Are you ready for old school MMA action! I'm Mark "CageRage" Addison, and I'm the match maker of the newest MMA promotion to debut in Canada! No rounds, no rules, just 60 minutes in a cage with one person emerging as the victor!

 

 

 

Our weight classes are a little different from the norm, so here's the rundown!

We are opening Classic Cage Combat with a bang, starting with an old school eight man tournament, that will determine the first ever Classic Cage Combat Heavyweight Champion! All our biggest Heavyweight names will be on display! In the co-main event of the evening, it's a Womens Division showdown, as Piper Evergood takes on Leslie Myers, and more!

Lightweight Bout

 

 

 


 

 

 

 


The fight started out with some solid punches from Minelli, until Landingham grappled Minelli, smothering him against the cage for almost four minutes before the ref brought them back to center! Minelli once again got a flurry of punches in, but then went for the kick, and it was caught, and Landingham took him down, forcing Minelli to pull guard! After a few punches, Landingham began his smothering again, pinning Minnelli to the ground for another few minutes before the ref once again brought them back to center!

 


The same script is followed again, as Minelli looks dominant with striking for a few seconds, then tries a kick, and gets taken down again, this time only managing to pull half guard! For a few minutes they wrestle back and forth, Minelli trying to get a full guard, and Landingham trying to get to side control, but neither passed the other, and the ref stood them up again!

 


At the 15 minute mark of the match, Minelli finally manages to avoid a takedown, only to land a few strikes, and have a kick blocked, leading to another takedown by Landingham into half guard! They jockey for position and get stood up by the ref again!

 


They stay on their feet for a while, each throwing mostly inconsequential strikes, until approaching the 30 minute mark they start to stand and bang, each landing stiff jab after stiff jab! Until of course, Minelli tries a kick, and gets taken down again, pulling guard!

 


Landingham finally manages to pass to side control, then rolls Minelli and takes the back! Landingham begins pounding away with punches on Minelli, but he's covering up well, not taking much damage! This continues until the ref once again stands them up!

 


Minelli starts landing jab after jab, but once again tries the kick, and gets taken down, pulling guard! Once again they grapple on the mat for a couple minutes, and get stood up by the ref!

 


Landingham shoots in right away, and gets another takedown into guard! Once again they grapple for a couple minutes before being brought back to center!

 


Landingham shoots in for the takedown, and gets stuffed, but manages to pin Minelli against the cage, where he smothers him, until the ref brings them back to center!

 


Minelli catches Landingham with a hard jab as he shoots in for the takedown, but then tries the kick, and gets taken down again, pulling guard! Landingham throws some ineffective punches from the top of guard until the horn sound to end the fight, sending the decision to the judges!

 

 

 


Result: Ryan Landingham wins by Unanimous Decision @ 60:00!

 

 

 


In his post-fight interview Ryan Landingham calls out Kade Devine! The match will likely happen at our as yet unscheduled fifth show!

 

 

 


Heavyweight Tournament Quarter Final Bout

 

 

 

 


 

 

 

 

 


Jerry Bogdonovich comes out hard to start the fight, hitting a flurry of hard lefts, forcing Bruns to take the defensive! They clinch, but nothing comes of it, and they quickly seperate. Bruns steps forward straight into Bogdonovitch's oncoming fist, and is KO'd!

 

 

 


Result: Jerry Bogdonovich wins by Knock Out (Punch) @ 3:55

 

 

 


Heavyweight Tournament Quarter Final Bout

 

 

 


 

 

 


Stevens opened the fight hitting a few punches, then tried to grapple with Mason, but Mason countered the attempt, rocking Mason with a right that hits him flush on the chin! He continues to land jabs, causing Stevens to back off to create some distance! When Stevens steps back in he comes in swinging firing a barrage of big punches to Mason's head and body, knocking Mason down!

 


Stevens gets on top of Mason, but only manages to get to half guard! Stevens attempts to pound on Mason with elbows, but Mason deals with them easily! They grapple on the ground for a couple minutes, before the ref stands them up after a lengthy stalemate!

 


There follows a period of speculative punches, and circling fighters, then they stand and bang, each hitting a number of stinging blows! Mason hits a number of body kicks, while Stevens hits with punches, and they continue to wage war in the center of the cage! Mason misses with a jab, and Stevens wails on him with a barrage of punches, once again knocking Mason down!

 


Mason looks to be in trouble, as Stevens secures side control on Mason! He begins to unload with punches, but Mason recovered his wits quickly, and covers up, not taking any undue damage! The referee eventually stands them back up!

 


Mason avoids a jab from Stevens, and fires back with heavy right hands, knocking Stevens down! Stevens recovers his wits quickly however, and the ensuing scramble ends with both fighters back on their feet!

 


Stevens attempts to grapple with Mason, but Mason counters with a right hand that catches Stevens flush, knocking him right back down! Mason fires away with a barrage of punches, but Stevens manages to cover up before the ref calls the fight, however in the process Stevens gave up his back! Mason attempts to land punches, but Stevens covers up well, until the ref stands them back up again!

 


Mason starts right in off the stand up, hitting a number of jabs, until he clobbers Stevens with a huge left hand at close range, knocking him out!

 

 

 


Result: Steve Mason wins by Knock Out (Punch) @ 37:14

 

 


Heavyweight Tournament Quarter-Final Bout

 

 

 

 


 

 

 


Both fighter exchange strikes to start the fight, but McPhee misses badly with a leg kick, giving Silvers the opening to hit a series of big rights, pinning McPhee against the cage! McPhee is getting destroyed, he falls to the ground, but punches keep landing, until the ref finally has to stop the fight!

 

 

 


Result: Jon Silvers wins by TKO (Strikes) @ 1:38

 

 

 


Heavyweight Tournament Quarter-Final Bout

 

 

 

 


 

 

 


Pike hits a jab, then shoots in and takes Barnum down! Barnum pulls guard, but Pike passes easily to side control! Pike hits a couple knees from side control, and then rains down punches until the ref is forced to call the fight!

 

 

 


Result: Norman Pike wins by TKO (Strikes) @ 2:04

 

 


Middleweight Bout

 

 

 

 


 

 

 


Rhodes looks dominant with his strikes to start out the fight, hitting a big right hook to the body! Rhodes hits a barrage of big right hands, knocking Richardson down! Richardson recovers his wits quickly, but is hit with a stomp! Rhodes comes in on the ground, gaining side control! Rhodes goes for a knee strike, but Richardson counters with a scramble that ends with Rhodes on his back pulling half guard!

 


Richardson quickly wrestles his way to side control, and then mounts Rhodes! Rhodes attempts to escape the mount, but only succeeds in giving up his back! Richardson pounds on Rhodes from the back mount until the ref stops the fight!

 

 

 


Result: Cooper Richardson wins by TKO (Strikes) @ 6:39

 

 


Heavyweight Tournament Semi-Final Bout

 

 

 


 

 

 


Mason tries a jab off the starting horn, but Bogdonovitch counters with hard rights! Mason looks a little light in the loafers as he reels back from the blows looking dazed! Bogdonovitch tries to capitalize with a barrage of rights, but Mason recovers his senses enough to cover up! Mason goes for a kick, but Bogdonovitch counters with several big rights, pinning Mason against the cage! Mason is getting destroyed! He falls to the ground! The referee steps in and stops the fight!

