FCW Champion in hot water with management?

Reports are showing that FCW Champion Billy Russell may have gotten himself in some hot water with the company management.

The atmosphere surrounding Russell has been tense ever since he accepted a touring contract with Japanese promotion PGHW a few weeks ago without notifying his current employers. This caused FCW to reschedule some of their shows, so that they would still be able to showcase their champion.

But according to our sources the situation got out of hand at FCW’s last show “FREEDOM of the City”, when Russell pulled a mean-spirited prank on road agent Rico Santana. Apparently Russell received a stern warning for his misbehaviour and has been irritated ever since.

The fact that the champion was not involved in the show up until the very last segment, may be an indication that management was far from happy with his actions.

We had already picked up rumours about Russell refusing to extend his contract with FCW, stating that he had ‘outgrown the company’. But in combination with the new facts that just came up, it looks like Russell’s days as a champion (and perhaps FCW employee as a whole?) are numbered.

We’ll report with additional details as soon as we find out more.

The latest wrestling news brought to you by TEWWrestlingObserver.net

I almost fell off my chair when I read the latest lead story on TEWWrestlingObserver…

While it’s true that Russell had an altercation with Rico Santana before our last show (he poured some showering gel into Rico’s gym bag), that was far from the reason why he was only involved in the final segment where he saved PR Power from a beat down.

I did give him a stern warning for his “prank” though, as Russell was becoming a bit of an annoyance backstage and I wanted to make it clear that these things are not appreciated in FCW. But in no way will this affect the way I plan to book him in the future.

It’s true however that he refused to sign a new contract. But in all honesty, it was just a feeler contract that I threw out there since Russell still has a lot of months left on his current deal. And I was kind of hoping we would be able to grow to the level where he would sign an extension, by the time the contract expires…

Damn, this update pissed me off big time… I just hope this won’t affect our backstage morale too much!!

As I browsed a bit further on the website, I did see some news that cheered me up when I checked the results of PSW’s latest show “It’s over”

Little Bill Lebowski defeated Titan

Hehe, our lent big bad Titan defeated by Little Bill… couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy!

FCW FREEDOM of Speech

Card

Kirk Jameson vs. Jesus Chavez

http://i1356.photobucket.com/albums/q740/flaviooooo/Small/KirkJameson_zps07c2b980.jpg VS. http://i1356.photobucket.com/albums/q740/flaviooooo/Small/JesusChavez_zps2423f9ed.jpg

While their “partners” battle for the People’s Championship at FREEDOM of Speech, Kirk Jameson and Jesus Chavez will have a match of their own.

Both were involved in the post-match brawl last month and will be eager to set the tone for the night with a win.

Matt Hocking vs. Rob Reynolds

http://i1356.photobucket.com/albums/q740/flaviooooo/Small/MattHocking_zps72e190e2.jpg VS. http://i1356.photobucket.com/albums/q740/flaviooooo/Small/RobReynolds_zps94a39da6.jpg

Two young superstars looking for recognition will go head to head when Matt Hocking meets Rob Reynolds.

Neither of them has been able to impress much this year, although Hocking did have a good showing in last month’s tag team bout.

Who will be able to pick up the win here and gain some momentum?

Hell’s Bouncer & Titan vs. Bradford Peverell & Mainstream Hernandez

http://i1356.photobucket.com/albums/q740/flaviooooo/Small/HellsBouncer_zps81902988.jpg http://i1356.photobucket.com/albums/q740/flaviooooo/Small/Titan_zps0df8ea3d.jpg VS. http://i1356.photobucket.com/albums/q740/flaviooooo/Small/BradfordPeverell_zps0ac39041.jpg http://i1356.photobucket.com/albums/q740/flaviooooo/Small/MainstreamHernandez_zpseb91b6d3.jpg

Ever since being eliminated at the number one contender-battle royal at FREEDOM of the City, Titan has been making Mainstream Hernandez’ life miserable.

Last month he distracted the young superstar in his match with Hell’s Bouncer, causing him to be Damnation Dropped.

Hell’s Bouncer’s “traditional” after-match beat down was thwarted by the interfering Bradford Peverell though, who was able to chase the big man away.

At FREEDOM of Speech all four protagonists will meet in a tag team-battle that is sure to rock the ring.

Carlos Gonzalez vs. Ernest Youngman

http://i1356.photobucket.com/albums/q740/flaviooooo/Small/CarlosGonzalez_zps53dc0c0e.jpg VS. http://i1356.photobucket.com/albums/q740/flaviooooo/Small/ErnestYoungman_zpsaf497e6f.jpg

Carlos Gonzalez has been on a roll these last few months and will be eager to extend his streak with a win over the cocky Ernest Youngman.

His opponent however will be looking to make an impact by scoring the upset here.

Rudy Velasquez © vs. The Sensational Singh vs. Hector Galindo

FCW People’s Championship match

http://i1356.photobucket.com/albums/q740/flaviooooo/Small/RudyVelasquez_zps3388ea70.jpg VS http://i1356.photobucket.com/albums/q740/flaviooooo/Small/KashmirSingh_alt1_zps4b751654.jpg VS http://i1356.photobucket.com/albums/q740/flaviooooo/Small/HectorGalindo_zpse3f91900.jpg

Never trust a Latino King… Just when everyone expected to see Rudy Velasquez defend his title again number one contender The Sensational Singh, he had another ace up his sleeve. Somehow he was able to convert the match into a three way-battle… with his buddy Hector Galindo by his side.

Will Singh be able to contend with the two Latino Kings, or will Velasquez prevail once again?

Billy Russell © vs. Grandmaster Phunk

FCW Puerto Rican Title match

http://i1356.photobucket.com/albums/q740/flaviooooo/Small/BillyRussell_zps1049215f.jpg VS. http://i1356.photobucket.com/albums/q740/flaviooooo/Small/GrandmasterPhunk_zpsa9aa2795.jpg

After a very dubious win over Puerto Rican Power last month, the self-proclaimed big league star earned the right to face Puerto Rican Champion Billy Russell.

Will the champ have what it takes to hold off not only the Grandmaster Phunk, but no doubt his associate Handsome Stranger as well?

Leper Messiah announcement

http://i1356.photobucket.com/albums/q740/flaviooooo/Small/LeperMessiah_zps7b95b720.jpg

The last few months Leper Messiah has had some disturbing promos, mentioning a dark soul that he needed to complete his puzzle.

He promised to “show us all” at FREEDOM of Speech, so we should get some more details about his plans.

Whether we like it or not…

Oops he did it again...

Me
– “So… it happened again?”

