Let's start with the earliest episode I could find: September 28, 1991:

SEP 28TH 1991

* Show opens with a recap of the beating that Barry Windahm received at the hands of Lex Luger, Mr Huges, and Harley Race….. I miss me some Mr. Huges

* Larry and a blonde Tony are out in front of Soldier Field to play up the Chicago connection with this being shown on WGN. Tony brings up that Soldier Field has been sold out since 1983, and Larry says that Soldier Field is a stupid name because no soldier has ever played there. Larry apologizes for being cranky because he ate at Ditka’s and now he has a stomach ache.

* The first match of the night is “The All American” Ron Simmons vs. Mike Fever. A better name for Fever might actually be Mike Meth Head. After doing some research I found out that Fever passed away in 2009 at the age of 53, and now I feel bad for the crack about meth. Simmons wins at the 1:02 mark after a spine buster.

* Eric Bischoff interviews Simmons about his upcoming 2 out of 3 falls match against Lex Luger at Halloween Havoc. Simmons talks about being a role model for poor black youth, and how he is an example to all races that there is a way out of any situation they might find themselves in.

* “The Natural” Dustin Rhodes has a pretaped promo for a match against Steve Austin tomorrow night at the Pavillion in Chicago. Rhodes promises to beat Austin and become the new TV Champion.

* The Halloween Havoc Control Center is next with Gordon Solie. He runs down the card:

He goes over the rules of The Chamber Of Horrors match between Sting, El Egiante, and The Steiners vs. Oz, One Man Gang, The Diamond Studd, and Barry Windahm…..I thought Barry was a face, because of the beat down earlier?? So, basically, everyone tries to escape the Chamber before the time limit expires and if they do not the face the consequences of the Chamber. This has Wrestlecrap written all over it.

Gordon also goes over Flyin Brian vs. Richard Morton (Light Heavweight Championship Match), Cactus Jack vs. Bill Kazmier, and Lex Luger vs. Ron Simmons (2 out of 3 falls)

We also get a workout video from Luger

* We now go to Jack Brickhouse for the Brickhouse Bonus…WHO?!?!? He says that Dustin Rhodes is primed for big things.

* Featured Bout: “The Computerized Man Of The 1990’s” Terrence Taylor vs. Flyin’ Brian. This was my favorite Terry Taylor gimmick. Pillman is at a disadvantage because Alexandra York and Richard Morton are at ringside. Nice little gut wrench power bomb from Taylor, but only gets a two. Morton jumps up on the apron to yell at the ref, distracting Taylor and allowing for Pillman to roll up Taylor for the three count. Nice little 7 minute match.

* They run down The Top 10...Johnny B Badd, PN News, Cactus Jack, One Man Gang, Dustin Rhodes, Steve Austin, El Egigante, Barry Windahm, Ron Simmons, Sting, Lex Luger

* Bill Kazmayer talks about being the Worlds Strongest Man and having his ribs broken. He promises revenge against The Enforcers.

* Bill Kazmayer vs. Joe Cazzana. Larry Zbyszko call Kazmayer “Harry Henderson shaved” it made me chuckle. Bill wins after a minute with a body slam. Cactus Jack runs in a starts to work over Bill’s ribs. Sting makes the save.

* Tony and Larry go over an incident between Lex Luger and Z-Man, where Harley Race rants against the Zman for disrespecting Luger and demands an apology. Z-Man said that Luger turned his bak on his fans and friends. This brings out Luger, who gives Z-Man one more chance for an apology due to their friendship in the past. Luger attacks Zenk from behind.

* Eric Bischoff interviews Z-Man. He states he isn’t medically cleared to wrestle due to the attack but is now an appointed referee for WCW. He also promises to be a thorn in Luger’s side.

* “Beautiful” Bobby Eaton vs. Sgt. Buddy Lee Parker with The Z-Man as the referee is next. Zenk, who is in full ref gear, for some reason still has wrist tape on. Eaton wins with an Alabama Jam. Zenk did a good job as a ref.

* They run down the local card for tomorrow in Chicago. We get a pre tape from Luger/Race/Huges. Race said that Michael Jordan and Pippen have nothing on his two huge bulls and tomorrow night Ron Simmons and Barry Windahm will find that out first hand.

* Theodore R. Long presents Johnny B. Badd vs. Greg Sawyer. Badd does his patented pre match sparring with Long. Badd with a high knee followed by The Kiss That Don’t Miss for the win.

* They announce next weeks main event of Cactus Jack and One Man Gang vs. Flyin’ Brian and Bill Kazmayer. We get a pretty dull interview from Pillman and Kazmayer followed by an interview from Gang and Jack. Cactus Jack tells Pillman not to worrk about that lump in his throat, it’s not fear it’s his liver.

October 5th, 1991

* Larry Zbyzsko and Tony Schiavone are broadcasting from the corner of 83rd and Brandon. Why is this corner so important?? It was where Larry grew up. The beginning of Larry Land so to speak. He shows us the apartment where his great uncle used to sell moonshine out of during Prohibition.

