He talks about how the monster has returned inside him and it's coming out tonight. It will come out in a number one contenders match against Jack Swagger and Cody Rhodes. The World's Largest Athlete will become the World's Largest World Heavyweight Champion!] [big Show is interrupted, though, by the presence of Jack Swagger walking out to the ring. Swagger steps inside and looks up toward The Big Show. Swagger says he is sick and tired of hearing about the monster inside Big Show. What people need to be talking about is an All American American like Jack Swagger. Because it is the All American American that is going to walk into the Royal Rumble with a shot against Edge. Big Show and Swagger look to be about to come to blows when a third man gets involved.] [That third man is the other man involved in the #1 contenders match tonight: "Dashing" Cody Rhodes. Rhodes starts by telling the television audience not to adjust their sets. He really is this dashing. And after tonight he is going to be the most Dashing #1 contender to the WWE World Heavyweight title. But he also states that he is not coming to the ring at this moment because he doesn't wish to get into a physical confrontation that might harm his good looks. In the ring, Big Show takes down Swagger with a headbutt and Swagger quickly exits the ring. Dolph, of course, has Vickie Guerrero at ringside with him and she is a source of constant distraction for both the fans and Kofi Kingston. There was a definite rapid pace to this which kept the excitement up, including where Kingston landed a cross body outside the ring on Ziggler. Ziggler manages to avoid a Trouble In Paradise in the ring and a distraction from Guerrero results in Ziggler hitting the Zig Zag on Kingston. Ziggler makes the cover: 1 -- 2 -- 3!] Winner: Dolph Ziggler (Via Pinfall @ 7:09; Dolph Ziggler retains the WWE Intercontinental title) Match Rating: C [Dolph Ziggler gets the win but he is not finished with Kofi Kingston. He pulls Kingston up and hits another Zig Zag before locking on the dreaded Sleeperhold! Kingston is already out and cannot fight against the hold, slumping down to the mat. Rhodes and Swagger teamed early on to try and bring the Big Show down but Big Show shoved both of them to the mat. Show had the advantage early on until some well-timed double teams by Rhodes and Swagger brought him down to the mat. Rhodes made a cover but Swagger pulled him off. This led to some interaction between Rhodes and Swagger with Rhodes coming off the better for it. Rhodes sends Swagger outside the ring and goes back to work on Big Show. Rhodes makes a cover following a knee drop: 1 -- 2 -- Big Kick Out! Big Show seems to be regaining his inner monster here. He catches Rhodes with a Choke Slam, with authority! But Jack Swagger enters the ring behind Big Show! Swagger shoves Show throw the ropes and outside the ring. The All American American turns his attention to Rhodes, hooking the Ankle Lock! Rhodes struggles and fights and tries to reach the ropes. Cody Rhodes is seen walking with a limp, placing pressure off his hurt ankle. He pauses in his step, looking angry with himself for losing earlier. A door opens suddenly and nails Rhodes in the face. Rhodes cries out and grabs his nose, falling to the ground. Ezekiel Jackson peeks his head out from the door and doesn't see Rhodes. Early on, the match has a fast pace to it, which really favors Rey Mysterio. Mysterio scores an early two count following a headscissors takedown. Del Rio exits the ring to catch a breather but Mysterio brings him down with a suicide dive! Mysterio pulls the action back inside the ring but is distracted by Ricardo Rodriguez. Del Rio seizes that moment to roll Mysterio into a small package, hooking the pants of Mysterio: 1 -- 2 -- 3!] [Del Rio picked up that first fall there and Mysterio seemed angry with that. But with anger came some carelessness and Del Rio was able to catch Mysterio when Rey went for a top rope cross body. Del Rio moved Mysterio and caught him with a shoulderbreaker. Del Rio focused on the arm of Mysterio throughout this encounter. Del Rio went for the Cross Arm Breaker but Mysterio reversed the set up and sent Del Rio to the mat. The crowd got behind Mysterio and Rey hit a dropkick to the back of Del Rio, sending him toward the ropes. Mysterio bounces off the ropes -- 619! Mysterio heads to the top turnbuckle -- diving splash! Mysterio hooks the leg: 1 -- 2 -- 3!] [The falls are now even at one apiece and Mysterio has the advantage. Mysterio heads to the top turnbuckle again but Ricardo Rodriguez distracts him. This gives Del Rio a chance to get to his feet and he slams Mysterio off the turnbuckles. Del Rio turns his attention back to the arm of the masked luchador. Del Rio picks up Mysterio and drops his arm on Del Rio's knees! The crowd boos as Mysterio shows the pain of that move. Del Rio grabs Mysterio -- Cross Arm Breaker! Two of the most known names within the wrestling world facing off in a Last Man Standing match. In a surprising twist, Paul Bearer returns to Smackdown, standing in the corner of Kane. Bearer is not alone. He also carries the mystical urn in his hands that he once used to control The Undertaker. The match between these two men is hard hitting and very physical and violent. Both men are able to take each other down and get counts but neither man can keep the other down. Edge seems like he might get the win following multiple chair shots to the skull of Kane. But Paul Bearer raises the urn and Kane somehow sits up, pulling himself to his feet to avoid the ten count. Kane brings Edge down with a Choke Slam in the ring but Edge uses the ropes and the fans in attendance to beat the ten count. The end comes outside the ring where Kane and Edge do battle. Edge pushes Kane against the padded guardrail and then nails him with a Spear! The Spear breaks the guardrail behind Kane. Edge, then, gets to his feet and grabs two chairs, giving a one man con-chair-to to Kane's right leg. Edge threatens Paul Bearer not to lift the urn and the ten count is made as Kane cannot get to his feet.] Winner: Edge (Via Last Man Standing @ 11:05; Edge retains the WWE World Heavyweight title) Match Rating: A http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/WWE%20Joint/Cards/JackSwagger.jpg [but that is not the end of the night. As Edge is handed the WWE World Heavyweight title belt, Jack Swagger comes running from the back. The new number one contender sneaks in behind Edge and hits him with what used to be called an 'Angle Slam' right onto the exposed concrete where mats had been pulled up earlier by Kane. Swagger moves in and grabs the ankle of Edge, twisting it sharply and screaming out a primal scream. The show ends with officials trying to seperate these two men.]</div></blockquote></div>

