Women's Extreme Fighting Federation

Recommended Posts

With the sudden rise in popularity surrounding women's MMA, I've decided to give WEFF it's own rise to fame using the default data and Jingo's The Challenge rules.

Haley Croft © vs. Samantha Sachs//WEFF Heavyweight Championship

http://i45.tinypic.com/119b30j.gif

Samantha Sachs (6-0) defeated. Haley Croft © (5-1) to win the WEFF Heavyweight Championship in a controversial split decision. The two female gladiators stuck to what they knew, Croft fending off Sachs' takedown attempts with dozens of angled kicks whilst Sachs worked for the inside clinch. Unfortunately, the two clashing styles lead to a disappointing stalemate. Final minute of the final round, Croft landed a whopping high kick. Fighting for her life, Sachs managed to clinch up and explode with a gorgeous judo throw seconds before the bell. The fans, the fighters, the judges; nobody knew how the explosive last minute'd be judged. Expecting a draw, Sachs was awarded the victory to the welcome of many boos.

Erica Page vs. Karen Curtis//Women's Lightweight Division

Karen Curtis (6-0) defeated. Erica Page (7-3) via third round TKO. A fight between two top-ranked bantamweights failed to disappoint, the two standing and banging for the majority of the first two rounds. Rocking one another, Page dug down into her arsenal of instinctive wrestling and slammed Curtis into her guard. Mounting the Canadian, she finished her off with strikes.

Jocelyn Hescott vs. Emma Birch//Women's Heavyweight Division

Emma Birch (4-0) defeated. Jocelyn Hescott (3-2) via third round TKO after taking absolutely no damage. Taking her opponent down in the early goings, Birch blasted Hescott with relentless ground n' pound until she simply gave in. A great performance and perhaps title shot worthy.

Diana Marr vs. Lynda Epsom//Women's Heavyweight Division

Diana Marr (4-0) defeated. Lynda Epsom (4-1) via unanimous decision in what fans are calling an incredible comeback moment to spark the year coming. Marr was dropped by the dominant wrestler in the early goings, taking multiple shots that any other referee would've surely called. Digging deep, Marr sweeped her way back to her feet, avoiding all oncoming storms and outpointed Epsom with her infamous Taekwondo blitzes.

Maggie Martin vs. Lisa Labone//Women's Lightweight Division

Lisa Labone (4-0) defeated. Maggie Martin (4-2) via unanimous decision. Lisa sprawled the fellow wrestler down to the ground on her first attempt, dominating the first round in side control like a house on fire. Labone played the remainder of the fight safe, holding Martin against the fence whilst scoring numbers with itty-pitty strikes.

Alisha Wood vs. Chelsea Lawson//Women's Heavyweight Division

Alisha Wood (4-0) defeated. Chelsea Lawson (1-1) via second round TKO. Wood stormed Lawson fast, blasting her with two explosive takedowns before a final slam followed up by some monstrous strikes from the mount.

Tabitha Cameron vs. Tammy Westenra//Women's Lightweight Division

Tabitha Cameron (2-0) defeated. Tammy Westenra (4-3) via unanimous decision in impressive fashion. Failing three takedown attempts in the first round, Westenra ran herself into absolute exhaustion. After dealing with her weak wrestling, Cameron began to pick Tammy apart on the feet with crisp boxing and leg kicks, rocking her a few times before the final bell.

Women's Extreme Fighting Federation 5: Addams vs. Wareing

WEFF owner and match-maker has announced the main event fight headlining
Women's Extreme Fighting Federation 5.
Considered the world's best by many, considered a muay thai killing machine by some; MMA icon
Michelle Addams
(7-0) will be returning for her second title defense Her challenger? None other than the possessor of some of the fastest strikes in the game today. The prized student of traditional Kung Fu,
Roz Wareing
(5-1) has talked her way into what-some-may-say a premature title shot after a short string of quick finishes. "She's all hype", Wareing spoke. "She's tough but there's nothing to her technique. I'll knock her out in the first round" she added. The bout'll take place on the 15th of March and will be contested for the
Lightweight Championship.

Women's Extreme Fighting Federation 5: Addams vs. Wareing

Blurcat reporters caught up with Roz Wareing earlier this week, just mere days after being tagged the next challenge to Addam's Lightweight Championship. She chose her words wisely, respecting the reigning champion whilst throwing some hefty threats her way.

"I totally respect her. I mean, she's the champ for a reason"
Wareing told us.

"But in no shape of form does that give her an edge. She's got my strap, my spotlight, my seven fight winning streak and i'm going to take it from her. I'm not going to be a clown like the other seven, there's no headhunting or rushing for a knockout in my gameplan. I'm going to pick her apart, exploit her technique, totally rid her of any chance of victory. The belt's mine and there's no way she can stop my ever-growing skillset. Not a chance"
Wareing was quick to add.

As tension builds, press surrounding Addams remains thin. Addams fans can hope for another hazardous knockout from the queen of violence.

In other news, fan favorite brawler Lula Baker (7-3) has signed on to take on the Texan kickboxer Vanessa Phillips (3-1). One can expect a stand-up war between two of the Featherweight divisions' best.