* “Young Pistol” Tracy Smothers vs. Bob Cook opens up the wrestling portion of the show. I may be in the minority, but I always liked The Southern Boys or Young Pistols as a tag team. Nice chain wrestling, which shows why Bob Cook always had a job as a jobber. Horrible sweet chin music from Smothers that misses by a mile, but Cook sells like a million bucks. Smothers wins after a flying cross body from the top turnbuckle that looks more like a flying uppercut.

* Pre tape promo from Rick Steiner. Rick talks about how The Enforcers broke Bill Kazmayer’s ribs and that when his brother Scott gets healthy, they will beat The Enforcers and take the Tag Titles.

* COMING SOON: Van Hammer’s Music Video Premiere …. And the crowd goes mild

* Gordon Solie with the WNN is next to go over the mysterious big birthday present box that has been haunting Sting….Solie goes over that first it was Abdullah The Butcher in the box, then it was Cactus Jack, then Sting appeared from a box, then lastly a mysterious woman appeared out of the box.

Solie then focuses on Z-Man, calling him a man of imminent honesty. Z-Man then does a promo where he promises revenge against Lex Luger, Mr. Hughes, and Harley Race. He also says he will be the referee for Lex Luger vs. Ron Simmons at Halloween Havoc

* It’s time for The Brickhouse Bonus, Jack Brickhouse goes over how the fans petitioned to get Brian Pillman back in WCW after he lost a loser leaves WCW match.

* Big Josh vs. Zan Panzer is next. Hard to believe that Panzer is a second generation wrestler. Maybe it’s because he worked without a shirt, but Big Josh seemed bigger and more muscular than Doink The Clown. Big Josh wins with a running whoopee cushion.

* We then go to New Jersey where Paul E Dangerously and Missy Hyatt are trying to find out more info on The Chamber Of Horrors. Apparently it’s being built at a warehouse there, to which Paul E says “It makes sense that a Chamber Of Horrors is being built in New Jersey, it is a toxic waste dump.” They find nothing.

* Next up is a promo from Lex Luger, Harley Race, and Mr. Hughes. Luger said that Z-Man has been in a bit of a funk lately and he hopes he has good health insurance. He then turns his attention to Ron Simmons, who he says has one major flaw: his temper. It was Ron’s temper that made him sign a contract for a tag match pitting him and Barry Windham vs. Luger and Hughes just mere days before their match at Halloween Havoc. It will be Ron Simmons’ temper that will cause him to make crucial mistakes and that Luger will still be Champion after Halloween Havoc.

* “The Natural” Dustin Rhodes vs. Sonny Trout. Being from Tampa, I have actually seen a few Sonny Trout (Big Sonny T) matches, so I am looking forward to this. Dustin is only 22 at this point. Dustin wins with a bulldog at the 1:09 mark.

* Johnny B. Badd (with Theodore R. Long) vs. Ken Kendall. Badd debuts his confetti gun, and Larry says this is a family program and that doesn’t belong here. Badd wins with his left punch followed up with a Kiss That Don’t Miss. Eric Bischoff interviews Badd after his match. The basic gist of the interview was that Eric is a good announcer but Johnny is a bad man. Horrible. Just horrible.

* FEATURED BOUT: Flyin’ Brian and Bill Kazmayer vs. Cactus Jack and Abdullah The Butcher (subbing for The One Man Gang) I always smile when Abby is on my TV(or computer screen). I could tell when I was 9 that Bill Kazmayer was a horrible wrestler, and it was confirmed today. Abby begins to brawl with Pillman on the outside and begins to choke him viciously with the camera cables. Kazmayer makes the hot tag and lifts Abby up for a bear hug. Kazmayer connects with a crappy looking death valley driver on Cactus Jack, but Abdullah comes in and begins to beat Kazmayer down with a kendo stick for a DQ. Abdullah begins to work over Bill’s injured ribs with the stick, and the show ends…..well it goes back to Tony and Larry to end the show.

* Next week: for the TV Title: “Stunning” Steve Austin vs. Flyin’ Brian.

***Apparently this jackass on youtube didn’t record the October 12th episode, so no Pillman vs. Austin for the TV title for me***

October 19th, 1991

Larry and Tony are from City Golf, the most challenging mini-golf course in America. They mention that there is a mural of Michael Jordan in the background and Larry quips that he isn’t Isiah Thomas, so there isn't any need for Jordan to fear him in a game of golf. We then go to the ring

* “The Rapmaster” P.N. News vs. John Faulkner opens up the show. Yo baby yo baby yo!!! During the match we get some pre-recorded comments from Axl Rotten….Completely forgot that Rotten was in WCW…..Rotten states he is in WCW to destroy News…..News with a belly to belly suplex followed up with the News Splash from the top rope for the win. Then he raps “1, 2, 3 the only ones left standing are my posse and me!!” Wonderfully craptastic match and rap.

