Very nice so far, solid storylines, good characters. I'm in for sure. And I would like to see you resolve the Raw GM, unlike the WWE.

Thankyou Shutout. The GM issue will definitely be resolved over the next few weeks. Seems strange to have a storyline span such a long period of time, just to drop it when H's three comes to town. Who knows, maybe it's all just part of a longer storyline? Maybe HHH was the GM all along?

Please, do not let the Raw GM be HHH. Maybe, Mick Foley, Edge, or even Zack Ryder

Well, without giving too much away, The Raw GM will not be Triple H. I was weighing up the idea of having Triple H involved...then they only went and did it in real life! Feels quite redundant to include him at this point, without coming across as a copy cat, perhaps sitting on some kind of door mat.

As for the others you mention, who knows?

NXT opens with Sheamus in the ring with Ash Hoskins. Sheamus tells Hoskins that he doesn't have the time or the patience to babysit an English man. Sheamus tells Hoskins that he will now be mentored by Wade Barrett.

Barrett comes to the ring and shakes Hoskins hand. He says he's glad Sheamus has stepped aside, because he just found out what the prize for winning NXT is. The rookie and pro that win NXT will both receive a a shot at the World Heavyweight championship.

Sheamus is clearly annoyed, and tries to take back what he said, but Barrett is having none of it. Sheamus eventually leaves the ring, but makes it clear to Barrett that this isn't over.

ASH HOSKINS VS CHRISTIAN

In our first match on the new season of NXT, Christian comes to the ring brandishing his newly won World Heavyweight title, as if to emphasise the prize involved in winning NXT. Ash Hoskins proves he is certainly no lightweight in this match, but the world champ simply has too much in his locker at this stage.

WINNER- CHRISTIAN

Matt Striker comes out to explain the scoring system a little more. He explains that Christian has just won five points for Team Canada. If Ash Hoskins had won, then as a rookie, he would have won ten points for Team UK. Striker also says that there is a Rookies tag match up next. The person who picks up the pinfall will recieve ten points, whilst his partner will recieve five.

Meanwhile, Santino is backstage with his Rookie Claus Castagnoli. Santino tells Claus that tonight isn't just about showing that Europe is the greatest, or about beating up Ritchie Rich, tonight is about so much more. Icecream Bars!

At that moment, Ritchie Steamboat and his Pro Big Show pass them in the hallway. Big Show tells Santino that he should worry less about Icecream, and more about what Ritchie is capable of in the ring. Ritchie eyeballs Claus and says

I am Richie Steamboat. Son of the legendary dragon. Prepare to die.

RITCHIE STEAMBOAT AND ZOKRE VS OKADA AND CLAUS CASTAGNOLI

All the pro's are at ringside for this one, except Alberto Del Rio, who is apparently still on the trail of CM Punk. Santino joins the commentary team and espouses the delights of Icecream bars non-stop. Ritchie and Zokre seem like the better unit here, operating as a team when needed, as opposed to OKADA and Claus who are clearly letting their ego's get in the way of points. In fact, Claus looked like he had the match won at one point, but OKADA broke up the pin attempt, wanting the ten points for himself! This was all the opening their opponents needed, as Ritchie used the miscommunication to roll up Claus and gain the pinfall victory!

WINNERS-STEAMBOAT AND ZOKRE

After the match, Santino and Yoshi Tatsu seperate their rookies as Steamboat and Zokre celebrate.

Wade Barrett is backstage with Ash Hoskins. He tells Hoskins not to be too disheartened with his loss, Christian is the World Heavyweight Champion afterall. He tells him to watch closely at ringside as Barrett takes on Pete Windsor next...

Suddenly and without warning, Sheamus attacks Barrett from behind with a steep pipe! He takes a swing at Hoskins too, leaving both me down. Sheamus smirks and says he told them it wasn't over.

WADE BARRETT VS PETE WINDSOR

After a short commercial break, Barrett gingerly makes it down to the ring, but Hoskins has stayed backstage to recieve medical treatment. Christian accompanies Windsor, looking to guide his Rookie to ten points. Windsor takes advantage of Barretts misfortune with a variety of backbreakers employed to target the injured back. Christian shouts encouragement from ringside.