We were sitting in Puerto Rican Power’s office. On one side it was the big boss himself alongside me. On the other side it was…

As you may or may not remember, Chavez cracked one of the smelliest farts in the history of professional wrestling in the locker room two months ago. I tried to sweep the incident under the mat because it was so… well, ridiculous. But apparently he struck again a few hours before FREEDOM of Speech, and his fellow wrestlers (except the Latino Kings off course) were not amused by his lack of respect. And quite frankly, neither was I…

Jesus Chavez
[Chuckling slightly]
“Sorry ese, I don’t have control over my bowels after I eat at El Taco Picante.”

While I could sympathize for that statement (I at at El Taco Picante once and couldn’t leave my bathroom for 2 hours after I got home…), the way he said it was a sign that he still wasn’t taking this seriously.

Me
– “Well, perhaps you should eat there the day before a show then, ‘ese’!”

PR Power
[Trying to lighten the mood a bit, but not succeeding]
“A ban on El Taco Picante before the show!”

Neither Chavez nor myself was smiling at Power’s comment, instead we were staring each other down in silence for a minute or so. I broke the awkwardness.

Me
– “You really need to learn some respect for your colleagues, Chavez. Get back to the locker room and don’t let this happen again, ok?”

Jesus Chavez
[Getting up from his seat]
“Whatever man…”

As Chavez left the office, Puerto Rican Power and me shared a look. While I still thought it was a silly subject to talk about, I think we handled it right. Respect is something that’s needed in a locker room and… hold on just a minute...

Me
– “God damnit, did he just fart in your office?!?”

NOTE: This should be the last update before the show results are posted, so if you want: get your predictions and comments in here!

[some mellow Caribbean music fills the arena only to be interrupted by a loud, banging pyro. Heavy guitars take over the tune and the FREEDOM of Speech logo is being shown on the big screen while the crowd starts cheering.]

Lee Bambino:
Welcome to FREEDOM of Speech everybody. My name is Lee Bambino and sitting alongside me is Cueball Lynch.

Cueball Lynch:
And what a night it’s going to be. We’ll finally see someone peel the Puerto Rican Championship from the undeserving waist of that punk, Billy Russell. Funky!

Lee Bambino:
I’m not so sure that we should be dismissing out champion that easily Cueball, he’s beaten the best of them. And what about that three way match for the People’s Championship… I’m still convinced that Rudy Velasquez screwed The Sensational Singh out of his title shot…

Cueball Lynch:
Singh is screwed all right… I didn’t see him win against Velasquez one-on-one, but against two Latino Kings? No way José, hahaha!

Lee Bambino:
Let’s go over to ringside, where the action is about to get started!

• It’s a bit strange seeing Jesus Chavez out there, without his Latino Kings to accompany him. They are off course getting ready for the title match.

• The bigger man Chavez takes control early on, punishing Jameson with some clubbing blows to the back and taking him down with a few big body slams. He then sets his focus to the crowd, shouting some insults to them.

• Jameson can take advantage of Chavez’ lack of concentration and cuts him down by clipping his knee from behind. He then locks in a nasty looking knee bar, stretching his leg in an awkward fashion.

• It takes some time before Chavez can break free from the hold, and he is limping afterwards. He does take control again shortly after that though, hitting a heavy clothesline.

• As the match goes on, Chavez keeps getting cockier. He looks in sound control of the match, despite his hurt knee. Jameson gets slammed with several power moves and seems to be in trouble a few times, but escapes every pin fall attempt Chavez makes.

• When Chavez goes to pick Jameson up from the ground, “The Marksman” looks to score with a quick roll up but Chavez escapes at two. The frustrated Latino King tries to hit Jameson with a clothesline, but he ducks it and hits a snapping DDT in return.

• The crowd senses the change in momentum and is cheering Jameson as he kicks Chavez in the gut when he gets up, and then hits a lightning fast Bullseye straight to his chin. Chavez is down for the tree count.

Great win for Kirk Jameson! Jesus Chavez found out firsthand that it isn’t as easy to win matches without the backup of his cheating companions around the ring!

Cueball Lynch:
Oh hush Bambino, Jameson scored a fluke win tonight. I’m hardly impressed by that…

Lee Bambino:
I’m fairly sure he wasn’t looking to impress you Cueball.

Oh my… the Leper is in the house tonight Cueball…

Cueball Lynch:
Don’t tell me about it Bambino, I’ve got goose bumps just from looking at him.

Lee Bambino:
He said he was going to “show us all” tonight… I wonder what he has to say.

Cueball Lynch:
I’m just wondering who that dark soul is, the one he has been talking about for the last couple of months. That final piece of his puzzle, to put it in his own words.

Lee Bambino:
I guess we’ll find out tonight Cueball? Whether we like it or not…

[We cut to the backstage again, this time to the catering room where we can see the members of the 937 lb Express. The team that lost their Tag Team Title-match last month seems to be dealing with their loss by stuffing their faces. King Kong Kennedy is eating a foot long sandwich, while Ox Mastadon is chewing on a piece of chicken when all of a sudden an off-screen voice can be heard:]

Voice:
Hola boys, I see that you are fast on your way to change your names to The 1000 lb Express…

[Kennedy, who is standing at the far end of the table, has just stuffed a big piece of sandwich in his mouth and can’t talk at the moment. But you can see him giving a dirty look to whoever made the comment. Ox Mastadon tore the last piece of chicken from the bone and took an aggressive step forward, to come face-to-face with… Carl Batch.]

Ox Mastadon:
[Talking with his mouth half-full of chicken]
What do you want?

[The image pans out a little bit more and from behind Batch’s back his client Titan appears. He immediately steps in front of his manager and gets in the face of Ox Mastadon. The two big men stare each other down, breathing hard but not saying a word for a little while. Carl Batch breaks the silence:]

Carl Batch:
[smiling like he always does]
Easy there boys, we come in peace… I have a proposition for you.

[Ox and Titan step apart and Ox gives Batch a questioning look, still not saying anything. He looks to still be chewing the last piece of chicken in his mouth. ]

Carl Batch:
You were unlucky last month, to get beaten by those Puerto Rican nitwits for the title. But I watched your match and I saw potential. You just need a bit of guidance and… well, that’s where I come in.
[big smile]
Join me and I’ll lead you to the gold in no time, I guaran-damn-tee it! What do you say?

[Ox Mastadon looks at his partner King Kong Kennedy in silence, both seemingly thinking hard about the proposal. Then Kennedy seems to nod slightly. Ox turns Batch again, grunts and sticks out his hand, expecting to shake on the deal. Batch takes a disgusted look at the big man’s fingers, which seem to be full of chicken grease. He smiles again and just says:]

Carl Batch:
That’s a deal then!

[Without touching the dirty hands of Ox, Batch turns around and leaves the scene. Ox and Titan give each other one last dirty look, before Titan follows his manager out of the catering room. We then see Mastadon and Kennedy share a look and their menacing faces slowly turn into a little smile.]

Lee Bambino:
Hold your horses Cue, they had their chance last month and lost… what makes you think things are going to be any different now?

