Unfortunately I'm on my phone, I can see some words buried in there but it's too hard for me to transcribe on here. Can someone post the hidden messages and gather what we know so far?

I noticed this stuff as far back as the first training blog thingy, I figured the first one was some kind of error, but this got really cool.

Reason for editing: MUERTE gave me a chuckle!

To ensure we could utilize the entire day of the show to plan out the matches Jackson Jackson and I paid for all 5 of the quad share hotel rooms at a motel across the road, and also paid for flights and taxis from the airport for the interstaters and New Zealanders. The production crew arrived in the morning with a semi trailer full of gear to set up our stage. It wasn't quite as elaborate as RAW's setup, since we were only hiring, but we had a big screen on the right, a stage on the left for the band, and in the middle a square truss entranceway lit up like a christmas tree with lighting cans across both sides and the top. As Marv's only had a single huge spotlight in the centre of the roof, we'd also hired a pair of floodlights to sit on either side of the ramp to throw some extra light on the ring so it looked good on film. I snapped a picture of the set once it was all set up and turned on:

Next was the cage we'd picked up two days before the show. It was in a sorry state at the moment, just a pile of nuts, bolts, steel beams, (12 long vertical and 16 horizontal) and 8 rolls of fencing, pre cut with thin poles that slotted into the main frame then were bolted in. It was a pain in the ass to set up, but at least the whole cage could fit in the back seat of a car if needed.

We spent the majority of the day putting together and rehearsing important spots of the matches - the main event especially. All of us pitched in to construct the four walls, then left them on the floor next to the entrance way - all we'd have to do after tearing them down was hold an intermission mid show and just pick em up and lug them to the ring, then bolt em in place. Lanny and Harry had done cage matches before in APW's annual Caged Showdowns they hold in May, so I relied on Lanny to carry the majority of the match, and Harry to put it together. Obviously I won't spoil the finish here, but we made sure Maurice and Lanny were comfortable with the spots they had to do, the height of the cage, and any bumps they had to take. Once all four of us were happy with it, we unbolted the cage walls then lugged them back to the stage and worked our way down the card making sure everyone had their finishes solid/their spots planned with an emphasis on safety - if we made it through a show with so many gimmick matches without anyone getting hurt it'd be a damn miracle.

Once I was happy with the in-ring work in the afternoon, we made the ring a no-go zone till show time. Backstage promos were next, and the whole roster pitched in to help script Lanny and Artie's promos so there was nothing in there that sounded off. We'd worked out that we'd tape the promo's on the spot now and show them during the show as if they were live. It would be the easiest on everyone and made sure we didn't have to rely on a live feed. Speaking of live feeds, we had a monitor backstage so we could see the feed from the big screen, which was the best thing ever. I hated peering through the backstage curtain as you couldn't really see what was happening, so this was a nice change.

Nobody had really eaten all day outside of vending machine chocolate and potato chips, so we decided to foot the bill and get everyone an early dinner, which ended up being a combination of whoever would deliver - sub sandwich platters, pizzas and Asian food, while Marv (bless him) provided free drinks to anyone in a match tonight.

Around 5:30 PM we had the band arrive and set up, then soundcheck, which took forever, and also our special guest celebrity, who was on ring announcing duty for the main event - I gave him a brief rundown of his role in the show and palm cards with Mojax and Lanny's stats on em, and then did a dry run with him on the microphone. Wasn't amazing, but what can you do. The current plan was if the band ever finished setting up, they'd hit off the show with a couple songs, then they'd be done for the night - we'd draw a curtain over their side of the stage so they could pack up.

With ten minutes till the doors opened, we hit the lights and started playing videos on the big screen to hype the crowd up, then piled backstage and waited... this was going to be our first ever big show. Even though I hadn't booked myself on the show, after a year of people saying we'd never make it, it finally felt like we'd hit the big time.

