Marisa Kirisame vs. Aya Shameimaru Aya getting the strap right off the bat after last game would be kinda ehhhh and we need a face anyway unless Ran wins AND turns. Finalist 1 vs. Finalist 2 Going with my gut here. Cirno vs. Suwako Moriya Cirno will probably RETAIN, but will she WIN? I am guessing she goes for a DQ here or some other such heel shenanigans, so the actual win is kinda a coinflip. Hong Meiling vs. Flandre Scarlet I don't think you'd have this rematch unless it was going somewhere, so I think China either gets the upset or a DQ win for brutality. Or maybe Patchy holds Flan back too much or something. Reimu Hakurei & Reisen Udongein Inaba vs. Visionary Scarlet Devil They're just more likely to be going places, and higher up the card as well. Suika Ibuki vs. Kanako Yasaka I don't expect Suika to get much of a push, but I think she can handle midcarders. Alice Margatroid vs. Eirin Yagokoro Alice is a bigger deal. Oh well, that´s life, I just hope that the other six who has to leave aren´t too important. Yukari Yakumo vs. Ran Yakumo Interesting to see where this will lead but Yakari is main eventer while RAn is a midcarder so Yukari goes to the finals here Marisa Kirisame vs. Aya Shameimaru Marisa is the only face left so she goes to finals. Yukari Yakumo vs. Marisa Kirisame Coin flip but I go with Marisa simply because Yukari was a champ in your last diary...Yeah not excatly great reasoning but better than flipping a coin, right? Cirno vs. Suwako Moriya Too early for Cirno to lose the title. Hong Meiling vs. Flandre Scarlet Considering that these two were exhausted after 17 minutes make me fear that they might be leaving too when their contracts are up. Well anyway I still go with DQ win for Meiling. Reimu Hakurei & Reisen Udongein Inaba vs. Visionary Scarlet Devil Slighly bigger names Suika Ibuki vs. Kanako Yasaka Personal preferense. Shikieiki Yamaxanadu, currently working as referee, will most likely follow her. In ZUNs eyes, one referee is enough for the promotion at the moment and her in-ring skills are not satisfiying him. Not only was she knocked out. When Mokou and Kaguya went backstage once again, Sakuya knocked Kaguya out, constrained her and lay her out in front of a car, which Mokou entered in the meantime. As Kaguya got her senses back, Mokou started the car and drove forward, leading Kaguya to scream the magic words. Still, Mokou hesitated a second, but thankfully decided to NOT drive over her. Yukari Yakumo wins the Touhou Gensokyo Championship title. Just as Alice thought, Marisa got screwed in the end, although she was able to prevent it from happening for the most part of the match. Too bad she didn’t listen. And she needs a refreshment of character. Hm, maybe there’s a connection? China and Flan were once again a little exhausted, but I think in an okay way. Meiling also needs something to freshen her character up. Geez. At least Patchouli seems to be a good manager. The semifinal had match flow problems. I’m surprised by that, since they have 55 and 60 in psychology respectively. I thought it would be enough. I gotta have Cirno and Suwako feud some time throughout this diary, gotta use their chemistry. Also, Suwako has the in-ring skills that Cirno lacks. The Suika/Kanako match was apparently too long. Maybe I gotta have more matches on the card to shorten their times. Interestingly, the main event “deserved better colour commentary”. Gotta think about that. I’m shocked about the bad rating. Is it because Ran vs. Yukari didn’t happen? That can’t be the only reason. The ratings were much better than those of Christmassacre. At least the buyrate doubled. I'm not too clued up on perfect show theory, but possibly it was due to having Suika vs Kanako (46) in the semi-main event? I think the final too are supposed to be the most important or something? Marisa Kirisame vs. Ran Yakumo Main eventer vs. midcarder usually doesn´t promise much for a midcarder and I don´t see why this would be any different. Suwako Moriya vs. Aya Shameimaru Again main eventer over midcard girl. Seek and Cave!!! vs. Visionary Scarlet Devil Sadly Seek and Cave will have some problems so they won´t win this one. Alice Margatroid vs. Tewi Inaba This one annoys me as I like Alice and don´t care about Tewi but storylines seems to be going on the direction of Alice having a losing streak. Hong Meiling vs. Eirin Yagokoro I would like to go with Eirin but Meiling needs the win after losing twice and she is higher on the ranks than Eirin who just got a surprise victory. Netherworld Dwellers vs. Flandre Scarlet & Patchouli Knowledge Aaarrggh fourth match on a row when I have to pick against who I like more. But it cannot be helped, Flandre is too much above Netherworld Dwellers plus she is showed as a monster heel and thus needs to go over two lower midcard