 

 

 


Result: Jerry Bogdonovitch wins by TKO (Strikes) @ 0:51

 

 

 


Heavyweight Tournament Semi-Final Bout

 

 

 

 


 

 

 


Pike and Silvers exchange strikes off the opening horn, neither causing much damage! Pike attempts a takedown, but is stopped by Silvers! Silvers goes for a punch, but Pike counters with a takedown, and Silvers pulls guard! Pike easily gains side control! From side control Pike pounds down with his fists until the ref stops the fight!

 

 

 


Result: Norman Pike wins by TKO (Strikes) @ 7:20

 

 

 


Co-Main Event: Womens Division Bout

 

 

 

 


 

 

 


Evergood unloads with big right hands, as Myers makes the mistake of trying to stand up with her! Myers collapses, hurt! Evergood jumps on her and unloads with massive strikes until the ref jumps in to stop the fight!

 

 

 


Result: Piper Evergood wins by TKO (Strikes) @ 1:57

 

 

 


MAIN EVENT

 

 

 

 


Heavyweight Tournament Final: CCC Heavyweight Championship Bout

 

 

 

 


 

 

 


Pike throws an errant jab, Bogdonovitch jumps all over the opening, hitting two big right hands! Bogdonovitch continues to strike, but Pike keeps his wits, and covers up! Pike tries to wrestle, but Bogdonovitch keeps him at bay with strikes! Pike avoid several strikes, countering with stinging jabs!

 


The two fighters move into the pocket, and Pike shoots forward, looking for the takedown, but doesn't get it! Pike shoots in again, and Bogdonovitch misses with a counter right, and goes down, pulling guard! Pike easily passes to side control! Pike rolls Bogdonovitch, taking the back! Pike starts pounding away from the back mount, until the referee steps in to stop the fight!

 

 

 


Result: Norman Pike wins by TKO (Strikes) @ 8:49, winning the CCC Heavyweight Title!

 

 


After losing in the finals of the tournament, Jerry Bogdonovitch requests that I give him a match against Frank Analysis! This will likely occur at our as yet unscheduled fifth show!

Classic Cage Combat is unleashed again, as the second of four tournaments to determine the first champions of the promotion is announced, this time to determine the first champion in the Women's Division! The top 8 ranked women are brought together to determine who is the best of the best! Also in the Co-Main Event, a battle of huge Canadian heavyweights, as Eugene "The Bear" Clough takes on Sherman "The Tank" Shields!

Jingo/Socko: Thanks for reading guys! Just so everybody knows, I do encourage predictions, and there will be some prediction contests later on. However, these first four shows are pretty well planned out, so probably no contests until we're finished awarding the belts.:)

 

 

 


 

 

 

 

 


Middleweight Bout

 

 

 

 


 

 

 

 

 


The fight starts with Detroit trying a series of speculative strikes on Jenks, who avoids all of them, before throwing some punches as a cover as he shoots in for the takedown, getting stuck in half guard! That doesn't last long as after throwing some punches while catching his break, Jenks slips straight through from half guard into a mount! He starts to unload with elbows, but Detroit covers up, dealing with most of them, but one gets through opening a cut above Detroit's eye! Jenks then unload with punches, hammering away until the ref jumps in to stop the fight!

 

 

 


Result: Drew Jenks wins by TKO (Strikes) @ 3:29

 

 

 


After getting his butt kicked by Drew Jenks, Nick Detroit has the nerve to request a match with Nik Minear....Perhaps I'll throw him to Minear just for fun...

 

 

 


Womens Tournament Quarter Final Bout

 

 

 

 


 

 

 

 

 


Thea Higgins opens the bout throwing a barrage of punches, which Duke avoids, before the two fall into a grapple! Higgins wins the initial grappling, pinning Duke to the cage! Higgins controls Duke against the cage stomping hard on her foot! Higgins digs in the underhooks, looking for the takedown, but Duke refuses to go down, and wrestles her way into control of the grapple!

 


Duke keeps Higgins smothered against the cage for half a minute, but when she tries a foot stomp, Higgins uses the opportunity to regain control of the grapple! Higgins keeps Duke smothered against the cage for another minute before the ref steps in, bringing them back to center!

 


Off the stand up, Higgins shoots in looking for a big takedown, and gets it! Duke pulls half guard! Higgins throws a couple body punches, and Duke attempts a sweep that gets her nowhere! Higgins pounds away with ineffective elbow strikes, Duke deals with it easily, and tries another sweep, once again it is ineffective! This continues for another minute, then Higgins makes a sudden pass from half guard straight into a mount! Higgins rains down punches and elbows from the mount, but Duke is dealing with them easily! This continues for a few minute, then Duke attempts to roll and sweep Higgins, but instead gives up her back!

 


Higgins fires away with punches from the back mount, until the ref jumps in to stop the fight!

 

 

 


Result: Thea Higgins wins by TKO (Strikes) @ 9:50

 

 

 


Womens Tournament Quarter Final Bout

 

 

 

 


 

 

 

 

 


Maehata opens the fight with a jab that misses, then Nishina moves right in, pulling Maehata into a grapple! Nishina muscles Maehata up against the cage! Nishina stomps on Maehata's foot, and then pins her against the cage, punishing her with sharp strikes to the body for about a minute, before the ref steps in, moving them back to the center of the cage!

 


Maehata scores with a jab off the stand up, then Nishina moves in, going for the grapple, but ends up eating Maehata's jab on the counter! Maehata hits with another jab, but is pulled into a grapple by Nishina! Nishina punishes Maehata with dirty boxing, and then hits Maehata with a few punches when she tries to wriggle free!

 


Nishina once again pins Maehata against the cage! Nishina hits a couple foot stomps, and punishes Maehata with dirty boxing! Nishina works in the underhooks, and sweeps the legs, taking Maehata down! Maehata pulls guard! Nishina easily passes to side control, and transitions to mount soon after! Nishina fires away with punches from the mount, but Maehata is dealing with them well! Maehata tries to free herself, but Nishina stays in the mount position!

 


Maehata continues to deal with the blows well, she tries to transition back to guard, but Nishina maintains the mount, and continues to unload with punches, but Maehata continues to cover up and deal with them well!

 


This continues for a couple minutes, then Maehata rolls, and attempts to sweep Nishina, but only succeeds in giving up her back! Nishina unload with big punches from the back, but Maehata is wriggling around enough to keep anything from hitting cleanly! This continues for a few minutes, with Maehata trying to get out from under Nishina, and Nishina firing away with punches, but not really doing any damage, finally the ref steps in, bringing them back to their feet!

 


Maehata hits a kick to the inside of the thigh, and then moves into the pocket, looking to strike! Instead Nishina attempts a takedown, but Maehata blocks it! Both fighters unload with strikes, but neither does significant damage, and they end up in a grapple!

 


Nishina once again pins Maehata to the cage! Nishina control Maehata against the cage for over a minute! Nishina hits Maehata with a short uppercut against the cage! Nishina continues to exert control, keeping Maehata pinned to the cage for another minute! The ref steps in a brings them back to center!

 


Maehata slams a right into Nishina's gloves, but can't follow up! Nishina tries to grapple, but Maehata uses strikes to keep her at bay! Maehata begins to hit a few jabs on the counter, as Nishina tries to stand up with her! Maehata hits a scything kick to the front leg!

 


Nishina slips out of the way of a flurry of wild swings! Maehata is once again pulled into a grapple, and is punished by Nishina's dirty boxing! Nishina pins Maehata to the cage, where she pins her for more than a minute, punishing her with short punches to the ribs! Nishina slips in the underhooks, and takes Maehata down with a leg sweep!

