Our Raw show starts unusually with no pyro, but rather the #1 contender to the WWE Title, Alberto Del Rio. Del Rio stands proudly in the ring, clearly happy at the shock he formed at the end of last week.

“ Last week, I did the unthinkable. I was underestimated by CM Punk and Chris Jericho, they didn’t believe that it’s my destiny to win the WWE Championship at Royal Rumble, but then they didn’t expect for me to beat them both into submission last week. You see, I am a two time former WWE champion, a Royal Rumble winner and a man of the people, and Jericho and Punk got so caught up in their little rivalry that they forgot exactly how dangerous I am…..

Very Rapidly, CM Punk’s theme hits and the Straight Edge Superstar made a bee-line for the ring, immediately snatching a microphone.

<a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=CMPunk42.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/CMPunk42.jpg" border="0" alt="CM Punk"></a>

“ Oh my god, Berto’ will you please shut up. I didn’t forget that you’re dangerous, I just don’t care because you are stale, you are boring and you never stop going on about your destiny. Well my destiny is to beat you like nobodies business at the Royal Rumble, then whip Chris Jericho like the bitch he is and then make my stake for being the greatest WWE Champion in history. God, I can’t wait for next Monday though, when I will only have one jackass to worry about.”

As Del Rio gets into Punk’s face clearly agitated, Chris Jericho and his protégé, Dean Ambrose stalk out to the entrance ramp.

<a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=CHRISJERICHO2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/CHRISJERICHO2.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=DeanAmbrose.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/DeanAmbrose.jpg" border="0" alt="Dean Ambrose"></a>

“ I’m going to keep this short and sweet. Punk, for tonight and tonight only, I am not going to care about what you do or say because I other things on my mind. Alberto Del Rio, up until last week, you were just a minor irritation, you were not causing me any problems, but you stuck your oar in and now you will be punished. Alberto tonight, I am making it a point of order to inflict pain and suffering upon you and then and only then will we be even. Good Night.”

Jericho walked backstage as Ambrose laughed at Del Rio from the ramp and we head to commercial break.

Alex Riley versus Jack Swagger

<a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=AlexRIley6.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/AlexRIley6.jpg" border="0" alt="Alex Riley"></a> Vs <a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=jackswagger3.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/jackswagger3.jpg" border="0" alt="Jack Swagger"></a>

Swagger and Riley are both looking to get back to their winning ways here tonight and both men give a good strong showing of their abilities. The match was very even but when Vickie Guerrero got involved, Swagger took control. The All-American American dominated proceedings but Riley out of nowhere made a huge comeback, hitting a quick DDT and following it up with a TKO, he covers Swagger, but Guerrero distracts the referee! Riley gets up to argue with Vickie, but Swagger manages to pull himself to his feet and hit a brutal German Suplex. Swagger took advantage and locked in his Ankle Lock submission hold, Riley bravely held out as long as he could, but ultimately had to tap out.

Winner: Jack Swagger

<a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=DolphZiggler2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/DolphZiggler2.jpg" border="0" alt="Dolph Ziggler"></a>

Backstage, Matt Striker is standing by with a Dolph Ziggler who is literally standing on his head.

Striker: Hello, I’m here with “The Show-Off” Dolph Ziggler.

Dolph gets back into a standing position

Dolph: Hey, Matt. Thanks, but you’re surplus to my requirements

Dolph shoves Striker away and takes the microphone

“So here’s the deal, WWE Universe. I’m here to show the world exactly how great I am, in fact that I exhibit greatness at every turn, when I wake up, when I brush my teeth, when I hit the gym, I am great. Now, there is no better way of showing you this than by winning the Royal Rumble, which is exactly 6 days away and you know something weird, I actually kind of want to get number one, just so I can show off by throwing twenty nine other guys other the top rope and heading to Wrestlemania as the greatest #1 contender in history.”

Dolph shoots the camera a quick grin before walking off screen.

Air Boom & Ted DiBiase versus Epico, Primo & Jinder Mahal

<a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=EvanBourne2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/EvanBourne2.jpg" border="0" alt="Evan Bourne"></a><a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=KofiKingston10.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/KofiKingston10.jpg" border="0" alt="Kofi Kingston"></a><a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=TedDiBiaseJr2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/TedDiBiaseJr2.jpg" border="0" alt="Ted DiBiase"></a> Vs <a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=epico3.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/epico3.jpg" border="0" alt="Epico"></a><a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=Primo2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/Primo2.jpg" border="0" alt="Primo"></a><a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=JinderMahal.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/JinderMahal.jpg" border="0" alt="Jinder Mahal"></a>

This match brought together two big rivalries from opposing brands for a big six man conflict here on Raw. The match was initially even as they come, with Kofi Kingston and Primo trading blow for blow and then DiBiase and Jinder doing the same. Eventually there came a turning point where Epico, Primo and Mahal used underhanded means to keep Evan Bourne in the ring and well and truly wearing him down, Mahal especially showed his vicious nature, deliberating trying to injure Bourne’s knee. The match went on and Bourne stuggled valiantly, Epico went to finish it all with a Back Stabber, but perhaps showing his inexperience, Bourne was close enough to grab the top rope and instead Epico crashed down to the mat, Bourne leapt to his corner and made the hot tag to Kofi Kingston. Kofi burst in and cleaned house, he quickly connected with a Trouble In Paradise on Epico and made the cover for the win.

Winners: Air Boom & Ted DiBiase.

