Just a few questions

Recommended Posts

Hey guys just 3 quick questions. I have been playing TEW05 for years and years and after hearing the hype of TEW13 I think it is finally time to put TEW05 into retirement. Never played any other TEW's so the questions are:

1. Are we able to have a developmental territory similar to EWR where we can switch the workers back and forth between there and the main roster?

2. Are we able to open up a training camp and have newly generated workers appear in developmental?

3. Is there an auto-booking feature similar to EWR?

Appreciate any help. Thanks!

1) Yes. Provided your company can sign written deals.

2) Yes, changing the settings will make sure you can get newgen workers through dojos you set up.

3) Sort of. Assitant Booker: http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1811026

#8: Assistant Booker

New to the booking screen is the Assistant Booker pop-up.

This new section allows the user to quickly add up to ten matches to the show. For each of the potential matches there are two options, Type Of Match and Level Of Match. The Type Of Match is selected from the usual selection (1 vs 1, 2 vs 2, etc), while Level Of Match is Main Event, Upper Midcard, etc.

Once the user has set up those two options for as many of the ten slots as he or she wants, simply clicking Create Matches has the Assistant Booker AI automatically try and put together matches for each. The AI only uses wrestlers who are eligible to be on the show (obviously) and who aren't already working on the card, and does not include road agent notes (everything is left for the road agent to handle automatically, in the same way that the player does not need to fill them in) or title matches. Everything else (assigning referees and road agents, appropriate lengths, naming the segment, etc, etc) is handled automatically.

Where possible, the Assistant Booker will use proper tag teams, and will strictly follow face \ heel logic unless the promotion does not have a disposition split.

The AI gives a warning message to the player if any of the matches could not be made - this could happen, for example, if you asked it to make a main event match but there were no main eventers available and no suitable upper midcarders to fill in for them.

The created matches are automatically added to the booking grid. From that point on, they can be treated exactly the same as if they'd been created by the player; they can be modified, moved, deleted, etc.

There is no limit on how many times the Assistant Booker can be used, nor are there any penalties.

<img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Hi mate,

Glad you have decided to make the jump, it will be worth it.

To answer your questions as best I can

1. There is a development system in place so you can do exactly that, send your guys down there and specify what you want them to work on (brawling, entertainment etc. they can even be sent to get back into shape or remove ring rust). My advice would be to also stick one of your better workers down there too who you don't have plans for to 'train' your youngsters.

Your development territory will work as it's own promotion and can be an existing company or you can make them from scratch.

2. You can create a 'dojo' to use the TEW term and newly generated workers can come from there and you will have first option to sign them, what you do with them from there is up to you. Send to to dev or use them in your main roster. Before you build your dojo, bear in kind that by default in the cverse, newly generated workers aren't set to enter the game until 2026 (may need to double check that but it is def after 2020) so you may want to edit this before you start your game.

3.there hasn't been an auto-booker so far but it has been announced for TEW'13 which has many people rather pleased.

Hope this helps mate.

Very excited about 2013. One thing that slipped my mind though; are we able to take mods that were made for TEW10 and convert them to TEW13? For example the recent release of December 2012 update?