 


Nishina ends up holding Maehata's waist as she presses her against the cage! Nishina quickly passes to side control! Nishina hits a knee to Maehata's ribs from side control! Nishina mounts Maehata! Nishina begins to unload with punches from the mount, but Maehata is dealing with them easily! Maehata attempts to move Nishina from mount, but Nishina takes her back instead! Nishina unloads with punches from the back, but Maehata is squirming around enough that she can't land anything cleanly!

 


Maehata tries to roll over several times, but Nishina blocks the attempts, and continues to unload, but not do any real damage! Finally after several minutes, the referee steps in and stands the fighters back up!

 


Maehata moves into the pocket, and score with a heavy body kick! Maehata uses her strikes to keep Nishina from grappling, while continues to score with jabs on the counter! Nishina begins to turn the tide of striking, hitting a few jabs herself! Nishina checks a couple leg kicks, and hits a couple stinging jabs!

 


Nishina moves in and attempts to grapple Maehata, and succeeds, pinning her against the cage yet again! Nishina smothers Maehata against the cage for over a minute, hitting her with short strikes to the body! After Maehata is controlled against the cage for another minute, the ref steps in bringing the fighters back to center!

 


Maehata hits a jab! Nishina shoots in for a takedown, but Maehata moved out of the way! Maehata uses strikes to keep Nishina from grappling with her! Maehata hits a jab, but gets pulled into a grapple by Nishina, who punishes her with dirty boxing! Nishina wrestles Maehata back, pinning her to the cage! Nishina controls Maehata against the cage for more than a minute! Nishina stomps on Maehata's foot, and then controls her against the cage for another minute, before the ref steps in, bringing them back to center!

 


Maehata lands a scything low kick to the front leg, and a couple jabs! Maehata blocks a takedown attempt! Maehata hits a body kick, and gets a couple jabs off the counter! Maehata uses strikes to keep Nishina out of grappling range! Maehata gets pulled into another grapple, and is punished some more by Nishina's dirty boxing! Nishina once again pins Maehata to the cage, where she smothers her until the time limit runs out, sending the decision to the judges!

 

 

 


Result: Toshie Noshina wins by Unanimous Decision @ 60:00

 

 

 

 

 


Womens Tournament Quarter Final Bout

 

 

 

 


 

 

 

 

 


Taylor opens the fight by countering a wayward jab from Palmer with two big right hands, then hits an inside leg kick! Taylor hits another jab, causing Palmer to back off! More strikes from Taylor have Palmer backing up! When Palmer comes back in, she throws another wayward jab, that Taylor counters with a series of hard right hands! Palmer hits a punch, countering a low kick from Taylor! Palmer hits another jab, but Taylor comes back hitting a solid right hook to the body! Taylor throws a barrage, but Palmer covers up, not taking any real damage, before hitting a jab of her own!

Becker shoots for a double leg, but Stein stuffs the attempt! Becker takes a nasty kick to the inside of the knee! Stein circles, but Becker steps in to press the action! Stein avoids a takedown attempt! Becker hits a jab on the counter! Both fighters move into the pocket! Stein hits a stinging jab! Stein counters a jab with a kick to the body! Becker checks a kick, and hits a solid left! Stein hits another jab, then Becker bobs her head out of the way of the next one!

 


Becker avoids a leg kick, but ends up eating a stiff jab! Stein dodges a jab, striking back with a leg kick! Becker avoids a body kick! Becker looks for the double leg, but gets caught out with a stiff right jab! Stein tries a body kick, but Becker moves out of range! Becker grapples Stein, pushing her back against the cage! Becker sinks in the underhooks, and heaves Stein into the air, blasting her with a Greco-Roman slam! Stein pulls guard! Becker pounds with elbows, but Stein deals with them easily! Becker passes form guard to side control with relative ease! Becker pounds away on Stein unloading with massive punches, until the ref steps in! What an upset, as Ruth Becker takes out the #12 P4P female in the world!

Shapiro misses a jab, and Speed counters with a kick to the ribs! Both fighters dodge a few of the others punches, and they begin circling each other! Speed punches Shapiro in the ribs, but it lacked power! Shapiro slips past a barrage of punches, firing back with a solid left! Shapiro avoids two wild punches, and hits a left jab to the cheek! There are a couple striking exchanges, where nothing really happens! Shapiro sees Speed going for a kick, and strikes first, hitting a series of punches!

 


Speed avoids a few wild right hands from Shapiro! Another ineffective striking exchange, and both fighters back off, circling again! Speed hits a stinging leg kick! The come together in the pocket, striking, but neither lands a clean shot! Another striking exchange leads to no major damage! They end up in a grapple! Shapiro hits Speed with strikes to the head in the grapple! Shapiro punishes speed with dirty boxing! Shapiro tries to pin Speed against the cage, but can't manage it as Speed escapes the grapple!

 


Another few ineffective striking exchanges! They wind up in a tight clinch! This time Speed uses dirty boxing, then Shapiro also hits some punches with his dirty boxing! Shapiro continues to hit short strikes to the side of the head from inside the grapple!

 


Shapiro wrestles Speed back, pinning him against the cage! Shapiro releases the grapple and backs up to strike, but Speed moves his head to slip past the strike, and counters with huge right hands, as Shapiro struggles to cover up! He doesn't manage it, and collapses to the ground under the onslaught, as the punches continue the rain down! The ref is forced to jump in and stop the match!

After some ineffective striking from both women, Palmer shoots in for a takedown, but Becker sprawls, and forces Palmer down into the turtle position! Becker can't roll Palmer out of the turtle, and eventually Palmer stands back up! Palmer avoids a jab, and shoots in for the takedown, ducking under the counterpunch, and getting the takedown!

 


Becker pulls guard! Palmer quickly passes guard into side control! Palmer rolls Becker over, taking the back! Palmer unloads with right hands, and Becker is getting destroyed! The referee comes in to stop the fight!

Both fighters immediately step into the pocket, unleashing strikes, but no significant damage is done! Shields grapples with Clough, pushing him up against the cage! Shields pins Clough to the cage for more than a minute, hitting him with short strikes to the body! Shields punishes Clough with some dirty boxing! Shields smothers Clough against the cage for another minute, before the referee brings the fight back to the center of the cage!

 


Both fighters step into the pocket, but Shields shoots in for the close range double leg, catching Clough by surprise, and securing the takedown! Clough only manages to pull half guard! Shields wants to stand up but cannot get out of half guard! Clough locks on the guillotine from the bottom of half guard, and sinks it in deep! Shields is forced to tap!

An exchange of blows doesn't really lead to any damage! Higgins pulls Palmer into a grapple, and pushes Palmer back against the cage! Higgins smothers Palmer against the cage for about a minute! Palmer takes a hard foot stomp from Higgins! Higgins pins Palmer to the cage for another minute, punishing her with short strikes to the body, before the ref steps in, bringing the fight back to center!

 


Higgins counters a left jab, with a solid left! Palmer shoots in for a takedown, but Higgins stuffs the attempt! Palmer tries another takedown, but Higgins defended it too! Higgins pulls Palmer into a grapple, and wrestles Palmer back against the cage! Palmer is smothered against the cage for a minute, taking punches to the ribs! Higgins tries some dirty boxing, but Palmer uses the opportunity to use her momentum to swing the fight so that Higgins is now pressed against the cage!