We come back from a commercial break as The Miz makes his way down to the ring, Miz takes a microphone from ring announcer Justin Roberts and begins spouting

<a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=TheMiz6.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/TheMiz6.jpg" border="0" alt="The Miz"></a>

“ You know in 2011, I accomplished so so much, I was the WWE Champion, I headlined and won at Wrestlemania, I damn near retired John Morrison and R-Truth, I was virtually Raw’s MVP for twelve whole months. Flash forward to the first raw of 2012 and due to some fluke I lose a #1 contenders match to Alberto Del Rio. Now everyone gets lucky once in a while and that night just wasn’t my night, but the board of directors has decided that all my accomplishments just aren’t enough to earn me a title shot, no, I have to go through the Royal Rumble to get my shot at the gold. Well, I will, I will beat twenty nine other men and I will show the board that I’m…….AWESOME!”

Miz throws the microphone down and huffs backstage

Alicia Fox versus Natalya

<a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=AliciaFox3.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/AliciaFox3.jpg" border="0" alt="Alicia Fox"></a> Vs <a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=NATALYA3.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/NATALYA3.jpg" border="0" alt="Natalya"></a>

This divas match is pretty good as most go. It’s a back and forth match, which starts with Natalya completely dominating, with her comrades Beth Phoenix & Kaitlyn cheer her on. Eventually, Alicia manages to fight back into contention and gets a good run going, until Phoenix distracts her, Natalya hits a big suplex and goes to finish things with a Sharp Shooter…but Fox rolls her into a pinfall! 1…2…..3! Fox Wins!

Winner: Alicia Fox

<a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=BethPhoenix2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/BethPhoenix2.jpg" border="0" alt="Beth Phoenix"></a><a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=Kaitlyn2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/Kaitlyn2.jpg" border="0" alt="Kaitlyn"></a>

The match had ended and Alicia was celebrating, but very quickly her perfect night was ruined as Beth Phoenix and Kaitlyn jumped her, they put the boots in before Beth screamed at her that she would never wear the Divas title again

<a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=JohnLaurinatisi.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/JohnLaurinatisi.jpg" border="0" alt="John Laurinaitis"></a><a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=JOHNCENA2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/JOHNCENA2.jpg" border="0" alt="John Cena"></a>

Backstage we see John Cena go into John Laurinaitis’ office. Once inside he requests a match with Kane at the Royal Rumble. Laurinaitis says that it sounds like a great idea, but that the Board of Directors aren’t going to allow Cena to have a match and a spot in the Rumble and he’d have to forfeit one of them. Cena looks torn, but ultimately tells John that he’ll forfeit his spot in the Royal Rumble, Laurinaitis says he’s sorry to hear that but does indeed grant Cena a match against Kane at the Royal Rumble Pay Per View.

CM Punk is preparing to leave the arena, when he is stopped by Josh Matthews.

<a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=CMPunk42.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/CMPunk42.jpg" border="0" alt="CM Punk"></a>

Josh: Punk, Punk, before you leave can you let the WWE universe know your thoughts on the recent rivalry that’s erupted between Chris Jericho and Alberto Del Rio over your WWE Championship.

Punk: Well Josh, you see I really don’t care. Right now, I don’t like Alberto Del Rio and I don’t like Chris Jericho and I doubt that’s ever to going change, but as far as them not liking each other, well I’ll let them have their brawls and their angry words and then I’ll take advantage and beat them when they’re hurt and that way, I will be your WWE champion for many moons to come. Night, Josh

Punk leaves the arena as Josh ushers us back to ringside for our next bout.

Santino Marella versus Cody Rhodes

<a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=SantinoMarella4.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/SantinoMarella4.jpg" border="0" alt="Santino Marella"></a> Vs <a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=CodyRhodes16.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/CodyRhodes16.jpg" border="0" alt="Cody Rhodes"></a>

This non-title match is a pretty one sided affair and Santino never really gets out of the block. As soon as the bell rings, Cody jumps Santino and beats him down into the corner repeatedly. Santino tries to fight back, but there really is no chance and Rhodes finishes things off with a Cross Rhodes before an easy cover for the win.

Winner: Cody Rhodes

.

<a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=ALBERTODELRIO2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/ALBERTODELRIO2.jpg" border="0" alt="Alberto Del Rio"></a><a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=DeanAmbrose.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/DeanAmbrose.jpg" border="0" alt="Dean Ambrose"></a>

Alberto Del Rio is shown walking backstage, when he stops suddenly, the camera zooms out to show Dean Ambrose standing in front of him. Ambrose mouths off at Del Rio, and Del Rio goes to hit him, but out of nowhere, Chris Jericho attacks him from behind, together Ambrose and Jericho beat the tar out of Del Rio, ending when they throw him throw a catering table, leaving him battered and bruised just days before his WWE Title match.

This match brings together six of the top superstars WWE has to offer and gives them a tantalising prize to fight for. The match begins with the normal scramble that generally takes place in any form of battle royal, with all six men taking the opportunity to feel out their opponents as well as desperately trying to stay as far from the top rope as possible. The first man to go over the top rope is Mason Ryan, who is double teamed by Dolph Ziggler and Wade Barrett and the big man tumbles over and out. The match goes on and Miz, Wade and Dolph form an uneasy alliance to dominate Ryder and Orton, however this alliance quickly crumbles as Miz takes seizes his opportunity and dumps Ziggler over the top rope. The final four men all battle bravely and Ryder looked to hit the Rough Ryder on Barrett, Wade however smartly ducked and then used his momentum to throw Ryder over and out of contention.

The final three men left are Miz, Randy Orton & Wade Barrett. They all stare each other down and Miz and Wade leap on Orton, beating him brutally and severly, Orton looks well and truly out of it, especially considering he only recently suffered a brutal beating at the hands of Barrett. Ulitmately though, the uneasy alliance crumbles for a second time as Barrett hits a devastating Winds Of Change on Miz, before hoisting him out of the match. Wade then takes his time and lifts the injured Orton up for a Wasteland, which he once again delivers from inside the ring, sending Randy flying over the top rope to the outside and picking up a huge victory.

Winner: Wade Barrett

Hey, the predictions for the final show before the Royal Rumble is above, so any predictions are welcome.