* We get the Top Ten: Terrence Taylor, Johnny B Badd, The Diamond Studd, Cactus Jack, El Egigante, Dustin Rhodes, Steve Austin, Barry Windahm, Ron Simmons, Sting, Lex Luger

* They run down the local house show at the Pavilion: Lex Luger vs. The Z Man (I guess he is no longer a ref??), The Steiner Brothers (I guess Scott is now back from injury) vs. The Enforcers, Barry Windahm vs. Abdullah The Butcher, Sting vs. Cactus Jack, and Ron Simmons vs. Mr Hughes.

We then get comments from The Steiner Brothers. Scott says he is back, and Rick says he likes physical punishment.

* We then get Gordon Solie in the WNN. He starts of with saying that Bill Kazmayer wants to become the Heavyweight Champion and to pound the point home that Bill is the strongest man in the world we get footage of Kazmayer bear hugging Abdullah from two weeks ago. Solie then goes over the card for Halloween Havoc:

Lex Luger vs. Ron Simmons best 2 out of 3 falls for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship

The Enforcers vs. The Patriots for the WCW Tag Team Championships

“Stunning” Steve Austin vs. Dustin Rhodes for the WCW TV Championship

Richard Morton vs. Flyin’ Brian for the WCW Light Heavyweight Championship

The Z Man vs. WCW’s mysterious Phantom

Sting, El Egigante, and The Steiners vs. Oz, The Diamond Studd, Barry Windahm, and Abdullah The Butcher in a Chamber Of Horros match

They show another Paul E and Missy Hyatt segment trying to find the Chamber Of Horrors….this time they are in a warehouse in Dallas, and Paul E hates Texas….Some guy jumps out with a knife and demands their money, Paul E quickly obliges and then the mugger recognizes them and begins to do some crappy impersonations of James Cagney and Jack Nicholson and Paul sneaks up behind the guy and knocks him out with his phone….no really, it happens…

* Barry Windahm and Dustin Rhodes vs. Zan Panzer and Mike Fever (RIP) is next. They still have yet to explain why Barry is a face but on the heel team at Havoc. This is apparently the first time Dustin and Barry have teamed together. Dustin and Barry connect with a double bulldog on Panzer for the win. Poor Mike Fever never got in the match.

* We then see highlights from a recent Enforcers vs. The Screaming Eagles match from Worldwide….The Eagles are a masked team from England that look familiar…hmmm…One has long blonde hair and the other has long curly brown hair, and both are wrestling in The Fabulous Freebirds gear….Screaming Eagle Jimmy Jam hit’s a DDT on Zybzsko but get nailed in the head with a tag belt from Arn Anderson allowing The Enforcers to get the win.

* The Enforcers vs. Jesse French and Scott Sandlin. French must have pissed in Arn and Larry’s cereal because they are being extremely stiff on the youngster. Anderson hit’s a gourd buster on French and continues the beat down with a spine buster. They refuse to let French tag his partner in. Larry ends the match with a simple armbar

* Eric Bischoff interviews The Enforcers. Eric asks about The Screaming Eagles. Larry say they know exactly who the Eagles are, but it’s ok because they will put that team where The American Bald Eagle is….the endangered list….And that the Birds picked the two best guys to make them scream. Arn says he understands the Freebirds motives but doesn’t understand how they went about it. Arn says he recognizes the Freebirds whiskey breath from a mile away and since they stuck their nose in The Enforcers business they are going to rip them off.

* The Brickhouse Bonus with Jack Brickhouse. Jack says that Bill Kazmayer is showing great heart and determination in the ring and that he is the most improved wrestler on the roster in the short time he has been apart of WCW…..yeah right

* “The Computerized Man Of The 1990’s” Terrence Taylor vs. Flyin’ Brian. This time Thomas Rich and Alexandra York are in Taylor’s corner instead of Richard Morton, in this rematch with Pillman from three weeks ago. Nice arm drags followed by a dropkick from Pillman which causes Taylor to retreat to the outside to consult with York’s computer. As much crap as Taylor seems to get, the guy is a top notch bumper. Taylor distracts the ref, and Rich nails Pillman with the computer. Taylor goes for the pin, but Big Josh runs in and breaks up the pin attempt and tells the ref what just happened….Of all people, Big Josh?!?! In the confusion Pillman rolls up Taylor for the win……Two Pillman-Taylor matches and two rollup pins because of a distraction….weird

* Paul E Dangerously is backstage attempting to get an interview. He goes to the York Foundation locker room, but the door gets slammed in his face. He goes to Luger’s locker room and the same thing happens, and finally he goes to The Z Man’s locker room and the same the happens.

*Featured Bout: Bill Kazmayer vs. Cactus Jack….Man, Pillam vs. Austin would be so much better than this. Cactus Jack gets Kazmayer to the outside and goes for his running flip dive from the apron and, surprise, Kazmayer doesn’t catch him. Jack gets Bill back on the inside and goes for a piledriver but Bill reverses it into an inverted bear hug. This brings Abdullah The Butcher and his kendo stick out. Abby begins to beat Kazmayer down, but Kazmayer won’t let go of Cactus Jack…..Some unders come out for the save, but Abby beats them down and continues to slam his kendo stick on Bill’s head, but he still won’t let go of Cactus Jack. Finally Kazmayer lets Jack loose and puts Abby into a bear hug. DQ win for Kazmayer.