 


Palmer attempts to wrestle Higgins to the ground, but Higgins wrestles her way into control of the grapple instead! Higgins pins Palmer to the cage for a minute, punching her in the ribs, and stomach! Higgins keeps Palmer pinned for another minute before the ref steps in to bring the fighters back to the center of the cage!

 


Palmer shoots in for the takedown, slipping under Higgins counter jab, and securing the takedown! Palmer ends up holding a seated Higgins around the waist, pressed against the cage! Palmer shifts Higgins onto her back, and takes side control! Palmer rolls Higgins, taking the back! Palmer fires away with punches from the back, but does little damage! It continues for a while with Higgins attempting to shake Palmer, but not being able to, and Palmer unloading with strikes, not doing any real damage, until the ref moves in and brings the fighters back to their feet!

 


Palmer drives in with too much pace, and power, easily scoring another takedown on Higgins! Palmer ends up holding Higgins waist as she presses her up against the cage! Palmer rolls her over, and easily takes the mount position! Palmer pounds away from the mount, but Higgins cover up, dealing with it easily! Higgins tries to move Palmer from mount, but only succeeds in giving up her back!

 


Palmer begins firing away with strikes from the back, but Higgins is covering up, and dealing with the strikes! Another stalemate, as Palmer can't hit any telling strikes, and Higgins can't shake her off her back, until the ref steps in to stand them up!

 


Higgins tries to grapple, but Palmer counters with a takedown attempt! Higgins stuffs the attempt! Higgins grapples Palmer, and pushes her back so that she's up against the cage! Palmer is held against the cage for over a minute, taking an occasional punch to the ribs! Higgins smothers Palmer against the cage for another minute, before the ref brings the fight back to center!

 


Palmer attempts a takedown, but Higgins moved out of the way! Higgins grapples Palmer, once again pinning her up against the cage! Higgins steps back, preparing to strike, but Palmer strikes first, hitting a left jab! Palmer attempts another takedown, that is blocked by Higgins!

 


Palmer shoots in for the takedown, and slides past Higgins counter right, getting the takedown! Higgins pulled guard! Palmer smothers Higgins against the ground! Palmer tries to pass guard, but Higgins blocks the attempt! Higgins is smothered against the ground by Palmer, who blocks an attempt by Higgins to slip in the underhooks! Higgins blocks another attempt by Palmer to get past her guard! The referee brings the fighters back to their feet!

 


Higgins grapples with Palmer again, pinning her up against the cage! Higgins smothers Palmer against the cage for over two minutes, landing the occasional short strike to the ribs, before the ref brings the fight back to center!

 


Palmer throws some haymakers, then chooses to shoot in on Higgins! Higgins stuffs the attempt forcing Palmer down to her knees in the turtle position! Higgins pounds away, but Palmer absorbs the strikes, and stands back up!

 


Higgins grapples Palmer, and pins her against the cage, and holds her there for over two minutes, before the referee brings the fight back to center! Higgins pulls Palmer immediately into another grapple, pinning her against the cage! Higgins steps back to strike, but Palmer hits two winged punches! Higgins catches Palmer with a crisp jab!

 


Palmer punches Higgins in the ribs, but it lacked power! Palmer avoids a jab, and shoots in for a takedown! Higgins defends the takedown, pulling Palmer into a clinch! Higgins wrestles Palmer back against the cage! Higgins hits a foot stomp, and then attempts a knee strike, but Palmer uses wrestling to avoid it! Higgins hits Palmer with a short uppercut! Higgins smothers Palmer against the cage, using dirty boxing to punish her! Higgins attempts knees again, but Palmer pulls the clinch tight to stop her! Palmer uses her wrestling to block some dirty boxing! The referee steps in, bringing the fight back to center!

 


Palmer catches Higgins moving in with a jab! Palmer attempts a takedown, but it is stuffed, and Higgins forces Palmer down to her knees in the turtle position! Higgins unloads with right hands, but they are dealt with well, and Palmer returns to her feet!

 


Higgins pulls Palmer into a grapple, and backs her against the cage yet again, smothering her there for thirty seconds! Higgins backs off to strike, but Palmer dodges and hits a jab! Palmer hits a couple more jabs from the pocket! Palmer wallops Higgins with a huge looping right hand, and Higgins is out cold!

Once again the Classic Cage Combat team have put together a classic style 8-man tournament to determine the third of the four champions of the promotion! Norman Pike and Shannon Palmer have earned their honours, who of our 8 lightweight competitors will join them! Also in our co-main event, it's a strikers showdown, as kickboxer Bart Diggs, faces boxing specialist Todd D'Abruzzo in a middleweight showdown!

Kass comes out swinging to start the fight, but Paulson dodges the flurries of strikes, hitting with counter jabs! An exchange of strikes results in no damage, but Kass then unloads, damaging Paulson with some big right hands! Kass hits with a flurry of punches! Paulson shoots in for a takedown, but Kass counters, hitting with a left jab that lands hard!

 


Paulson misses with a left jab, and Kass unloads on the counter with heavy right hands! Paulson can only cover up, and pray to survive! Paulson falls to the ground under Kass's onslaught! Kass continues to rain down punches until the ref jumps between them to stop the fight!

Claremont unloads with a barrage of punches as soon as the ref starts the fight, but Lee is able to move back and avoid them! Lee shoots in for a takedown, but Claremont sprawls, blocking the attempt, and wrestling Lee to the ground, ending up on top in guard!

 


Claremont wants to stand up, but Lee holds his guard, not allowing him to escape! Lee locks in a triangle armbar from the bottom of guard, and Claremont is forced to tap out!

McEnterry misses with a punch, opening himself up for Diggle to connect with two jabs, and a beautiful right hook to the body! Both fighters step into the pocket and throw strikes, but neither connects! Diggle avoids a jab, connecting with a hard teep, knocking McEnterry to the ground! Diggle unloads with punches on his helpless opponent until the ref steps in the stop the fight!

Adams comes out of the gate swinging, but Dickering avoids the blows, countering with several left jabs! Adams goes for the takedown but Dickering sprawls, dragging Adams down to the mat in a loose front facelock! Adams springs to his feet sharply, sensing a knee to the head coming!

 


Adams attempts to wrestle with Dickering, but Britt counters the clinch attempt, hitting a hard left jab to the cheek! Dickering steps back, avoiding another takedown attempt by Adams! Both fighters step in for an ineffective striking exchange, and they end up in a clinch!

 


Adams sinks in the underhooks, and heaves Dickering up, blasting him with a Greco-Roman slam! Dickering pulls guard! Adams passes with seeming ease into side control, and from there, easily slips into the mount! Adams begins pounding away with punches from mount, and though one gets through, opening a cut above Dickering's eye, most are ineffective!

 


Dickering tries to sweep out of the bottom of mount, but gets rolled, and Adams takes the back! Adams fires away with punches from the back, and while he seems to have Dickering in a bad spot at first, Dickering begins defending himself, and in the end is taking little damage! After a couple minutes of well defended strikes, the ref steps in and brings the fighters back to their feet!

 


Adams hits a jab, and then the referee stops the clock, as he wants to check on Dickering's cut! The doctor decides the fight can continue! Dickering stings Adams with a series of quick lefts! Adams tries for a takedown, but Dickering defends against it! Dickering backs away, avoiding another takedown attempt by Adams!

 


Dickering hits Adams with a jab, then both fighters unload strikes in the pocket, but little damage is done! Dickering unloads with a series of jabs off the counter! Dickering gets out of range to avoid another Adams takedown! Dickering continues to land punches off the counter! Adams attempts another takedown, but Dickering blocks it!