Eventually, the experience of Barrett helps him regain a footing in the match, using every trick he has learnt so far to keep up with the keen Canadian. Christian, seeing that his Rookie is becoming a spent force, slides a steel chair to Windsor behind the referees back. Windsor sees the chair, but tosses it back out, wanting to win this one by fair means...but he turns into a huge boot to the face! Barrett sets Windsor up for The Wastelands...but Pete slips out of it, and applies a sharpshooter! Barrett taps! Pete Windsor wins!

WINNER- PETE WINDSOR

Post match, Christian tries to raise the arm of Windsor, but he pulls away, and instead helps Barrett to his feet. Windsor offers a handshake to Barrett, but Barrett wont accept.

Before the show finishes, a leaderboard appears onscreen, showing the standings so far.

TEAM CANADA- 15 POINTS (WINDSOR 10/ CHRISTIAN 5)

TEAM USA- 10 POINTS (STEAMBOAT 10/ BIG SHOW 0)

TEAM MEXICO- 5 POINTS ( ZOKRE 5 / DEL RIO 0)

TEAM UK- 0 POINTS ( HOSKINS 0/ BARRET 0)

TEAM EUROPE- 0 POINTS (CASTAGNOLI 0/ SANTINO 0)

TEAM JAPAN 0 POINTS ( OKADA 0/ YOSHI 0)

Tonight on SmackDown, GM Teddy Long has stated that he will name his SummerSlam main event. One has to assume that it will feature current World Champion Christian, but will it be against the unruly Randy Orton? Orton is not guaranteed a title shot, but many feel he deserves one given the manner in which he lost the title. Will Teddy be able to see past Randys recent anger management issues, or will he give a give a title shot to one of the other great SmackDown superstars?

One match that we do know will take place at SummerSlam is Kane vs Mark Henry vs Ezekiel Jackson with the Intercontinental title on the line. Both Kane and Henry wasted little time in targeting the champion last week, attacking him and each other in the ring. With that in mind, Teddy Long has booked all three men on opposite teams in a tag team triple threat match tonight. We do not yet know who each man's partner is yet, but it is sure to be an intense match nevertheless.

As anybody who saw NXT can attest to, there is no love lost between Sheamus and Wade Barrett. Angry about missing out on a potential World Heavyweight title shot after letting Barrett mentor Ash Hoskins, Sheamus is a very bitter man. Tonight he has handpicked another former NXT Rookie Heath Slater to be his partner, when they take on Barrett and his current rookie, Ash Hoskins.

Cody Rhodes will also be in action tonight, hot off the heels of an impressive if ill gotten victory over Mr MITB Daniel Bryan. The self proclaimed SmackDown One will go to battle with the high flying sensation Sin Cara. Cara was hurt in The MITB ladder match and was given last week off, but he returns tonight against a very capable opponent.

Finally, Divas champion Kelly Kelly will put her title on the line tonight as she faces Alicia Fox in one on one action.

KELLY KELLY VS ALICIA FOX

CODY RHODES VS SIN CARA

WADE BARRETT AND ASH HOSKINS VS SHEAMUS AND HEATH SLATER

KANE AND ??? VS MARK HENRY AND ??? VS EZEKIEL JACKSON AND ???

WWE SmackDown, sponsored by the all new WWF action figures! Loud Noises!

(After the usual SmackDown intro, a slick video plays showing the various confrontations between Orton and Christian last week, ending with Orton punting Christian in the head.)

(As the video finishes, we cut to Teddy Long in his office. He is making a phone call, but is interrupted by Christian.)

CHRISTIAN- Teddy! I demand satisfaction! After what Randy Orton did to me last week I'm lucky to even be here! My doctors say that if he kicked me even a millimetre to the left I could have been on the shelf for months! Is that the kind of behaviour you want to encourage on your show, huh?

LONG- Now wait just a minute, Playa...

CHRISTIAN- No, you wait. I'm sick of being treated as an afterthought by you. I'm the World Heavyweight Champion, and I've earned the right to be treated with a little respect! I shouldn't have to fear for my safety at every turn.

LONG- Christian, I've known you a long time, and I've always done my best for you. Believe me, by the end of tonight, you're going to get everything you deserve, trust me. Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got a phone call to make.

(Christian eyes Teddy with suspicion, but leaves contented. Teddy redials his phone.)

BOOKER T- Wow, what do you think T-Long means by that?

COLE- Hopefully he's finally realised what an asset he has in Christian, and that Orton needs to be punished!

BOOKER- Well I guess we're going to find out tonight dawg!

