Strikeforce post-zuffa

Recommended Posts

Business man KP King has purchased Strikeforce from Zuffa in a major surprise.

Reached for comment, Dana White confirmed the sale as said "KP gets all the fighter contracts, the production people, the showtime deal. For what he paid he should damn sure get it."

Asked about a possible co-promotion situation White responded, "No, they are just another competitor now."

KP Productions will be issuing further information in the near future.

After the failed steroid tests of Cyborg and Mo, Zuffa actively sought a buyer for Strikeforce. Being a huge MMA fan and having ties to the television industry I felt I could make Strikeforce a continually viable competitor to the UFC.

The purchase includes all SF fighters under contract as well as the continued relationship with Showtime. We Will be airing 12 events a year for the next three years on the network.

The March 7th Rousey v Tate show will go on as planned.

Check back for further news including free agent signings and future matchups.

Rumors

Two legends of the sport are nearing deals with Strikeforce. One is a free agent at the moment and using his hiatus to decide whether to stay with the UFC or not.

The second is rumored to be near desperate for a contract, and will likely sign soon. (A rumored $500k show, no win bonus three fight deal with no co promotion.)
