TCW superstars Edd Stone and Freddy Huggins were arrested outside a gas station early Wednesday morning on public intoxication charges.

 

It was reported that police were called to the station after Stone had picked a fight with the gas station attendee who had refused service to both men due to his suspicion that both men were extremely intoxicated. Both men have since been released on a $120 bail bond.

 

Hours earlier, Edd Stone had won the TCW All Action Championship from Flying Jimmy Foxx on Total Action Wrestling in a highly competitive match. TCW have not yet issued a comment on these arrests.

Edd Stone Released

After a 5 year run with TCW it has been announced that Edd Stone was released from his contract due to his public intoxication and assault this past Wednesday. TCW have stated that the TCW All Action Championship would be vacated and a new champion would be determined at their next PPV "Malice in Wonderland".

 

Freddy Huggins, who was also arrested with Edd Stone, was let off with a warning as this was his first infraction with the law during his TCW run.

Edd Stone is set to return to Canada, however major promotions such as North of the Border Pro Wrestling, which was founded by Stone's father Dan Stone, and Canadian Global Combat have deconfirmed the rumors that Edd Stone would be joining them after his release from Total Championship Wrestling. Along with these major promotions, the regional promotion Canadian Charisma Championship Combat also seem to be uninterested in signing Edd Stone due to his behavior prior to signing with Total Championship Wrestling.

Edd Stone was reported to be at an All Canada Pro Wrestling event.

 

Formed in August 2009, All Canada Pro Wrestling are a small promotion who are hoping to emulate 4C's success in giving fans an alternative to the NOTBPW \ CGC powerhouse combination that dominates the Canadian wrestling scene.

 

ACPW's hook is that they focus entirely on smaller athletes, utilising a 230lb weight limit on their roster. As a result of this, the promotion almost entirely features fast-paced exciting matches with an emphasis on showcasing the work-rate and dedication of their wrestlers.

Last night Daedalus Buchinsky, owner of All Canada Pro Wrestling, announced that he was able to come up with a deal with Edd Stone to join the promotion.

 

Edd Stone commented that he had joined ACPW in order to show that the fast pace style in the promotion has the potential to match the more technical style shown by NOTBPW.

The show started off with the tag team championships on the line. This was The Gopher & The Ant's 3rd defence of the title. The match wasn't anything special but it was able to lift the crowd's spirit. The Gopher & The Ant ended up victorious after Ant-Man hit Jay Becker with the Antidote around the 12 minute mark for the pinfall.

A much better match than the first, and the crowd got into this one easily. It started off even with each one besting the other but after a missed missile dropkick by Sky King, Mimic took advantage and hit him with The Screwdriver to pick up the victory.

A solid in-ring bout for Kamikaze's 2nd defence of the title, but the crowd seemed more interested in the previous match than they did in this one. Kamikaze seemed to bring life back into the crowd after hitting a Reverse 460 Splash for the 1, 2 and even the 3!

This was a good bout as the crowd cheered for every move. Heather B did some great work at ringside, to the point where Dagger got distracted by her long enough for Jamie Atherton to capitalise and hit Dagger with a Lightning Bolt at the 14 minute mark.

The styles of these two didn't seem to click, however they were able to carry the match to the point where the crowd didn't seem to notice. Quibble was able to cement his 3rd defence of the Junior Heavyweight Championship as a victory after hitting the Quick Quibble Crash on Diablo.

Edd Stone came out in a spectacular fashion, his theme blasting in the background and streamers being thrown in the ring. Edd Stone chants were coming left and right as he entered the ring.

Rating: 56

 

This was the highlight of the night as the crowd were on their feet for a majority of this match. After a slow start the pace began to quicken as each one tried to outdo the other from the mat to the skies. Edd Stone's cockiness got to him as Jayson Van Pelt was able to hit a quick Axe Kick to seal the victory.

Winner: Jayson Van Pelt

Rating: 52

 

Jayson is celebrating as Stone is coming to. Stone is offered a hand from Van Pelt, which to the disgust of the fans is refused. The Stone Family outcast rolled out of the ring clutching his head, with a face of disgust.

ACPW's last show "Back By Demand" was a success in the eyes of the fans, however backstage it seems to be a financial disaster as around $8000 was lost. To counteract this, ACPW management has come to the terms of the releases of The Inner City Express, Jamie Atherton and Heather B, and finally long time road agent Art Lawson.

The person who will be replacing Art Lawson has been announced to be former CGC Colour Commentator, "Double R" Roger Rogers.