Both men enter through the cage door, and as Jackson Jackson leaves with the PWZ title and locks the door behind him, leaving Lanny and Mojax alone in the cage, the crowd builds to a fever pitch.</span><br id=""><br id=""><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; color: #ffffff;">They tie up and Lanny takes Mojax down hard to the canvas with a switchback amateur lifting takedown. Lanny then swiftly picks Mojax up by the hair and rams him face first into the cage wall, grating his face back and forth over and over before back up and tossing Mojax over the top rope, sandwiching him between the ropes and the cagewall.<br id=""><br id="">With Mojax trapped and at his mercy, Lanny starts laying in stiff kicks to whatever part of the the body Mojax is unfortunate enough to leave open. Mojax finally manages to squeeze his body back between the ropes as Lanny lays in stomps.<br id=""><br id="">Mojax uses the ropes for leverage and manages to pull himself to a standing position in the corner. It's enough for him to be able to fight backwith a couple of shots, getting Lanny off of him long enough for Mojax to hit a <em id="">huge</em> spear mid ring. Slow to his feet, Mojax starts to scale the cage wall, barely getting to the top ropes before Lanny's back up to pull him down. Lanny tugs on Mojax's feet, dropping him throat first across the top rope, then lays in forearms to the back of Mojax's head, bashing his face into the cage by extension.<br id=""><br id="">It looks like Mojax has been opened up hardway just above his eye as Lanny drops him hard with a T-bone suplex mid ring, then starts to scale the cage. He almost gets a leg up to the top of the cage, using the elasticity of the top rope, but Mojax grabs his trailing leg, swinging it away from the wall in a swift jerk that sends Lanny crashing face first into the mat from eight feet up. <br id="">Mojax stalls, trying to decide where to climb or make sure Lanny stays down. He decides the latter and starts laying in boots. Lanny rolls under the bottom rope in an effort to get away only to realise he's inadvertently trapped himself. Mojax takes a running start and spears Lanny into the cage wall! Lanny dead-slumps sideways, selling like a ragdoll, and Mojax stumbles backwards. He's out cold too.<br id=""><br id="">There's a long double down where the crowd gets super hot, and both men slowly get to their feet at the same time and start trading punches and chops, lighting each other up. MoJax quickly goes for a rolling DDT but Lanny is readfor it and sweeps both the legs, locking in a figure four leglock! Mojax has nowhere to go, and there's no rope breaks. He struggles, screaming out in agony. Every second he's trapped his leg is taking more and more damage. Mojax somehow musters the fortitude to roll over onto his belly reversing the pressure of the hold onto Lanny. It takes Lanny a good 20 seconds of back and forthing to finally get his legs free. They split and we're left with another double down as neither men can stand, selling their legs.<br id=""><br id="">Lanny pounds the mat, and manages to pull himself up to his feet, noticably limping and favouring his left knee. The only way he's getting out of the cage is via the corner where he has greater balance and leverage since he has greater use of his arms in the corner, and manages to get to the top rope. Mojax is up too, but with much more damage done to his leg, he's slow to climb. Instead of going after Lanny, he ascends the parallel corner, and we have a race on out hands, much to the crowd's delight.<br id=""><br id="">Lanny manages to get his good leg up, but his injured leg is dead weight and he just cant quite get all the way to the top, gripping like a sloth. Mojax, on the reverse corner, is able to get his bad leg up first, using his good leg to push himself up onto the top of the cage, mounting it.<br id="">Lanny finally manges to mount the cage as well, and we have both competitors straddling the same wall of the cage, 12 feet apart. They both look down to ringside, a 15 foot drop, down to the canvas which is 11-12, and then back to each other. They both decide to scoot closer together, inching their way across the wall to meet in the middle.<br id=""><br id="">It's on like Donkey Kong up top as MoJax and Lanny trade punches in seated positions on the top of the cage, swaying back and forth with the impact of each shot and trying to maintain their balance. Lanny has the genius idea of laying in mini kicks to Mojax's bad leg. It seems to be working, with Mojax in obvious pain, nearly losing his balance, but the clincher comes when Lanny leans forward, lying down to grab Mojax's legin an effort to unbalance him further. This proves to be Lanny's undoing, however, when Mojax locks in a front facelock on Lanny, who essentially presented his head on a silver platter.<br id=""><br id="">In what has to be one of the most amazing core strength displays I have ever seen, Mojax lifts  Lanny up by his head off of the cage wall in a modified rolling DDT, then dumps him down to the canvas in a huge sick bump. Alone at the top, Mojax gingerly edges his way down the outside of the cage, collapsing on the ringside floor as he drops down and the bell rings.<br id=""><br id="">Absolutely fantastic match. It was hurt a little bit by the (figurative) lack of freedom in a cage match and some awkward pauses in the action, but the drama was simply top notch.<br id=""><br id=""></span></div></div> </div></div></div><div style="padding:0 5px;overflow:hidden;"><div id=""><div style="height: 18px; cursor: n-resize;"></div><div style="clear: both; position: relative; padding: 5px; margin: 5px 0px; height: auto; border: 1px solid transparent;"> <div style="font-size: 16px; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; display: block;"><div id=""><span style="font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; color: #ffffff;">Fantastic event overall, I give it a C-. Not as good as some of PWZ's other efforts during the year in the ring, but the atmosphere tonight was second to none. It felt like a international touring show with a small attendance... the massive set, the band, celebrity - not at all like an indy show. They really spared no expense here. Bring on Season 2!</span></div></div> </div></div></div><div style="padding:0 5px;overflow:hidden;"><div id=""><div style="height: 18px; cursor: n-resize;"></div></div></div></div></div>