* Mr Hughes vs. Jumping Joey Maggs. We get pre recorded comments from Lex Luger about his Halloween Havoc match against Ron Simmons before the match. Luger says he is the king of the hill and he will remain the champion after Halloween Havoc. Maggs sells a single Harley Race boot to the gut more than he does for all of Mr Hughes’ offense. A spike side slam from Hughes at the 3 minute mark for the win.

* The show ends with Larry giving Tony putting lessons.

*Next week’s featured bout: “Stunning” Steve Austin vs. “The Young Pistol” Tracy Smothers for the WCW TV Championship

October 26th, 1991

* The show opens up at Ed Debevic’s a famous short order diner. Nothing exciting or even slightly humorous happens between Tony and Larry. We go to the ring.

* US Heavyweight Champion Sting vs. Sgt. Buddy Lee Parker. Parker tries to sneak attack Sting, but Sting no sells the attack, dropkicks Parker to the outside. Sting follows it up with some brief action back inside the ring, hit’s the Stinger Splash and locks in the Scorpion Death Lock for the submission victory

* We get a rundown for the house show at The Pavilion:

Lex Luger vs. Z-Man

Sting vs. Cactus Jack

The Enforcers vs. The Steiner Brothers

Ron Simmons vs. Mr Hughes

Barry Windahm vs. Abdullah The Butcher

* Gordon Solie in the WNN is next. He tells us that Madusa has recently debuted in WCW and she has warned Missy Hyatt, Alexandra York, and Lady Blossom that she will become the first lady of WCW. To drive this point home, we see a recent match between “Stunning” Steve Austin and PN News. Lady Blossom gives Austin some brass knuckles, which he uses to beat News. Austin quickly gives Lady Blossom back the brass knuckles which she hides in her massive cleavage. Dustin Rhodes comes out and tries to tell the ref where they are, but is hesitant to reach in and grab them. This brings out Madusa who reaches in and pulls them out to the delight of the crowd, causing Austin to get DQ’ed.

Gordon then goes over the Halloween Havoc card, and informs us that Ron Simmons has asked Dusty Rhodes to be his manager for the night in his match to counter act the presence of Harley Race. We then get a workout video from Simmons at the campus of FSU. Bobby Bowden then gives an interview giving encouragement to Simmons. We then get a video of the champion Lex Luger working out as he prepares for the match.

* The Brickhouse Bonus. Jack Brickhouse goes over that tomorrow night Halloween Havoc occurs, and he predicts that Ron Simmons will become the new World Heavyweight Champion.

* Thomas Rich and Terrence Taylor w/ Alexandra York vs. Big Josh and Bobby Eaton is next. This is a weird pairing of Josh and Eaton. Tony keeps playing up the fact that Big Josh and Thomas Rich used to be hunting buddies. The York Foundation use Big Josh’s “inexperience” to keep double teaming Bobby Eaton. Bobby sunset flips over Rich, but Taylor clotheslines Eaton allowing Rich to roll through for the pin attempt, but the ref admonishes Taylor to get back in the ring. This allows Big Josh to run in and roll Eaton back on top for the win…..At least it didn’t end with a distraction leading to a rollup pin on Taylor…..

* The Top 10 is next: Terrence Taylor, Rick Steiner, Johnny B Badd, Bobby Eaton, Cactus Jack, Dustin Rhodes, Steve Austin, Barry Windahm, Ron Simmons, Sting, Lex Luger

* The music video premiere of Van Hammer. It was a blast,, let me tell you. Generic stock music and no lyrics and it looks like Paul E Dangerously is on drums, and footage of Van Hammer riding his motorcycle…..

* Women’s Match: Bambi vs. Lelani Kai. Not much to say here, except that Bambi wins with a bulldog. Madusa runs in after the match and attacks Bambi, which leads to a catfight between the two.

* Eric Bischoff interviews Madusa. Eric brings up that Madusa is a well traveled veteran and asks her what her agenda is. Madusa says she plans to become the first lady of WCW. Of Alexandra York, she calls her “The short pudgy one with the upturned nose.” Of Lady Blossom say says she is “the one you see at every street corner with a red light, if you know what I mean” and of Missy Hyatt she says she is “The wannabe cosmetic enhanced one” and before she is through she will kick all there ass.

* FEATURED BOUT: TV Championship: “Stunning” Steve Austin © w/ Lady Blossom vs. “Young Pistol” Tracy Smothers. Austin’s technical ability is often overlooked because he transformed himself into a brawler in WWF, but he definitely can go in the ring. After 5 minutes of back and forth action, Smothers goes up top for his flying elbow and goes for the pin, but Lady Blossom distracts the ref, and Austin connects with his Stun Gun for the win.

