chaz4594
I've tried a few diaries recently, found it hard to find something to stick to however I think this will be good. http://img254.imageshack.us/img254/8328/bellator.jpg BELLATOR FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIPS ANNOUNCE NEW CEO Bjorn Rebney takes administrator role, Paul Falk takes over. http://img72.imageshack.us/img72/1322/paulfalk.gif PRESS CONFERENCE Reporter "Paul Falk, how did this role come about and why were you chosen?" Falk "Bellator weren't happy at the pace they were progressing, I was involved in boxing before and they contacted me asking If I would be interested in taking the job. I didn't have to think twice, it was a great offer so I took it." Reporter "Will there be any major changes that you'll make?" Falk "Yeah, one think we've discussed and decided to do is get rid of the tournament format. I honestly feel it's holding back the rise of Bellator with injuries etc delaying bouts. We're also not getting to see top fighters fight often so yeah, that's changing." Reporter "Finally, have you got anything to say to the MMA community?" Falk "It's an all new Bellator, we're gonna take the MMA world by storm."

chaz4594
http://forums.mmajunkie.com/styles/prosilver/imageset/MMAjunkieHdrLogo.jpg Kharitonov submits Konrad to win Heavyweight title - M'Pumbu shocks world submits Lawal http://www.mmanews.pl/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/sergei_kharitonov_happy_after_win.jpg CALIFORNIA - Kharitonov wins Bellator gold, and submits Konrad to do so. In his official Bellator debut, the former Strikeforce fighter earned a fifth-round submission victory over Cole Konrad who was previously unbeaten. The fight headlined Bellator 64 and took place at the HP Pavilion arena in San Jose, California. The fight started alot of hype around Bellator in recent weeks. But question marks surrounded it. Would Konrad be able to take down the amazing striker Kharitonov or would Kharitonov's experience come into play? Would Kharitonov be able to keep the fight standing against the monsterous undefeated wrestler? Thankfully all the questions were answered, although it did take 5 round to find out. Konrad implemented a strategy of pinning Kharitonov against the cage and trying to wear him down. This was the story for 4 rounds, Konrad scoring numerous takedowns but Kharitonov landed a good amount of solid strikes rocking Konrad at points, but not enough him win him the rounds. In the fifth round Konrad landed yet another takedown but both men were visibly tired. Kharitonov trapped an arm, pushed got his feet on Konrad's hips and threw both legs up, latching onto the triangle. Konrad tried to fight out of it but eventually was forced to tap at 2:45 of round number 5. "Today was all about bad intentions," said Kharitonov. After the fight, a beaten up Konrad had this to say "Tonight wasn't my night. My cardio let me down majorly, it won't happen again. Many believed Lima would be the toughest task yet for Askren but Askren disposed of him with relative ease. "Once again I've proven I'm the top dog at Welterweight, I can't see myself being defeated." Askren said. In the co-main event Rodrigo "Rantinho" Lima became the youngest Bellator champion as he mauled Zach Makovsky to take home the Bantamweight title. Ratinho took Makovsky down in the first round and smashed him with elbows, Makovsky being saved by the bell. Midway through round 2 Ratinho tripped Makovksky gaining side control, he progressed to mount and unloaded thunderous shots until the referee stopped the bout. http://img690.imageshack.us/img690/3226/bellator65.png ----------------------------------------------------------------------- SMOKEY AL - 5/12 Hope people don't mind me just using the image to display the results, it's very time comsuming to type it all up every time. chaz4594
http://forums.mmajunkie.com/styles/prosilver/imageset/MMAjunkieHdrLogo.jpg Alvarez chokes out Chandler to win back title http://mmajunkie.com/dyn/images/fighters/eddie-alvarez-8.jpg Michael Chandler and Eddie Alvarez put together more than 11 minutes' worth of back-and-forth action that left no fan still sitting in his seat. When it was all said and done, a bloodied and swollen Alvarez had earned the right to be called the new Bellator lightweight champion. The thrilling affair headlined Saturday's Bellator 66 event, which took place at PALMS CASINO RESORT, Las Vegas, NV. The main card aired on Go Fight Live (and in high-definition on EPIX) while preliminary fights streamed live on MMAjunkie.com and Spike.com. Chandler took control from the opening bell with a lead left hook, followed by a flurry that dropped Alvarez against the cage. They soon were off to the races. Alvarez countered with a right of his own that stopped Chandler in his tracks before he secured a takedown. Somehow Alvarez managed to clear his head and recover from the early onslaught. The pair continued to trade strikes until late in the round, when Alvarez landed a thudding right hand that dropped Chandler as the round concluded. The defending champion was battered, but he wouldn't go away. Round two was close enough that it could have been scored either way. Both fighters were able to land punches and kicks on the feet, and they essentially canceled each other out in the grappling department. At the beginning of round 3 Chandler shot a takedown on Alvarez. Alvarez sprawled well and locked up the D'Arce Choke, into a gator roll until Chandler tapped. "I'm back baby, here I am champion again!" said Alvarez. http://img51.imageshack.us/img51/2448/bellator66results.png