Speaking of predictions, I will be starting some form of prediction contest after the Rumble. I'm not sure yet how long each contest will last, but likely it'll be three months (or after 3 PPV's). I'm also not sure what sort of prize there will be, but it might be something like choosing a wrestler to sign, or call someone from development, form a tag team or maybe even choose a draft pick.

Also, I'm very welcome of all comments, and I realise that the diary isn't perfect, but hopefully I can build toward it getting better as I get back into the habit of writing regularly. Any constructive criticsm is very welcome, please tell me what you like and what you don't, who you like and who you don't and what you'd like to see.

Thanks very much.

As stated above, you don't really need to change anything, your writeups are fine and very easy to follow. And to be quite honest, while I do enjoy an incentive in prediction contests, I don't really like the eventual winner's 'intrusion' of sorts on your pre-made plans. Yes, it is nice to let us become more interactive but I've always enjoyed watching what the author of the dynasty does rather than what the fans do.

Thanks, that's good to know. As far as predictions, if that's the general consensus, i'll gladly just run a regular contest, thanks for the input. I will start to keep a record of predictions, probably after the Royal Rumble.

As far as feedback goes, I'd say just stick with what you're doing! I find it a very entertaining read. Sorry that's not overly constructive!

Ha, It might not be too constructive, but it's nice to hear, thanks.

Also thanks for the predictions and feedback in general. The show should be up late tonight, early tomorrow.

Smackdown begins with our usual ballyhoo as Michael Cole, Booker T and Josh Matthews welcome us to the action. We begin with the World’s Strongest Man, Mark Henry making his way to the ring, a mind set on vengeance and pain. He quickly reaches the ring and Justin Roberts soon hands over his microphone, likely out of sheer terror.

<a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=MarkHenry06.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/MarkHenry06.jpg" border="0" alt="Mark Henry"></a>

“ Ever since, My title was taken from me unfairly by The Big Show I have been treated like a fool. It seems like the people on this show seem to forget that I could crush them like a twig. I dominated Kane, Randy Orton, Sheamus, and I was only stopped when that coward, Big Show nearly cost me the use of my legs. Luckily at the Royal Rumble all this ends, when I crush that fool, Daniel Bryan and I once again become World Heavyweight Champion.”

Henry is stopped before he leaves, by none other than Raw’s Alberto Del Rio!

<a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=ALBERTODELRIO2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/ALBERTODELRIO2.jpg" border="0" alt="Alberto Del Rio"></a>

Del Rio saunters out with his own microphone, talking down the ramp.

“ You know, Mark, you’re right, the people in charge of the WWE forget so quickly, they forget that I had the greatest debut year in the WWE since Brock Lesnar, so soon they all forgot that won the Money in The Bank, The Royal Rumble and The WWE Championship twice. I was thrown aside, to make way for idiots and fools and I had to fight my way back into contention, but at the Royal Rumble, I reclaim my place at the top of the mountain and regain the WWE Championship. As for tonight, me and Mark, we are going to prove to the WWE universe that their champions are nothing but phonies and we are the true champions of the WWE.”

Del Rio and Henry look proud of their own boasting, but unsurprisingly, the World Heavyweight Champion, Daniel Bryan makes his way onto the ramp, before motioning and then bringing out, the WWE Champion, CM Punk. Daniel speaks first

<a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=DanielBryan2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/DanielBryan2.jpg" border="0" alt="Daniel Bryan"></a><a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=CMPunk42.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/CMPunk42.jpg" border="0" alt="CM Punk"></a>

“ First off, Mark, I’m glad you’re confident, because it’ll make the moment when I force you to tap out all the more embarrassing for you, secondly if you want to try and crush me, then go for it, have a great try, but sooner or later, you will slip up and when you do, I will lock in the Lebelle lock and eventually, you will tap. “

Bryan hands Punk the microphone

“ Well, Alberto, you sure have got quite a CV, Money in The Bank, Royal Rumble, WWE Champion, but there’s one thing you’ve not crossed off your list and that is beating me in a one on one match, and if I’m honest, I don’t see that changing any time soon. Now Mark, as far as you’re concerned, for someone it took almost fifteen years to win a world title, you’re not all that dominant, considering that me and Daniel took under three years to win our first world titles, I think that should prove something to everyone about who the real champions are, and we’ll prove it again, tonight when we kick your asses in the main event”

Punk drops his microphone, as the two teams stare each out and we go to a break.

Yoshi Tatsu versus Hunico

<a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=YOSHI.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/YOSHI.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> Vs <a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=Hunico2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/Hunico2.jpg" border="0" alt="Hunico"></a>

We start Smackdown with two of our International competitors in some exciting action . Hunico does keep Yoshi down for a long portion of the match, allowing him to choose the pace and flow of the bout and keep control over the Japanese superstar. Unfortunately for Hunico, he also seems to undersestimate Yoshi’s speed advantage and Tatsu utilises his quickness to make his way back into the match. Yoshi connects with a series of chops, before a massive Roundhouse Kick, the match seems to be slipping away from Hunico, but his friend, Camacho distracts the referee, allowing Hunico to connect with a Low-Blow and then rolling Tatsu up for a cheap victory.