So there you have it, the conclusion of PWZ Season 1. I tried something a little different for this show, writing it in Crayon's FictionPlus like a number of other diaries on the boards here, but I don't think I'll use it again. It looks amazing, but it's pretty clunky and there's no way to save your work, I lost parts of the show multiple times due to bugs. Sorry for the typos too, I realise they're everywhere, but I was petrified to go back and edit anything in case I lost it all. :/

I'll be taking a short break before Season 2 starts, and I'd like some input from all of you guys.

There's a few major changes I'm considering that if I go ahead with them I'll go more in depth with when I resume writing again:

I'm considering doing a weekly internet show similar to current-era NXT or WCW Saturday Night, where unknown/new stars try to make a name for themselves in the undercard, with the main event being a marquee match between two established workers, a vet/rookie match, or a tag match with vet/rookie vs. vet/rookie. Obviously this all revolves around my sponsorship income and ticket sales, but I'm considering running it out of my own venue (the PWZ dojo) to keep costs down. These weekly shows would build to a monthly major event similar to Season 1. The reason I'd do this is because I want Season 2 to be all about making my own stars from the ground up - I've had great success with The Strong Bads, who have gone from F- to D overness in 6 matches - and work for ~$100 a night, compared to $1,500 people of similar overness want. I figure more shows would give me more opportunities to build their talent and get them over - I know personally when I was working once or twice a week I definitely got better a lot faster than when I was working once a month or less.

I have also considered sticking with my current format, hiring the best workers I possibly can, and keep trying to put on monthly shows in the C+/B- range, the only issue being my growth would be slower and it would be hard to train up new workers. While I'd be making a ton of money, a lot of my skilled talent are nearing their forties (Boo, Harry, Pinn... Lanny's 41!) and I want to pass some of their knowledge down, otherwise I'm kinda screwed.

What do you guys think?

Either way, in regard to building stars: I intend on bringing 8 new cheap rookie workers in for a midcard division and a title, maybe picking two of them to build the division around by the end of the year. I had initially thought of calling it the Journey or Quest, but they're both taken in the C-Verse - if you have any ideas for said division, let me know. I also intend on hiring 4 managers for said division. Also, if there's any specific workers/gimmicks you'd like to see, please let me know as well. :D

Speaking of divisions, I want to start up a proper tag division and a heavyweight division as well. It'll be a bloated roster early on, roughly 30 including managers, but I'll likely make cuts as the season wears on.

Outside of this, I feel I've been neglecting PWZ's Lucha influences for a more traditional product, but I'd really like to correct that in S2. I want more things like luchas apuestas (hair vs. mask etc.) a solidified ruleset for matches with lucha tag rules, 2/3 falls for title matches and time limits for every match. Speaking of Lucha influences, I'd like to book more tournaments through the year, including a trios or tag cup, and an Australian Cup tournament where the winner gets to challenge for any title they want.

So please, give me as much feedback as possible! I'll do a end of S1 recap tomorrow, sort out the prediction tally etc. then introduce S2 next week.

EDIT: Should I start a new thread for Season 2 so new readers aren't too overwhelmed?

Do the internet show, it seems a good concept.

Have you opened a dojo? Because if you have then that may help that idea.

Also could you possibly post PWZ's product?

Thank you for a great dynasty! :D

Thanks.

Yes - haven't bought a venue yet though.

No problem. :)

In my most humble opinion, Artemis Eyre-Rochester's current look just didn't match the elegance of his personality. I do hope that this offering will suit. :)

MOON -PUSH STARTS NOW...

But, i agree, Internet show sounds great. And I'd love to see more lucha influence. I'm not sure you need managers, necessarily, but I suppose having more talking heads and people to provide ringside distractions and such is a benefit from a writing standpoint.