 


Adams moves into the pocket, when he shoots in for a takedown Dickering counters with a hard right, leaving Adams wobbling! Dickering continues to land small strikes, and avoids another takedown attempt! Dickering hits some more jabs off the counter, then Adams shoots in for the takedown, but Dickering sprawls, and pulls Adams into a clinch!

 


Dickering tries to strike, but Adams wrestles his way into dominating the grapple! Adams wrestles Dickering back, pinning him against the cage! Adams smothers Dickering against the cage for well over a minute! Adams smothers Dickering for another minute before the ref steps in and brings the fighters back to center!

 


Adams shoots in for a takedown, and Dickering sprawls, pulling Adams to the ground in a loose front facelock! However, Adams quickly springs back to his feet! Dickering hits another jab, and the fighters circle each other, looking for an opening!

 


Dickering scores with a jab, then both fighters step into the pocket! Adams scores with a jab! Dickering dodges a jab, and hits a crushing right hook to the body! Dickering continues to punish Adams with jabs on the counter! Adams begins countering with some jabs of his own! Both fighters move into the pocket and strikes, but neither does any damage!

 


Dickering moves out of range to avoid another takedown attempt from Adams! Adams shoots in for another takedown attempt! It's stuffed by Dickering, who pulls Adams into a clinch! Dickering gets outwrestled, and Adams breaks the grapple! Adams hits a couple jabs, before the fighters seperate and begin circling, looking for an opening!

 


Adams pulls Dickering into a grapple, hitting short punches to the head! Adams wrestles Dickering back against the cage! Adams sinks in the underhooks to attempt a takedown, but Dickering wrestles his way into the dominant position in the grapple! Dickering tries dirty boxing, but Adams wrestles his way into control of the grapple instead!

 


Adams punishes Dickering with his dirty boxing, working him over with short punches against the cage for a couple minutes! The referee brings the fighters back to center!

 


Dickering hits a couple jabs on the counter! Adams looks for the takedown, but walks right into a big right hand! Adams is looking to grapple with Dickering, but Dickering is keeping back out of range! Adams begins to land some heavy jabs off the counter!

 


Adams pulls Dickering into a grapple, and wrestles him back against the cage! Dickering is controlled against the cage, while Adams punishes him with dirty boxing! Adams hits a couple foot stomps, while maintaining control of Dickering against the cage! Adams hits Dickering with a short left uppercut! Adams controls Dickering against the cage for another minute, before the ref steps in the bring them back to center!

 


Adams pulls Dickering into another grapple! Adams hits a few punches with dirty boxing from the grapple! Adams wrestles Dickering back against the cage! Dickering is controlled against the cage, and ends up taking a sharp right to the ear! Adams continues to punish Dickering with dirty boxing! Dickering steps back from the cage, preparing to strike, and lands a hard right! Adams misses with a jab, and Dickering hits a right hook to the body! Dickering lands a left jab, and a couple more! Bean feints in, and Grable falls for it, getting hit with a flurry of punches! After another feint, Bean hits another flurry of small punches! Bean strikes with a series of jabs, and both fighters move into the pocket, both striking, but neither doing any real damage, and they fall into a clinch off the exchange!

 


Grable sinks in the underhooks, looking for the takedown! Grable manhandles Bean into the air, slamming him to the ground! Bean pulls guard! Grable looks to pass to side control, but can only get to half guard! However, Grable shows his wrestling dominance seconds later, passing straight from the half guard into a mount! Grable unloads with punches and elbows from the mount, but can't seem to land one cleanly!

 


Bean attempts to sweep out of the mount, but gets rolled instead, as Grable takes his back! Grable unloads with strikes, but is unbalanced, and Bean turns over and spins, ending up on top in guard! Grable pushes Bean off him with the strength in his legs!

 


Bean dives back down on Grable, but Grable pushes him away, and starts to scramble! Bean comes out on top, with Grable pulling guard! Bean throws punches, but they are easily blocked by the gloves of Grable! Grable works some seperation, and tries to sweep his way to a better position!

 


Grable is left turtled up with Bean behind him! Bean begins pounding away on the body, and sides of Grable's head! Grable takes some damage, but in the end absorbs the majority of the strikes, and ends up back on his feet!

Bean hits a series of jabs, then Grable foes for a double leg, but is stopped by Bean's sprawl! Grable is pushed down face first on the ground! Bean unloads with punches that Grable struggles to deal with, but Grable recovers his senses, and when Bean goes for a knee strike, Grable uses the opportunity to slip out, and get to his feet!

 


Bean hits a number of jabs off the counter! Grable goes for the takedown, but Bean strikes first, rocking Grable with a solid right hand! Grable goes for the takedown, but Bean blocks it! Grable goes for yet another takedown, and gets rocked by yet another solid right!

 


Bean and Grable allow each other to circle for a while, looking for an opening! Both fighters step into the pocket, and Bean hits a solid left! Bean stuffs a takedown, and hits two straight lefts! Grable and Bean each hit jabs off the counter! Grable shoots in for the takedown, but runs right into a right jab on the cheek!

 


Grable throws a couple looping haymakers, before shooting in for the takedown, once again running right into a right jab from Bean! Grable goes for another takedown, but is stopped by Bean's sprawl, and is forced to the ground in a turtled position! Bean fires away with big lefts, but can't stop Grable getting back to his feet!

 


Bean lands a couple jabs on the counter, then Grable shoots in for a takedown, instead getting hit by a counter left jab from Bean! Bean and Grable both attempt several strikes, but all are blocked or avoided! Bean misses with a jab, Grable countering with a hard right, and then landing an uppercut that sends Bean to the floor, out cold!

Diggle lands a punch to the ribs! Lee tries to clinch with Diggle, but Diggle strikes first, rocking Lee with a right hand, sending him to the ground, stunned! Lee is on the ground, waiting for Diggle to make his move!

 


Diggle hits a sharp kick to the calf! Diggle dives in to secure ground position, but Lee pushes him back and scrambles! The scramble ends with both fighters on their feet! Both fighters avoid punches! Diggle hits a sharp kick to the shin! Diggle uses his strikes to keep Lee at range so he can't grapple!

 


Diggle avoids a takedown attempt from Lee! Lee finally pulls Diggle into a grapple! Lee wrestles Diggle back against the cage! Diggle is controlled against the cage, and takes an elbow to the face from Lee! Lee continues to control Diggle, punishing him with dirty boxing! Diggle takes a foot stomp, as Lee continues to assert control!

 


Lee hits Diggle with a sharp right to the ear with dirty boxing! Lee smother Diggle against the cage for another minute before the ref steps in bringing the fight back to center! The fighter circles each other, looking for an opening! Lee shoots in for the takedown, coming in with too much pace and power for Diggle, and getting the takedown! Diggle is seated with his back to the cage!

Grable sinks in underhooks, and looks for the takedown, but Adams refuses to go down! Grable loses control of Adams, who circles out and returns to center! Adams hits a counter jab! Adams tries for the takedown, but Grable sprawls and wrestles Adams to the ground, ending up on top in guard!

 


Grable manages to pass Adams guard, but only to half guard! Adams bursts to life, scrambling for position! Grable ends up on his back pulling half guard! Adams tries to unload with punches but they are easily dealt with! Adams passes Grable's half guard with ease, gaining side control, and then transitions from side control to mount! Grable tries to get out of mount, but only succeeds in giving up his back to Adams! Adams unloads with massive strikes from the back mount, until the ref steps in the stop the fight!