Winner: Hunico

Backstage, Smackdown’s newest superstar Derrick Bateman was is backstage for a promo

<a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=DerrickBateman3.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/DerrickBateman3.jpg" border="0" alt="Derrick Bateman"></a>

“Hey I’m Derrick Bateman and I’ve already done some pretty weird stuff in the WWE, I went on a date with the Bella Twins, I fought Alberto Del Rio, I battled with Johnny Curtis over a woman, but all that stuffs behind me now that I’m officially Smackdown’s newest superstar and it’s got me amped up! I’m even more amped up now that Teddy Long just awarded me a spot in this years Royal Rumble, but I’m not going to be a Bushwhacker Luke or a Warlord, no way I’m going to be a Shawn Michaels….. I don’t mean I’m going to throw someone through the Barber’s Shop Window… I mean I’m gonna last real long and win

There’s a long pause

Good talk, WWE Universe. Good Talk”

<a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=AliciaFox3.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/AliciaFox3.jpg" border="0" alt="Alicia Fox"></a><a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=JustinGabriel4.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/JustinGabriel4.jpg" border="0" alt="Justin Gabriel"></a><a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=HeathMiller2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/HeathMiller2.jpg" border="0" alt="Heath Slater"></a>

Justin Gabriel is backstage talking to Alicia Fox when suddenly Heath Slater walks up to him. Slater says that they’ve both been on winning streaks and it’s just like the old times, Gabriel stares at him for what seems like an eternity before walking away.

The Usos versus Johnny Curtis & Tyson Kidd

<a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=JimmyUso3.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/JimmyUso3.jpg" border="0" alt="Jimmy Uso"></a><a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=JeyFatu.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/JeyFatu.jpg" border="0" alt="Jey Uso"></a> Vs <a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=JohnnyCurtis22.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/JohnnyCurtis22.jpg" border="0" alt="Johnny Curtis"></a><a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=TysonKidd2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/TysonKidd2.jpg" border="0" alt="Tyson Kidd"></a>

This match pits a very experienced team against two loose allies in some exciting action. Kidd and Curtis functioned very well in the match, showing chemistry that wouldn’t be expected from a team so inexperienced and together, utilising cheap tactics, they did manage to keep control of the match for some time, ultimately however Jimmy and Jey gave them a taste of their own medicine, by swapping places and rolling Kidd up for a quick win.

Winners: The Usos

We go to Matt Striker who is standing by backstage.

<a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=SHEAMUS3.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/SHEAMUS3.jpg" border="0" alt="Sheamus"></a>

Striker: Hey I’m Matt Striker and I’m here with The Great White, Sheamus.

Sheamus steps into frame as the crowd roars

Striker: Sheamus, we’re just three days away from the Royal Rumble match, do you have any particular techniques or plans to ensure victory in this monumental match?

Sheamus: Well, fella, it’s real simple, what I’m going to do is beat the snot out of everyone in the match, lift them up above me head and throw them over that top rope, and if I have to I’ll repeat it twenty nine times.

Matt laughs

Striker: Well that’s one way to do it. Now, who do you see as your main opposition in the Rumble match itself?

Sheamus: Well there’s no end to the quality of my opponents, Randy Orton, Wade Barrett, Big Show, and you know what, they’re all great, but they’re not the Great White and that’s who’s winning come Sunday.

Sheamus leaves and Striker sends us back to Josh, Michael and Booker

AJ versus Kaitlyn

<a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=AJLee2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/AJLee2.jpg" border="0" alt="AJ"></a> Vs <a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=Kaitlyn2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/Kaitlyn2.jpg" border="0" alt="Kaitlyn"></a>

This is a classic battle between former friends, now bitter enemies. The match is pretty dominant, with Kaitlyn using her strength advantage to man (or maybe woman) handle her opponent. AJ tries to use her quickness, but is reapetedly cut off by Kaitlyn, who has clearly been training hard with her mentors, Phoenix and Natalya. Kaitlyn goes to end it all, with her own version of a Glam Slam, but AJ shocks her with a roll up…1….2……3! AJ Wins!

Winner: AJ

Afterwards a furious Kaitlyn and her mentor, Beth Phoenix get into the ring and look ready to pounce on AJ, Luckily Alicia Fox ran out from the back and Phoenix and Kaitlyn made the choice to leave rather than try a two on two battle.

Ted DiBiase versus Cody Rhodes

<a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=TedDiBiaseJr2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/TedDiBiaseJr2.jpg" border="0" alt="Ted DiBiase"></a> Vs <a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=CodyRhodes16.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/CodyRhodes16.jpg" border="0" alt="Cody Rhodes"></a>

The two men in this match are former partners and both are desperate for momentum heading toward the Royal Rumble. Rhodes suffered a loss in last weeks Main Event, whilst DiBiase has been looking to head up the card. The match itself is a good one, with some real action between the two men, whilst Rhodes is constantly taking shortcuts in order to keep on top of the match, DiBiase manages to fight back with real vigour. DiBiase throws Rhodes out of the ring and into the barricade and shows a real vicious streak, likely due to his real dislike for Rhodes. Ultimately the match ends back in the ring, DiBiase goes for a Dream Street, but fails to connect and Rhodes takes advantage to hit a Beautiful Disaster and follows it up with a Cross Rhodes. The 3 count is elementary.

Winner: Cody Rhodes

<a href="

http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=TheodoreLong.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/TheodoreLong.jpg" border="0" alt="Theodore Long"></a><a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=BigShow095.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/BigShow095.jpg" border="0" alt="Big Show"></a>

We head to our GM, Teddy Long in his office. Long is soon joint by “The World’s Largest Athlete” Big Show. Long says that he completely understands that Show has issues with both Daniel Bryan and Mark Henry and that it must be very frustrating for him to not be in the World title match at the Rumble. Show agrees completely, but Long interrupts telling him that he doesn’t want Show to have any presence during the match and if he attempts to involve himself in any way, he will be forced to suspend him until after Wrestlemania. Show looks frustrated but ultimately leaves without venting his frustration

<a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=WADEBARRETT2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/WADEBARRETT2.jpg" border="0" alt="Wade Barrett"></a><a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=RandyOrton3.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/RandyOrton3.jpg" border="0" alt="Randy Orton"></a>

We head to the parking lot, Wade Barrett is on the phone, he’s bragging about how easy it was to win the coveted #30 spot in the Royal Rumble and how it’s virtually assured that he’s going to Wrestlemania, when out of nowhere, Randy Orton strikes and the Viper pounds Wade, whipping him into cars and assaulting the Brit, until trainers and agents come in and split the two men up, Wade screaming that Orton will pay.

