WOLF and the revenge of Emma Evans (RTG)

Prediction Contest

Jingo 3/5

Jaded 2/5

Jaded was unlucky, setting up next's month main event meant i was going for one heel win and one face win in the two main events, and he went the wrong way.

So overall that makes it:

Jaded 7/10 (1 shared win)

Boltinho 5/5 (1 shared win)

Oregano 4/5

Occasional 4/5

Jingo 3/5 (1 win)

Keith Adams vs Glen Ward in a ladder match for the WOLF championship

An interesting choice: banged up veteran and ground game specialist in a ladder match? Time will tell whether that is inspired or insane

http://i1244.photobucket.com/albums/gg567/Portlius/WOLF%20Roster/MichaelGregory.jpgvshttp://i1244.photobucket.com/albums/gg567/Portlius/WOLF%20Roster/Trance.jpg

Michael Gregory vs Trance

Should be an easy win for the veteran Trance over the rookie Gregory, but will the charismatic muscleman rise to the occasion in his biggest singles match to date?

http://i1244.photobucket.com/albums/gg567/Portlius/WOLF%20Roster/BaliDaljit.jpghttp://i1244.photobucket.com/albums/gg567/Portlius/WOLF%20Roster/CVFP_MaskedMale_097.jpgvshttp://i1244.photobucket.com/albums/gg567/Portlius/WOLF%20Roster/CVFP_MaskedMale_013.jpghttp://i1244.photobucket.com/albums/gg567/Portlius/WOLF%20Roster/NevilleJones.jpg

Daljit and Rodito vs Vicious and Neville

There are 15 combinations of face tag teams available to WOLF and 15 more heel tag teams. Unashamedly this is a trawl for tag team chemistry.

Leighton Buzzard vs Riddick Jordan

The proverbial rotten tomato match.

Nigel Svensson vs Rave in a table match

Big opening match. Nigel should have a size advantage this match but Rave is the superior performer

Quick Picks

Nigel Svensson vs Rave in a table match

Leighton Buzzard vs Riddick Jordan

Daljit and Rodito vs Vicious and Neville

Michael Gregory vs Trance

Keith Adams vs Glen Ward in a ladder match for the WOLF championship

Nigel Svensson vs Rave in a table match - Doesn't suit him, but he's too awesome NOT to pick.

Leighton Buzzard vs Riddick Jordan - I quite like Buzzard, I think he's pushable. Jordan, not so much.

Daljit and Rodito vs Vicious and Neville - I'm just going to bet against Rodito every week, I think.

Michael Gregory vs Trance - Can't see this team going 0 for 2.

Keith Adams vs Glen Ward in a ladder match for the WOLF championship - You should probably build around Adams, but the money's in the chase, not the babyface title run.

Gregory looks the part until the bell rings.... a little harsh maybe but he clearly has to serve an apprenticeship. <strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Keith Adams defeats Glen Ward in a ladder match for the WOLF championship E</span></strong></p><p>

A disappointing title bout. Both wrestlers looked uncomfortable using the ladders, indeed at one point Ward went for a judo choke hold before realising his error. Adams pulled the win out with a spinning heel kick before clambering up the (barely used) ladder.</p><p> </p><p>

Quarterly review 1/2013

Emma and Rodito meet in the cafe zone of a well heeled gym in Birmingham.

"So how have we done?" asked the true owner of the company

"We made another $500 so we up to about $2500 after the first three months, and have gained 2.7 popularity in central england. Not bad at all" said Rodito with just a hint of smugness.

"Anything you can see being a problem this year?"

"Keith Adams and Rave having no chemistry means we could ideally do with a new high level heel sometime soon. Billy Robinson or Curtis Jenkins are available."

"We can't afford either of them yet kid. We'll review this in a few months. Meanwhile you have other things to worry about!"

Emma handed the kid a printed sheet.