* We get a promo from Lex Luger and Harley Race. Harley said that Simmons has survived up to Halloween Havoc, but he will not survive Halloween Havoc. Luger says that Simmons has dreamed of becoming the first black heavyweight champion, but that’s all it is, a dream. Luger said it is his destiny to be consider the ultimate champion of the 90’s and Simmons is just a stepping stone to that goal.

* “The All American” Ron Simmons vs. “Pretty Boy” Doug Sommers. Wow, never knew that Sommers was an enhancement talent in WCW. I wonder if Eric Bischoff put in a good word for him?? Simmons wins quickly with a flying shoulder tackle

* Cactus Jack and Abdullah The Butcher vs. Two Jobbers. Gary Michael Cappetta never got a chance to introduce the jobbers because Jack and Abby ran in attacked the jobbers and totally destroyed them. Jack hit’s a double arm DDT on one while Abby hit’s a running elbow drop on the other one and we get a double pin for the win. They then beat down their opponents with Abby’s kendo stick. In a nice addition, Abby has added a shrunken head to one end of the stick.

* Next weeks featured bout: Arn Anderson vs. Barry Windahm….and I am thoroughly looking forward to this match. And of course, the fallout from Halloween Havoc

Here are the results of Halloween Havoc 1991, as told to me by wikipedia.....Nice to see the debut of Rick Rude.....Weird that they would switch Oz and Cactus Jack up in the card...

Halloween Havoc 1991 took place on October 27, 1991 from the UTC Arena in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

**El Gigante, Sting, and The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott) defeated Abdullah the Butcher, The Diamond Studd, Cactus Jack and Big Van Vader in a Chamber of Horrors match (12:33)

Sting's team won after Cactus Jack accidentally pulled the switch while Abdullah was in the electric chair.

Originally the match was supposed to feature El Gigante, Sting, and the Steiners against Oz, the Diamond Studd, the One Man Gang, and Barry Windham. Cactus replaced Oz, Vader replaced Windham, and Abdullah replaced Gang.

During the pre-show, Barry Windham was attacked by Arn Anderson and Larry Zbyszko and suffered a broken hand when they slammed his hand in a car door.

**Big Josh and PN News defeated The Creatures (Joey Maggs and Johnny Rich) (5:16) News pinned one of the Creatures.

**Bobby Eaton defeated Terrance Taylor (16:00) Eaton pinned Taylor.

**Johnny B. Badd defeated Jimmy Garvin (8:16) Badd pinned Garvin.

**WCW World Television Champion Steve Austin fought Dustin Rhodes to a time-limit draw (15:00) Austin retained the title.

**Bill Kazmaier defeated Oz (3:59) Kazmaier forced Oz to submit.

Oz replaced Cactus Jack.

**Van Hammer defeated Doug Somers (1:13) Hammer pinned Somers.

Somers replaced Michael Hayes.

**Brian Pillman defeated Richard Morton to become the first WCW Light Heavyweight Champion (12:45) Pillman pinned Morton.

This was the finals of a tournament to crown the first Light Heavyweight Champion.

**The WCW Halloween Phantom defeated Tom Zenk (1:27) The Phantom pinned Zenk.

The Phantom later revealed himself to be Rick Rude.

**The Enforcers (Arn Anderson and Larry Zbyszko) defeated The Patriots (Todd Champion and Firebreaker Chip) to retain the WCW World Tag Team Championship (9:51) Anderson pinned Chip.

The Patriots' WCW United States Tag Team Championship was not on the line, despite being the champions.

**Lex Luger (with Harley Race) defeated Ron Simmons (with Dusty Rhodes) in a two out of three falls match to retain the WCW World Heavyweight Championship (18:59)

Simmons pinned Luger (4:54)

Simmons was disqualifed for throwing Luger over the top rope (15:00)

Luger pinned Simmons after a piledriver (18:59)

Nov 2nd 1991

* Tony opens the show by himself and in the WCW Pro arena, apparently filming the opening and closing on location is out this week. He goes over that this week we will see the WCW Pro in-ring debut of Van Hammer, we will also see Rick Steiner in action, and of course Barry Windham vs. Arn Anderson

* “Stunning” Steve Austin w/ Lady Blossom vs. John Peterson. This is awesome on so many levels. I am actually pretty good friends with John Peterson, or as he is known now on the independent circuit “The American Nightmare” John Allen. Peterson (or Allen) is a true ring veteran, who is about to go on yet another tour of Puerto Rico as we speak. After a few minutes of action that sees Peterson actually get some offense in, Austin connects with a vertical suplex and go for the pin, but pick up Peterson at two because he wants to inflict more damage on his opponent. Austin connects with a side salto and again picks up Peterson at the two count, all the while taunting Dustin Rhodes to the camera. Finally, Austin connects with The Stun Gun for the win.

* They run down the house show at The Pavilion that is headlined by Lex Luger vs. Z-Man. We then get a pre-tape from Zenk. He says that Chicago is the perfect place to get revenge on Luger, in his hometown to show Luger’s friends and family what a creep he really is.