Daniel Bryan & CM Punk versus Alberto Del Rio & Mark Henry

<a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=DanielBryan2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/DanielBryan2.jpg" border="0" alt="Daniel Bryan"></a><a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=CMPunk42.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/CMPunk42.jpg" border="0" alt="CM Punk"></a> Vs <a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=ALBERTODELRIO2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/ALBERTODELRIO2.jpg" border="0" alt="Alberto Del Rio"></a><a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=MarkHenry06.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/MarkHenry06.jpg" border="0" alt="Mark Henry"></a>

Our main event of the evening pits our WWE Champion and the World Heavyweight Champion against their respective challengers at the Royal Rumble, Alberto Del Rio and Mark Henry. The match itself is interesting as both challengers want to battle the champs right here, with Henry desperate to show his domination and Del Rio showing a rare bravery in being willing to stand toe to toe with Punk. All in all, it is a match that is intitially very fast paced with Del Rio, Bryan and Punk all putting in stellar performances to get the crowd off their feet. Del Rio eventually makes the tag to the behemoth Mark Henry. Henry hits the ring like a freight train, he throws Bryan around the ring, and clotheslines Punk off the apron, Henry continues to beat Bryan all about the place, dominating the affair, finally he goes to ends things with a massive big splash, but Bryan rolls out of the way! Henry is stunned and wanders toward Punk, who delivers a massive kick to the skull of Henry!, Bryan sneaks up and shocks the big man with a roll-up…1….2…..3! Bryan upsets the World’s Strongest Man just mere hours before their encounter at the Royal Rumble!

Winners: CM Punk & Daniel Bryan

Del Rio and Punk continue to brawl after the match, but Mark Henry snaps, bitterly angry at being rolled up by Bryan. He attacks Daniel and gets him ready for a World’s Strongest Slam, but luckily for the World Heavyweight Champion, The Big Show comes to his aid. Show hits the ring and hits Henry square in the Jaw with a WMD knockout punch, afterwards Bryan celebrates with his title, but when he turns his back, Show seems to think about hitting Daniel with another WMD, but apparently thinks better of it and leaves Bryan to celebrate as we go off the air.

Tag Team Title Match: Air Boom versus Epico & Primo

These two teams have been seemingly constantly brawling for months here in the WWE and the match begins with all four men brawling in the ring, leaving the official to force them to break it up and begin the match properly. Kingston and Primo began the bout and Primo quickly took control, the match went on and the Puerto Rican team began to control and near enough dominate the match, with Epico and Primo quickly and smartly tagging in and out, as well as Rosa Mendes at ringside making her presence felt on more than one occasion, the match looked to be all but over when Epico went for a backstabber, but Kofi grabbed the top rope! Epico collapsed to the floor and Kofi dived to Bourne making the quick tag, Bourne flew into action, hitting a massive hurricanrana on Primo and then another on Epico! Bourne went to the top rope, looking to hit an Air Bourne on the prone Epico, but Rosa Mendes got up on the apron, the official quickly took charge and sent Mendes to the back, but as she protested, Primo crotched Bourne on the top rope. Epico followed this up with a massive superplex from the top rope, he made a cover, but only a two count. Evan and Epico were both looking tired, but Epico slipped first and missed a clothesline attempt, Bourne leapt to Kofi and got the tag! Kingston burst in and hit a big roundhouse kick, followed by the Boom Drop! Kofi motions to Evan and gives him the tag, Bourne ascends to the top rope and comes flying down with the Air Bourne, as Kingston makes sure Primo doesn’t get involved, the referee makes the three count.

Winners and STILL WWE Tag Team Champions: Air Boom

WWE Divas Title Match: Beth Phoenix versus Alicia Fox

<a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=BethPhoenix2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/BethPhoenix2.jpg" border="0" alt="Beth Phoenix"></a> Vs <a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=AliciaFox3.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/AliciaFox3.jpg" border="0" alt="Alicia Fox"></a>

Fox has gotten the one up on Beth for several weeks now, but tonight Phoenix looks to end this rivalry once and for all. The Divas champion comes out with her Divas of Doom team mates, Natalya and Kaitlyn, but the referee is clearly unhappy and rules that they cannot be out at ringside with her, Beth is furious at this and takes it out on Fox when the bell rings. Phoenix dominates the early match, looking to prove that she is truly the superior athlete and she seemingly is, throwing Alicia around like she is nothing. However, this cannot last and Phoenix’s confidence is very nearly her downfall, when Alicia attempts a roll-up, luckily for Beth, she manages to kick out on 2 ½ . Fox gets a clear confidence boost and takes it to the Divas Champion, she went for a big DDT, but Beth powered it into a crazy suplex! Fox was clearly groggy and couldn’t defend herself against Phoenix, who quickly finished off the affair with a Glam Slam to retain her title.

Winner and STILL WWE Divas Champion: Beth Phoenix

World Heavyweight Title Match: Daniel Bryan versus Mark Henry

<a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=DanielBryan2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/DanielBryan2.jpg" border="0" alt="Daniel Bryan"></a> Vs <a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=MarkHenry06.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/MarkHenry06.jpg" border="0" alt="Mark Henry"></a>

