In the final match, who do you mean to win. Lone Rider, or Paul Parquar?

MWF Monthly #2

Location: Marv’s Sports Centre

Attendance: 76

Match 1

http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/CaptainWrestling.jpg vs http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/BigJimTeasdale.jpg

Captain Wrestling vs. Big Jim Teasdale

• Much like last month’s affair this match was a slugfest.

• Big Jim looked very angry and dominating in the match, barely letting Captain Wrestling get up.

• Captain Wrestling eventually finds to strength to mount a comeback and much like last month puts Big Jim down for the count with a Lariat.

Winner: Captain Wrestling

Post-match, Big Jim brutally assaults Captain Wrestling, and delivers a Powerbomb though a table set up at ringside. Paramedics surround Captain Wrestling and stretcher him out of the arena whilst Big Jim just looks on.

Match 2

MWF AUSTRALIAN TAG TITLES MATCH UP

http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/HarryWilson.jpghttp://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/JackGiedroyc_alt2.jpg w/ http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/SeanQuartermainne.jpg vs. http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/BooSmithson.jpghttp://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/JansenBelvedere.jpg

The Redcoats (Harry Wilson and Jack Giedroyc) © with Sean Quartermainne vs. The Rebel Alliance (Boo and Jan Solo)

• Another re-match from last month sees The Redcoats do battle with The Rebel Alliance, this time with The Redcoats having the championships and a very ****y Sean Quartermainne in their corner.

• From the offset it is very clear that Jack Giedroyc and Sean Quartermainne don’t have any chemistry as a manager and a client.

• Harry Wilson is the main man in The Redcoats, engaging in a really good technical battle with MWF’s resident wookie Boo.

• The Redcoats once again however steal the win after Quartermainne distracts the referee and allows Harry to nail Jan between the eyes with a pair of brass knuckles before calling in Jack for the Empire’s Trust (Spike Piledriver)

Winners and STILL MWF Australian Tag Team Champions: The Redcoats (Harry Wilson and Jack Giedroyc)

Match 3

http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/DingoDevine.jpg vs. http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/UKDragon.jpg

Dingo Devine vs. U.K. Dragon

• Dingo’s mystery opponent is revealed to be U.K. Dragon, fresh off of a spell in Japan with WLW.

• The two engage in an old-school technical style of match-up with each man being locked up in various submission holds.

• U.K. Dragon goes to hit the Dragon Drop (Vertical Drop Brainbuster) but Dingo reverses it into a neckbreaker before picking up Dragon and hitting him with a perfect Southern Lights Suplex (Northern Lights Suplex)

Winner: Dingo Devine

We now go to Sean Quartermainne and Debonair David Peterson, who is standing backstage with a microphone.

“Well, first off I would like to say, I told you so. I told each and every one of you that my client Mr Peterson here would walk out with the MWF Australian Heavyweight Championship and lo and behold, here he is standing right next to me with said Championship. And our Board of Directors don’t even give the most valuable asset in MWF a night off? Instead they risk David’s health by throwing him in the ring with a psychopath that doesn’t realise that Star Wars isn’t real. And they are already deciding who gets the next shot about Mr Peterson here! This is a bloody outrage.”

With that a visibly furious Sean and David walk off, probably to talk strategy about how to deal with Master Jed High

Match 4

MWF Australian Heavyweight Number One Contendership Match

http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/LannyWilliams.jpg vs. http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/DrakeMasters.jpg vs. http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/PaulParquar.jpg vs. http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/OriginalLoneRider.jpg

Lanny Williams vs. Drake Masters vs. Paul Parquar vs. Lone Rider

• This is all four men’s first match here in MWF and they all use it as a showcase for their skills.

• Drake is like a restless child, zooming around the ring, springboarding of the ropes and turnbuckles with no regards for his own safety.

• The other competitors try and keep Drake grounded, with Lanny Williams coming the closest after catching Drake mid-air from a crossbody attempt and throwing him halfway across the ring with a pumphandle slam.

• Lanny eventually gets the win after hitting Paul Parquar with a DDT and getting the three count a split second before Lone Rider broke up the count.

Winner and new #1 Contender : Lanny Williams

Main Event

MWF Australian Heavyweight Championship Match

Debonair David Peterson © with Sean Quartermainne vs. Master Jed High

• Master Jed High once again was followed by Pada Juan Kenobi, and his young padawan was once again told he was not ready. Pada Juan walked to the back with a look of anger and sadness on his face.

• Peterson exploited the rulebook to his advantage, taking to the very last second in a five count to break holds, using Sean Quartermainne to distract Lew Rose and generally breaking all the rules.

• Master Jed High tried to use the force on Peterson but Debonair just stood in the ring and yawned. Jed High had a look of shock on his face after this occurred.

• Debonair retained his title after hitting Jed High with a Hangman’s Neckbreaker after Jed once again failed to use the force.

Winner and STILL MWF Australian Heavyweight Championship: Debonair David Peterson

I'm liking the retro Australian CornellVerse though I'm with a lot of the other people commenting in agreeing that too many European workers will kinda take away from it a little too much. After all, I figure if they're flying down for the show that's gonna cost them $2,000 return!

Anyhow, outside of that I'm really enjoying the easy-to-read shows, they're simple enough to read in a hurry but detailed enough to build stories and what not.

Keep up the good work!