COLE- Also tonight, we have a huge main event, a tag team triple threat featuring the three men who will compete at SummerSlam for the Intercontinental championship.

BOOKER- I can't wait to see that, man! We don't know who their partners are gonna be yet, but I can't wait to find out!

CODY RHODES VS SIN CARA

Cody Rhodes swaggers down to the ring, his confidence at an all time high thanks to his victory last week. The Mexican sensation Sin Cara looks refreshed after his week off, but Cody senses a weakness in his gameplan. His back not being 100%, Cara didn't attempt his spring into the ring, and that was all the opening that Cody needed, and proved to be the focus of the majority of Codys offence. Sin Cara was unable to make the most of his high flying offence due to his back. Never let it be said that Cara isn't a tough individual though, as he refused to give up despite the punishing attacks. Cara even got himself in position to attempt his patented La Mística, but Cody was able to counter into the silver spoon DDT! 1....2...3!

WINNER- CODY RHODES

(After the match, Cody grabs a microphone.)

CODY- Well well well, The SmackDown one strikes again. Another victory against one of your sweethearts. Another feather in my cap. Another reason why I should be in the SmackDown main event at SummerSlam. But the thing I've quickly come to realise is that it really doesn't matter who I beat, or what I do, because I'll never get what I'm due. As long as there's a Daniel Bryan, or a Sin Cara, Randy Orton, Kane, the list goes on...as long as they demand the spotlight, The SmackDown One will languish in their shadows. And it used to bother me, it used to eat me up inside, frustrate me. Not anymore. Not anymore. All I see now is opportunity. Opportunity to fly under the radar of The World Heavyweight title and inflict pain and misery on whoever I face. I don't need power. I don't demand respect or crave celebrity. All I need is a canvas, four turnbuckles, and a victim. So says The SmackDown One.

(Cody throws down the microphone and heads backstage.)

COLE- This is a very different Cody Rhodes than we have seen lately, personally, I like him a lot better now!

BOOKER- Why's he gotta concentrate on inflicting pain, Cole? Why can't he compete in the spirit of fair competition like everybody else?

----------------------------------------------------------------------

(Meanwhile, backstage, Daniel Bryan is in his locker room when Matt Striker comes to talk to him.)

STRIKER- Daniel, can we get a few words with you?

BRYAN- Anything for you, Matt, what do you want to know?

STRIKER- The entire WWE Universe has been buzzing about your actions last week. Not only did you turn down the opportunity to cash in your MITB briefcase after Randy Orton punted Christian in the head, but you then declared that you would cash in your title opportunity at next years Royal Rumble. I guess what we all want to know is why chose that specific date?

BRYAN- Well, Matt, I'm glad you asked. How many times have you heard superstars say that it's always been their dream to headline WrestleMania? Everybody dreams of being in the main event on the grandest stage of them all. In fact, wasn't so long ago that a man held this exact briefcase and told everybody who would listen that he was going to cash it in at WrestleMania. What ever happened to that guy? Anyway, every year, at least thirty superstars enter a vicious marathon called The Royal Rumble because they want to main event WrestleMania, they put their bodies on the line in career threatening Elimination Chamber matches just to get to The Showcase of The Immortals. They all dream.

I dream too, Matt, but my dreams a little bit different. I don't want to just be in the WrestleMania main event, no. I want to walk into WrestleMania as the defending World Heavyweight Champion, and I want to walk out the retaining World Heavyweight Champion. Now last week I was beaten by Cody Rhodes...

STRIKER- Yeah, but he cheated to win!

BRYAN- Whether he cheated or not is irrelevant. Cody did what he needed to do to pick up the victory. If I want to be the best in the world then I need to anticipate that somebody like him will do something like that. If I want to achieve my dream, and I intend to, then I need all the big match experience I can get...

(Big Zeke Jackson saunters into view of the camera.)

ZEKE- You want big match experience, huh? Well, Daniel, it just so happens that I'm looking for a tag team partner for tonights main event. I would be honoured if that partner was you.

BRYAN- I'm up for that, Zeke. Count me in.

(Zeke smiles and exits as we head to commercial)

----------------------------------------------------------------------

KELLY KELLY VS ALICIA FOX

Alicia is clearly still feeling the effects of the sharpshooter last week from Natalya, which ultimately leads to her downfall, allowing Kelly to win and retain her title.