* The Patriots vs. Bob Cook and Chris Sullivan. Man, this episode has already featured three of the very best enhancement talents around in the 90’s. Nice vertical suplex-flying cross body combo from The Patriots on Chris Sullivan for the win.

* The Danger Zone with Paul E. is next. He is using the Sting action figure to illustrate that Sting likes to play with himself. He wonders what would happen if Sting were to face Scott Steiner in a match, and he brings out the Scott Steiner figure. He says that Scott likes to play with himself too, and the match would end in a hug off, and makes both figures kiss and hug each other. The real Sting comes in, and Paul E says that the Sting doll is a tough doll. Sting says that’s because he’s a tough wrestler.

* “The Dog Faced Gremlin” Rick Steiner vs. Mike Fever. Now, Scott was injured, but he wrestled at Halloween Havoc….But, Rick is now in singles action…..It makes me wonder how far back they taped these shows….And, on cue, Tony informs us that Scott didn’t want to re-injure himself coming off a grueling Chamber Of Horrors match. Rick no sells some Fever punches and hit’s a Steiner Line, then throws Fever to the outside. Once Fever gets back inside, Rick kicks him in the gut, and gets Fever in position for a Belly-To-Belly Suplex from the top rope for the win.

* The WNN With Gordon Solie is next. He talks about Scott Steiner returning from injury and hopes its not too soon. He warns Scott to please test his injured arm before he and Rick try to go after the World’s Tag Titles. Solie then goes over the return from the Far East of Big Van Vader. We get a video package of Vader destroying opponents in Japan to show how dominant he is. Solie then goes over the Z-Man-Lex Luger feud. We then see the footage of Luger/Hughes/Race attacking Zenk from a month ago. Then Solie goes over that Rick Steiner has defeated Luger in a non-title match and he is hot on Luger’s trail as well. And with Rick Steiner defeating Luger, it just proves that Luger can be beaten.

* The Top 10: Bill Kazmaier, Abdullah The Butcher, Cactus Jack, Z-Man, Rick Steiner, Dustin Rhodes, Barry Windham, Ron Simmons, Steve Austin, Sting, Lex Luger

* “Heavy Metal” Van Hammer vs. The Medic. Much like Bill Kazmaier and PN News, even when I was 9-10 years old, I could tell Van Hammer sucked.. But hey, Hammer had the longest WCW shelf life out of the three, so maybe I was wrong….Nope….He instantly botches a simple back body drop…..But, he is young, so I will give him some leeway, and blame it on his gimmick….I will give WCW credit for introducing many new faces during this time, and most of them very young, so they were trying to restock their roster. Hammer wins with a slingshot suplex that I know from memory that Austin would later incorporate into his matches.

* The Brickhouse Bonus: Jack Brickhouse goes over how Flyin’ Brian is the first ever Light-Heavyweight Champion on how now he has a long list of new challengers. He mentions the likes of Terrence Taylor (yeah, the guy he beat twice on Pro already), Thomas Rich, and Mike Graham

* FEATURED BOUT: Barry Windham vs. Arn Anderson. Barry Windham was always a great in ring performer, but what I think held him back was that he never seemed too concerned with his look. Maybe if he would’ve cycled more, he might have been the greatest of all time….And, by cycle, I don’t mean riding a bike. Within the first two minutes of this match, it is far and away, the best match I have seen while re-watching these shows. Just great chain wrestling, and I am only two minutes in. Sorry if I don’t recap move for move what it happening, but I am in awe of this masterpiece and watching two greats perform. Windham does seem to be working over Arn’s legs and knees in this match. It just clicked in my head that this was surely taped before Halloween Havoc, because they ran that angle with The Enforcers breaking Windham’s hand in the car door on the pre-show to Havoc, and Barry isn’t wearing any type of brace or anything. Windham attempts to lock in a Figure Four, but Arn breaks it up with a head butt. Arn goes up top, for what I do not know, but Windham slams him down and locks in the Figure Four. Arn eventually grabs the ropes and breaks up the submission. They both roll to the outside and Arn slams Barry’s shoulder into the ring post. Arn begins to work over Barry’s shoulder with the help of the ring post. They both get back inside the ring and Arn begins to work over Barry’s shoulder, using the ropes for leverage. Eventually, Windham gets control and Irish Whips Arn into the ropes and they both collide head first, causing the ref to go for a ten count. Barry gets to his feet first and he connects with a lariat, but Arn gets to the ropes to break up the count. Arn goes for a piledriver, but Barry flips him over. Arn catches Barry’s legs and rolls him through and with the help of the ropes gets the pin at the 17 minute mark. Ron Simmons runs down to the ring and explains to the ref how Arn grabbed the ropes. The ref restarts the match and Windham quickly rolls up Arn for the pin. Your winner is Barry Windham. What a great match.

*Tony Schiavone ends the show and informs us that next weeks featured bout will be: NON:TITLE: The Enforcers vs. Barry Windham and Ron Simmons

November 9th 1991

* Again, Tony is by himself opening the show from the WCW Pro Arena….Maybe filming on location got too costly for WCW….Tony goes over that today we will see Ron Simmons and Barry Windham vs. The Enforcers, Sting will be in action, as well as the WCW debut of The Arachnaman!!!!

