all the commotion that followed, Callous using his veteran instinct, delivered a monster chokeslam to Steve Austin, Lesnar clotheslined Johnson over the top rope and Callous made the cover for the three count.