This is a true David versus Goliath bout, with the mammoth Mark Henry looking to destroy his opponent and World Heavyweight champion, Daniel Bryan. The early minutes of the match certainly reflect this as Henry quickly negates any speed advantage Bryan might have by hitting a variety of devastatingly powerful moves to slow down and very nearly totally defeat the World Heavyweight Champion. Henry eventually takes the match to the outside, trying to finish Bryan off for good, he soon spies the announce table and lifts Bryan up above his head, looking to put him through the table itself! Bryan manages to fight out, and stuns Henry with a Russian leg Sweep into the table, stunning the World’s Strongest Man, Bryan quickly returns to the ring, only to exit it immediately with a suicide dive that further stuns Henry. Henry manages to get back to the ring on a seven count, but is straight away hit with a dropkick by Bryan, followed by a succession of elbows to the skull, Henry sits up, only to eat some stiff kicks to the chest, followed by a devastating shot to the skull. Henry pulls himself up, but he clearly appears groggy and begins to miss his strikes, Bryan plays the waiting game and leaps into action, connecting further with MMA styles strikes to take Henry to his knees, Bryan finally seizes his opportunity and does it, he locks in the LeBelle Lock! John Cena versus Kane

<a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=JOHNCENA2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/JOHNCENA2.jpg" border="0" alt="John Cena"></a> Vs <a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=kane22.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/kane22.jpg" border="0" alt="Kane"></a>

Cena and Kane have been battling long and hard all month. Kane is desperate for Cena to embrace the hate that surrounds him, whilst Cena wants nothing more than to rise above it all, but the second the bell rings, Cena attacks Kane with such ferocious force that it seems like he may well have given in to hate. Cena beats Kane like a crazed animal, and it appears that the Big Red Monster wasn’t anticipating this, as he struggles to get into the fight and is dominated like we have never seen before. Cena clotheslines Kane over the top rope and follows him to the floor, Kane manages to fight his way back into the match out here and sends Cena crashing into the Steel Steps, derailing all the momentum he had gained. Kane continues to brutalize Cena on the cold hard floor surrounding the ring, taking every opportunity to try to injure Cena’s back, mainly through a series of rams to the barriers, in fact the only time Kane stops his onslaught is by rolling into the ring to stop the ten count. Cena tries to get back into the fight, but is quickly stopped by a mammoth chokeslam from Kane on the outside! Kane retakes his position in the ring, expecting a count out win, but Cena rallies up and makes his way back to the ring in the nick of time. The match battles on with Cena and Kane giving it all they had, Kane hit a chokeslam, but Cena powered out, Cena returned with an Attitude Adjustment, but to the crowds shock, Kane got his shoulder up and the match continued. Cena couldn’t believe that Kane had kicked out, and lifted Kane up for another Attitude Adjustment, the crowd went crazy, but Cena wasn’t finished, he hit another AA and then another, as the crowd looked on in confusion, Cena locked in his STF and finally Kane gave up and submitted, but Cena refused to relinquish the hold, it took the referee yanking Cena’s arms away from Kane to finally end the match.

Winner: John Cena

John Cena stands delighted at finally defeating the Big Red Monster, Kane, but as the fans suddenly burst into cheers, Cena looks confused. That confusion is solved as he looks up to the titantron, where the Rock is looking back at him!

“ John Cena, you may well have just whooped that Big Red Excuse for a Monster and you may have still Rise above hate, as well as rising above cheers, but there is one thing you will never, ever do and that is to beat The Rock. Now listen closely Cena and listen good, there are nine, count them nine weeks until Wrestlemania, when finally, finally the Rock comes back to the WWE and proves that you are nothing more than a lame joking, knuckle shuffling, fruity pebble of a headline act and there is only one true superstar in the WWE and that is Me! If you smelllllllllll……what The Rock is cookin’ “

Cena stares back as The Rock fades from the screen and the fans let Cena know what they think of him.

<a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=CMPunk42.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/CMPunk42.jpg" border="0" alt="CM Punk"></a> Vs <a href="http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/?action=view&current=ALBERTODELRIO2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s202/alixstarr/ALBERTODELRIO2.jpg" border="0" alt="Alberto Del Rio"></a>

Punk and Del Rio have been engaged in an interesting rivalry, in some respects Del Rio has been engaged in an equally bitter feud with Chris Jericho, whilst Punk has been a keen observer. The match begins with both Punk and Del Rio hitting as hard as they possibly can and both going for quick covers in attempts to finish the match nice and early, but to no avail. Del Rio looks especially strong in the match as he takes some top rope opportunities to truly showcase his Mexican heritage, but Punk battles his way back into the fight and the two men continue to throw everything at each other. In a rare act of frustration, Punk charges wildly at Del Rio, who uses Punk’s own momentum to send him shoulder first into the turnbuckle, Alberto acts quickly and syncs in a Cross Arm Breaker. Punk is in serious pain, and it looks like he’ll have to tap, but he digs down deep and crawls to the bottom rope, finally getting free, much to Del Rio’s chagrin. The match goes on, and Del Rio desperately tries to injure the shoulder of Punk and the Chicago native does begin to suffer from the punishment he is taking. Alberto goes for a kick to the skull, but Punk ducks, he pushes Del Rio into the ropes and rolls him up from behind..1…2..Kick Out! Del Rio scores with a second kick to the head and goes up to the top rope of the turnbuckle, but Punk is up, Punk runs up to nail Del Rio with his own kick to the skull. Del Rio flops down to the mat and Punk climbs up, and jumps, hitting a big flying elbow, he patiently waits as Del Rio gets to his feet, and does it, lifts him up and connects with the GTS! Punk collapses onto Del Rio…1….2….3. Punk does it! Punk retains his title as Del Rio rues his missed opportunity tonight.

Winner and STILL WWE Champion: CM Punk

Royal Rumble Match

The match begins with Announcing from the legendary Howard Finkel. Finkel runs down the rules of this year’s 30 man Royal Rumble and we eagerly await the unlucky man who drew #1 this year.