Cueball Lynch:
Don’t underestimate Carl Batch, Bambino.

• Reynolds goes on the attack early on, hitting Hocking with a couple of hard kicks to the side and then dropping his opponent with a nice neck breaker. His attempt for a three count was unsuccessful though.

• The action goes back and forth after that, with both men getting an equal part of the offense. The most impressive move was a superplex by Hocking, after Reynolds had climbed the ropes to finish the match. Hocking couldn’t capitalize on this move though, as Reynolds slid out of the ring after the impact.

• The Shocking one was able to finish the bout a little later though, when he caught a dazed Reynolds with an elbow to the gut and then hit him with his trademark “Hock Shock” for the three count.

[A short hype video is played to highlight the next match between Hell’s Bouncer & Titan against Bradford Peverell &Mainstream Hernandez.

The video focuses on the Hell’s Bouncer vs. Hernandez match from last month, where Mainstream was distracted by Titan and fell victim to Bouncer’s Damnation Drop shortly after.

Bradford Peverell:
Hell’s Bouncer… ever since your return to FCW, you have been dishing out these vicious post-match beat downs to smaller opponents. But how about you try to do that with someone your own size? I’d like to see you try tonight. Because one thing is sure: Bradford is going to knock… you… out!

While saying those last three words, Peverell starts shadow boxing and ends with a big left handed upper cut, seemingly ready to KO the big Hell’s Bouncer tonight.]

Mainstream Hernandez:
That leaves us, Titan… you sore loser. I’ve beaten you fair and square at FREEDOM Fighters, but you just can’t let it go. Carl Batch:
Peverell… Hernandez… why so hostile? Can’t we all… just get along?
[He cracks his signature smile and continues]
… All joking aside, I’ve been looking forward to this day. Finally Titan can get his revenge on you, Hernandez. Titan couldn’t wait to get his hands on you, but you always had an excuse for not facing him… tonight you’ll find out what a mistake you made at FREEDOM Fighters… And Peverell…

• Hernandez starts of the match against the towering Hell’s Bouncer, and goes on the offense immediately. He hits Bouncer with a series of drop kicks and then tries to hit a cross body coming off the ropes… but the big man simply catches him and hits a devastating powerslam.

• Bouncer is in solid control of the match then, it looks like he is breaking Hernandez in half with some power moves. Mainstream is selling like hell.

• With Hernandez on the floor, the big Titan comes in the ring. He immediately goes for the pin, but only gets a 2 count. He then slams Hernandez with a couple of bodyslams before going for a big elbow drop. But the smaller Hernandez rolled out of the way just in time and could tag out to Peverell who comes in red hot.

• Peverell immediately hits his signature “Speed bag” (a jab combination) on Titan, who rolls out of the ring. Peverell then goes to hit his “Dream Left Hook” on Bouncer, who is on the apron but avoids it just in time by dropping to the floor. Bouncer immediately wants to get into the ring, but is held back by Carl Batch at ringside. He makes clear that he first needs to tag in.

• Bouncer and Peverell go head to head with big right hands, with Peverell seemingly gaining the upper hand. He then throws Bouncer into the ropes, but the monster knocks Peverell down with a big boot on the rebound. He then powerbombed Peverell into oblivion, but only got a two count for his efforts.

• Titan was again very anxious to get in the ring with the opponent on the floor and Bouncer tagged him in. The big man stomped on Peverell’s head and stepped on his face for a few seconds, which earned a warning from referee Ryan Holland.

• The big Titan proves he’s no slouch himself as him locks Peverell in a big bear hug, squeezing the life out of him. “Hands of Stone” regains his composure though and breaks free after a few well aimed right hands to the head of Titan. Peverell then tags in Hernandez, who was looking forward to getting in the ring with Titan.

• Hernandez immediately jumps of the ropes and connects with a flying clothesline and then plants the big man with a spinning DDT. As Titan staggers up, Hernandez connects with his trademark “Terminal Inversion” (a reverse face plant). Titan looks to be in trouble and rolls out of the ring to catch his breath.

• Mainstream won’t allow his foe to recuperate though and strikes him with a spectacular plancha dive from the apron. The crowd is firmly behind the fan favorite.

• Titan then resorts to desperate measures as he hits a blatant low blow on Hernandez on the outside. Holland saw the action and got in the face of the big man, stating that he is “this close” to getting disqualified, but that doesn’t bother Titan one bit. On the contrary, he pushes the ref aside, picks up a chair and slams it into Hernandez’ back. Holland doesn’t hesitate and calls for the bell.

Lee Bambino:

[The crowd pops as the video screen cuts to backstage again, where we see Puerto Rican Champion Billy Russell warming up for his match tonight. He’s doing some pushups, when all of a sudden a shadow appears in front of him. Russell spots his visitor and immediately gets up with an intense look on his face. The crowd pops even harder when the ‘mystery’ visitor is revealed… it’s Puerto Rican Power!

[PR Power immediately makes it clear that he isn’t there to look for any trouble, by holding out his hands in innocence.]

PR Power:
Easy champ, I’m not here to fight. We both know I want that Puerto Rican Championship back… rather sooner than later, but I lost my shot last month against Grandmaster Phunk. The way he won was hardly fair, but I’m not going to sulk… that’s not my style. So tonight I’m solidly behind you Billy, no one wants either of those “Two Man Power Trip”-snakes to get their paws on the belt. So… good luck.

[With that Puerto Rican Power extends his hand to the champion. Russell studies the situation for a moment and then returns a firm handshake while looking PR Power straight in the eyes, which causes the crowd to pop once more. Russell then brushes past PR Power, with his typical intensity.]

• Gonzalez tries to engage the crowd in the match by waving his hands from the get go, while his cocky opponent stands across the ring. As soon as “The Maniac” climbs the ropes to shout out to his fans, Youngman attacks him from behind.

• Youngman takes the initiative to Gonzalez, hitting a few nice suplexes and then locking in a boston crab. Gonzalez is able to break the hold by reaching the ropes.

• This doesn’t stop Youngman, as he stomps Gonzalez a few times before locking in another boston crab. This time he is sitting in the opposite direction, and he is using the ropes for leverage when Ryan Holland isn’t looking. After a while he is caught by the ref though, and forced to break the hold.

• The momentum changes when Gonzalez is able to reverse an Irish Whip and hits Youngman with ten punches in the corner, while the crowd counts along.

• After some offense, Gonzalez hits one of his trademark moves, “Drop the Soap” (a Back-Cracker), but Youngman is able to kick out at two.

• It doesn’t take long after that though before Gonzalez can pick up the win with his Flat-Out. There is no kicking out of that one for Youngman.

[Lee Bambino’s victory shout is broken off when the lights go out all of a sudden…]

[The entire gymnasium is covered in darkness, sending a chill down everyone’s spine. Suddenly a voice can be heard.]