But I am actually enforcing the Wellness Policy for the most part. Though there has been some latitude for a more well-known star whose name will remain confidential for now. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> Though I will say that this wrestler is being fined over and over again. As far as the Royal Rumble goes, I will definitely have the 30 required. (Not even having any thoughts of doing the 40 man Royal Rumble. I am very much a traditionalist.) There will definitely be some signings, though I am doing my best to keep things mostly realistic. I say mostly because, well, honestly, there are a couple of out-there signings that I made. Riley continues to interfere in the match whenever Daniel Bryan seems to be getting control or when he is tossed outside the ring. The Miz catches Bryan with a swinging clothesline in the corner. He begins yelling at the United States Champion but Alex Riley yells at The Miz about the time. The Miz catches Bryan with an inverted facelock backbreaker into the neckbreaker slam. Morrison quickly re-enters the ring and the next few minutes are spent with Morrison and Cena utilizing quick tags in and out until Morrison gets caught in the corner of Punk and Gabriel.] [As Morrison gets caught in double teams by Punk and Gabriel, the rest of the Nexus walks out to the ringside area. Cena tries to rally the fans behind Morrison but the situation looks worse and worse for 'The Shaman Of Sexy.' CM Punk taunts John Cena several times, getting Cena to enter the ring and forcing the referee to turn his back in order to get Cena out. This distraction leads to more pain and punishment for Morrison. The tide turns only when CM Punk catches Morrison with that high knee in the corner but he gets thrown off the bulldog. [WWE Smackdown opens with a recap video from last week's show. The show focuses in on the main event of the evening where Edge defeats Kane in a Last Man Standing match with a one man con-chair-to to the leg. But the evening didn't end there. Instead, Edge was attacked from behind by new number one contender Jack Swagger. Swagger locks in the ankle lock and has to be pulled away by officials as the show comes to a close. This segues into the opening video for Smackdown.]

[YOU THINK YOU KNOW ME! 'Metalingus' by Alter Bridge brings out the WWE World World Heavyweight Champion Edge! The crowd goes absolutely wild as he comes out and gets on the microphone, first talking about his match last week with Kane. He talks about how absolutely brutal the Last Man Standing match is. Then he turns his focus to his new number one contender Jack Schwagger. He says that Mr. Lisp got lucky when he came after Edge last week and locked on the ankle lock. Edge promises that that won't happen again. He gets interrupted by the appearance of Jack Swagger walking down to the ring. Swagger slides inside the ring and brags about beating two wrestlers last week and then making Edge tap to the ankle lock. Things look like they are going to come to a head when Teddy Long breaks things up. He tells the playas that tonight they will get a chance to get their hands on each other when they wrestle in tag team action. Swagger teams with Wade Barrett and Edge teams with Big Show!]

[Trent Barreta gets no entrance but Drew McIntyre gets a big entrance and boos from the crowd. McIntyre, though, was off his game in this match and the opening bout failed to catch the attention of the crowd. McIntyre was dominant from the opening bell. He catches Barreta with a fireman's carry gutbuster and then locks him in a Snap Double Underhook DDT known as Future Shock. McIntyre makes the cover and gets the clean win without cheating.]

[As the show goes to a commercial, Kelly Kelly comes out from the back with the t-shirt cannon! The crowd goes wild as Kelly Kelly shoots t-shirts into the audience. As we come back from commercial, Beth Phoenix's music hits and she walks out from the back, making a beeline for the ring. Kelly Kelly is right there to meet her and a brawl begins in the center of the ring. The more powerful Beth Phoenix takes control and lifts Kelly -- Glam Slam! She connects and down goes Kelly to the mat. Phoenix smiles and tells Kelly that she will fall like the other barbie dolls in this division.]