WINNER- KELLY KELLY

(Post match, Natalya makes her presence felt once again, destroying both Kelly and Alicia with vicious clotheslines. Alicia rolls out of harms way, and Natalya locks in the sharpshooter on Kelly. As Kelly screams in pain, Natalya eventually releases the hold. As the cameras follow her, she can be heard to shout "Why didn't I get a shot?")

---------------------------------------------------------------------

(After another short break, Christian is in the ring with a house mic.)

CHRISTIAN- Since Teddy Long wants to fob me off with empty promises, I'm taking my grievances public. I've been beaten up, had my head nearly kicked clean off my shoulders, disrespected at every turn, yet still Randy Orton faces no punishment. Teddy Long needs to take control of this situation before it gets out of hand. He needs to stop this menace! And the sad thing is, the warning signs have been there for years. Randy has gone too far with legends like Harley Race, Mick Foley, even Vince McMahon himself! So Teddy, I propose that you hit Randy Orton where it hurts. Ban him, suspend him, stop him doing what he loves to do. At the very least, prevent him from ever getting another shot at the World Heavyweight Title...

(Christian is abruptly interrupted by, of all people, Kane.)

KANE- Forgive me, Christian, for interrupting your monotonous diatribe. This wont take long. Tonight, I need a tag team partner for the main event. I'm not asking you to be my partner. I'm telling you that you're my partner.

CHRISTIAN- Now hold on a minute Kane....

(But Kane simply raises his arms, sets the turnbuckles aflame, and exits the ring, laughing maniacally.)

WADE BARRETT AND ASH HOSKINS VS SHEAMUS AND HEATH SLATER

In a short yet brutal matchup, Sheamus takes out his anger on young Ash Hoskins, smashing him with a brogue kick and a running powerbomb whilst Slater holds back Barrett.

WINNERS- SHEAMUS AND SLATER

(After the match, Sheamus continues his assault on Hoskins until Barrett is able to get the better of Heath Slater and chases the two men from ringside. Barrett checks on the condition of his young Rookie, helping him to his feet and to the back.)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

(Meanwhile, Natalya is shown backstage, still angry. She literally bumps into Cody Rhodes, sending Cody flying into the corridor wall.)

CODY- Hey! Watch where you're going!

NATALYA- Get out of my face Cody! I'm not in the mood!

CODY- You think you've got it bad?

NATALYA- I beat Alicia Fox last week, I destroyed her, I made her pass out! Yet she gets a title shot tonight?

CODY- Welcome to my world, Nattie. Stop feeling sorry for yourself and do something about it! You didn't get a shot because Teddy Long is scared of the path of destruction you would leave through the entire division. He wants scantily clad models holding that womens title, not....

NATALYA- Not what, Cody?

CODY- Not strong, beautiful, real women like you.

(Natalya looks shocked at what Cody says, half smiles, and walks away. Cody himself isn't sure what he has just said, but he half smiles too.)

--------------------------------------------------------------------

(After a short break, we are live and uninterrupted for the main event. Bryan and Zeke come out first to a huge reception, then Kane and a reluctant Christian to a mixed reaction. Mark Henry comes to the ring alone...

Followed by his tag partner Randy Orton! The look on Christians face is priceless! He tries to make a sharp exit but Kane wont allow him!)

BRYAN AND ZEKE VS KANE AND CHRISTIAN VS MARK HENRY AND RANDY ORTON

This match will have two competitors in the ring at one time, with people tagging in whoever they like. Randy is desperate to start and wants Christian to face him, but Christian is having none of it. He forces Daniel Bryan into the ring, who is more than happy to test himself against Orton.

As the match progresses, Orton seems to be taking the brunt of the punishment. Christian see's this as his opportunity to extract some revenge on Orton, and slaps Big Zeke on the back, tagging himself in. Christian takes his time and picks his spot, eventually going for the kill switch, but Orton powers out and shoves Christian into the corner! As Christian stumbles back...Orton hits the RKO! He goes for the cover...but the ref doesn't count it. Apparently, Kane tagged Christian when he was in the corner. Kane tries to chokeslam Orton, but Henry breaks it up. the match breaks down as all six men enter the ring as the referee loses control. Henry clotheslines Bryan over the top, and Zeke does the same to Kane.

In the confusion, Christian is able to finally hit the killswitch on Orton, but Kane is still the legal man. Christian shouts at Kane to get back in the ring, he covers Orton...1...2......no! Orton kicks out!