* The US Heavyweight Champion Sting vs. “Pretty Boy” Doug Summers. Within two minutes of action Sting hits the Stinger Splash and locks in the Scorpion Death Lock for the win

* They go over the card for tonight’s show at The Pavilion, which will see Lex Luger vs. The Z-Man. Luger does a quick pre-tape where he promises victory over Zenk.

* Johnny B Badd w/ Teddy Long vs. Rick Hard Rock…..They bill Hard Rock from Tampa, but I have never heard of this douche….So, during this match Tony tells us that Windham/Simmons vs. The Enforcers is still on, but tonight’s house show match at The Pavilion between Barry Windham and Abdullah The Butcher is off because Windham got injured before Halloween Havoc….makes perfect sense……B. Badd connects with a Flying Elbow Drop from the top rope, but being the face that he is, breaks up his own pin attempt…..Badd connects with a high knee followed by a left punch for the win.

* Big Josh, Z-Man, Dustin Rhodes vs. Buddy Lee Parker, Joe Cazzana, Mark Kyle. Tony informs us that The York Foundation has recently defeated Josh/Z-Man/Rhodes to become the new WCW 6-Man Champions. Z-Man is super over in wherever they are. Tony informs us that Big Josh is primed to become a huge star in WCW. Dustin Rhodes connects with a Bulldog on Kyle for the win,

*Gordon Solie and the WNN is next. Solie goes over the recent events between Rick Steiner and WCW World Heavyweiight Champion Lex Luger…..Rick says he can beat Luger….Luger says that Rick Steiner should stay in the tag division…..Luger says he will teach Rick a lesson in humility, Rick asks what that means….Rick goes on to beat Luger…..We then get a promo with Harley Race and Lex Luger….Luger says he is big money, and he has cleared his calendar, and he wants Rick Steiner

* Arachnaman vs. Thomas Rich w/ Alexandra York . Upon research, it appears that Arachnaman is Brad Armstrong, one of the most underrated wrestlers of our time. Arachnaman looks just like Spiderman, except his colors are purple and yellow. Rich untapes his wrist tape and uses it to choke Armstrong, and Alexandra provides the distraction to allow the illegal move to continue. Arachnaman weaves Rich into his Labyrinth for the win….basically an inside cradle.

* The Brickhouse Bonus. Jack Brickhouse goes over how The York Foundation may be expanding. He says that Terrence Taylor was the first member…..Uh, Jack, even I know that the true first member was Michael Rotunda, until he jumped ship to WWF to become IRS….get your facts straight, buddy.

* FEATURED BOUT: NON-TITLE: The Enforcers vs. Barry Windham and Ron Simmons. Again, Tony is selling the attack The Enforcers laid out on Windham before Halloween Havoc, despite Windham having any visible signs of the attack during this match, which aired a full two weeks after Halloween Havoc. Tony says that Barry has an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon this week and will not be able to make it to The Pavilion tonight to face Abdullah The Butcher….despite being able to wrestle this morning against The Enforcers….makes perfect sense….Ron Simmons gets tagged in and Tony sells that Simmons-Luger had the best title match in history, anything better than what Ric Flair, Harley Race, or Jack Brisco has ever done….yeah, right…..After 15 minutes of back and forth action, all four men begin to brawl inside the ring. The ref starts to admonish Ron Simmons to get back to the outside as Windham has Larry Zbyszko up for a Superplex. Arn Anderson grabs one of the tag titles and nails Barry in the back, which causes Arn Anderson to get the pin on Windham,

* Tony ends the show and tells us that next weeks featured bout will be: A CAGE MATCH: THE YORK FOUNDATION VS DUSTIN RHODES, BIG JOSH, AND THE Z-MAN!!!!

Rick Hard Rock FTW!

Where are you getting these episodes from?

Keep this up Combatmedic, I love what you have done here. This is probably my favorite time period in WCW even though it was not very good. I do love WCW pre-Hogan.

Arachnaman was such a terrible gimmick, poor Brad Armstrong despite his talent he was never had a chance to really make it.

Thank you BHK, I hope you are having just as much fun reading these as I am re-watching these. WCW 1991 was one of my favorite times for the company as well.

Nov 16th 1991

* Tony opens the show in the arena and goes over that the featured bout will be a 6-man cage match between The York Foundation taking the team of Z-Man, Dustin Rhodes, and Big Josh. He also lets us know that Rick Steiner will be in singles action.

* El Egigante vs. “Pretty Boy” Doug Summers. If you have never seen El Egigante in the ring, imagine a younger, more athletic Great Khali, with less in ring skill. El Egigante connects with a double arm choke slam, that Tony tells us is illegal due to the choking. El Egigante wins with a claw that forces Summers shoulders to the mat for the three count.

