1987 The Extreme Revolution

In 1987 a man by the name of Bill Apter was exploring the world of wrestling and he didn’t like what he was seeing. What he saw in most wrestling promotions was heroic Superman like faces and Lex Luther like heels, he also saw that the people running these promotions looked for the bigger guys to head their companies and the fantasy like world these companies were in, he wanted to change some of these things.

 

Apter started drawing up his vision for the next breed of wrestling company, he wanted to start a wrestling revolution that has never been seen before in US wrestling or at least mainstream US wrestling. This promotion would be Extreme, Rated R , and not for the weak hearted it will be called the Extreme Wrestling Federation.

 

The roster is still unknown but the size will be Regional based in the tri state area mostly NY. The money is said to be solid as Apter has a friend who is investing who has a great movie career. The estimated start money is 1,500,000 but if that’s not enough Apter will likely just ask his friend who’s name is unknown for more money. The product is said to be a Hardcore Heavy T&A Risqué product that sponsors likely wont touch.

 

Will this type of promotion be able to make it big at this time and age? Can EWF take over the US independent scene if they can, can they go even farther to challenge JCP and WWF. Only time will tell and I’ll be here through every step of it.

EWF has bought a 2,500 seat arena in New York. It will simply be known as the EWF Arena. While details are unknown right know. It is said that EWF will start holding shows there as soon as next Tuesday. It will surely be a wrestling hotspot as soon it gets up and running.</p>