“I’m here to show the world, I’m here to show the World!.......Dolph Ziggler! Ziggler swaggers down to the ring with such confidence, you’d think he drew #30. Ziggler shows off to the crowd, even going into a full headstand while he awaits the #2 participant. And number two is……Justin Gabriel. The Cape Town Werewolf hits the ring much to the fans delight, the bell rings and Ziggler immediately points up to the Wrestlemania sign hung up high in the arena. The match begins very quick paced with Gabriel hitting a succession of quick maneuveurs to take Ziggler off guard, to the point he has to roll under the bottom rope to catch his breath. Ziggler is sent back into the match by the referee and the two men brawl until Yoshi Tatsu enters as number three. Yoshi and Gabriel form a quick alliance, with Yoshi smashing some tough kicks into Dolph’s chest, while Gabriel nails a big hurricanrana. Ziggler rallies back attempts to eliminate Gabriel, but Yoshi in turn tries to get Ziggler out, as Drew McIntyre enters the fray, McIntyre immediately makes an impact, nearly clotheslining Tatsu’s head off, before hurling the Japanese Star over the top rope and out of the match!

Yoshi Tatsu has been eliminated

McIntyre continues to aid Ziggler in his attempts to eliminate Gabriel, as NXT alumni Derrick Bateman runs down as the #5 entrant. Bateman’s first act is to hit a dropkick on McIntyre and Ziggler, shocking and knocking down both men, Bateman continues to battle as we countdown to #6…..Sheamus, the Great White! Sheamus storms the ring, he delivers clotheslines to Bateman and Gabriel, he powerslams McIntyre and he drills Ziggler with a massive kick that leaves Dolph convulsing on the mat. Tyler Reks comes in at #7 and trades some big blows with Sheamus, which ultimately leaves Sheamus standing tall, as #8, The Big Show enters the match, Sheamus and Show stare each other down and grin at the prospect of a brawl, to show off, Show grabs Reks and tosses him out of the match, before Sheamus and Show begin to whale on each other.

Tyler Reks has been eliminated

Sheamus and Show brawl as the rest of the competitors try to keep out of their way. This is soon stopped by the #9 entrant, IC Champion, Cody Rhodes, Rhodes enters the match and rallies the other competitors to try to eliminate the massive Sheamus & Big Show, they all attack but are soon pushed back and in the fray, Justin Gabriel was eliminated by Sheamus

The match settles back down as #10 Johnny Curtis enters the rumble. Soon after, Cody Rhodes manages to eliminate Derrick Bateman.

Curtis tries valiantly to eliminate Sheamus and Show, only to receive a barrage of shots from both men and he crumbles to the mat, before trying to hide behind McIntyre and Ziggler. #11 is the master of the Cobra, Santino Marella! Marella enters to a huge pop and almost instantly hits a Cobra on Johnny Curtis! Again, Curtis crawls away to hide from elimination and Marella begins to brawl with Ziggler. The countdown is on and the #12 entrant is…..Christian! Christian back from injury sneaks into the ring and immediately tips Santino over and out of the match.

Santino Marella has been eliminated

Christian celebrates his elimation, before joing McIntyre & Ziggler in attempting to get Sheamus out of the match, Mason Ryan enters at #13 and the Welshman straight away helps out Sheamus in throwing McIntyre and Ziggler off him and to the mat, Ryan takes these two on, while Sheamus powers back into action, in the process hurling Johnny Curtis over the top rope.

#14 is Hunico who comes out with his bodyguard, Camacho. Hunico strikes away at Ryan when he gets to the ring, but soon Ryan, Sheamus and Big Show seem to come together as a unit and fight back against the likes of Hunico, McIntyre, Ziggler and Christian. This battle is still ongoing and Christian is clinging to the top rope, when The Miz Enters at number #15. The Miz causes a momentary distraction in the ring, which gives Sheamus ample time to connect with a Brogue Kick so powerful it knocks Drew McIntyre over the top rope and out of the match!

Drew McIntyre has been eliminated.

The Miz quickly leaps into action and begins to try to score an elimination on Sheamus, his efforts are in full swing, when he is interrupted by entrant #16, his former protégé, Alex Riley! Riley runs down to the ring and brawls ferociously with his former mentor. Meanwhile, Mason Ryan seemingly has Dolph Ziggler on the ropes, he seeks to end it with a huge lariat and charges at Dolph, who pulls down the top rope and watches as Ryan sails over the top rope and out of this year’s rumble.

Mason Ryan has been eliminated

Soon after this, Tyson Kidd enters at #17 and delivers a big kick to A-Ry, this allows The Miz to dump his former follower over and out of the match.

The eight men continued to fight away in the ring as the clock ticked down to reveal Randy Orton as entrant #18! Orton leapt into action, hitting Kidd and Ziggler both with RKO’s within seconds and throwing Hunico over the top rope to score his first elimination of the night.

Orton dominated proceedings in the match, as the fresh man taking on all the weary opponents, and #19 was a welcome return to William Regal. Regal and Orton traded some stiff blows with Regal showing he hasn’t lost a beat, the two were still brawling as #20 Jack Swagger made his way into the match. Swagger quickly teamed up with his weary stablemate, Dolph Ziggler and the two beat down Regal and Orton, with Swagger pressing Regal up above his head in a great feat of strength, before eliminating the Englishman.

William Regal has been eliminated

Swagger and Ziggler continued their attack on Orton, with Tyson Kidd joining them, but they made the mistake of underestimating the Viper who delivered two shocking RKO’s to Dolph and Swagger, before a third to Kidd, who he then proceeded to hurl over and out of the match

Tyson Kidd has been eliminated.

Orton however was quickly pounced upon by Christian, Miz and Rhodes, three men with real history with the Viper, they tried to tear into Randy, but the Big Show came to his aid, pounding away on his three foes, unluckily for him, he didn’t see Swagger and Ziggler sneak up behind him and using their combined strength, push Show over the top rope and out of the contest.

