popyura
http://s7.postimage.org/9w46miy23/8_Bit_Fight_Club.jpg 8 Bit Fight Club CEO & Chief Matchmaker: Limecat Rule Set: Unified Rules of MMA Diary Start Date: January 2014 Summary: The 8 Bit FC is a national promotion that focuses on the lighter weight classes (Feather through Welter) that splits their cards between PPV and a regular show on ESPN. Not content to be just a thorn in the side of the UFC, the 8 Bit FC is focused on becoming the preeminent MMA organization for lighter weight fighters by offering them the type of mass market exposure that the UFC can’t match while focusing on every weight class and a roster that easily sits at over 500 fighters. This more focused approach has already yielded some of the UFC’s top prospects. Champions: Featherweight Chad Mendes (16-1) Current 8 Bit FC Featherweight Champion has dominated the weight class since signing with 8BFC. After winning the title by Unanimous Decision against Hacran Dias, Mendes has successfully defended his belt twice against Chan Sung Jung (by TKO) and Clay Guida (by UD) in November of 2013. He is currently in negotiations to fight Marlon Sandro. Lightweight Mac Danzig (24-9) As a well-respected fighter in modern MMA, Mac Danzig managed to surprise fans by winning the title in dramatic fashion against heavily favored Michael Chandler by submission in April, 2013. Since his upset victory, Danzig has gone on to defend his belt twice, earning submission victories each time, against Khabib Nurmagomedov and “Ill” Will Brooks to show fans that his reign is no fluke. Next up for Mac Danzig is the always affable and always dangerous Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone. Welterweight Rory MacDonald (19-1) The talent and championship potential of Rory MacDonald has been a topic of discussion among hardcore MMA fans for some time, and after moving to 8BFC from the UFC, he has wasted no time in fulfilling what he believes to be his destiny. After winning the title in a back and forth affair against Demian Maia by KO, MacDonald has made one successful defense against hard hitting Dan Hardy. Rumors are that he will fight either Carlos Condit or Ben Askren for his next defense.