I've found two interesting things about TEW13 as opposed to 10. Odds are you've figured them out too:

a) The standard contract is 3 years, not 9 months. You touched on this, but it definitely means that building up a rookie is well worth it, whereas in '10 you ended up having to pay the guy soon enough anyway.

b) Downside agreements being what they are, there's now no reason not to run enough shows to use everyone at least once a month.

Do what you like -- you've got a reader either way -- but I would recommend keeping the same thread.

Thanks, and me too. The managers will be there to cushion the losses of people with no personality. Also, since most of the cheap managers in Australia are female, that opens up a whole mess of storylines on top of what you said already :)

A) Exactly. If I can get someone from F- to D+ in a year, then as long as RAW don't steal them I save $1000-1400 an appearance, which is huge. Heck, by the time season 4 rolls around, I'll likely have a roster of 30 workers all working for 100-200 a show. :) When the top tier all need to re-sign, I can either let them go and sign new workers, or just job them out. :p

B) Yep. I'll be using the cheaper guys more often of course, though.

<p>Belton...</p><p>

My apologies, I forgot to predict. Clearly I'd have gone 100%. Just retro grade that and give me all the accolades.</p><p>

That final spot in the cage match was sick. Top of the cage rolling DDT? No thanks. That's why I'd never be more than a manager. Was that a sick bump Lanny took? Or just creative license? (I hope it was creative license - I hate the thought of any wrestler (even pretend ones) taking such risks for 200 fans.)</p><p> </p><p>

Pip Pip n' Cheerio to <strong>Michigan Hero</strong> for that perfect rendition of the erudite young lordling A E-R.</p><p> </p><p>

Regarding next year's programming - I don't know what you think about this but...</p><p>

I like the concept of an RoOzkie? Ozookie? Hmmm... needs work. I like the concept of an Aussie NXT but how about they compete for spots on the PWZ roster with the caveat being that they spend the first half / two-thirds of the Season working for that spot and then the top (2) graduate to the main roster and become PWZ members. Then they have a handful of shows to impress the PWZ brass and fans and hopefully be brought back for the next Season. (Maybe the top two are guaranteed PWZ spots - the rest have to hope their character caught on with the fans (or the guy writing things)).</p><p> </p><p>

That wasn't smooth but I hope it made sense.</p><p> </p><p>

Regarding Lucha - which I know little about - make that a sub-program. Have a season of Aussie NXTLucha! Or a 'Lucha division' a very loose set of requirements, Lightweight (or less) or Masked. Something that would permit the fans to know 'oh hey... Lucha time!' Maybe every opening match is Lucha? I don't know, I'm just throwing out ideas here. Let the Luchadores have their time and their spot, those like Halloween Knight or X-Cal can easily be Uber-Dores. Luchadores able to play with the main roster.</p><p> </p><p>

I think I likely gave too much feedback, but that's what I thought.</p><p>

I loved Season 1, and look forward to Season 2 and all it brings.</p>

<p>I would tend to agree that you might want to look more into doing a lucha division if you want to keep the lucha influences in the product without changing the show too much overall from the product you are showing in your writeups. It was something I considered doing in my BBOA diary, but I ended up deciding more on a 'Young Lions' style title in the Australian Youth Championship. While I had a few good choices from high fliers I had much more choices when it came to young, cheap talent that I wanted to dabble with.</p><p> </p><p>

I would also just keep things on one thread. It isn't too hard to slog through things and it also means not having to look for the first season thread once it gets pushed back a few pages due to not being used.</p>

</span></p><p>

<span>http://i.imgur.com/BYk7c2u.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

I opened up a training school - the PWZ Dojo - at the end of October when we hit small, which cost us our first months profits. 15,000 special set + catering + accomodation + travel + band + celebrity were also spent on our anniversary show. It totally wasn't worth it.</p><p> </p><p>

I'll be creating a venue (also the PWZ Dojo, i figure if we can train in there we can hold shows in there, pretty typical indy wrestling practice and makes sense from a cost standpoint... you cant tell me a building that holds 300 people only costs 7200 to buy, but modifying a 25,000 dojo into one makes sense! <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />) so I can hold my weekly shows for free, since venue costs will add up.</p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:24px;">Roster Breakdown:</span></p><p><span style="font-size:24px;">

</span></p><p>

<strong>Main Eventers:</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Harry Simonson: </strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><span>http://i.imgur.com/UiNA8.jpg</span></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p>

