WCW Nitro Monday June Week 3

World Championship Wrestling to returning to ABC this week to air WCW Nitro.This week is going to be big and will see the TV Debut of the "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Micheals after he made his debut last night and helped Steve Austin retain the World title at the Great American Bash.What will Arn and Ric have to say.

Sting and Savage battled in the Hell in a Cell last night and Sting was able to come victorious, what will Savage have to say

Roma was able to finally beat Vader and he was able to win the United States title and Vader says that he will get his title back someway.

Avalanche has grown into a Big star here in WCW and Scott Steiner,who just got here, has been attacking and calling out Avalanche, but last night Avalanche was able to shut Steiner up.

Eddie Guerrero, a popular Mexican Luchadore, makes his WCW Debut.All of this and more on WCW Nitro!

Matt does that to hide his love of Paul Roma. :)

 

 

I do dig the old school WCW. I liked them back in the 80's. I loved the Horsemen running wild and having all the belts. That style, with no mats, when guys where tough as nails and you didn't need a chair, just a piledriver or a powerful lariat. The good old days.

No Introduction for the announcers as right after the Nitro Intro Music Video, Shawn Micheals “Sexy Boy” Music hits and he walks to the ring taking in all the boo's. He gets in the ring and gets a microphone and just sits there for a moment

Wow WCW, is way different than I thought. Here I though you would accept me as a great superstar and is leaving the sinking ship of the other League. But guess you don't(he chuckles to himself) Most of that should be for being with Steve Austin.(Crowd Boo's lowdly) Why you booing?? He is your World Champion and needs respect. He has had that title since January, and looks like he won't be losing it. Which brings me to say why I am with Austin. When you join a new company you want to be World Champion and I thought if I just join him, I may get a Title shot in the future but right now, I am good friends with Austin, and planning on staying that way!(He throws the mic down and leaves with his “Sexy Boy” theme)(

When we get back to the ring, Tenay and Heenan are talking about what just happened and after a few minutes ,the WCW Cuiserweight Champion

Billy Kidman defeated Dean Malenko in 4:44 by pinfall with a Shooting Star Press.

Kidman gets up after the match and gets him Cruiserweight title and then helps Dean up till Rob Van Dam and Chris Jericho attack them! After a few shots, they leave them down and out

 

 

Rock's music hits and he starts to walk the entrance way with a Microphone in hand

 

 

The Rock-Well the Rock is here on Nitro and The Rock has a purpose here on Nitro. Nobody respects the Rock. Why you ask, because The Rock is not WCW World Champion that’s why! Even though I dislike saying this, but to get to the top, got to start at the bottom and Rock has to do that, which is why Rock calls out MICK FOLEY!!!(He stands there and waits till Foley's music hits and he stands at the top of the Entrance)

 

Mick Foley-(Looking down at his TV Title)Ok, Rock I'm here, what do you want?

 

The Rock-Rock is going to make this short and Simple, The Rock challenges Mick Foley for the TV Title at Bash at the Beach!!!!!(The Crowd starts cheering Foley Foley Foley)

 

Mick Foley-I ACCEPT! Rock, don't think you are going to take this title from me any day!(Foley music hits and then camera goes to Tenay at the announce table(

 

 

 

Mike Tenay- Fans, this afternoon I caught up with Sting and got his thoughts on the Hell in a Cell he went through last night

 

 

Bobby-Then later you will hear from Savage!

 

Sting is seen sitting on a chair and in front of him is Mike

 

Mike Tenay- Sting, as we all saw at Great American Bash you were in one of the most violet matches World Championship Wrestling has even seen. How is your condition?

 

Sting-Well, I'm in so bad of shape that I am not at Nitro(He chuckles) But in all seriousness, that match took a lot out of me. I think after that, I have shut Randy Savage up.

 

Mike Tenay- Is it over between you and Savage?

 

Sting- I hope it is but knowing Savage it is not over. Savage will say that he should of won, Sting cheated. Blah Blah Blah, and all that other stuff, he says. So I hope so, but my gut feeling is it is not

 

Mike Tenay- When are you returning to Nitro?