Michelle Addams © vs. Roz Wareing//WEFF Lightweight Championship

http://i48.tinypic.com/snce1l.gif

Michelle Addams (8-0) defeated. Roz Wareing (5-2) via unanimous decision in a gritty, exhausting five round bout. A far more intimate, personal title match than the last, the two locked up in what fans may call the coldest staredown in WEFF history. No touch of the gloves, alot of talking. The two commenced with a bang, Wareing eventually slipping before falling victim to the Addams Muay Thai swarm. Though rocked and heavily cut, Wareing stormed into the second round confidence high. Still taking heavy, heavy shots, Wareing began to push the pace via the clinch. The two gladiators fought an entirety of two rounds on the fence, both women teeing off on eachother nonstop. Wareing's ability to control the cage whilst taking monstrous knees to the chin never failed to impress. Addams' total strike count and early domination earnt her the unanimous decision.

Lula Baker vs. Vanessa Phillips//Heavyweight Division

Lula Baker (8-3) defeated. Vanessa Phillips (3-2) via split decision. The fight was bland. Baker controlled the fight due to her underrated top control game but Phillips constantly remained the attacker. Dominant top control and a sharp jab earnt her the win.

http://i46.tinypic.com/1ifsr4.gifhttp://i45.tinypic.com/50pglz.gif

Kelly Andrews vs. Alyson Arroway//Heavyweight Division

Alyson Arroway (3-0) defeated. Kelly Andrews (1-1) via unanimous decision. Alyson put on an absolute masterful performance, showcasing her stinging jabs and crazy footwork. After putting Andrews down three times and failing to finish her off on the ground, Arroway won a well fought decision.

http://i50.tinypic.com/dnbn0z.gifhttp://i48.tinypic.com/6fmkqb.gif

Beckie Dexter vs. Hope Lehane//Heavyweight Division

Beckie Dexter (2-0) defeated. Hope Lehane (3-1) via unanimous decision. Dexter tooled Lehane on the feet, throwing wild spinning back kicks, fists and flying knees until the final bell, defending all takedowns and avoiding the clinch with ease.

http://i47.tinypic.com/11uyvzp.gifhttp://i46.tinypic.com/27y2tua.gif

Rhonda Britton vs. Katherine Williams//Lightweight Division

Rhonda Britton (5-1) defeated. Katherine Williams (3-1) via unanimous decision. Britton kept Williams at bay, ripping into her body with lightning hooks and attacking the legs for the majority of the fight.

http://i49.tinypic.com/2dtx0yo.gifhttp://i50.tinypic.com/5of8jq.gif

Tara O'Brien vs. Jenny DeNeuve//Lightweight Division

Jenny DeNeuve (3-0) defeated. Tara O'Brien (4-1) via split decision. The obvious snoozefest of the night, O'Brien held DeNeuve fence-side for the entirety of the first round. Coming out stronger in the second round, DeNeuve was able to weaken Tara's lead leg. Avoiding the clinch and weakened takedowns, DeNeuve won the fight via mass of strikes.

http://i50.tinypic.com/2e0lh60.gifhttp://i49.tinypic.com/29pvjgg.gif

Jenny Gill vs. Sandy Oliver//Heavyweight Division

Jenny Gill (3-0) defeated. Sandy Oliver (3-1) via unanimous decision in what was a bloody mess of a war. Despite Oliver's lack of experience in the stand-up, she kept the pace fast and the intensity sharp. Finally finding her rhythm on the feet, she was stopped by a snap jab to the nose. She bled like a stuffed pig, the nose obviously shattered. Relying on her instincts (being one of the best submission artists in her division and all), Oliver fought desperately for a takedown but to no avail - Gill's sprawls were top-notch. Finishing the third round off with a rocking high kick, Gill won the fight coated in her opponent's blood.

BLURCAT Weekly Recap

http://i49.tinypic.com/sd2nmq.gif

- In a grueling, unexpected five round battle, Addams retained her WEFF Lightweight Championship. She spoke to us directly after the fight.

"Yeah, I totally just tried to block the media out this time through so I had more time to work on my techniques. She came at me hard, man. I've got bruises in places I had no idea could bruise up. Big props to her and hopefully she can work her way back up to the top"

Rumour has it that WEFF owner and match-maker Leon Shannon is trying to put together a fight between Michelle Addams and Karen Curtis (6-0) for the strap, obviously the two most popular fighters in the promotion right now.

http://i49.tinypic.com/30w9o8z.gif

- Soon after her impressive win over Katherine Williams, Rhonda Britton was popped for anabolic steroid use in a first for the company. The fight has been ruled a no-contest, Rhonda Britton's record standing at 4-1-1 and Williams' (3-0-1). The athletic commision has suspended Britton for twelve months.

http://i45.tinypic.com/4looox.gif

- Coming off of her spectacular decision over Kelly Andrews, we were joined by Alyson Arroway talking the sport, the fans and the title.

"Things are just rising to that next level"
Alyson spoke.
"The fans are getting educated, the bookers are putting on the best fights possible, it's truly great"

We then moved onto the subject of Samantha Sachs and the Heavyweight title.

"Man, I hope they don't reward Croft a rematch. I love Sachs but Croft won that fight for sure. That being said, I'd say i'm pretty close for a title shot myself. One big win should propel me into the mix. I've got a few nagging injuries but I should be back before you know it"

http://i45.tinypic.com/2ypbre0.gif

- WEFF 5: Addams vs. Wareing went down as expected. Good fights, an overgrowing fan base and revenue. What was not expected was the broken nose Sandy Oliver suffered at the hands of Jenny Gill. She will be sidelined for five months.