Our third best worker and #3 face in the company, Simonson has had a bit of a rough year, but had a great feud with Artie to cap this season off. He's the highest paid man in the company, but is too good to cut, and since he's aging he'll probably be best served as a transitional face, helping solidify up and coming heels as main event contenders (which we need).</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Maurice Jackson: </strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><span>http://i.imgur.com/B2SA4.jpg</span></p><p><strong>

</strong></p></div><p></p><p>

Our #1 Face and current champ, not much more to say. Average worker and frankly a bit of a douche backstage (and in the ring) but he's happy at the top and has had the best match in PWZ history - one which will be hard to beat. He's our second best entertainer on the roster and can't cut a bad promo, while being reasonably cheap.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Lanny Williams: </strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><span>http://i.imgur.com/iykuy.jpg</span></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p>

Has turned a bit of a corner in the second half of this year, and is now PWZ's #1 Heel. He's the oldest worker on the roster at 41 (though Jackson Jackson is 60) and is our second best worker overall behind Boo, but also our most consistent, with the best average match grade out of the entire roster. He's too old to be poached by RAW which means he's safe with us. He's also our second most expensive worker but definitely worth it. I can see a big feud brewing between him and his protege Nicky over the next year.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Nicky Gilbert: </strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><span>http://i.imgur.com/im5Vd.jpg</span></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p>

While not as big a success story as TSB, Nicky Gilbert has become a sleeper contender for top face in the company. He's an above average worker (I didn't know this before, cause of fog of war) and will be very important to PWZ in the next year as a cheap, super over face that everyone loves.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>

Upper Midcarders:</strong></p></div><p></p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>

Barney Mason: </strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><span>http://i.imgur.com/WoW7p.jpg</span></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p>

Oh boy is this a success story or what? 0 overness to 55 in the space of 7 months and a record of 7-0, Mason has just skyrocketed to the top of PWZ out of nowhere. I brought him in the month he debuted as a throwaway partner for Dastardly who really wasn't going anywhere and was a jobber, and through booking them to be dirty, kinda undeserving heels with huge SQ and charisma and against skilled opponents they're at the top of the company - they're actually the 3rd and 4th most over workers on the roster behind Nicky and Mojax in my region, but the other two are over in more parts of Australia so get put to the main event push instead.</p><p> </p><p>

Not a great wrestler, but has a good look, hopefully his in ring skills catch up with his overness - but at $90 a show I don't really care what he does when he's this popular.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>

Boo Smithson: </strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><span>http://i.imgur.com/n5SvY.jpg</span></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p>

Still super over thanks to his A* rated gimmick and the fact he's probably the best worker in the country and paired with Nicky Gilbert, Boo has a bright future ahead of him and literally cant have a bad match, He's still very bland, but if he sticks around with someone like Nicky, or gets a manager, the sky is the limit for him.</p><p> </p><p>

He is getting on in years though, so he might become a transition worker soon.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Damian Dastardly:</strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><span>http://i.imgur.com/4rJrC.jpg</span></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p>

Like I said above, who would have thought 7 matches ago that Damian would be in danger of being poached by RAW? The better worker of the two (but still super green and still only a 1 year pro) and the more entertaining, if he can develop a little more over the next season he's a candidate for PWZ Champion.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>

Halloween Knight: </strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><span>http://i.imgur.com/DPHdI.jpg</span></p><p><strong>

</strong></p></div><p></p><p>

After a massive start to the year, Knight has fallen off the radar a little bit. He's still a fantastic worker, and did pull off two B- (72/77) matches this year with MoJax (who's not super talented) with only Good chemistry (one more point and that 77 would have been a B... in a local fed, good God) but the end of this year hasn't really left him with anyone to face, as his style (super junior) doesn't really fit with the PWZ product, which puts a soft cap on his overness/push.</p><p> </p><p>

He's still very very cheap for how good he is, cheaper than Hatemonger(!) and about 3 million times more talented, so I'm definitely keeping him around. He may have another run at the top depending on what happens, but he seems so much better as a gateway upper mid carder, who can easily get his heat back with an amazing promom and the fact that his average match is a C.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Midcarders:</strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Artemis Eyre-Rochester: </strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><span>http://i.imgur.com/OuTW7.jpg</span></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p>

Despite his horrible, horrible record this year - 3-16 (he had extra matches when I loaned him out to ZEN and APW) he's managed to not lose any overness. He's also a solid, capable worker who's very good on the microphone. He really needs a push, but the only way I see that happening is if it's in the tag division and if I can hire his former partner, Thurston Darcy from RAW, as his singles matches have only been good if they're against Harry Simonson, and they have great chemistry together.</p><p> </p><p>