 

Sting- That is a hard one Mike. Still have to see my doctors because I don't know if I am more injured than I think.

 

Mike Tenay- Do you think your age affected your performance

 

Sting- Yes, that is a big fat yes. I am getting older, 35 Years and been on top for a lot of the years. So my body has been getting a lot of punishment during this time.

 

 

Mike Tenay- Is it time to hang up the boots?

 

Sting- I don't think so. I am enjoying WCW and enjoy everything here except for a few guys in the bank(He chuckles) So after I think I should retire, I will retire.

 

Mike Tenay- Sting thank you for this time

 

Sting- No Problem Mike, I will be watching Nitro on ABC

 

Mike Tenay- Good job(They share a laugh)(

 

When the video ends, the Hardyz and Harlem Heat are in the ring getting ready for the Tag Team Tourney 1st Round matchup

Diamond Dallas is sitting in his locker room playing Warhawk,the top PS1 game in 1995, and he is clearly struggling on just the first level of the game. He looks like he is about to throw the PlayStation across the room. That is till Nick Bockwinkel walks in the room

 

Nick-Having trouble?(He laughs)

 

DDP- Just shut up and leave(He is mad) I am doing fine

 

 

Nick- Doesn't look that way, you are having trouble beating the first level, I mean Damn! the first level

 

DDP- You know what!(He stands up)You beat then

 

Nick takes the control and beats it in about a minute and then hands it back to DDP

 

Nick- See not very hard(He walks away and Diamond takes the controller and throws it at the wall still in anger)

 

Dustin Rhodes music hits over the PA and he walks out with his lovely wife Terri Rhodes. He taunts the fans as he gets to the ring

 

Dustin Rhodes-Here we go again, I still have to worry about my washed up dad Dusty. I have beat you twice dad! I don't want to do it again, but you still want to face at Bash at the Beach. I agreed to let you pick my opponent for tonight, in exchange for me picking a stipulation for our match. I thought about it for about 5 minutes. Dad! I want you in the match you made famous, I think, Texas Bullrope match. Now get here and let me see my opponent(He throws the Mic down)

Mike Tenay- Fans, as we heard from Sting, we now get to hear from Randy Savage on his Hell in a Cell Experience. Just watch

 

Mike Tenay- Hello Savage, the Hell in a Cell is a Violet Match and you were in it, what is your condition

 

Randy Savage-I'm doing just finnneee.

 

Mike Tenay- Really?

 

Randy Savage- What??!! DON'T YOU BELIEVE ME?(He Stands up and sucker punches Tenay)

 

 

Bobby- So thats why you got a black eye huh

 

Mike- Yea, Savage f***ing punched me

 

Bobby- Is it wrong for me to laugh?(Tenay gives him a dirty look) HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAH

 

Mike- Hey Bobby look it is your favorite Superstar Steve Austin(Steve Austin walks down, loving all the boos and goes over to Bobby and shakes his hand and then goes in the ring and taunts the crowd)

 

Bobby- You See? He respects me for what I have done in this here wrestling business.

 

Mike-Like what?(He rows his eyes)

 

Bobby- I told Andre to turn on Hogan!

 

Mike- How did that turn out?

 

Bobby-Shut up Okay!(Roma's music hits) Here this guy comes

 

Mike- What are you talking about! This guy beat Vader for the title last night!

 

Bobby- Vader is going to crush him!

 

Mike- When he is not in the match!

 

Bobby- I mean when their in the same ring

Steve Austin defeated Paul Roma in 5:22 by pinfall following interference from Vader. The match also had a lot of interference: Arn Anderson targeted Austin, Ric Flair attacked Austin, and finally Shawn Micheals interfered against Austin.

 

WINNER-Steve Austin(10)

 

After the match, Austin and Micheals and Anderson and Flair and Vader and Roma continue their brawling and then tons of Staff come running down trying to break it up, but with no luck fails as the 8 continue to brawl even more. Then Micheals superkicked Flair out of the ring and then Anderson spine busted Shawn and threw him out of the ring. Vader goes for Anderson and chucks him out of the ring. Roma is seen on the top rope and hits a Elbow on Vader! Vader rolls out of the ring and Roma stands tall!

