Paper BG // UI Modding PSDs

Hey,

 

yesterday i decided i want to play this again. One thing i never liked about the game were there gradients in the background. So i took a few hour's, worked through the Background jpgs and replaced them with oldish looking paper to give it a more comic book feel and be less stressful on the eyes.

P.s. I also changed the title screen, but i did not put more than a few seconds in it. It´s crapy . But since thats the easiest one to change you´ll be able to help yourself to a better one.

 

 

Two Notes.

 

1. I did not care to much about placing the BG extra sexy or always in the same possition, after i cut the old one out i just plastered the new one in. But you barley notice.

2. There are a few moments were the game uses the gradient background to indicate the state of a battle or how a battle ended. Since i never noticed that until i saw the filenames i completely ignored it and put the same bg in. If this is important to you you´ll have to edit it back in. (i can imagine it working by having burned paper for example, but i will not do that)

 

 

 

 

 

Since editing the backgrounds is a royal pain due to it´s mass and the multicolors i´ll see if i can upload all of my PSDs so it´s less time consuming for you if you want to switch the BG or even work over all the fields and buttons. But it´s a 500+ MB Upload so i need to check how i will do it without having to upload it over and over again or have it block my Dropbox.

The state of the PSDs is 1. layer bg, 2. layer all the boxes and buttons that were in the original jpg.