Definitely needs to spend more time on the microphone in the next year and get some wins under his belt, he's unfortunately been a little stuck as a LMC/MC Heel for most of the year which hasn't given him any opportunity to progess. </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Dumfrey Pinn: </strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><span>http://i.imgur.com/BZjwx.jpg</span></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p>

Pinn is in a really weird place right now. Nothing has really gone right for him this year. He's very expensive, but has the best mic skills in the company, and is in our top four workers performance wise. He probably deserves a run at the top, but he has a tendency to perform worse than I expect him to when I need him to. He can carry most workers to a good match, but struggles when he's the one doing the carrying, despite his phenomenal psychology. Maybe it's a low destiny roll or just bad luck, but unless he can get over in Season 2, he's either getting cut or used as a gateway for midcarders to get to the main event scene.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>HalloWarped: </strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><span>http://i.imgur.com/80k8R.jpg</span></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p>

Still a rookie heel that isn't really going anywhere right now. He is sloooowly getting over though and for some reason has had massive momentum all year - I can't figure out why. If he can develop a little more and get some big wins, he could go places. He's also quite a cheap worker, so I plan on having him stick around. </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Warmonger: </strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><span>http://i.imgur.com/mKto9.jpg</span></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p>

Able to get great angles out of him, but he just can't get over no matter what I try. Very solid worker though and he's able to carry even The Strong Bads and Hate to a good match, and has been instrumental in their rise to stardom. He's still stuck in the midcard, and would probably benefit from staying in the tag division and helping new stars get over. I'm considering turning The Apocalypse heel just because him beating everyone up would make more sense.</p><p> </p><p>

He's still quite expensive though...</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>X-Calibre: </strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><span>http://i.imgur.com/hvlMu.jpg</span></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p>

Still has a huge upside and a high destiny roll. He had the misfortune of being a midcard face under a whole batch of Upper Midcard heels, and ended the year with a dismal record for 2-8, with those two wins being in a trios match where he didn't even get a pinfall, and over Jordan James, which is nothing to write home about. He's paid his dues, and he's one to watch next season, he puts on great matches with the right opponents. His mask still bugs me. A lot. Pricy, but experienced and I think he'll make himself worth it very quickly.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>The Rest:</strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Jordan James (Low Midcarder, Inactive):</strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><span>http://i.imgur.com/uvcWu.jpg</span></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p>

My user character got a stinger in a normal match which scared me. Since our roster is expanding and I have plenty of income now I don't really see a need to use me anymore, and I'd like to stay uninjured in case I need me later on for whatever reason. (Maybe as a Colour Commentator or something, who knows.)</p><p> </p><p>

Also, I ended up basically being a jobber anyway, and there's no fun in that.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>

Azazel (Low Midcarder): </strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><span>http://i.imgur.com/vXL04.jpg</span></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p>

Not really sure what to do with Azazel. He's pretty average, but has shown that he's capable of putting on D rated matches with the right opponents, so there's a little bit of an upside there. He's also a good influence backstage. I'll see how he develps during the year.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>

Blue Flea (Low Midcarder): </strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><span>http://i.imgur.com/rCUQw.jpg</span></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p>

Well, who would have thought that Blue Flea was someone I'd actually care about? 7 months ago in my midseason report I called him a jobber whipping boy who was good for nothing and his pot habit made his matches terrible to boot. Since I caught him out with drug testing (as soon as I could afford it) and kicked the habit he's really growing on me. His personailty changed and he's now a very good influence backstage and Loyal to me for getting him to quit. He's still terrible in the ring, has zero charisma and is allergic to overness, but he's still cheap and his matches aren't penalised anymore. With the right opponent he could potentially pull matches in the low Cs - he managed a D+ vs. Knight when he was still using.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>

Hatemonger (Low Midcarder): </strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><span>http://i.imgur.com/FOtCO.jpg</span></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p>

Again, I'm still not quite sure what to do with Hate as he's permanently in his partners shadow. I can either split them up, which would most likely result in Hate being let go as he's pretty expensive, honestly, or they can float around the tag division doing what they do now (though at least they'll have a lot of new matches there with the influx of new talent).</p><p> </p><p>

Don't get me wrong, he's probably one of the better workers on the roster, but lacks that something special and has a tendency to turn matches to complete shit if he has an off night (like the E rated match he had with me... come on).</p><p> </p><p>