[The mystery team that comes out to go into tag team competition with Curt Hawkins and Chavo Guerrero is the return of Cryme Tyme! The crowd goes wild for these two men as they come down to the ring. This is a slightly below average tag team encounter with almost everyone showing improvement in one phase or another. Curt Hawkins got dropped with the G9, a samoan drop and corkscrew neckbreaker combination. JTG gets the pinfall and the victory for his team.]

[Layla comes out with her Team LayCool tag team partner Michelle McCool. Kelly Kelly comes out alone to face off with Layla, though she looks a little worse for wear after the attack by Beth Phoenix earlier tonight. Layla takes advantage of that early in the contest and scores several near falls early on. Kelly Kelly fires back, though, showing her strength and sending Layla into a corner. She goes in and gives her the stinkface. Michelle McCool jumps on the apron and gets knocked off by Kelly. Kelly turns her attention back to Layla and drops her with the Legdrop Bulldog. She makes the cover: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

[As soon as Kelly Kelly gets the win, she gets blindsided by Beth Phoenix. Phoenix drops Kelly with a backbreaker and plays to a booing crowd. Phoenix picks up Kelly -- Glam Slam! Kelly Kelly is laid out in the center of the ring. Phoenix climbs the turnbuckles and plays to the crowd for a few moments before dropping down. She turns back to Kelly Kelly and shakes her head before walking off.]

[As we go to commercial, Dolph Ziggler and Vickie Guerrero come out with a t-shirt cannon of their own. The early moments are spent with Vickie trying to get the attention of the crowd with her signature "Excuse Me!" The rest of the time is mostly used trying to get the t-shirt cannon to work. The cannon manages to fire one shirt before Ziggler and Guerrero walk off.]

[We move to a video of a raining scene. The scene has a forest background with a cabin shown in the distance. The camera slowly zooms in as we are shown the back of a man who is walking toward the cabin. The man places his hand on the door to the cabin and then opens it and steps inside. We follow this man inside where a casket can be seen in the background. A large hand is placed on the casket before we fade to black with the words about the Deadman coming soon with the date of the Smackdown following the Royal Rumble.]

[We move to the backstage area where Wade Barrett is standing by in an interview area. Barrett talks about his attack last week on Big Show. He says that most people have asked him why he's gone after Big Show. The reason is simple: when you're new to the company, you go after the biggest man in that company. That biggest man is Big Show. But don't worry Big Show, you're just a stepping stone for Wade Barrett on the road to the Royal Rumble.]

[Our semi main event is a very good encounter between two men who are young and focused on rising up the ranks. The two young talents put on an excellent match with Del Rio having a slight edge throughout the contest. Del Rio focused on the arm of Kingston throughout during his control. But toward the end of the bout, Kingston was in control. Kingston went for the Trouble In Paradise but Del Rio manages to move out of the way. Del Rio grabs the arm of Kingston and twirls around into the Cross Arm Breaker! Kingston struggles to break free but eventually is forced to tap out so he doesn't have his arm injured.]

Winner: Alberto Del Rio (Via Submission @ 9:56)

[With our main event just moments away from occuring, we see the Big Red Monster, the Devil's Favorite Demon Kane alongside Matt Striker for an interview. Kane talks briefly about his loss last week against Edge. Then he turns his focus to the Royal Rumble. He says that the Devil's Favorite Demon is going to walk into WrestleMania without a belt and walk out as either the World Heavyweight Champion or the WWE Champion.]

[We cut to our last commercial break of the evening. This time, Cody Rhodes comes out looking like he is going to fire t-shirts into the crowd. Rhodes looks a little bit out of it after what happened last week with Ezekiel Jackson. He tries to pose and then seems to get disgusted with himself and exits without firing off a single t-shirt.]

Jack Swagger and Wade Barrett vs. Edge and Big Show

[And it's main event time and what a main event we have with Jack Swagger teaming with Wade Barrett against WWE World Champion Edge and Big Show. Swagger and Barrett tried their best to keep Edge inside the ring during this match as the size of Big Show was definitely a difference in this encounter. Swagger focuses on the ankle of Edge, knowing he will be facing him at the Royal Rumble for his title. The momentum shifts when Edge manages to catch Swagger with a big boot. Edge crawls over and makes the tag to Big Show, while Swagger tags in Barrett.]

[barrett begs off from Big Show but Show comes right after him. Show gets Barrett in the corner and slaps him hard in the chest, echoing throughout the arena. Show strikes toward Barrett and in comes Swagger. The brawls continue throughout with Edge coming in now. All four men do battle for several minutes before things calm down and Big Show tags in the WWE World Champion. Edge looks toward Swagger and prepares for the Spear! Edge charges -- Swagger moves! Edge catches the ring post through the turnbuckles! Swagger rolls up Edge: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

Winners: Jack Swagger and Wade Barrett (Via Pinfall @ 11:25)
Match Rating: B+

[What a HUGE victory for Jack Swagger and Wade Barrett! The two partners quickly exit the ring and back up the ramp when Big Show enters the ring! Edge slowly rises and stares down toward Swagger and Barrett. Those two evil men raise their arms up in victory tonight and the show ends with the staredown between all four of these men. Just what will happen next week?]