"These are your goals for this year and the next. Shouldn't be too difficult"

Rodito perused them and let out a long whistle:" More popularity in the UK, no problem. No psychopaths, MMA crossovers and ex-cons to be hired, consider it done. But this last one...."

"To be at least the 41st biggest company in the world by the end of 2014? Well there are only 41 companies!"

"Yes, but any new companies start up we could be in trouble"

"Well, as they say, your problem kid!"

<p>cheers for that. I have been redoing the first few months to avoid losing ACPW and one other promotion from the game due to the sponsorship glitch and Glen Ward is proving to be a real locker room cancer this time. So just as well I have a little warchest <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

I did wonder how players in the RTG thread were reporting profits of $40k plus in the first year...</p>

<strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Glen Ward defeats Rodito Kid in a submission match E-</span></strong></p><p>

Another poor match involving Ward, but also with a controversial ending. Rodito produced a fine powerbomb to put Ward down but Ward kicked out leaving Rodito looking perplexed. Ward then produced a vicious looking wristlock which caused Rodito to tapout. Ward left the hold for several seconds longer than needed and judging from the way Rodito left the ring holding his wrist, he was not a happy bunny. Ward however had a sick smile on his face...</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Keith Adams vs Trance in a last man standing match for the WOLF championship D-</span></strong></p><p>

Another cracking match for a small company. Adams walks down to the ring sporting a bandage round his right knee and some taped up fingers, but he does not look too badly injured. The match builds up nicely and the Rodito kid takes up station ringside scanning for any sign of Rave. Sure enough Rave appears and a standoff develops.</p><p>

What Rodito failed to see was Ward emerging from the crowd and blindsiding him. Faced now with two opponents outside the ring Adams lost focus and Trance used brass knuckles on him when Woolsey had his back turned for a second.</p><p>

Hardly a fair fight but Trance doesn’t care, he is the new champ!</p><p> </p><p>

<p>Jaded and Jingo both score 2/3. Apologies for the late card change but i realised that i had already checked one tag team combo so switched Alton and Riddick around.</p><p> </p><p>

With the first match I played it as Ward disobeying instructions and taking his frustrations out on head booker Rodito. In four months Ward has caused a fight with Alton Vicious, a fan and stiffed a car rental firm. In my TEW 2010 game his angry man persona was a tremendous asset and narrative, but in this game he is a liability.</p><p> </p><p>

In a perverse way i am disappointed with the increased sponsorship money. I can see why it was needed with more extreme products but with WOLFs "very favourable" sponsorship the money is rolling in. I always thought part of the RTG challenge was financial discipline at the low levels <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

<em>Aurora introduces “Cowboy Joe” Curtis Jenkins E-</em></p><p>

Vivacious new manager Aurora introduces her client. Somewhat incongruously the former streetfighter appears to have discovered his western roots but the crowd seem to like both his gimmick and Aurora’s spoilt little rich girl.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i1244.photobucket.com/albums/gg567/Portlius/WOLF%20Roster/CurtisJenkins.jpg</span>beats<span>http://i1244.photobucket.com/albums/gg567/Portlius/WOLF%20Roster/LeightonBuzzard.jpg</span></p><p>

<strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Curtis Jenkins beats Leighton Buzzard E-</span></strong></p><p>

This was not quite a demolition but CJ showed he was a couple of levels above young Buzzard. Leighton mounted the odd effective move but the born again cowboy was almost toying with his opponent before the pinfall put Buzzard out of his misery. <span style="color:#FF0000;">A good start from CJ but he had bad chemistry with his manager Aurora.</span></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<em>Aurora signs the Party Animals E-</em></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i1244.photobucket.com/albums/gg567/Portlius/WOLF%20Roster/MichaelGregory.jpg</span>beats<span>http://i1244.photobucket.com/albums/gg567/Portlius/WOLF%20Roster/NevilleJones.jpg</span></p><p>

<strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Michael Gregory defeats Neville Jones E-</span></strong></p><p>

For the second month in a row Gregory finds positive chemistry, <span style="color:#00FF00;">he has great chemistry with Neville</span>. Still not a great match but this could spell a handy storyline for some of the lower ranked workers in the WOLF Roster.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<em>Emma Evans beats Aurora in a bikini contest D.</em></p><p>

All done in the best possible taste....</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Bali Daljit defeats Riddick Jordan F+</span></strong></p><p>

Of the jobbers on the roster only Daljit has failed to find positive chemistry. If this continues he might become the prison bitch of the WOLF roster.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<em>Emma Evans lays down the law D-</em></p><p>

Svensson and Rodito both seem to be learning charisma from these sessions</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Adams and Rodito defeats Rave and Vicious E-</span></strong></p><p>

Adams and Rave put on a clinic for their less experienced partners but a slightly disappointing effort. <span style="color:#00FF00;">Rave seems to appreciate having a manager</span>.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<em>Emma Evans fires out Rodito brand T shirts C-</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Trance beats Nigel Svensson to retain the WOLF championship D-</span></strong></p><p>

A good see saw match between the rising star Svensson and a champion who is dismissed by some as a mere tag specialist. Trance got the pin following the almost inevitable interference from Rave but the real winners are WOLF. This gives us a second matchup capable of producing D- main events. <span style="color:#00FF00;">Trance appreciates having a manager</span> but <span style="color:#FF0000;">Trance and Aurora have bad chemistry it would seem</span>.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Overall Rating: D- (40)</span></span></strong></p>

Occasional Z beats Jaded 3-2 this month. As always, monthly prediction winners may put forward matches or possible new signings if they wish. WOLF will be expanding their roster shortly, thanks to the shrewd acumen of the Rodito kid <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

WOLF End of May 2013 financial report

http://i1244.photobucket.com/albums/gg567/Portlius/WOLF%20Roster/WOLF.jpghttp://i1244.photobucket.com/albums/gg567/Portlius/WOLF%20Roster/EmmaEvans.jpghttp://i1244.photobucket.com/albums/gg567/Portlius/WOLF%20Roster/CVFP_MaskedMale_097.jpg

Rodito Kid and Emma Evans met in a quiet bar near Reading station. Rodito is beaming from ear to ear:

"Rodito's are so pleased we us they have given us a bonus, and they will up our sponsorship to nearly ten grand a month" the kid beamed

"What do they want for that extra cash?" Emma inquired

"I have offered them their own title.....the Sombrero Challenge!" the kid exclaimed "A yearly tournament title held in June. A sombrero is suspended above the ring and the first worker to put it on his or her head wins. While the worker is wearing it they get free Roditos and they can throw the sombrero into the ring for an instant title shot at any time"

"I like it" said the glamorous secretary, "so how will this affect our finances?"

"By my reckoning we have amassed £23,000 in cash and with an estimated ten grand in monthly sponsorship we can afford to increase our roster a bit. Glen Ward was able to hold us to ransom because we only had the bare minimum."

"So for starters i want to hire a face and a heel in early July. Kevin Welsh will be coming out of Turnbuckle Dojo and he will make a nice prospect face. Billy Robinson will probably become our number one heel, I want to offer him "Backbone of the company" status"

"Sounds reasonable. Anything else?"

"Another two managers. Our heels seem to feed off them but Aurora has already rubbed two up the wrong way"

"That covers personnel. What about business strategy?"

"It will cost us about $5,000 each time but running the occasional second event in a month. According to tew.com we are gaining 0.9 popularity in central england per event so at this rate we should hit small size in Spring 2014. Each extra event however cuts that time by a month"

"I would also like to switch our merchandising over to being internet based. We will be trading cash for popularity"

"Let me thing about these things. Good work Kid!" beamed Emma.

[Any monthly winners are welcome to offer suggestions]