Honestly he'd be one of the first workers I'd cut, as he's pretty bad value.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Sean 'Major' Damij/La Muerte Negra (Low Midcarder):</strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><span>http://i.imgur.com/3f1y3jv.jpg</span></p><p><strong>

</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

While a regen with decent performance skills and not much else; his hot debut angle (he was the mystery luchador that attacked X and Warmonger after their match) got him over quickly, and he has a ready-made feud with The Apocalypse for the next season. Working with Warmonger in angles and X-Calibre in the ring should help him develop quickly while steadily building overness. I was hoping his debut would have made more of an impact on you guys - this is something I've been planning for a while and there's a lot of depth to the character plus some scary stuff if you dig around in the diary. Since y'all didn't, I debuted him early <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Matt Stoppard (Punching Bag): </strong></p><p><strong>

</strong><span>http://i.imgur.com/tXtYu.jpg</span></p><p><strong>

</strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p>

As much as I like Matt, he really doesnt have anything going for him at this stage in his career (and has a 0-8 record), and struggles to even get E rated matches. I will confirm here that I will bring in Marcus Kerr, his long time tag partner, and the Australian Party People, The Australian People's Party, will be a part of PWZ's tag division in Season 2.</p><p> </p><p>

Unfortunately, neither of them are quite good at anything - but I have the perfect manager in mind who might be able to help 'em out.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><p><span style="font-size:24px;">

Backstage:</span></p><p>

<span>http://i.imgur.com/jqYhujq.jpg</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Getting there. Hopefully with my new signings I can push the rating over 71% to give my matches a small boost. I got Mitch Y. Bryson in on loan from APW to try him out as a commentator at Zeroversary, but he showed up late. I fatherly approached the issue (I mean, look, he's just late, what's the big deal) and he chewed me out. He never appeared on the show and I fired him right after.</p><p> </p><p>

When that goes away, and when Flea's drug testing reaction drops off I can maybe nab that extra 7% without having to pay for catering.</p><p> </p><p>

Drinking is allowed backstage, smoking and drugs are still banned.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:24px;">Overness:</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

PWZ has risen to 14.2% popularity in Eastern Australia. I achieved my aim of hitting small via the double header shows, and my aim for season 2 is to get to regional and on TV through weekly dojo shows (which might turn a profit) and internet popuarity - some have said it's financial suicide rushing to TV, but I have a ludicrous amount of sponsor money coming in at the moment, and if I play my cards right this season I'll have a bunch of $100 workers who are over and ok in the ring.</p><p> </p><p>

I've won 2 regional battles and came 2nd in a third - I'm now hostile with APW and DIW. Oops. My prestige jumped to 21.4% and my momentum is 42.8% so things are looking good for my tiny company.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:24px;">Plans for the future:</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

I said a lot of this in my previous posts, but I want this year to be all about building stars and a heavier focus on Lucha Libre and fun. I love the idea of turning 8 nobodies into somebodies, especially seeing The Strong Bads in the last 7 months - imagine what I can do over the course of a year running weeklies. It also gives me some opportunities to bring in some faces that aren't used often in the Aussie scene as they are a bit too small for the big four, and it makes them a bit of a blank canvas that I can tell my own stories with.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Most importantly - I want to make everyone on these boards care about the Australian C-Verse!</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

Also, please... get any last minute suggestions or ideas in to me before I start putting this season together, you have less 48 hours! <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

I haven't forgotten the predictions, I'll tally them up tomorrow - It's 3AM and I want to sleep!</p>

<p>One hell of an anniversary show! Congratulations on that one, though it wasn't as good rated as some of your previous shows have been. Loved the debut of La Muerte Negra and I hope you'll build him up nicely as a monstrous, scary and mysterious guy.</p><p> </p><p>

I absolutely love the idea of a weeky dojo show! Even more PWZ shows, that's exactly what we want (: and I'd love you to take Vortex under contract, 'cause I like his look and think one can get great storylines out of him just because of that. Plus, he's very young and could develop well (hopefully).</p><p> </p><p>

Just please don't open a new thread for season 2. You could include a table of contents to your first post, but I don't think that's absolutely neccessary. I'm looking forward to the next season and CAN'T WAIT to read through more awesome PWZ shows =)</p>