girls. Should I try to get a tv show already? I lost quite a bit of money through that last time. I think I’ll wait a while before going on TV. Gotta get more money first. Money, money, yeah, yeah. Damn, Aya really fought hard in the negotiations. She got a payrise and a low level title promise. Details are not known yet, but Aya is an important part of the companies roster, so it will be interesting to see if she will demand a wage boost. Monday, Week 1, February 2009 Aya Shameimarus contract has been renewed, though the details are still kept secret. Underhand though, a payrise is one of the things to come out of the negotiations. Thursday, Week 1, February 2009 The February poll about who’s the “Best Young Prospect In Wrestling Today” was once again won by Reisen Udongein Inaba. Saturday, Week 1, February 2009 Kaguya Houraisan’s contract with Touhou has officially ended today. The Touhou Project wishes her good luck in her future endeavours. Cirno vs. Reisen Udongein Inaba In the battle between "too early to change" and "Cirno won't get pushed" the winner is my fanboyism. Marisa Kirisame vs. Ran Yakumo Could easily be shenanigan'd but Marisa needs momentum and Yukari is gonna have her hands full. Suwako Moriya vs. Aya Shameimaru I see no reason other than my own preference for Suwako to win here. Seek and Cave!!! vs. Visionary Scarlet Devil I expect another win or two before they start really showing problems, possibly with Mokou going a bit overboard. I could be wrong. Alice Margatroid vs. Tewi Inaba I figured an upset was unlikely, but maybe Alice is one of the folks leaving. Hong Meiling vs. Eirin Yagokoro Eirin's moving up, China's moving down. Ran holds the microphone towards Yukari, so she can talk into it. “I am not amused by your contumelious behaviour towards your new champion. So, as my first duty, I will ensure, that everybody pays me the proper respect. As I was told, my first title defense will be tonight against Reimu Hakurei. As far as I’m concerned, you rabble deserve no match from me to behold. However, to teach you scum some respect, I will show you what a great wrestler I am and what a bountiful champion I plan to be. Ran, I want you to put the belt around my waist to symbolize very clearly, that from now on, this championship belt is part of me.” Ran does as she is told. He exaggerated every mistake that Reimu made and every move that Yukari countered, letting us all know what he thinks of her. Reimu got better and better though as the match went on. Yukari asked Ran for help, but Ran hesitated to do so. While the referee was busy with telling Ran to stay out of this, ZUN got into the ring and attacked Reimu. Afterwards, Yukari was able to finish her off and defend the belt. Rating: 71 With a celebrating Yukari, a happy ZUN, an angry Reimu and a meditative Ran, the show ends. Another person who needs something fresh in her character, Ran Yakumo. Huh, not that big of a problem, she’s developing right now storywise. ZUN seems to be not so bad as a commentator. And Reimu needs a character refreshment as well. Seems like an epidimic. Best rating so far, makes me not worry so much about Cold As Ice anymore. I can only wonder what they would have been like if Marisa vs Ran was the semi-main event. That match really surprised me. Lotsa good storylines which are being juggled right now. That is okay so far, I’m making lots of money right now. We’ll see how far this may go in the future though. I was a little surprised how small the demand of Reisen was, she truly is a frugal person. It is rumoured, that her wage has been raised quite a lot. Also, Suika Ibuki has started negotiations with her employer today. Wednesday, Week 3, February 2009 Another Touhou worker has entered negotiations for an extension of her contract. Keine Kamishirasawa is said to be an important part of the companies future plans. Thursday, Week 3, February 2009 Third time is a charm. Reisen Udongein Inaba started negotiations with Touhou today. She is currently in a title feud with (9) champion Cirno and a contract extension is said to be secure. Saturday, Week 3, February 2009 The first of the negotiations triumvirate has signed a new contract. Suika Ibuki will be a member of Touhou for nine more months. Tuesday, Week 4, February 2009 The two remaining nogotiations of Touhou have sucessfully lead to contract extensions. Keine Kamishirasawa and Reisen Udongein Inaba will stay with the company. Saturday, Week 4, February 2009 One more contract running out in Touhou. Flandre Scarlet, another important worker, is said to sign a new one over the course of the next week. Wednesday, Week 1, March 2009 As expected, the contract between Flandre Scarlet and the Touhou Project has been extended today. To keep all these important workers can be considered a success.