Big Show has been eliminated

Show looks furious and shocked at losing his chance to headline Wrestlemania and finally snaps, hitting various referees and beginning to tear up the set, before breaking down into tears and walking to the back, seemingly heartbroken. The match gets back into it’s rhythm only to be quickly broken by a familiar retort as number #21 entered “THE TRUTH HAS SET ME FREE”, Miz suddenly looks up in terror as his former team mate R-Truth sprints from backstage, he launches at The Miz, clubbing away with blow after blow, while everyone else does nothing to stop him, Truth quickly eliminated the Miz, but such was his fury, that he left the ring himself, to continue to inflict punishment on the man who betrayed him three months earlier.

The Miz & R-Truth have been eliminated

The next few minutes are fairly inconspicuous, as #1 entrant, Dolph Ziggler tries to get some rest, while Christian, Rhodes and Swagger all try to take on Orton and Sheamus, Michael McGillicutty enters at #22 and is soon followed by fellow Nexus alumni Heath Slater at #23. The two men add some liveliness to the affair, but McGillicutty is soon eliminated by Orton and Slater is tossed around by Sheamus

As the particpants continue to battle on, number #24 enters and it’s a man everyone wants to see….Chris Jericho. Jericho is accompanied by his protégé, Dean Ambrose, who hollers for his at ringside. Jericho soon attacks everyone in sight with a vicious streak not seen from Jericho for many years. In fact, quickly after his entrance, Jericho alone stands tall in the middle of the ring. Slowly but surely the other competitors shake the cobwebs from their heads and get back into the fray, as Curt Hawkins enters at #25. Hawkins tries to make some eliminations but with no real effect, he is affected though, when his former tag partner and current US Champion, Zack Ryder enters at #26 and straight away connects with a Rough Ryder to Hawkins, Ryder celebrates as Jericho sneakily eliminates Hawkins from the match.

Curt Hawkins has been eliminated

Ryder and Jericho begin to brawl as Ryder looks to eliminate the multi-time world champion and Jinder Mahal enters at lucky #27. Jinder is however pretty unlucky as he is soon eliminated by the #28 entrant, Ted DiBiase

Jinder Mahal has been eliminated

Ten men are in the ring and they continue in their efforts to win and head to Wrestlemania, each are close enough to taste it and as #29 David Otunga hits the ring, the announcers speculate wheter or not, there was some help from his close friend John Laurinaitis to get a prime number. Pretty quickly though, the majority of the ring turns against Otunga, all hitting him hard, Sheamus connects with a big brogue kick, Orton hits an RKO and Ryder follows up with a Rough Ryder for good measure and Otunga is tossed from the ring by Ryder.

With no more entrants, the field begins to get desperate, throwing everything at each other in a desperate attempt to win big, Sheamus is the first amongst the bunch to get lucky, eliminating Jack Swagger

Christian quickly tries to take advantage and comes inches away from eliminating his long time enemy Sheamus, as he attempts this though, Zack Ryder takes his opportunity and eliminates Christian!

Sheamus comes back into his own and hurls Rhodes and Ziggler into one another, taking both men down, but Wade Barrett steps up to the plate and the two trade blows, they put it all on the line, but when Rhodes gets involved, but attacking Sheamus, Wade takes his chance and flips Sheamus up and out.

Quickly Rhodes and Barrett eye their next opponent and choose Zack Ryder, with the help of Dolph Ziggler, the three men launch into an assault, but Ryder gives as good as he gets and hurls fists at Barrett and Rhodes, successfully fighting off both men, but not noticing quickly enough as Ziggler leaps up and hits a Zig-Zag before throwing Ryder out of the match

At this point, Chris Jericho has been dormant for the last few minutes, springs into action, he drops Barrett and Ziggler with Code Breakers and as Rhodes turns around, he is clotheslines over the top rope and out of the match

Four men remain in the match, Dolph Ziggler who entered at #1, Randy Orton, the deadliest man in the WWE, the #30 entrant, Wade Barrett and none other than Chris Jericho. The four men charge at each other, with Jericho, Dolph and Wade all forming a “deadly” alliance to try to get rid of the Viper, however this alliance doesn’t last long and with a nod to the head, Jericho and Ziggler turn on Wade and together throw the Englishman out of the match.

As Ziggler celebrates, he too is turned upon and Jericho hits an out-of nowhere Codebreaker on the #1 entrant, Orton stares down Jericho as he picks Dolph up and tosses him out of the match.

Jericho and Orton burst into frenzied brawling, both desperate to head to Wrestlemania, both exhausted, but both keep fighting, but out of nowhere, Orton hits yet another RKO, Jericho is tossed over the top rope, but Dean Ambrose is there to stop Jericho from hitting the floor! Ambrose holds up Jericho long enough for Y2J, to muster the strength to re-enter, Orton turns around to see Jericho, but cannot stop him from hitting the Code Breaker! Jericho slowly drags Orton to his feet and dumps him over the top rope to win his first ever Royal Rumble!

Just caught and am loving this diary. Looking forward to see what happens leading up to Mania.

I agree, please don't have Triple H vs. Taker at Mania. Maybe have the person picked, but have it be a surprise for us readers.

Keep up the great work.

News and Notes

In odd news, Triple H is said to have developed a real affection for Hornswoggle and is apparently pushing for Hornswoggle to feature in more storylines.

Officials apparently have tried to use the Rumble match to build several stars and storylines building up to Wrestlemania, especially Dolph Ziggler who lasted from the very beginning to pretty much the very end.

In a dark match before the Royal Rumble, The Uso’s beat two NXT Rookies, Darren Young & Brad Maddox.

Both Jinder Mahal & Tyson Kidd both suffered injuries in last night’s Rumble Match. Mahal injured his hip when he was thrown over the top rope, whilst Kidd suffered some bruised ribs. Kidd shouldn’t miss any time, but Jinder may be out for a week or two.

There had been hope that either Rey Mysterio or Sin Cara could be back for Wrestlemania, but it’s now all but confirmed that neither man will be ready until Mid-April at the earliest.
