After much negotiation, a news came to shake the structures of MMA worldwide. The Zuffa, owner of the UFC and Strikeforce, PRIDE FC sold the brand to a company called World Fighting Entertainment who plans to return to the event. The company already probe a few names that marked history of the event as Fedor Emelianenko, Kazushi Sakuraba and Mirko Crocop. Event planning is to make a mix of legends and new names for the MMA and realize the great events and Grand Prix during the decade that were the hallmark of the company.

 

Let's see if the back will be as glorious as it was the event before being sold.

This afternoon there was a press conference in Tokyo where the PRIDE FC CEO Nobuhiko Takada detailed news about the event and future events.

 

Asked about the hiring of the event he said: "We are negotiating with many athletes want to do the event to be great again and we hire big names and some revelations, where contractors will announce during the weekend, all fighters hired during the week. "

 

On the next event he said. "Let's see the names that are coming we'll probably do a GP over the category does not know better will not take out the next event."

PRIDE close agreement conveying.

PRIDE FC signs with WOWOW for PPV and TV Samurai Fighting for PRIDE Bushido on TV.

 

The PRIDE FC announced today that closed a deal with WOWOW to view PPV events, the events will be broadcast to Japan and Asia and will have a duration of six shows may be renewed after the end.

We conducted this Saturday PRIDE Bushido 14. Told by the media as a regular event the commercial part found the fantastic event. In the main fight of the night Gegard Mousasi and Jorge Santiago, two champions of the extinct Japanese events, DREAM and Sengoku, made the promise and performed a war. Already in the Co-Main Event Sergei Kharitonov at PRIDE returned with victory and submitted the Japanese Hirotaka Yokoi easily in the first round. Frank Trigg also seeking back with win against Karo Parisyan rookie in PRIDE, was surprised by the judoka who applied a drop and submitted Trigg in the first round. The big surprise of the card was the victory of Chris Lytle who beat Ricardo Almeida via submission, victory for Lytle very surprised because it was not a balanced fight, more finishing what was left many surprises, as Almeida is known for its Jiu Jitsu world class. The PRIDE 36 card was announced this afternoon in Tokyo, Japan. The main event will bring Pride veteran Heath Herring against Olympic gold medalist Satoshi Ishii in a duel of generations in PRIDE. In Co-Main Event, the Japanese star Hayato Sakurai will face former Bodog Fight welterweight champion Nick Thompson. O PRIDE FC announced the matches for the upcoming PRIDE Bushido 15. As well as revealing that the main event would be a Middleweight Division bout between the legendary Royce Gracie and former K-1 superstar Melvin Manhoef, several other bouts were also confirmed.

PRIDE 37 announced.

 

The Pride FC fights announced for the upcoming PRIDE 37 - Revolution. Besides revealing that the main event would be a fit heavyweight division between former PRIDE GP 2006 champion, Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic against UFC Hall of Fame Legend Ken Shamrock. In the Co-Main Event former Light Heavyweight champion and UFC Hall of Famer Chuck Liddell will face the European superstar and former KSW Light Heavyweight champion, Mamed Khalidov. The event will have their first Play-by-Play official, to be released on Sherdog.com.

In the Co-Main Event, Chuck Liddell will fight Mamed Khalidov.