* WCW This Week: Eric Bischoff interviews Rhodes, Zenk, and Big Josh about their upcoming cage match. Big Josh says he’s been in plenty of cages in his lifetime as a logger, and that they don’t scare him. Dustin Rhodes states that a few weeks ago The York Foundation didn’t beat them for the 6-Man titles, they stole them from the team and that with cage in play, the dastardly computer will not be a factor. Zenk basically repeats what Dustin said, saying that Alexandra York will not be able to interfere this time around.

* Cactus Jack vs. Scott Sandlin. Tony informs us that Cactus Jack has just started to feud with Van Hammer and that they will meet at The Clash Of Champions in 3 days, on WTBS. I guess Axl Rotten’s debut and subsequent feud with Van Hammer has been put on hold. Cactus Jack connects with a Double Arm DDT for the win.

* “Heavy Metal” Van Hammer vs. Greg Sawyer. Tony tells us that Van Hammer has been working on expanding his ring work, and on cue Hammer connects with a swinging neck breaker and side Russian leg sweep. Hammer connects with a slingshot suplex on Sawyer for the win. Cactus Jack makes his way out to ringside, and the two have a stare down before their big match.

* The WNN with Gordon Solie. Gordon goes over how Barry Windham has been wrestling with a damaged hand, due to the attack from The Enforcers, and that doctors have recommended that he take some time off to heal. Windham will be out for an indefinite amount of time. Solie then goes over the return to the wrestling world of “Ravishing” Rick Rude. We see his match at Halloween Havoc against Z-Man, when he was the masked WCW Phantom and subsequent promo where he unmasks. Interesting note, Paul E Dangerously and Madusa are with Rude during this promo, and it looks like the beginning of The Dangerous Alliance. Rude in the promo at Havoc, promises to defeat Sting and become the WCW US Heavyweight Champion.

* The Danger Zone with Paul E Dangerously. Paul is playing with the Lex Luger action figure. He says maybe he should put a whammy on Luger, and hit him with a clothesline. We see old footage of Stan Hansen giving Luger the lariat. Paul E says maybe he should just punch Luger. We see old footage of Stan Hansen punching Luger. Paul E says that maybe he should pin Luger 1-2-3. We see old footage of Luger putting Paul in a headlock and Paul screaming uncle. Paul finishes his segment by saying that he is sorry if he offended Luger, and he will take his whammy off of him.

* “The Dog Faced Gremlin” Rick Steiner vs. John Faulkner. Schiavone goes over how Rick cleanly pinned Luger a few weeks ago in a non-title match, and how Luger now wants to avenge that loss and has agreed to a title match with Steiner. Rick, for some strange reason begins elbow dropping the mat, like 6 times, all around the ring. Did I mention that Faulkner was standing in the corner looking confused?? Tony says it’s a psychological ploy by Steiner. Rick connects with a belly-to-belly suplex from the top rope for the win.

* The Brickhouse Bonus. Jack Brickhouse features Van Hammer, and how he is a rising star in WCW that has captivated the fans imagination. He said that with Hammer’s mobility for a guy who is 6’6, he predicts that Hammer will be a major champion in WCW in the near future.

*FEATURED BOUT: CAGE MATCH: The York Foundation/ Alexandra York vs. Dustin Rhodes, Z-man, and Big Josh. During the opening moments of the match, Tony goes over who the faces lost the 6-Man Tag Titles. Basically, Thomas Rich was going to use the computer, but Big Josh dropkicked the computer in Rich’s face. Big Josh, still caring for his former friend Rich, went over to see f he was ok, and Rich rolled him up for the victory. Pretty dull first five minutes of this match, with the one memorable spot being Taylor connecting with a splash from the top rope on Big Josh. Alexandra York is on the outside pestering the ring crew guy for the key to the cage. Tony tells us that this Tuesday is The Clash Of Champions and originally scheduled it was supposed to be The Enforcers taking on Dustin Rhodes and Barry Windham for the WCW Tag Titles, but with Windham needing surgery, Dustin has picked a mystery partner and the only way to find out who that will be is to tune into WTBS. Z-Man super kicks Taylor, but Rich breaks up the pin attempt. Z-Man sunset flips Morton, and has him pinned, but the ref is arguing with Taylor and Rich and doesn’t see it. Pandemonium breaks out and all six men are inside the ring. Taylor goes for a suplex on Big Josh, but Dustin dropkicks Taylor, allowing Big Josh to fall on Taylor and cover him for the win in this non-title match, After the match, The York Foundation gang up on Josh, send him headfirst into the cage, busting him open.

* Eric Bischoff is interviewing Mike Graham, and informs us that NEX WEEKS FEATURED BOUT WILL BE: FOR THE WCW LIGHTHEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP: FLYIN BRIAN © VS RICHARD MORTON. Graham informs us that the weight limit for this division is 230 lbs. And, when he entered calculations into a computer for the ideal Heavyweight Champion it came back with 239 lbs. So, only 9 pounds separates both divisions in his mind. Graham says that the differences between the two divisions is that the Light Heavyweight division is non-stop action from bell to bell