Voice:
Carlo-os….. oooh Carlo-os… Can you hear me, Carlos?

[The lights go back on and we see Leper Messiah standing at the entrance. He’s wearing his typical long black trench coat and is looking down at the floor, standing completely still. The audience can be heard booing, but as the camera focuses in on some younger spectators we can also see that a lot of them are sitting there in silence, with a terrified look on their face. Then Leper Messiah starts talking with a very calm voice.]

Leper Messiah:
Can you hear me, Carlos?...
[Long pause]
I hope you can hear me Carlos, because it’s you I need… I’m sure of it now. I see you standing in the ring, trying to engage with the crowd. Trying to have them cheer for you, but deep inside you’re just like me Carlos… you don’t give a damn about them!
[The crowd starts to boo again]
You are a dark soul, an animal at heart… and that is exactly what I need! You… are the final piece of my puzzle… You… are the final piece to complete my Leprosy! So…
[Messiah looks up with his eyes straight at Gonzalez in the ring and cracks a very fake looking smile]
… what do you say, care to join me?

[Gonzalez was walking anxiously in the ring during Leper’s monologue, with an intense and angry look on his face. He then receives a microphone from a crew member.]

Carlos Gonzalez:
Well… let me think about it, freak… The answer is NO!
[The crowd pops at his firm reply]
… Get the hell out of here!

[Leper Messiah chuckles a little bit and looks at the floor again. Then the lights go off again, and we can only hear his voice.]

Leper Messiah:
I don’t take no for an answer… We’ll see.

[The lights go back on and Leper Messiah is gone again. We are left with Gonzalez in the ring, looking very uncomfortable but trying to mask it by engaging the crowd again.]

• The two Latino Kings make no secret about the fact that this is basically a two-on-one bout, as they start approaching Singh from one side each. Singh is able to exchange some punches with Velasquez, but then gets attacked from behind by Galindo.

• The Hispanic combination then goes to work on Singh, double teaming the Indian wrestler en beating him in the ground. Velasquez attempts a few pin falls, but Singh gets up every time.

• After a few minutes of action, Velasquez sends his teammate to the top rope so that he can hit his finishing Shooting Star Press. Galindo climbs the ropes, does a crotch chop to taunt the crowd and then flies through the air… only to get caught by a boot from the fallen Singh. Galindo is hit square in the ribs and drops out of the ring. Singh then attempts a quick roll-up on the surprised Velasquez, but he kicks out at 1.

• The champion then goes for his own finishing “Street Cutter”, but Singh counters it by pushing Velasquez into the ropes and arm dragging him on the rebound. The crowd senses that the momentum is changing and cheer Singh on as he hits three consecutive belly-to-belly suplexes to dazzle Velasquez.

• Singh hits a few more technical moves on the champ before locking in his patented “Bombay Duck” (a figure four leg lock). Velasquez is in obvious pain and tries to reach the ropes. Just when it looks like he might give up, Galindo breaks the move with a double axe handle on Singh.

• With Velasquez immobilized, Galindo takes it to Singh with several dropkicks en stomps. Before too long, Singh can regain control though by hitting a nice DDT.

• Singh continues to punish Galindo for a while and then goes to hit his finishing “Cal-cutter” (a spinning neck breaker), but Galindo can push him away in desperation at the last moment. What Singh doesn’t know is that Velasquez has dragged himself up in the meantime and he hits his own “Street Cutter” on the unsuspecting Singh for the three count.

[The two Latino Kings are celebrating the win in the ring. Velasquez is limping a bit around the ring, obviously still hurt after that “Bombay Duck”. Galindo is not looking his best either, holding his neck and grimacing. The camera then focuses on Lee Bambino, as he seems to be mumbling into his mic and adjusting his headset. He then stands up with a microphone and addresses Rudy Velasquez.]

Lee Bambino:
Hey champ, congratulations on your win tonight.

[Velasquez smiles in the ring and shouts some insults to the booing fans. He then points at the belt he has wrapped around his shoulder.]

Lee Bambino:
But… I just got a message from FCW Head Office. While you did find a loop hole off some sorts in the number one contender contract, they feel that the mistake was on their part. The number one contender should not have been punished by this mistake, so next month at FREEDOM or Death it will be Rudy Velasquez versus The Sensational Singh… one-on-one… for the FCW People’s Championship!!

[The celebration in the ring is cut short by this announcement, as Velasquez starts kicking the ropes and shouting insults. Galindo points at Bambino and is threatening him, while the announcer signals he is innocent and this was not his choice. He is smiling as he does it though. The Sensational Singh is still knocked out in the corner of the ring, he doesn’t look like he knows he is in the match next week.]

A short music video starts to play, hyping the upcoming Puerto Rican Championship match. It focuses on Grandmaster Phunk, how he made his debut two months ago and beat PR Power last week in the number one contender match. • Grandmaster Phunk is strolling to the ring in style, wearing a long fur coat for the occasion. He looks very relaxed in the ring, but rolls out as soon as the intense Billy Russell arrives.

• The champion is immediately stalking his opponent to the outside. Phunk runs around the ring and rolls back in. He then starts kicking Russell as soon as he enters the squared circle again.

• The bigger Phunk looks to take control from there on, knocking the champion over with a couple of clotheslines and shoulder blocks. When he goes to pick him up, Russell is quick as lightning to lock in his patented “Twisting Arm Lock”. Phunk is squirming in pain and is able to reach the ropes just in time, in order to have referee Holland break the hold.

• While the number one contender is holding his arm in pain, Russell hits a few kicks to his legs and side. He then takes him down with a Russian Legsweep and goes for the “Twisting Arm Lock” again. Phunk is quick to roll out of the ring though, before getting caught again.

• Russell follows him and slams Phunk into the ring post on the outside. Holland is seen protesting the move, but the champion doesn’t care. Instead he slams Phunk’s face into the steps as well, under the loud cheers of the crowd.

• Back in the ring Phunk is able to regain control after a while, by hitting an unseen low blow on the champion, followed by a knee to the face. He then hits a vicious pile driver, but only scores a 2 count from it.

• Phunk doesn’t slow down though, hitting a few knee drops on the fallen champ and also scoring with a double back breaker.

• The challenger keeps control for a moment, but momentum turns in a split second again. As Phunk lifts Russell off the ground, he is locked into the “Twisting Arm Lock” a third time, this time in the middle of the ring. There is no escape for Phunk this time, but then all of a sudden…

• … Grandmaster Phunk’s accomplice, Handsome Stranger, comes running to the ring. As soon as Russell spots his enemy, he lets go of Phunk and gets in the face of Stranger, who is on the apron. They are shouting insults at each other.

