In what became known as one of the best entertaining eras in Canadian Wrestling history, on the following DVD’s we take a look back on how The Age of Attitude came to be and what it did for Canadian Golden Combat in the process. So Alex let the fans at home know about laying the foundations for the attitude age. AD: As you know Phil, 2009 turned out to be a pretty bad year for CGC not only financially but also in terms of product and what the fans wanted to see from us. It all started July 2009, it had been a good six months since my dad George had walked away from the business and left it for me to run. The fans were happy we wasn’t changing the product too much but eventually they started to tune out from Title Bout Wrestling, it was understandable though, I mean the DeColt’s vs. The Elite storyline had pretty much been running in some shape or form for nearly five years. And even though it was a fun storyline to go with it was becoming pretty stall, pretty fast. Has 2010 had come round Title Bout wrestling had since some off its lowest ever rating Maple Leaf Sport, and there was talk of cancelling it. So we knew something different had to happen for us to survive. After the entire roster had discussed what direction we wanted to go in, what’s when I knew we had to start putting it into motion and it finally all came out when Ricky turned his back on his family in February at CGC Luck of The Draw and cost Jack the world title in the process to Eddie Chandler. PV: And that’s where we will start our journey at the first episode of Title Bout Wrestling in march 2010. But before we get on to the first episode we’ll be hearing from Jack and Ricky Decolt. It was something we’d spoken off in the past but never really actually got round to doing it. But at the end of Luck of The Draw and the reaction Ricky got from the fans as he cost me the World Title I knew we’re on to something big. Ricky had been a World Champion in CGC before but the fans never really took to him as a character who was truly worthy of carrying the World Title, with his new cocky character that he would start to portray you knew the fans were going to hate just for the fact he turned back on his brothers and everything his family stood for. http://i583.photobucket.com/albums/ss279/serotonin187/RickyDeColt-1.jpg *We see Ricky DeColt sat at a bar trying to impress some women* To me The Age of Attitude is Ricky DeColt, I mean me attacking my brother is what started the ball rolling HAHA. But no in all serious to have been given the opportunity that I was given that night at Luck of The Draw is something I’ll never forget because up until that night I had been fighting it out with Joey Poison over the CGC Canadian title which was a pretty mediocre feud I might add and though originally it was planned for me to win it from him, all that changed when we envisioned the age of attitude, when Alex and Phil told me what they had planned for Luck of The Draw I was told not to tell anybody on the roster only me, Alex, Eddie, Jack and Phil was to know about it. Not only were we trying to shock the fans in the arena and at home but the entire CGC roster as well. Straight after the attack after I walked back up the ramp I was meet with a chorus of boo’s and what the hell’s some off the guys were pissed and looked like they were ready to attack me, until Alex and Phil jumped in and settled things down. The two brother meet in singles actions. Also competing Television Champion Bobby Thomas faces off with Canadian Champion Joey Poison in a clash of the champions. Trent Shaffer as an uphill struggle as he tries to take the submission specialist “Shooter” Sean Deeley. In huge tag team action the Elite’s Dan DaLay and Eddie Chandler take on Alex DeColt and Ryan Powell. Quick Picks. Jack DeColt vs. Ricky DeColt Good luck with this, I am doing a save with CGC myself and it is the best save I have ever done since I started playing TEW and they are my new favoriote promotion so I cant pass up a CGC dynasty when I see it. Thanks man, I most definitely have a soft spot for CGC. hopefully I can do them some justice with this dynasty. The show should be up within the next couple of days.
