Many matters were to be addressed at Turning Point including the semi-finals of the world title tournament and some heated rivalries like Scott Steiner vs RVD and Mistico vs Konnan.

The night started with a high profile match, Nash and Flair kept the audience interested the whole time and really put on a battle. Hogan in the corner of Flair unfortunately couldn't stop the nature boy from taking a jacknife power bomb and being eliminated from the tournament by Nash, Grade C+.

The next match saw a quite highly anticipated debut of UPW star John Cena, he debuted a new gimmick being a rapper, he cut a promo/rap on Super Crazy before the match which helped gain him some heat from the crowd. Crazy had the crowd behind him and delivered some good Ariel attacks but this match was all about Cena and he soon picked up the win with a power bomb, grade D.

Konnan and Mistico put on a classic cruiserweight battle were both impressed but in the end Konnan's experience advantage got him the win with a Zip lock, grade D. Rather like the Cena/Super Crazy match this contest was all about AJ Styles, Gilbertti didn't connect with the crowd and never looked like a threat, Styles picked up the win with a Styles clash, grade D.

Scott Steiner was RVD's biggest test to date and once again RVD impressed, the two couldn't match the quality of Rick Steiner and Van Dam's match at the last event but still put on a good performance, Steiner prevailed after hitting a frankensteiner, giving RVD his first defeat in PTW, grade C-. After the match Van Dam was shown getting attention from medics when new superstar John Cena walked into the room and introduce himself to Rob as the new face of PTW, Rob refused to shake Cena's hand which led to Cena punching Van Dam and starting a brawl, Hulk Hogan has since announced Cena will take on Van Dam on the first episode of 'Prime Time Wrestling'.

It came down to the main event, Sting an Hall battled to make it to the final of the title tournament, although it was a very strong match it failed to live up to the matched these two have put on so far in PTW. With no one being aloud at ringside it made sure the finish would be clean and fair, Sting hit the stinger splash and followed up with a scorpion death drop to pick up the win after 21 minutes of intense action, grade C+.

Almost as soon as the match ended Nash was shown running down to the ring and it looked to be another beat down to end the event, but Hulk Hogan followed him down to the ring with a steal chair in hand and ran off Hall and Nash with Sting. Hulk then announced that on the first episode of 'Prime Time Wrestling' in four days will be the final of the title tournament, Kevin Nash vs Sting.

The night may not have lived up to expectations for the in ring action but still went along way to putting PTW on the map, it also heavily promoted the first episode of 'Prime Time Wrestling' hoping that would draw in some extra viewers. On the positive side the event had the highest attendance of any PTW event, with 6,673 packing into the Binghamton Events Centre. It got 22,500 PPV buys, only 500 less than PTW: A New Revolution and equal with the Prime Time Wrestling event held in June.

I'm liking this so far. Just a couple of nit-picky things. If you could, maybe try breaking up the matches a little more? Specifically off the last card, Konnan/Mistico and Styles/Disco are kinda lumped into one paragraph. Also, there was no grade for the ME. And lastly, that red is still pretty brutal. Maybe a soft or deep yellow might work better and still be on theme?

That's it for my nit-picks. Really good job so far. I loathe Cena. I hope RVD puts him through AT LEAST two tables. Throw in a Van Terminator for good measure. ;)

one nitpick myself is Cena wasn't a rapper till he got to the E until then he was the prototype

I know that he was the prototype before the rapper but i never liked his prototype character so i chose to use his rapper gimmick, sorry for mistaking him using it in his UPW days

I'll add the grade for the main event now, as for the red colour background they won't be any more posts like that as now there will only be a post for each television taping and then a separate post for the event/ppv at the end of the month.

Not Cena's biggest fan either but i'm guessing he is the sort of person a Hulk Hogan would see as a future star, that is why i signed him

The chain shot wasn’t enough to keep RVD down and he fought back and went on to win the match with a split leg moonsault, grade D.

Curt Hennig vs AJ Styles was a surprise match for the audience but was seemingly thrown together to test if Styles could hang with other very athletic and technical wrestlers. AJ did very well and the match went back and forth for near 10 minutes until Hennig hit the Hennig-Plex for the win, grade C.

The match everyone had been waiting for came up next, the NWA World Heavyweight title was on the line and possibly the two biggest stars in PTW were battling for it. The match went on for 16 minutes with Sting having much of the crowd behind him. Scott Hall had been banned from ringside before the match so Nash was fighting alone. The end was very controversial as a masked man came through the crowd into the ring whilst both competitors and the referee were down after a missed boot from Nash; the masked men had a pipe in hand and waited for both Nash and Sting to stand before striking Sting over the head with it. Kevin Nash then took advantage and followed up with a jacknife power bomb to win and claim the NWA Heavyweight title, grade B-. What happened after the match was possibly even more shocking as the masked man unveiled himself to be none other than Eric Bischoff, he celebrated in the centre of the ring with Nash and soon Hall came down and joined in the celebration.