• While Holland is trying to separate Russell and Stranger, Phunk is reaching down his trunks. We can see that he is taking out his brass knuckles again and putting them around his fist. He then goes to attack the champion, but Russell ducks out of the way just in time and Phunk hits his partner, Handsome Stranger. He didn’t hit him full on though, as Stranger just looks dizzy instead of knocked out.

• As Phunk looks to the outside of the ring, checking on his partner, Billy Russell drops him with a back suplex. He then hits his trademark “Grounded Knee Flurry”, catching Phunk straight on the side of his head.

• Russell immediately goes for the pin after that but just as Holland’s hand is coming down for the third time, Handsome Stranger comes in the ring and elbow drops the champion on the back of his head. Holland immediately calls for the bell after that move.

FCW FREEDOM or Death

Card

Hell’s Bouncer vs. Bradford Peverell

http://i1356.photobucket.com/albums/q740/flaviooooo/Small/HellsBouncer_zps81902988.jpg VS. http://i1356.photobucket.com/albums/q740/flaviooooo/Small/BradfordPeverell_zps0ac39041.jpg

By saving Mainstream Hernandez from a Hell’s Bouncer-beatdown, the heat is on between Bradford Peverell and the 6’11 monster.

After meeting in tag team action last month, at FREEDOM or Death they will go head-to-head full on in a match that is sure to make an impact.

Kirk Jameson vs. Hector Galindo

http://i1356.photobucket.com/albums/q740/flaviooooo/Small/KirkJameson_zps07c2b980.jpg VS. http://i1356.photobucket.com/albums/q740/flaviooooo/Small/HectorGalindo_zpse3f91900.jpg

Last month Kirk Jameson was able to beat Jesus Chavez, but can he do the same this month when he faces the second Latino King, Hector Galindo?

Or will the energetic Galindo be too much for the calculated youngster?

Jesus Chavez vs. Carlos Gonzalez

http://i1356.photobucket.com/albums/q740/flaviooooo/Small/JesusChavez_zps2423f9ed.jpg VS. http://i1356.photobucket.com/albums/q740/flaviooooo/Small/CarlosGonzalez_zps53dc0c0e.jpg

Carlos Gonzalez has been on a roll lately, stringing together the victories in style.

This month he faces his toughest challenge so far, as he goes one-on-one with the big Latino King, Jesus Chavez.

The main question might be: will Gonzalez be able to focus on this match after being called out by Leper Messiah last month?

The Batch (Titan & The 937 lb Express) vs. Mainstream Hernandez & The Puerto Rican Boys

http://i1356.photobucket.com/albums/q740/flaviooooo/Small/Titan_zps0df8ea3d.jpg http://i1356.photobucket.com/albums/q740/flaviooooo/Small/OxMastadon_zps51945533.jpg http://i1356.photobucket.com/albums/q740/flaviooooo/Small/KingKongKennedy_zps8a2bc4db.jpg VS. http://i1356.photobucket.com/albums/q740/flaviooooo/Small/MainstreamHernandez_zpseb91b6d3.jpg http://i1356.photobucket.com/albums/q740/flaviooooo/Small/IslandBoyApollo_zps163cbc35.jpg http://i1356.photobucket.com/albums/q740/flaviooooo/Small/KidSanJuan_zps38298c3d.jpg

After joining The Batch last month, The 937 lb Express team up with Carl Batch’s other client Titan against their foes, the FCW Tag Team Champions The Puerto Rican Boys.

The champs get the assistance of Mainstream Hernandez, who will no doubt be looking for revenge after being laid out by Titan (again) last month.

Rudy Velasquez © vs. The Sensational Singh

FCW People’s Championship match

Four months after winning the number one contender-battle royal at FREEDOM Fighters,

The Sensational Singh finally gets his one-on-one title shot with People’s Champion Rudy Velasquez.

Although it is to be expected that Velasquez’ fellow Latino Kings will be at ringside, this is the first time that Singh will get his hands on Velasquez in a straight up fight.

But will it be enough to win the belt?

Billy Russell © vs. Handsome Stranger vs. Puerto Rican Power vs. Grandmaster Phunk

Puerto Rican Championship match

http://i1356.photobucket.com/albums/q740/flaviooooo/Small/BillyRussell_zps1049215f.jpg VS. http://i1356.photobucket.com/albums/q740/flaviooooo/Small/HandsomeStranger_zpsb296bfc2.jpg VS. http://i1356.photobucket.com/albums/q740/flaviooooo/Small/PuertoRicanPower_zps67fa35f9.jpg VS. http://i1356.photobucket.com/albums/q740/flaviooooo/Small/GrandmasterPhunk_zpsa9aa2795.jpg

At FREEDOM or Death, Puerto Rican Champion Billy Russell will not be facing one or even two opponents, he will be going up against three of the most prolific men in FCW when he takes on Handsome Stranger, Puerto Rican Power and Grandmaster Phunk.

The champ has stood strong the past couple of months, but can he handle the challenge of three men, hungry for his title?

Hell’s Bouncer vs. Bradford Peverell

While somewhat equals on the card, I feel that Bouncer is poised to leap into the title discussion shortly.

Kirk Jameson vs. Hector Galindo

Jameson shows his strength against the other Latino King before another shot at Velasquez

Jesus Chavez vs. Carlos Gonzalez

Predicting that a distraction from Leper Messiah sets Gonzalez off

The Batch (Titan & The 937 lb Express) vs. Mainstream Hernandez & The Puerto Rican Boys

Either cleanly or via DQ, the faces take this one down

People’s Championship: Rudy Velasquez © vs. The Sensational Singh

Velasquez will retain as there are more faces on this level to feud with

Puerto Rican Championship: Billy Russell © vs. Handsome Stranger vs. Puerto Rican Power vs. Grandmaster Phunk

With Russell's contract in flux and the need for a face to carry the title against the two big name heels, it might be time to pass the belt.

[some mellow Caribbean music fills the arena only to be interrupted by a loud, banging pyro. Heavy guitars take over the tune and the FREEDOM or Death logo is being shown on the big screen while the crowd starts cheering.]

Lee Bambino:
Hey everybody, my name is Lee Bambino and sitting alongside me is Cueball Lynch, welcome to FREEDOM or Death! And Cueball, tonight is truly do or die for champion Billy Russell, as he faces not one, not two but three of the biggest stars in FCW for the title.

Cueball Lynch:
Indeed, Russell will not be able to cheat his way out of this one!

Lee Bambino:
Billy Russell never needed to resort to cheating, so I doubt he would start today. But I wonder how the so-called “Two Man Power Trip” of Grandmaster Phunk and Handsome Stranger will handle this ‘every man for himself’-environment.

Cueball Lynch:
I’m sure they’ve already planned this out Bambino, one of them is going home with the championship!

Lee Bambino:
And what about the People’s Championship-match? Velasquez can no longer avoid or run from The Sensational Singh!

Cueball Lynch:
Avoid or run? Why would he do that, he’s the champ for Christ’s sake. And he will prove it tonight!