 

 

Thats till Austin comes and nails Roma with his World Title and US Title. So Austin stands tall!

 

Eric's music hits and he stands on the entrance with a Microphone

Eric-I don't know what made this happen, but I have decided to book another match for Thunder! It will be Steve Austin defending his World Title against HBK and Anderson and Flair and Vader and Roma! In a Elimination Match in the Main Event!

 

 

Nitro ends with Austin standing in the middle of the ring with the WCW Title in hand

WCW.com Match-

The Rock

vs

Adam Copeland

The Rock defeated Adam Copeland in 4:30 with a Missile Dropkick

 

WINNER-The Rock(1)

 

 

WCW.com Match-

Chris Jericho and Rob Van Dam

vs

Dean Malenko and Billy Kidman

Chris Jericho and Rob Van Dam defeated Dean Malenko and Billy Kidman in 4:05 when Rob Van Dam defeated Dean Malenko by pinfall with a handful of tights.

 

WINNER-Chris Jericho and Rob Van Dam(3)

 

 

 

Show opens with the huge WCW Fireworks and then the the Nitro Video airs and then it goes to Jim Ross and Bobby Heenan who preview the whole show. After that it goes to the ring for the opening contest

 

Randy Savage and Avalanche

vs

Sting and Scott Steiner

Randy Savage and Avalanche defeated Sting and Scott Steiner in 4:47 when Avalanche defeated Scott Steiner by pinfall while using the ropes for leverage.(9)

 

WINNER-Avalanche and Randy Savage

 

After the match the four superstars brawl afterward and the only way they could be stopped when when a lot of Security separate them. Randy Savage gets the last laugh on Sting as he hits him with a chair and Avalanche also gets the final laugh as he hits him with the same chair and Avalanche and Savage leave together

 

COMMERCIAL BREAK

 

After the commercial break it goes to Mick Foley who is sitting in his Lockeroom with his Television title beside him

 

Mick Foley- So, Rock thinks he can beat him huh? Well I didn't want to tell him but I will win at Bash at the Beach. I mean, I already got a reason now. He was a WCW.com match, I am live on TV. So Rock you think you are as good as me well don't just be on WCW.com be on TV like Foley is. I need to take a shower now, but Rock get ready to lose cause I am going to kick your ass at Bash at the Beach

Afterwards it goes to Dustin who is in the ring with a worried look on his face knowing he is facing his brother Cody and Terri is trying to comfort Dustin as he gets ready for Cody. Dusty's music hits and Dusty walks out with 10 Year Old Cody with Basketball Shorts and Running shoes with a Micheal Jordan shirt on.

 

Dustin Rhodes(w/Terri Rhodes)

vs

Cody Rhodes(w/Dusty Rhodes)

Dustin doesn’t even get in the ring with Cody, he just sits there outside while Cody taunts his older brother. Because of this the Referee counts Dustin out.

 

WINNER-Cody Rhodes by Count-out

 

Dustin starts to walk to the back till Cody gets his attention, and says “Look forward!” He looks around and gets clotheslined by Dusty. Dusty grabs a Bullrope and hits Dustin Multiple times in his back! Till Referees come running down to get him off. Dusty gets off volunteerly and Dustin gets up with multiple shots on his back. Dustin goes to the back his head still down and Dusty and Cody hugging in the ring.

 

 

A Video then airs hyping up Triple H and Kurt Angle as a Tag Team and when the video end, they are in the ring standing next to each other

 

Triple H- I am Triple H

Kurt Angle- I am Kurt Angle

Together- And we are the best Tag Team around here in World Championship Wrestling

Triple H- Most people don't think we are and the way to prove that is we will win this tourney and then beat the Tag Team Champions.

Kurt Angle- We are the most talented, Charismatic and anything else!

Triple H- But people still don't think that Angle

Kurt Angle- But Triple H! There is one person that thinks that!