While this match up looks interesting on paper, who knows what Richardson will be up to in 2-6 months when D'Abruzzo gets back from his groin injury! How you get a groin injury from pounding on a guy for two minutes I don't know, but there it is!

Lee goes for a takedown, but Adams blocks it, and wrestles Lee against the cage! Adams tries a foot stomp, but Lee turns him around so Adams is against the cage again! Lee smothers Adams against the cage for a minute! The ref brings the fight back to center!

Adams pulls Lee into a grapple, attempt to wrestle him against the cage, but he fails, and Lee spins out of the grapple! Chapin hits a jab on the counter, then avoids a jab, before shooting in for the takedown, which Jellyman avoids! Chapin pulls Jellyman into a grapple, attempting a slam, that Jellyman blocks, before slipping out of the grapple! Chapin shoots in on Jellyman again, but Jellyman steps back to avoid it! Chapin moves his head out of the way of a jab, and hits a jab on Jellyman!

 

Chapin tries a jab, that Jellyman avoids, countering with a barrage of right hands, forcing Chapin back! Jellyman's next jab misses though, and Chapin connects with a jab on the counter! After avoiding a couple more jabs, Chapin backs off to create some distance!

 

Chapin shoots in for another takedown, but Jellyman avoids it! Chapin pulls Jellyman into a grapple, then heaves him up, slamming Jellyman to the ground! Jellyman pulls guard! Chapin passes easily from guard to side control, then attempts a kimura, but Jellyman defends against it! Chapin attempts the kimura again, but Jellyman once again blocks the attempt!

 

Chapin wrenches in the armbar, and Jellyman is forced to tap! Chapin goes out in style, picking up the submission victory in his retirement bout!

Both fighters step into the pocket, and strike, but neither causes any real damage, they fall into a grapple off the exchange! Cahill smothers Plaice's dirty boxing, and gains the dominant position in the grapple! Cahill wrestles Plaice back against the cage!

 

Cahill hits Plaice with a hard right to the ribs! Plaice takes a knee strike to the inside of his knee! Cahill punishes Plaice with dirty boxing! Cahill controls Plaice against the cage, hitting a sharp right to his ear! Cahill stuns Plaice, hitting him with a right hand to the side of the head! Cahill sees a kick coming and strikes first with a solid right! Plaice slips past a jab, hitting one of his own! Both fighters step into the pocket and strike, but neither does any real damage, and they end up in the clinch! The grappling doesn't last long, and they break away from each other!

 

Cahill stings Plaice with a series of quick lefts! The fighters enter the pocket and exchange again, ending up in the clinch! Plaice gets in a couple ineffective strikes, but Cahill gains control of the grapple after Plaice loses his balance! Cahill punishes Plaice with dirty boxing, then wrestles him back against the cage! Cahill hits a knee strike to the side of the ribs!

 

Cahill hits a brutal right uppercut flush on the chin of Plaice, knocking him down! Cahill dives in quickly, securing the mount position! Cahill pounds away with massive elbow strikes, opening a gash under Plaice's eye! Cahill pounds away from the mount with elbows, but Plaice deals with them well!

 

Plaice tries to sweep Cahill from the mount, but ends up giving up his back instead! Cahill attempts a rear naked choke, but Plaice doesn't allow himself to be flattened out! Cahill tries again, and Plaice defends again! Third time's the charm, as Cahill finally gets Plaice flattened out, and he has to tap!

Ratcliffe blasts Hinchcliffe again with the knee! Ratcliffe misses with a knee, but maintains control of the clinch! Hinchcliffe hits with another huge knee to the face! Hinchcliffe cannot escape the clinch! Ratcliffe drives his knee into Hinchcliffe's face again! Hinchcliffe finally manages to escape the clinch!

 

Both fighters move into the pocket, but an exchange of strikes goes nowhere! The referee calls for a stop to check Hinchcliffe's cut! The doctor says the fight can continue! Cole throws a couple punches as a distraction as he goes in for the takedown! Henson saw it coming though, and got out of range! Cole catches a right body kick, getting the takedown on Henson, though Henson manages to pull guard!

 

Cole passes guard pretty easily, gaining side control! Cole tries for an americana, but Henson blocked the attempt! However Cole gets the armbar applied, and Henson is force to tap out!

Hinchcliffe hits a counter jab, then throws a jab, which Cole counters with a flurry of punches! Both fighters exchange strikes, but no damage is done! They fall into a messy clinch! Cole sinks in the double underhooks, and heaves Hinchcliffe up, blasting him with the Greco-Roman slam! Cole gains side control!

 

Cole hits a knee strike to the ribs! Cole throws a few right hands, then blocks Hinchcliffe's attempt to gain guard! Cole then sinks in the armbar, forcing Hinchcliffe to tap out!

LuPone dodges a jab, and fires back with an inside leg kick! Stiller hits a jab on the counter! LuPone covers up to absorb a barrage of big right hands! LuPone continues to work the counters, hitting jabs, and inside leg kicks!

 

LuPone counters a jab with a straight punch, but Stiller sees LuPone's next kick coming, and gets out of the way, countering with a series of quick jabs! Both fighters come together and throw strikes, but neither does any real damage! Stiller moves his head out of the way of a jab, and hits a barrage of huge right hands, knocking LuPone down! Lupone is alert though, and when Stiller comes in to secure ground position he pushes him back and scrambles for position!

 

Neither fighter gains the advantage in the scramble, and both end up back on their feet! LuPone moves out of range of a flurry of punches, then avoids a teep, countering with a crisp jab! Both fighters step in and strike, but neither does significant damage, and they fall into a messy clinch!

 

The fighters break the grapple and begin circling! Using head movement to dodge a jab, Stiller hits a barrage of punches on LuPone! Retreating, LuPone looks punch drunk! He could be in trouble! Stiller unloads with heavy right hands, knocking LuPone down! Stiller goes in for the kill, stomping and kicking LuPone! Stiller hits several big stomps and kicks, but somehow LuPone is hanging on!

 

Stiller comes in looking to get dominant ground position, and LuPone initiates a scramble! Neither fighter gains an advantage, and they end up back on their feet! They comes together in the center and throw strike, but no real harm is done by either! They end up in a grapple!

 

Stiller wrestles LuPone back against the cage! Stiller hits LuPone with a nice short uppercut! Stiller punishes LuPone with dirty boxing! Stiller hits a knee to the inside of the thigh! Stiller breaks the grapple, and steps back to strike! LuPone however strikes first, hitting a crisp jab on Stiller, rocking his head back!

Stiller's jab doesn't find it's target, and LuPone hits a kick to the ribs! LuPone misses with a kick, giving Stiller an opening to hit a jab! Stiller hits a solid left jab! A left jab misses, and Stiller hits with a jab of his own! LuPone hits a couple more body kicks off the counter!

 

Stiller slips past a jab, hitting a left hook to the body! Stiller catches LuPone with a barrage of big right hands, knocking him down! Stiller quickly pounces, raining down punches on LuPone! LuPone shows great instincts however, pulling half guard to avoid the blows!

 

Stiller attempts to pass half guard, but can't manage it! Using an underhook as a set up, LuPone scrambles for position! The scramble ends with the fighters standing! Stiller hits a crisp left jab! Still avoids a kick to the leg, and hits a left hand! Both fighters exchange strikes, but no real damage is done!