Lee Bambino:
We’ll see about that..

[We cut to the backstage where we see The Sensational Singh and Kirk Jameson walking up to Carlos Gonzalez, who is working out in the dressing room. As soon as he sees the duo entering, he gets up with a bright smile on his face and heartily greets them.

Carlos Gonzalez:
Hola hombres, ready to kick some Latino King a$$ tonight?

Kirk Jameson:
Sure thing Carlos
[He keeps up his stoic appearance as he shakes Gonzalez’ hand]

Carlos Gonzalez:
How about you, future champ?
[Facing Sensational Singh, smiling even more brightly]

The Sensational Singh:
Ooooh yeah mr. Carlos, it’s about time that rat Velasquez loses the gold, sensational style!

Carlos Gonzalez:
I’m counting on it Singhie, and I also expect a title shot in the near future.

[The remark was said tongue in cheek, as all three competitors share a good laugh. Then things get a bit more serious.]

The Sensational Singh:
How about you Carlos?

Carlos Gonzalez:
Me? I’m going put that chump Chavez down tonight, make my familia proud of me!

The Sensational Singh:
I wasn’t talking about Chavez actually…

[both Kirk Jameson and The Sensational Singh have a concerned look on their faces. Gonzalez on the other hand seems annoyed by the question and becomes a bit angry as he snarls at his friends.]

Carlos Gonzalez:
You’re talking about that freak Leper Messiah, right? Screw him man, he better leave me alone or else…

Voice:
Or else what?

[Gonzalez is interrupted by a voice off screen. When the camera pans out a bit, we can see that some more people have entered the room.]

[The Latino Kings (who will be fighting Singh, Gonzalez and Jameson in one-on-one matches tonight) walk up to the three with a smug look on their faces. Velasquez is holding his FCW People’s Championship-belt over his right shoulder and gets in the face of Gonzalez.]

Rudy Velasquez:
Or else what, Carlos?

Carlos Gonzalez:
[barking back with an aggressive tone]
I’ll show your boy Chavez later tonight what’ll happen then!

[With that comment, the big Jesus Chavez steps up from behind Velasquez with a pissed look on his face. He seems ready to hit Gonzalez, but is held back by the champion who holds his hand on the big man’s shoulder.]

Rudy Velasquez:
Not yet big man, plenty of time to f*ck these guys up later…. That goes for you as well Singh, no way you’re putting your dirty hands on my belt, ese!

The Sensational Singh:
I’m ready when you are, oooh yeah!!

[Velasquez snickers and then leaves the room. Jesus Chavez shares a final dirty look with an irritated Carlos Gonzalez before turning around. The final Latino King, Hector Galindo, gives the threesome an arrogant look and then taunts them with a crotch chop. He then starts laughing and also exits the scene.]

GRADE:
E

Lee Bambino:
Those Latino Kings are so arrogant. I can’t wait to see The Sensational Singh winning the belt!

Cueball Lynch:
I think you’re not giving Rudy Velasquez enough credit, he beat Singh last month didn’t he?

Lee Bambino:
In a two-on-one mugging! The only way Velasquez can win is with the help of his cronies, so I hope they are taking out by Jameson and Gonzalez!

Cueball Lynch:
Fat chance…

Lee Bambino:
But let’s talk about the upcoming match, between Bradford Peverell and Hell’s Bouncer…

Cueball Lynch:
What’s there to talk about? Peverell bit off more than he can chew and Bouncer is going to finish him off tonight.

Lee Bambino:
I don’t know Cueball, Hell’s Bouncer is a monster for sure… but Peverell is not laying down for anybody. If he can land his Dream Left Hook…

Cueball Lynch:
… Bouncer will shake it off and laugh, you just watch!

• Hell’s Bouncer starts the match with his typical blank stare down and approaches Peverell with a slow, menacing walk. Peverell isn’t waiting around and attacks the big man with heavy right hands. Bouncer doesn’t seem fazed by them though and retaliates with a big, clubbing blow which knocks his opponent away.

• Bouncer looks at Peverell with an evil smirk and starts walking over to him, but Peverell again goes on the attack with several right hands. This time Bouncer seems to be reeling a bit. He tries to hit a big blow of his own again, but this time Peverell avoids him and clips his knee with a chop block. Bouncer drops to one knee and Peverell hits the ropes, looking for an impact move… but gets caught in a big chokeslam.

• From there on, Bouncer punishes his opponent with power move after power move, Peverell looks in trouble but kicks out of a few arrogant covers.

• After a hellacious backbreaker, Hell’s Bouncer signals that he is going for his Damnation Drop. But as he picks up his foe, Peverell starts hitting quick jabs in desperation. Bouncer seems more surprised than hurt, but momentum seems to shift in Peverell’s advantage again.

• “Hands of Stone” seems to have the big man on his heels and hits a thunderous uppercut, but Bouncer is still standing. He then hits the ropes and scores with a mad man clothesline, taking Bouncer over the top rope to the outside, where he lands on his feet. Peverell also fell out of the ring in the process.

• The mayhem continues on the outside, where both competitors are hitting each other with big right hands again. Bouncer then irish whips Peverell into the guard rail and continues to punish him on the unforgiving floor. In the meantime referee Ryan Holland has reached his ten count, officially making this match a draw due to double count out.

Peverell then continues his onslaught with a nice jab combination he likes to call “The Speedbag” and clotheslines Bouncer against the guard rail.]

[Peverell then picks up a chair and goes to hit Bouncer, but the monster simply slams the chair away with one hand. The action is then broken down by a number of backstage workers who are there to keep the two fighters apart.

• Hector Galindo comes out on his own, taunting Jameson’s valet Maryam Vega with a crotch chop from the top rope. Jameson is quick to pull Galindo down and arm drags the Latino King around the ring a few times.

• The match is a definite clash of styles: Jameson with the more calculated approach, locking his opponent into a few restholds and stretches that make you cringe in pain by just watching them; Galindo with flash top rope moves and high speed attacks.

• After grounding Jameson with a stiff enzuigiri to the head, Galindo went up to the top rope. After focusing on Maryam Vega on the outside again for a moment (blowing a kiss to her, followed by a crotch chop taunt), Galindo comes flying off the turnbuckle with his trademark “Latino Press” (Shooting Star Press)… but nobody was home anymore! Jameson was able to regain his composure during the taunting and rolled out of the way just in time.

• Galindo is hurt after slamming the mat face first and was quickly locked into the Kirk-Hold, where he had no choice but to tap up.

That’s the second week in a row that Kirk Jameson beats one of those dreaded Latino Kings Cueball!

Cueball Lynch:
Oh come on, if it wasn’t for that hoochie Maryam Vega on the outside Galindo would have won easily. She distracted him and Jameson took advantage!

