mauboy
So, what's going on with it? I thought it was fixed that every play is the play you picked? But 25% of the time, if not more is being changed on defense. Is it an audible call that just does not happen to really correlate with the situation? PurdueBrad
Still waiting for word on this as well because the changes are sometimes fairly drastic.
mauboy
Nothing on this?
Arlie Rahn
I had hoped it would be fixed for 1.02. But, it looks like I am going to have to look more into this for 1.1. I'm at a loss for why this occurs. But, I'll get to the bottom of it.
mauboy
Danke. Oh, whoops, you're not German a different crazy good game maker is German. Thanks! *Smile* Merry Christmas..... errrm, or Happy Holidays, whichever you prefer.
CapnPitt
Just to add a little more specificity to this bug, it not only calls a different play...most annoyingly, it can call a whole different formation. I could deal if it was just considered an audible, but if I'm in a 5-2, my defense shouldn't just show up in a 3-4.
CapnPitt
Arlie, let me say again that this is a really good game. However, this defense changing thing is really hurting the experience for me. I've lost 3 games this season alone to the computer opting me out of the Defense I called into some random commit to run in an obvious passing situation. I wouldn't be so p.o.'ed if it wasn't going to make me lose to an 0-9 Rutgers team because only 60% of the defenses run are what I've called. Old Boiler
Here's a bit of heresy, but . . . i don't think the program really is changing the defensive plays; it only changes the graphic display of your play call. The next time you're simming and see this happen, do this: 1) Check the in-game PBP report immediately. You'll see the recorded defensive alignment was the one you called. 2) Watch the defensive play call display. When the offensive display disappears in preparation for the next play, you'll see the defensive display revert to the formation and play that you called. So maybe the play is being resolved based on the requested defensive alignment and only the display is wrong?
Arlie Rahn
I just ran a few examples and that may be why I am not seeing it. I am focusing more on the gamelog than the ingame PBP display. Can anyone else confirm this is going on?
CapnPitt
Yep, Old Boiler is right. It's right in the game log but not on the display. I just double checked. I guess I lost to 0-9 Rutgers on my own suckitude. Talk about mixed emotions!
Arlie Rahn
OK, that should be a little easier to fix for 1.1 then.