 

LuPone hits a kick to the ribs! Stiller checks a low kick, and hits a flurry of jabs and punches! Stiller sees a kick coming, but strikes first with a left to the cheek! LuPone hits a scything low kick to the leg, and Stiller winces as the punishment continues!

Classic Cage Combat presents it's first title defense, as after knocking off Zane Wybock in mere seconds, Wilson Franklyn aims to take out Norman Pike in a Heavyweight Title bout! Pike will be no easy target, as he holds victories over Petey Barnum, Jon Silvers, and Jerry Bogdonovich to his credit, as he cruised through the Heavyweight Championship Tournament!

 

The co-main event will be the final of a tournament pitting four women against each other in a match that will determine who will get the first shot at Shannon Palmer's Womens Title! Piper Evergood returns to the cage, after an impressive first round knock out of Leslie Myers, where she will face newcomer Chelsea Lawson, who is coming off an impressive victory over Beckie Dexter at WEFF 4 in the first semi-final! Then, in the other semi-final newcomer Chiyo Yanagimoto, who despite coming off a loss in her last fight, is still one of the best pound for pound female fighters in the world, will take on Thea Higgins, who was the finalist defeated by Shannon Palmer in the finals of the Women's Tournament!

 

Also, on the undercard, Jerry Bogdonovich asked for a fight against veteran heavyweight Frank Analysis, and now he's got it!

Both fighters step in, firing off strikes, but neither lands anything significant, and they fall into a messy clinch! Gayle locks in the underhooks, and sweeps the legs, getting the takedown! Richards pulls guard!

 

Gayle pounds away with elbows, but doesn't do any real damage, with Richard comfortable in the guard position! Gayle works to pass the guard, and gets to side control! Richards blocks an attempt by Gayle to transition to the mount! Gayle blocks an attempt by Richards to pull guard!

 

Gayle hits a knee strike to the ribs! Gayle then transitions to mount! Gayle pounds away with elbows, but doesn't hit anything clean! One of the elbows must have slipped through, as a cut has opened above Richards eye! Gayle unloads with big punches from the mount, but they are dealt with comfortably!

 

Richards attempts to sweep from the bottom, but gets rolled instead, and Gayle takes her back! Gayle works in both underhooks, and tries to stretch Richards out, but Richards manages to fight off the rear naked choke attempt!

 

Gayle tries for the rear naked again, but Richards once again fights it off! Richards attempts to get free of the underhooks, but can't! Gayle attempts the rear naked choke again, but Richards stops her from getting the arm under the chin!

 

Richards once again fails to get free of the underhooks, and then fights off yet another choke attempt! Gayle tries again, but still cannot get the arm under Richards chin! Richards fights off yet another rear naked attempt! Richards tries to get free again, but cant, and has to fight off another choke attempt!

 

Richards continues to not allow Gayle to get her arm under the chin, fighting off another attempt! Gayle continues to maintain control with the double underhooks, but Richards fights off another rear naked choke! Gayle isn't giving up on the move, as Richards fights off another rear naked choke!

 

Gayle just will not let go of those underhooks, and Richards fights off another attempt! And another! And another! And yet again! Richards once again doesn't let the arm in under the chin! Gayle continues to go for the rear naked, and once again it is fought off!

 

What an exciting and varied offense! Richards fights off another rear naked! Gayle cannot complete the rear naked choke! Richards keeps the arm from slipping under the chin! Gayle continues to maintain complete control, but Richards fights off the choke again!

 

This continues for quite some time! Until finally, just after the 23 minute mark, Gayle finally sinks in the choke, and Richards has to tap!

Evergood feints moving in, then when Lawson steps forward, throwing a flurry of punches, Evergood unloads with a barrage of heavy right hands on the counter! Lawson stumbles, almost falling over as she backs off, genuinely rocked! Lawson gets hit with a barrage of big left hands that knock her to the ground! Evergood starts pounding on Lawson with heavy punches, but Lawson manages to pull her to side control in an effort to survive!

 

Lawson manages to pull Evergood into half guard! Evergood pounds away from the half guard, but Lawson deals with the blows comfortably! Evergood continues to throw punches as she plans her next move! Lawson can't sweep Evergood off of her, but the ref steps in, standing the fight back up!

 

Lawson steps forward into the pocket to strike with Evergood, and get rocked by a huge left cross! Her legs turn to jelly, and she collapses to the ground! Evergood starts pounding on Lawson, but once again can't finish her, getting pulled into half guard!

 

Evergood throws some punches to the body as she tries to catch her breath! Lawson takes the opportunity to transition from half guard to full guard! Evergood pounds away from guard, but Lawson deals with it easily! Lawson drags Evergood down, smothering her with close control!

 

Evergood throws a couple punches to the body! Lawson smothers Evergood, keeping her from posturing up! Evergood throws a couple punches to the body! Lawson pushes Evergood away with her leg strength! Evergood throws a wild punch that doesn't connect, and Lawson sucks her back down into half guard!

 

Evergood throws some punches at Lawson, who easily deals with them! Evergood continues throwing small strikes for another minute, before the referee intervenes and stands the fight back up!

 

Evergood avoids a series of big punches, and counters with a jab! Both fighters exchange strikes, with neither taking much damage, then Lawson unloads with a flurry, but Evergood covers up and absorbs the strikes! Evergood shows her elusiveness, evading punch after punch from Lawson! Both fighters step in an throw strikes, but neither does any real damage!

 

Both fighters start throwing punches at close range! Evergood hits Lawson with a left hand to the chin, once again knocking her down! Evergood starts pounding away on Lawson, Lawson is livid as the referee steps in way too early to stop the fight!

Minear attempts a slam, but Detroit blocked the attempt! Minear catches Detroit by surprise, getting a single leg takedown! Detroit pulls guard! Minear pounds away, but Detroit keeps far enough away to remain safe! Detroit uses his legs to push Minear right out of the guard!

 

Minear dive in to attempt to secure ground position, and easily attains side control, and transitions quickly to mount! Minear has good control, and begins to pound away with heavy punches from the mount, until the ref steps in to stop the fight!

Nik Minear comes to me, asking for a title shot against Greg Atteveld, and while this win has propelled Minear into the top echelons of the division, it will be a couple months before he can fight again. So we'll see.

Yanagimoto throws some punches from the bottom, but Higgins leans back to avoid them! Higgins smother Yanagimoto against the ground! Higgins hits a few weak strikes, and the ref stands the fight back up!

 

Higgins shoots in for a takedown, but Yanagimoto avoids it! Higgins catches another kick, shooting in, and getting a takedown into half guard! Higgins passes easily from half guard to side control! Higgins hits a knee to the ribs from side control!

 

Higgins has good control, and begins pounding away on Yanagimoto! Higgins continues dropping bombs from side control, until the ref comes in to save Yanagimoto, stopping the fight!

Pike avoids a jab, and hits a jab! Pike's jab misses, allowing Franklyn to fire back with a jab! Pike avoids a flurry of punches, hitting a nice left hand! Pike shoots in for the takedown! Franklyn moved out of range in time to avoid the attempt!

 

Franklyn counters a jab, hitting a left jab to the cheek! Pike avoids a couple jabs, then shoots in on Franklyn! Franklyn sprawls, stopping Pike in his tracks, pulling him to the ground in a loose front facelock! Franklyn pounds away with rights, hitting several big shots to the body, and side of the head!

 

Franklyn continues to pound away, landing several heavy rights to the side of the head! Franklyn continues to throw rights, but they are absorbed, and Pike manages to get to his feet! Foxworthy controls Wyman against the cage, stomping down hard on his foot! Foxworthy sinks in the underhooks, and easily controls Wyman, tripping him and taking him to the ground! The takedown leaves Wyman seated with his back against the cage!