Lee Bambino:
You’ve got to be kidding me! Maryam didn’t do anything besides being embarrassed about Galindo’s macho behavior… Serves him right for disrespecting her like that!

Cueball Lynch:
Disrespecting? Jeez … she would be glad to have a man like Galindo…

Lee Bambino:
Yeah right… Now let’s see if that other Latino King, Jesus Chavez, fares any better against Carrrrloooossss Gonzalezzzzz!

Cueball Lynch:
You never get tired of doing that do you?

Lee Bambino:
Never! But let’s take a look at what happened last week, between Carlos Gonzalez and… Leper Messiah.

[A short hype video about Carlos Gonzalez starts playing, but it’s not focusing on his upcoming match against Jesus Chavez. On the contrary, it’s showing highlights about last week’s match against Ernest Youngman and more specifically the aftermath, when he was “invited” by Leper Messiah to join him.]

[Gonzalez was very clear in refusing the offer, and the video fades out with Leper Messiah saying “I don’t take no for an answer… We’ll see” .]

• An irritated Gonzalez and Chavez engage in a fist fight as soon as the bell rang, hitting each other with everything they’ve got. Gonzalez started to get the better of the exchange, connecting with 4 right hands in a row before Chavez retaliated with a big clothesline.

• Chavez dropped the pace after that, punishing Gonzalez with a few body slams and keeping “The Maniac” on the floor with elbow and knee drops.

• After a while Gonzalez is able to capitalize on a missed leg drop from Chavez, and hits a nice DDT to regain the momentum.

• Gonzalez plays the crowd a bit and after some offence he is looking to hit his patented “Flat-Out” when all of a sudden the video screen starts to flicker and a familiar face shows on it.

Leper Messiah:
Carlos… Gonzalez… Have you thought about my proposition? I know I’ve been thinking about you…
[Disturbing laughter as the video fades out again]

• Back in the ring we can see Gonzalez is livid about what just happened, he is shouting insults at the video screen but is unaware that Chavez has snuck up behind him. The big Latino King capitalizes on the distraction and hits “The 187 Neckbreaker” for the tainted win.

[We cut to the backstage again, where we can find a very proud looking Carl Batch, smiling in the camera. He is surrounded by his clients Titan and the 937 lb Express, forming the stable he conveniently named “The Batch”. The sheer size of the team is very impressive, and they seem to know it. All three clients have an arrogant smirk on their faces.]

Carl Batch:
Take a good look people, at this fine gathering of the most vicious men in FCW today. As if having Titan under my guidance wasn’t enough to inflict pain on the locker room… just ask Mainstream Hernandez
[Chuckle]
… but now I’ve also acquired the most impressive tag team in this company; The 937 lb Express, soon to be tag team champions! That’s right, I’ve pulled some strings and next month at FREEDOM’s Fury you’ll not only see Titan destroy Mainstream Hernandez in one-on-one action, but we will also recapture the tag team gold from those Puerto Rican idiots when my 937 lb Express faces the Puerto Rican Boys. And that something you can count on.

Lee Bambino:
I don’t like the guy, but I’ve got to hand it to him: Carl Batch has an eye for business. He’s only been The 937 lb Express’ manager for what… a month? And he already arranged a Tag Team Title rematch for them?

Cueball Lynch:
That’s how he rolls Bambino, Batch is the best agent in the business.

Lee Bambino:
By the way: did you see the smug look on those kissers?

Cueball Lynch:
Sure did, and can you blame them? All three men separately are barely stoppable, but combined… good luck haha!

As much as I hate to agree with you … you might be right…

Carl Batch w/ Titan and the 937 lb Express

• Hernandez starts off against the burly King Kong Kennedy. It’s clear that the big Kennedy is too slow to catch the smaller man, as he plods around the ring while Hernandez ducks his attempts. Hernandez is also able to hit some quick kicks and jabs in the process, which frustrates Kennedy to no avail.

• Ox Mastadon is next in the ring with Hernandez, but suffers the same fate. Mainstream is even close to a pinfall after a surprise monkey flip, but only gets a 1 count. Kid San Juan is tagged in next, and he continues to frustrate the big men with his quick avoiding of their attacks and counters of his own.

• Things seem to go wrong for the PR Boys when San Juan gets too close to the turnbuckles and gets clotheslined by Titan from the outside. Ref Holland warns The Batch-member, but momentum has changed nonetheless.

• The Batch starts a vicious beatdown on the small San Juan, with quick tags between the attacks. It’s obvious though that while The 937 lb Express is a cohesive unit, Titan is looking out for his own success. Often disregarding his team mates to be able to hit a big move of his own.

• The turning point in the match seems to come when Ox Mastadon misses a “Stampede” (Running Butt-splash in the corner) and hits the turnbuckle hard. Kid San Juan is quick to crawl through his legs and makes the hot tag to Island Boy Apollo, who starts hitting every opponent with big right hands.

• Apollo seems on fire and goes to hit a DDT on a stunned Ox Mastadon, but Kennedy enters the ring and hits a clubbing blow to the back of Island Boy’s head. This causes Mainstream Hernandez to enter the ring and he hits his patented “Superkick” on Kennedy in a flash, straight to the kisser, knocking the big man out. Holland has some trouble getting order back in the ring but eventually is able to do so.

• The end of the match comes a little bit later, when Kid San Juan has surprised the big Titan with a running drop kick and subsequent running bulldog. He then goes to the top rope, looking to hit his Moonsault Press but from the outside Carl Batch is holding his leg.

• It only distracts Kid San Juan for a second, but that’s enough for Titan to pick him off the top rope and hitting a devastating “Titanic Chokeslam” on the little guy for the three count.

Big win for The Batch out there! They look ready to get the gold next month!

Lee Bambino:
They were impressive, I’ll give you that. But in the end, it was the interference by Carl Batch that made the difference.

Cueball Lynch:
That’s what a good manager does Bambino, looking out for his clients. And don’t kid yourself, even without him The Batch would have taken this one.

Lee Bambino:
Quite possible Cueball, but I’m not giving up on the Puerto Rican Boys retaining next week. By the looks of it, Batch still has some work cut out for him to make The Batch a cohesive unit.

Cueball Lynch:
We can’t expect miracles from the man on such short notice, but believe me… next month we’ll have new Tag Team Champions!

Lee Bambino:
We’ll see about that next month, but up next… we might crown a new FCW People’s Champion!

[A hype video starts playing, putting the focus on the FCW People’s Championship Match. We get to see some highlights of The Sensational Singh winning the number one contender-battle royal at FREEDOM Fighters, then his battle with Jesus Chavez that went to a draw and finally the three way with Velasquez and Galindo of last month. • Champion Rudy Velasquez seems very cocky as he enters the ring, accompanied by Jesus Chavez and Hector Galindo, although both look a bit banged up from their matches earlier on. As soon as The Sensational Singh enters the fray however, Velasquez rolls out of the ring.