Triple H- Really? Wait I know who you are talking about, you are talking about this guy!(Harley Race goes through the curtain the enters the ring) Here he is. My Man Harley Race!

Harley Race- Than you Hunter and yall two are so right about everything. Don't ever listen to other people. You are the greatest and I will even say, you two are future World Champs.

Kurt Angle-(Holding out his hand) That means a lot Harley but I already knew that.

Harley Race-(Shaking it) So you don't forgot it Angle(He laughs) But Triple H you are like Angle, a future World Champion in this here business.

Triple H-(He shakes Harley Hands) Thank you( He then looks at the camera) It all starts with us winning the Tag Titles(They all leave together)

 

COMMERCIAL BREAK

 

After the Break, it goes to the ring where Sid and Meng are getting ready to face the WCW Tag Champs in Non-Title Action.

 

 

Stars and Stripes(Marcus Alexander Bagwell and The Patriot)

Sid and Meng

Stars & Stripes defeated Sid and Meng in 3:56 when Marcus Alexander Bagwell defeated Sid Vicious by pinfall with a Yellow Jacket Suplex.(6)

After the match, Diamond Dallas Page is seen walking down the hallway going toward the ring to call out Nick Bockwinkel

After the break, Diamond is in the ring with a Microphone

 

Diamond Dallas Page- I think everybody has been seeing the last week weeks of Nick coming in the ring while I'm working on something and he thinks I am having trouble, but I ain't! He comes in and finishes it very quickly which pisses me off very much. Nick I know you are thinking right now. You are not better than DDP and that is the truth. You may be better at mind games, but that because your 60 years old and I admit you are. But I got one advantage, I am still a better wrestler! Nick you are just a old Fag that wouldn't lose the AWA Title to anybody. Nick I have layed the challenge, Me and you at Bash at the Beach and I can prove I am better than you.(He leaves after this)

 

 

Roma is then seen sitting in a locker room with his US Title beside him. Johnny Badd walks in

 

Johnny B. Badd- (Pointing at the US Title) Nice title there

Paul Roma- Thanks

Johnny B. Badd- I use to him have a title but lost it to some British guy

Paul Roma- (He stands up next to Badd) Steven Regal, but anyways what do you want?

Johnny B. Badd- I know that you are a fighting champion so want to give me a title shot on Nitro?

Paul Roma- (Walking away with his title) Your on(He walks out)

Johnny B. Badd- (Smiling) This is going to work to perfection

Camera fades to the ring for the next match

 

 

Road Warriors(Animal and Hawk)

Moondogs(Moondog Rex and Moondog Spot)

Road Warriors defeated Moondogs in 3:31 when Road Warrior Hawk defeated Moondog Rex by pinfall with a Flying Fistdrop.(5)

Harlem Heat vs Nasty Boys

Road Warriors vs Ged and Jado/Angle and HHH

 

 

The Road Warriors are celebrating and about to leave till the Moondogs attack the Road Warriors with there Bones and as soon as it hits the head of both, they were on the ground. Its the Moondogs that gets the last laugh.

 

Afterwards, a Video starts hyping Eddie Guerrero. It shows clips of his Mexican CMLL and AAA Matches plus highlights from his debut against Johnny B. Badd on Monday. Its ends with Eddie saying “ Here I come WCW”

And once again, while i try to make your show so much better, you go and do the opposite. :)

 

Solid show. I know Austin is close to giving up the title but that's a great ending match. I liked it. Can't wait for the next installment.

 

Yea I thought it was too, I love Titles Matches on TV :D

  • Global TV which Airs Nitro on a later date had 311,194 Viewers

  • Also World Championship Wrestling is proud to announce that they have agreed to a contract with Jeff Jarrett! He worked for WWF and it was expring and Jeff quickly signed with WCW. It is a 504 Day Contract worth about $3,175 Dollars a month. This is huge for WCW and he will begin to work in 6 Days. He can start working in July but WCW doesn't want to reveal when he will debut or will he keep the same gimmick, Heel or Face? The Only way to see is if you watch WCW Nitro and Thunder! Live on Monday and Thursday Nights on the biggest TV Networks in the World