 

Foxworthy smothers Wyman against the cage! Foxworthy battles for position, gaining side control! Foxworthy slips behind Wyman, taking the back! Foxworthy attempts to lock in the rear naked choke, but Wyman spins, and gets top position, in Foxworthy's guard!

 

Wyman cannot pass Foxworthy's guard! Using his leg strength, Foxworthy pushes Wyman up off of him! Wyman steps back and allows Foxworthy to return to his feet! Foxworthy shoots in for a takedown, but Wyman counters with a clean left jab! Wyman attempts to clinch with Foxworthy! Foxworthy attempts a takedown as Wyman steps in, but it is blocked!

 

Foxworthy attempts another takedown, but Wyman strikes first, hitting a right that catches Foxworthy flush, rocking him! Foxworthy backs off, circling! Wyman catches Foxworthy with a solid left jab! The blow looks like it may have broken Foxworthy's jaw!

 

Foxworthy goes for the takedown again, and Wyman rocks him with a hard right cross! Foxworthy's knees go wobbly, and he falls to the ground! He regains his senses quickly however! Wyman hits a kick to the leg! Wyman motions for Foxworthy to stand up, and he does!

 

Foxworthy tries another takedown, but Wyman counters with another heavy right, knocking Foxworthy down! Foxworthy shakes the cobwebs out quickly though! Foxworthy takes a kick to the legs! Wyman allows Foxworthy to rise!

 

Foxworthy shoots in on Wyman, getting the takedown! Wyman pulls guard! Foxworthy unloads with elbows, but Wyman deals with them! Foxworthy lies on top of Wyman, smothering him! Foxworthy passes guard, gaining side control! Foxworthy mounts Wyman! Foxworthy pounds away, but none of the shots land cleanly! Foxworthy unloads with elbows, and Wyman deals with most of them, but one slips through, opening a cut underneath Wyman's eye!

 

Wyman tries to sweep Foxworthy, but Foxworthy takes his back! Foxworthy digs in the double underhooks! Foxworthy stretches Wyman out in the rear naked choke, and there is nothing Wyman can do but tap out!

Monroe pulls Marshall into a grapple! Monroe wrestles Marshall back against the cage! Monroe sinks the underhooks in, and trips Marshall, taking him down hard!

 

Marshall ends up seated with his back against the cage, and Monroe pressing on him! Monroe pounds away on Marshall, hitting several good shots in the process! Monroe pushes Marshall onto his back, and immediately climbs into a mount position! Monroe pounds away with elbows, but few of the shots land cleanly! Marshall tries to roll Monroe, but Monroe takes his back!

 

Monroe sinks in the double underhooks, and looks to apply the rear naked choke, but Marshall won't allow it! Monroe tries the choke again, but Marshall defends against it! Monroe tries to get the rear naked, but Marshall won't allow the arm under his chin!

 

Marshall fights off another choke attempt! Monroe keeps his hooks in despite Marshall's attempts to unlock them! Marshall fights off another choke attempt! Monroe tries for the choke, but Marshall defends against it! This continues for a while!

 

It continues with the rear naked attempts until just after the 15 minutes mark, when Monroe finally sinks the choke in, and Marshall has to tap out!

Both fighters advance and throw, but neither hits a telling strike! Both fighters step in and throw strikes, doing no damage, but they end up in a clinch!

 

The grappling doesn't last long, as they both break away! Laine avoids a flurry of punches, and hits a kick to the outside of the left leg! Laine slips past a jab, and hits a kick to the outside of the left thigh! Curbeam sees the low kick coming, and strikes first with a solid punch! Curbeam slips past a left jab, and counters with several big right hands, driving Laine back against the cage! Getting destroy, Laine is knocked down, but the hits just keep on coming! The ref finally pulls Curbeam off of Laine, ending the fight!

McCoy slips past a right hand, countering with a vicious leg kick! Everett covers up, avoiding a flurry of punches! McCoy counters a jab, hitting a straight jab! Everett slips past a flurry of right and lefts, unloading with some heavy right hands!

 

McCoy staggers backward, looking dazed, that last shot must have rocked her! Everett throws a vicious right uppercut in an attempt to finish McCoy, but she is just able to avoid it! Everett counters a weak kick, with a crisp jab! A jab doesn't find it's intended target, allowing McCoy to hit a flurry of small strikes! Each fighters hits several jabs on the counter!

 

From the pocket Everett fires off a barrage of big punches to the head, and body, knocking McCoy down! Everett senses victory, and begins unloading on McCoy with big punches! Everett hits several big punches, finally the onslaught is ended when McCoy pulls Everett down into side control!

 

Everett cannot get the mount! Everett sinks in an armbar from side control, but McCoy's arms pops free! Everett rolls McCoy, taking her back! Everett attempts an armbar, but McCoy rolls and pulls her arm free, ending up with side control over Everett!

 

Everett sweeps McCoy over, and they both end up back on their feet! Everett moves into the pocket, hitting a left jab! Everett hits a series of quick punches from the pocket! Everett lands a jab! Everett dodges a body kick, hitting a sequence of small punches!

 

Everett continues to hit jabs off the counter! McCoy slips past a straight punch, and lands a nice left! McCoy hits Everett with a punch to the ribs! Everett slips past a jab, hitting one of her own! McCoy counters a jab with a jab! A jab misses, allowing Everett to hit a flurry of quick punches that sting McCoy!

 

Both fighters move into the pocket and throw, but no damage is done, and they fall into a clinch! Everett controls the clinch, hitting short range punches! McCoy and Everett seperate, and we have a stand off!

Both fighters step into the pocket off the referee's signal, throwing strikes, but neither does any real damage! The fighters continue exchanging strikes for nearly three minutes, not really doing any damage to one another! Slipping past a flurry of punches Shodwart counters with a big right hand that knocks Norman to the ground! Shodwart knows a golden opportunity when he sees one, and pounces on Norman, unloading with massive punches! Shodwart continues to rain down bombs until the ref jumps in to stop the fight! The crowd rain down boos, and Norman is rightly furious, as that was definately an early stoppage!

 

 

 

Result: Grant Shodwart wins by TKO (Strikes) @ 4:07

Two of the top Canadian women's competitors in the world make their debuts in the cage as Classic Cage Combat presents CCC: Arroway vs. Becker! In the main event of the evening, Alyson Arroway makes her debut, coming off decision wins over Jennie Gill, and Kerry Silverman at WEFF 4 & 5 respectively, she looks to get a win over Ruth Becker! Though Becker scored a surprise first round victory over Henrietta Stein in the first round of the women's title tournament, she fell to eventual champion Shannon Palmer in the semi-finals!

 

The co-main event of the evening will be the finals of a tournament in the heavyweight division, which is a chance for three youngsters, and Eugene Clough to vault themselves up the rankings in the Heavyweight division! In the first semi-final Allen LeFleur will take on Samuel Russo, and in the second Nate MacReary will take on Eugene Clough, whose surprise submission victory over Sherman Shields has people thinking he could be a contender again!

 

Topping off the undercard, The "Canadian Storm" touches down in CCC, as Erica Page, coming off a TKO victory over Maggie Martin at WEFF 5 makes her CCC debut, against Hanae Maehata, attempting to bounce back from her disappointing first round exit against Toshie Noshina in the women's title tournament!
