2001 Drug Scandal: WCW

Recommended Posts

News Reporter: The trial of the former WCW Head booker has ended. He was found guilty of trying to push drugs on his workers and was jailed for 7 years effectively ending his career as head booker of WCW. The WCW ordered a raffle to be the NEW Head Booker. After 12,500 entries were submitted, the raffle ended. The new head booker? An ex hardcore wrestler named Psycho Sam.

One of the huger changes made was the replacement of PPV New Blood Rising with another PPV, called Challengers, a midcard tournament.

As of 2:38 AEST, Psycho Sam has not released any matches. The only hints dropped by him is that there will be a fatal 4 way match tonight, for the #1 Contender and the right to face Scott Steiner in the main event of Souled Out! Three participants have been confirmed:

GOLDBERG!

SID JUSTICE!

STING!

OOC: I must have forgotten the matches. I've already determined the winner in my mind, and the results, though.

Match Card will be posted once I get the files.

Prediction Card:

#1 Contendership for WCW World Title

Goldberg vs. Justice vs. Sting vs. ???

From the Pyramid Arena...WCW MONDAY NIGHT NITRO! LIVE ON TNT!

AJ Styles has a microphone, and says that he is very confident that he will get the win in his upcoming match against Sergeant A-WALL.

RATING: B

Diamond Dallas Page is walking backstage, turns a corner, and bumps into Disco Inferno. Inferno says something that DDP doesn't like, and they start arguing. After some heated words, Inferno challenges DDP to meet him in the ring for a match.

RATING: A

MATCH: AJ Styles vs. Sergeant A-WALL

This match was a decent 8 minute match against two lower midcarders. As Styles was unable to lift Sergeant A-WALL in this match due to the size difference, he had to find a new finishing move. And he did, jumping off the ropes with a beautiful Superman (Springboard 450 Splash), he was able to get the pinfall.

RATING: B-

The match is over, and AJ Styles is celebrating. Sergeant A-WALL looks angry, and jumps him from behind, beating him down.

RATING: B-

Vince Russo is backstage, with Bill Goldberg, Kevin Nash, Sid Justice and Sting all trying to talk him into giving them a title shot. He finally decides that he's heard enough, and that as they can't all have a title shot, they'll face each other in a four way match to win the right to a title shot.

RATING: A

The announcers put over the fact that we'll be seeing Kevin Nash take on Bill Goldberg, Sting and Sid Justice in a four-way match.

RATING: A*

Norman Smiley comes to the ring and challenges Mark Jindrak to a match.

RATING: C-

MATCH: Smiley vs. Jindrak

This was a good match; not quite up to the standard of the Styles v Wall match, but still good. Smiley DOMINATED Jindrak right from the beginning; ending the match at 5:18 minutes with a Norman Conquest.

RATING: C+

Yang had an interview hyping his upcoming singles match alongside Kaz Hayashi.

RATING: C+

MATCH: Chuck Palumbo, Sean O’Haire and Mike Sanders vs. Billy Kidman, Rey Mysterio Jr. And Air Paris

An awesome match between these 6 guys. Plenty of spectacular moves here; a springboard hurricanrana by Paris was one of THE highlights of the night. The match ended with Mysterio pinning Mike after a Top Rope Hurricanrana.

RATING: A

Bill Goldberg had an interview hyping his upcoming singles match with Sid Justice.

RATING: A*

The announcers put over the fact that we'll be seeing Ric Flair take on Scott Steiner.

RATING: A*

MATCH: Yung Dragons vs. The Mamalukes

This was a suprising match. The Yung Dragons had a very hard time with The Mamalukes, but still managed to hold it out. They actually managed to pick up the win after a Yang Time onto Johnny The Bull, while Kaz did a Dropkick to hold back Vito.

RATING: B+

MATCH: Disco Inferno vs. DDP

The first thing that I can say is that they have good chemistry together, and that showed in this match. We should pair them up again sometime. Anyway, this was a good match, ending at 6:50 with a Diamond Cutter for DDP.

RATING: B+

MATCH: Ric Flair vs. Scott Steiner

A highly awesome match, even more than the 3 on 3 match, this was a great match overall. Both men were even. In the end, Steiner won with the Steiner Screwdriver. A good battle overall

RATING: A*

The match is over, and Ric Flair is left down. Scott Steiner is celebrating, but then stops and sees his opponent still on the ground. He attacks, and beats him into the canvas.

RATING: A*

MATCH: Nash vs. Goldberg vs. Sting vs. Sid Justice

Just like the previous match, this was an awesome match. Justice was eliminated after a Jacknife Powerbomb. Mere seconds later, Sting got dropped with a Jackhammer Powerbomb. Nash and Goldberg were the final two. Goldberg managed to counter a Jacknife Powerbomb into a Jackhammer, picking up the win.

RATING: A*

Having picked up the victory, Bill Goldberg celebrates in the ring.

RATING: A*

Scott Steiner has a microphone, and proceeds to taunt Bill Goldberg, calling him names and generally acting like he is totally unafraid.

RATING: A*

Sid Justice attacks Vince Russo backstage, and leaves him down and out.

RATING: B (F***!)

SHOW RATING: A! (W00T!)

PREDICTIONS:

wakeller21: 5/7

matthew222: 5/7

Not enough to beat RAW, but very good :)

Nice show hoping you take the WCW title off Steinter and putting it on Goldberg instead <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/rolleyes.png.4b097f4fbbe99ce5bcd5efbc1b773ed6.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

<p>I'd rather not spoil anything. Right now, Steiner and Goldberg are feuding. I've got some others in the feud though.</p><p> </p><p>

I've already planned the feud. The only spoiler I will recieve is that as long as I'm booking, Goldberg will have the title someday. Maybe it's at Souled Out. Maybe not.<img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/cool.png.f00d2562b2c1d873a09323753efdb041.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