Kane sets up Orton for the chokeslam again, but Orton counters into another RKO! Orton stares at Christian who backs off into the corner and out of the ring. Orton covers Kane, staring at Christian all the time. 1....2....3! Orton wins it.

WINNERS RANDY ORTON AND MARK HENRY

After the match, Christian grabs his title and runs! Orton chases up the ramp after Christian, through the curtain...but Christian catches Orton unaware with a vicious blow, smashing him over the head with The Heavyweight title! With Orton laid out on the entrance ramp, Christian gloats to the crowd. He see's Orton in a prone position, steps back, and looks like he is going to return the favour from last week and punt Orton in the head! Christian takes a couple steps back, sticks his finger in the air to check the wind direction...

<iframe width="425" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/OlVTGIQmpJ8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

(OH MY GOD! MICK FOLEY IS HERE! Christian hears the music and a scared expression comes across his face. Foley taps Christian on he shoulder, who slowly turns around. Foley has a microphone.)

FOLEY- First of all, it's great to be back, RIGHT HERE, IN ANN ARBOR, MICHIGAN!

Secondly, Thankyou Teddy Long for inviting me here tonight, and for allowing me the opportunity to be a part of The SmackDown SummerSlam main event! That's right Christian...

(Foley takes off his jacket to reveal his mankind era ripped referee shirt.)

...I'm the referee for the World Heavyweight title match. You're opponent? The man you were just about to punt into the parking lot, Randy Orton!

(The crowd cheer loudly, Foley waits for them to quiet down.)

And just in case you were wondering why my particular expertise was needed for this match, allow me to explain with four little words.

HELL IN A CELL!

(Foley does his bang bang signal and exits the stage. Christian cannot believe he has to defend his title in Hell in a Cell! He puts his head in his hands and turns back towards Orton...who has got to his feet! Orton RKO's Christian on the steel ramp! Orton raises his arms for the crowd as SmackDown fades to black.)

Really enjoyed writing that SmackDown, probably my favourite show to write so far in this diary. Really enjoying where SmackDown is heading, probably moreso than Raw. Saying that, hopefully there are a few unexpected twists and turns to come on Raw! Speaking of which...

http://i634.photobucket.com/albums/uu61/Punk_No1/RawHD_Logo_cuted_by_Crank.png

Raw is in a state of turmoil. Cena is gone. CM Punk is gone. And now Vince McMahon himself is gone, leaving the Raw Anonymous General Manager in complete control of his flagship show. What will this mean for the future of Raw and the WWE title?

One thing we do know is that Alberto Del Rio is still on the trail of CM Punk despite Vince's absence. Where will Del Rio's crusade take him this week?

And what does this all mean for the Raw Superstars and their battle for supremacy? We have seen over the last two weeks the fragility of the situation, with attacks and proclamations coming left right and center. The GM will have his or her work cut out to defuse the situation.

As such, a huge main event match has been booked for tonight. The GM has put Rey Mysterio's morals to the test, as he faces off against bitter rival The Miz and new found friend Kofi Kingston. Given that Kingston turned down a potential future WWE title shot to save Rey, what will Rey do if faced with the chance to pin Kofi?

Tonight, the returning John Morrison will be in tag team action, as he and Zack Ryder team up to take on R Truth and Jack Swagger in an emotionally charged match.

Also, The Big Show returns to action against Drew McIntyre. McIntyre and his running buddy Dolph Ziggler attacked Big Show on Raw last week, will Show get revenge for that attack?

Find out only on Raw tonight!

BIG SHOW VS DREW MCINTYRE

JOHN MORRISON AND ZACK RYDER VS THE TRUTH AND JACK SWAGGER

REY MYSTERIO VS THE MIZ VS KOFI KINGSTON

Tie Breaker question: How many times will the Raw GM interrupt Raw? Closest guess without going over wins.

He picks Drew up and hits a chokeslam whilst Ziggler runs away, not even turning to check on his ally. Not quite satisfied, Show sets up Drew in the corner and smashes him with a knock out punch! Sorry for jumping the gun a bit on predictions! Had the show wrote up and figured nobody would be too fussed given there wasnt a prize or anything. I'm sure you would have clean sweeped anyways!

A lot of team europe love in the house eh? Castagnoli certainly has a lot of upside and should make the full roster win or lose. In fact, I'm toying with changing up the format somewhat and holding a mini draft once NXT is over to decide which show each rookie ends up on.