Hulk came to the ring and stated he has no idea why Eric Bischoff is showing up on his show but he’s going to find out, he called out Nash, Hall and Bischoff but no one came out instead a man came walking down to the ring in a suit. He addressed himself as Kevin Nash’s attorney and stated that neither Nash or Hall are contractually obligated to be here so they can and will show up when they want, and that they have chosen to not attend tonight. Hogan didn’t look happy and hep preceded to layout the attorney in the middle of the ring.

The first match of then night was between Samoa Joe and Super Crazy both struggled to connect with the crowd and the match wasn’t well received, Joe won with a dragon sleeper although it seemed it was the crowd that was sleeping, grade E.

John Cena was shown backstage where he did another rap regarding Rob Van Dam, the point he got across was that last week’s match was only a minor step back and the ‘Doctor of Thuganomics’ is still the new face of ‘Prime Time Wrestling’.

A great moment for the young Mistico happened when he found out he would be teaming with the legendary Ric Flair to take on the Los Luchadors (Averno & Mephisto), the match had some good spots but was mainly controlled by Flair, Mephisto tapped out to the figure four leg lock to give Flair & Mistico the win, grade D. Post-match Konnan hit the ring and attacked both Flair and Mistico.

Next up was Davey Boy Smith vs Jeff Jarrett, both put up a good fight but there were signs that Davey Boy is struggling to keep up with the younger talent on PTW’s roster. Jarrett picked up the win at the 7:40 mark with a stroke, grade C-.

The main event was contested between Rob Van Dam and former WCW wrestler Fit Finlay, they worked hard throughout the whole 12 minutes of the match and combined technical, Brawling and some high flying moves into the match. Rob Van Dam picked up the win with a frog splash, grade C.

Quick Results:
Samoa Joe beat Super Crazy
Mistico & Ric Flair beat Los Luchadors
Jeff Jarrett beat Davey Boy Smith
Rob Van Dam beat Fit Finlay

Flair picked up the win after 11 minutes, grade B-. Flair grabbed a microphone after the match and said he did that to teach Konnan a lesson, he then says he has been personally training Mistico and challenges Konnan to a match on behalf of Mistico at NWA: Proving Ground in two weeks.

Rob Van Dam was once again closing the show as he was favorite in New England, he faced Juventud Guerrera in a pretty good contest, Van Dam won with a Frog Splash, grade C. Post-Match John Cena came down to the ring and clotheslined Van Dam to the outside, before delivering a fireman’s carry takeover through the announce table to end the show.

Quick Results:
Sting beat Jeff Jarrett
Ric Flair beat Konnan
Rob Van Dam beat Juventud Guerrera

The heavy hitting match up came to an end when RVD scaled the cage and when close to the top turned and landed a Frog Splash for the win, grade C.

In the next segment Jeff Jarrett stood in the ring and blamed Goldust or whoever was imitating Goldust for his loss last week, he calls out whoever it was and it turns out it was the Goldust. Goldust hits the ring and the two exchange blows until Jarrett calls it a day and flees the ring.

Mistico faced off against Juventud Guerrera next in what was a decent cruiserweight battle, this match looked to prepare Mistico for his upcoming clash with Konnan and it certainly did. Mistico won with the La Mistica, grade D.

Backstage many faces are in the locker room cheering at Mistico’s win, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash run in with orders from Eric Bischoff and take out all them, Hall specifically goes after Rey Mysterio and launches him head first through a TV set.

The Main event was contested between Lex Luger and Scott Steiner, they had a good match with a very hard hitting style. Booking Luger against a much hated heel like Steiner was again another way to solidify him back to a face. Rick Steiner ran down to ringside and distracted Luger at the 11 minute mark which allowed Scott to hit a Samoan drop for the win, graded C+.

After the match Hogan came to the stage and said if the Steiner’s want to stick together so badly they can face Luger and a partner of his choice at Proving Ground, Luger chose Sting to be his partner this Sunday. Hogan then addressed Nash and Hall saying he’s not having them show up when they want and cause havoc, he said that if Mysterio is healthy enough he will get revenge on Hall this Sunday. He then announced that next month is a new pay per view called ‘NWA: War Games’ and that as Nash is the PTW champion he is contractually obligated to be at the event, Hogan said it will be team Hogan vs team Nash and is Nash don’t show up he will strip him of the title.

Quick Results:
Rob Van Dam beat John Cena
Mistico beat Juventud Guerrera
Scott Steiner beat Lex Luger

NWA: Proving Ground Match Card
Konnan vs Mistico
AJ Styles vs Alex Wright
Curt Hennig vs Rob Van Dam
Rey Mysterio vs Scott Hall
Goldust vs Jeff Jarrett
Lex Luger & Sting vs The Steiner Brothers

I'm not gonna lie. I was really hoping the masked man was gonna be Syxx! In any event I'm really really enjoying the sustained RVD push. KUTGW. :)

If he weren't with the WWF he would definitely be apart of this, and i didn't even plan to push RVD much but he's been having some good matches and has got quite over pretty quick
