TNA: Where The Fans Matter

I'm going to start a new dynasty, but I'm going to innovate the concept of dynasties. Instead of one head booker, we now have a team. That's right, the results of all matches are now up to the voting of the fans reading this very dynasty! As the storylines and matches progress in TNA, the results will be posted here, as well as future matches. These matches, as well as some angles and storyline results, will be able to be decided by each and every one of you!

 

I'm giving myself 5 "vetoes" per in-game year, where I can go against the wishes of the fans and make my own decision. My next post will be my roster, champions, storylines, current plans/desires for the voting consideration, and number of vetoes left. This will be updated as I continue the dynasty.

The show starts with Taz and Mike Tenay talking about how a new day is on the horizon for Impact Wrestling. Most fans don't know what exactly they mean, but the IWC is abuzz about the new, unknown booker that the company recently put at the head of their creative team. They announce the main event of AJ Styles versus World Champion Bobby Roode. With their introductions out of the way, Impact is coming to you from Chicago Illinois!</p><p> </p><p>

Sting's music hits, and The Icon makes his way down to the ring. Taking a microphone, he waits for the crowd to quiet before starting to talk. He says that it's an honor to be a part of TNA, the world's fastest-rising wrestling promotion, in any capacity, but he couldn't contain himself with being an authority figure anymore. He wanted to do one thing and one thing only, something that that other promotion doesn't care about, and that's <em>wrestle!</em> He's cut off by Bully Ray's music. Ray comes out on the ramp and starts to talk trash about being in Chicago, a town that tries to call itself a city when it has nothing on New York. "Much like how you have nothing on me, Sting!" Ray says that Sting is a washed-up old has-been who should have retired and cashed in on a fat paycheck when he had the chance. Sting opens the ropes for Ray, telling him to step in the ring and see who's a washed-up has-been when suddenly Hulk Hogan appears on the entrance ramp. He says that the two of them will get to settle their differences, but not tonight. Bully Ray already has a match, but he will face Sting inside of a steel cage at Lockdown.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Bully Ray vs Matt Morgan</strong></p><p>

Matt Morgan comes down to the ring for the first match, and he's Bully Ray's opponent. Sting goes to the back as Ray taunts Morgan, showing off his calves. Morgan looks unimpressed before laying into Bully with right hands. He backs him into a corner and takes control of the match. Morgan powers Ray around the ring for a bit until Ray takes control with a thumb to the eye. Later on in the match, Morgan manages to power out of a Bully Ray submission hold. As he's setting up for the Carbon Footprint, Crimson comes down to the ring and grabs his ankle, distracting him long enough for Ray to get the rollup and the win, leaving Morgan in the ring fuming after 10 minutes of action.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">#1 Contender for the X-Division Title</span></strong></p><p><strong>

Zema Ion vs Shannon Moore</strong></p><p>

Austin Aries joins Tenay and Taz on commentary, talking about how he's the longest-reigning X-Division champion in history and nobody will be able to stop him, especially the two losers in the ring. Ion takes control early and works to ground Moore, but Shannon fights back and before long, hits the Mooregasm for the win after just six minutes.</p><p> </p><p>

Post-match, Aries sneaks up behind Shannon and hits him with the X-Division title belt, screaming down at him that he's the greatest.</p><p> </p><p>

Robbie E cuts a short backstage promo with Rob Terry, saying that he'll be coming for <em>his</em> TV title at Lockdown.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Non-title match</span></strong></p><p><strong>

Mickie James vs Gail Kim</strong></p><p>

Gail starts the match with a cheap slap to Mickie's face. Mickie retaliates with a hard shot, and the two women start to wrestle on the ground. Gail takes control and works Mickie's back over, but Mickie fights out to hit the Mickie-DT and cover the champion in 7 minutes. Mike Tenay and Taz speculate that this earns Mickie a title shot at Lockdown</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Jeff Hardy vs Gunner w/ Ric Flair</strong></p><p>

Flair yells at Hardy from the outside, distracting Jeff so that Gunner can attack him from behind. Gunner works Jeff over in the corner before throwing him towards the other, only to be hit with a Whisper In The Wind. Gunner rolls to the outside, and is hit by a flying crossbody. Jeff runs the rails but connects with Flair instead of Gunner, who sacrificed his mentor to avoid Jeff. Gunner throws Jeff over the announce railing into the crowd and goes back into the ring. Jeff barely beats the 10-count, and is attacked by Gunner as he does. Minutes later, Gunner is caught taunting by Jeff Hardy, who hits a Twist Of Fate and Swanton Bomb for the win after 13 minutes.</p><p> </p><p>

Post-match, Kurt Angle runs out and hits an Angle Slam on Hardy, locking in the Ankle Lock as Jeff screams helplessly in the ring.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Non-Title Match</span></strong></p><p><strong>

AJ Styles versus Bobby Roode</strong></p><p>

They start off with a lockup and trade holds before Roode takes control of the match. He works over AJ's leg, obviously trying to ground The Phenomenal One. AJ counters and fights back, hitting a couple of his signature spots before missing a high risk maneuver and allowing Rude to be back in control. Roode hits a backbreaker on AJ and stretches him out, but AJ delivers some knees to the head to counter out. He sets up and signals for the Styles Clash, but Christopher Daniels appears at the top of the ramp, distracting AJ and the referee. Roode drops to his knees and low blows AJ, allowing him to pick up the win at the 15 minute mark.</p><p> </p><p>

Christopher Daniels and Kazarian join Bobby Roode in the ring, beating on AJ for a minute before Mr Anderson and James Storm run out to make the save. They run the heels out of the ring and help AJ to his feet, Storm signaling to Roode that he wants the title as Impact goes off the air.</p><p> </p><p>