Clearly I'd have gone 100%. Just retro grade that and give me all the accolades.</p><p> That final spot in the cage match was sick. Top of the cage rolling DDT? No thanks. That's why I'd never be more than a manager. Was that a sick bump Lanny took? Or just creative license? (I hope it was creative license - I hate the thought of any wrestler (even pretend ones) taking such risks for 200 fans.)</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Maurice's rolling DDT is essentially a lifting, turning DDT where the opponent lands flat (a la Edge's Edgecution) - at least that's what it is in my head, and that's what we called a rolling DDT here. It wouldn't have been too crazy a spot and I wouldn't classify it as a sick bump, Lanny simply would have rolled sideways off of a seated position on the cage wall and landed on his back - not a fun bump by any means, but it'd be no worse than a superplex height wise. If it was to the ringside floor, on the other hand... </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="35176" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Pip Pip n' Cheerio to <strong>Michigan Hero</strong> for that perfect rendition of the erudite young lordling A E-R.<p> </p></div></blockquote><p> Oh god yes.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="35176" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Regarding next year's programming - I don't know what you think about this but...<p> I like the concept of an RoOzkie? Ozookie? Hmmm... (Maybe the top two are guaranteed PWZ spots - the rest have to hope their character caught on with the fans (or the guy writing things)).</p><p> </p><p> That wasn't smooth but I hope it made sense.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> That's essentially the plan, I just never liked the game show aspect as it's always awkward in kayfabe - it's hard to decide who wins... is it based on crowd reaction, their win/loss record, the promotions discretion?</p><p> </p><p> When I said NXT, I meant their present day product, which is essentially a developmental company (FCW, now 'NXT Wrestling) TV show featuring WWE main roster stars. In this case, it's an internet show run out of our dojo (where they'd been training in kayfabe) featuring higher up PWZ workers. They'd still be competing for those top two spots but instead they'd be under contract, and the top two would be the midcard champion and the number one contender. There could always be a stipulation that the title holder could vacate the belt and move up to the 'main roster' - either the tag division or the heavyweight division, and challenge for those titles.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="35176" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Regarding Lucha - which I know little about - make that a sub-program. Luchadores able to play with the main roster.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Hmm, it's a good idea - I really like the Lucha division concept. That might be something I consider for S3, or later in the year. When I brought this up, I meant more that PWZ's actual product has <em>Key</em> Lucha Libre - I wanted to justify that a bit more, not by having everyone don masks or be flippy (remember, rudos (lucha heels) tend to not be aerial workers or wear masks as a general rule. Someone like Barney Mason, of all people, is a better stereotypical lucha heel than someone like HalloWarped) </p><p> </p><p> What I meant was that I've been a bit all over the shop with match rules - matches in Mexico nearly always: have a time limit, 20 counts on the outside, are 2/3 falls, and there are no hand-to-hand tags made, if you leave the ring, your partner is the legal man. There's also special rules for trios matches as well.</p><p> </p><p> I mean, we already have Luchadores everywhere, I just wanted to bring a bit of that structure and flavour in, as it gives me a bit more freedom in writing matches - (time limit draws, no hot tags, etc.)</p><p> </p><p> And tournaments are always cool - there's lots of those in lucha libre. It's not so much a change to the product or the shows, but more of a structural thing, mainly for writing/booking purposes. I could just as well say "The PWZ rules are:" and do a big ol' list, but just saying "Lucha everything" is easier <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="35176" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>I think I likely gave too much feedback, but that's what I thought.<p> I loved Season 1, and look forward to Season 2 and all it brings.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I think I gave your feedback too much feedback. It wouldn't change the product much at all, just minor rules changes, a couple yearly tournaments, and maybe a mask vs. hair match or two (and let's face it, they happen the world over) <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> And making bald/unmasked alts is fun as hell. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="35176" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>It was something I considered doing in my BBOA diary, but I ended up deciding more on a 'Young Lions' style title in the Australian Youth Championship. I forgot my fanbase don't like hardcore matches, which hurt the trios match. As far as the others go, well, it was just unlucky. Harry and Artie should have been better considering their chemistry and storyline heat, wasn't a good night for either of them... Mojax vs Lanny should have been at least a C+. I can't stress how bad a worker Barney Mason is though, he has an F in psychology and an E+ for brawling - for him to be in a C- match is just... miraculous.</p><p> </p><p> La Muerte Negra is my attempt at making a rookie monster heel who has no menace. Some tidbits: the mask apparently has an ancient Mayan curse on it - and the core element of his character is corruption, as seen in the corrupted text of Sean's posts and he himself being corrupted and turning from happy rookie into total monster. That being said, 'corruption' can mean many things, as you'll find out by the end of S2. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="35176" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>I absolutely love the idea of a weeky dojo show!