• When the action finally starts, Singh is able to arm drag Velasquez a few times around the ring and after he is hit by a nice Russian leg sweep, the champ bails out again to regroup on the outside.

• Singh waits patiently in the ring while Velasquez and Galindo are shouting insults at him, but all of a sudden Jesus Chavez comes in from behind with a big boot, knocking the challenger down behind the referee’s back. Velasquez quickly rolls in the ring again, looking to capitalize.

• The champ has control for most of the match from there on, hitting a few nice technical moves on Singh and also locking in a tight sleeper hold to set the pace.

• Velasquez’ momentum shifts when referee Holland catches his accomplice Hector Galindo choking Singh in the corner. Velasquez gets in the face of Holland to object, and is then quickly rolled up by the challenger. He only scores a two count though.

• Velasquez tries to retaliate with a big right hand, but Singh ducks and then hits a nice Atomic drop. He then dropkicks Hector Galindo (who was standing on the apron) to the outside.

• Singh then hits his trademark “Cal-Cutter” on the champion, which looks to end the match. But as he goes for the pinfall, Jesus Chavez jumps in the ring and attempts an elbow drop… only to hit Velasquez with it, as Singh rolled out of the way just in time. The challenger then disposes of Chavez with a jaw breaker.

• With both Latino Kings out of commission, Singh locks in his patented “Bombay Duck”-submission hold in the middle of the ring. Velasquez squirms for a good minute, but in the end has no other choice then tapping out. We have a new champion!

A music video starts to hype the main event, a fourway for the Puerto Rican championship.

• The tension can be felt when all four competitors are in the ring together, each one on a separate corner of the ring. It doesn’t take long before the action gets underway, with PR Power and Handsome Stranger exchanging blows, while Grandmaster Phunk and Billy Russell tangle.

• After a few minutes of brawling, Handsome Stranger is able to hit a sneaky low blow on PR Power and shoves the big man out of the ring. The Two Man Power Trip can then start double teaming Billy Russell. Despite being attacked by two men, Russell is still able to lock in his patented “Twisting Arm lock” on Handsome Stranger, but Phunk breaks the hold before too much damage is done.

• Phunk and Stranger aren’t really working as a cohesive unit, but the combination is still too much for the champion as he is weakened by his opponents. It doesn’t take long before Handsome Stranger can hit “La Gota” (a spinning bull dog) on Russell, but before the cover reaches the one count it is broken up by… Grandmaster Phunk.

• The two start arguing; apparently they didn’t really strategize properly who could take the win and after some hard words they start exchanging right hands. That is until PR Power rolls back into the ring and knocks them both down with a hard double clothesline.

• The action continues with every man getting roughly the same amount of offense… it’s clear though that it’s every man for himself now, as Handsome Stranger and Grandmaster Phunk are seen brawling on several occasions as well. At one point we even see Stranger hitting his finisher “Catalan Twist” on his ‘friend’, but the pin attempt was broken by Billy Russell.

• While Phunk and PR Power are brawling on the outside of the ring, Handsome Stranger is in control against Russell between the ropes. He hits the champion with a nice set of suplexes and is arrogantly strutting around the ring. That is until Russell quickly locks in his “Twisting Arm Lock” again.

• Stranger is squirming in pain but he is able to reach the ropes in desperation. Russell then hits a nice back suplex on the Mexican before striking him straight to the side of the head with a “Grounded Knee Flurry”. Grandmaster Phunk spots that his former ally is in trouble, but before he can enter the ring he is taken of his feet by PR Power with a big “Puerto Rican Power Block” (Shoulder Tackle). The move has so much momentum that PR Power hits the ring post in the process himself.

• Russell covers the fallen Handsome Stranger and with no one to break the count, the champion retains the belt.

Update on the predictions!

I've also decided on a price; I want to sign a new midcard face and have made a list of possible signees... but can't decide who to pick.

The signee should then debut on FREEDOM's Gate (in October)

The ranking so far:

jhd1 - 8/10, 80

christmas_ape - 4/5, 80

Eisen-Verse - 4/6, 66,67

Bradford Peverell vs. Hell’s Bouncer

In a rematch from last month, Bradford Peverell and Hell’s Bouncer will go head-to-head once again.

At FREEDOM or Death the match ended up in a wild brawl on the outside of the ring, causing both men to be counted out.

Will this month’s encounter have a clear winner?

The Puerto Rican Boys vs. The 937 lb Express

FCW Tag Team’s Title Match

http://i1356.photobucket.com/albums/q740/flaviooooo/Small/IslandBoyApollo_zps163cbc35.jpg http://i1356.photobucket.com/albums/q740/flaviooooo/Small/KidSanJuan_zps38298c3d.jpg VS. http://i1356.photobucket.com/albums/q740/flaviooooo/Small/OxMastadon_zps51945533.jpg http://i1356.photobucket.com/albums/q740/flaviooooo/Small/KingKongKennedy_zps8a2bc4db.jpg

Carl Batch is never shy of a surprise.

After gaining the services of The 937 lb Express, it took him exactly one month to get his mammoth tag team on the map with a Tag Team Title rematch.

A few months ago, the speedy Puerto Rican Boys defended their title successfully against the big men.

Can they do it again, or will the experience of manager Carl Batch be a factor in the match at FREEDOM’s Fury?

Mainstream Hernandez vs. Titan

http://i1356.photobucket.com/albums/q740/flaviooooo/Small/MainstreamHernandez_zpseb91b6d3.jpg VS. http://i1356.photobucket.com/albums/q740/flaviooooo/Small/Titan_zps0df8ea3d.jpg

After being eliminated by Mainstream Hernandez in the number one contender battle royal back at FCW FREEDOM Fighters, Titan has had it in for Hernandez.

He has laid him out on several occasions, but the two will now finally meet in one-on-one action.

Will the fun babyface have what it takes to bring down the big man, or will Titan’s sheer size and power be too much to handle?

Carlos Gonzalez vs. Leper Messiah

http://i1356.photobucket.com/albums/q740/flaviooooo/Small/CarlosGonzalez_zps53dc0c0e.jpg VS. http://i1356.photobucket.com/albums/q740/flaviooooo/Small/LeperMessiah_zps7b95b720.jpg

Leper Messiah has been talking about completing a puzzle for some months now, and asked Carlos Gonzalez to be the final piece but the proud warrior rejected.

Last month Messiah showed he doesn’t take no for an answer as he distracted Gonzalez during his match, causing him to lose.

This month at FREEDOM’s Fury Carlos has vowed to take revenge on his foe.

Handsome Stranger vs. Puerto Rican Power

http://i1356.photobucket.com/albums/q740/flaviooooo/Small/HandsomeStranger_zpsb296bfc2.jpg VS. http://i1356.photobucket.com/albums/q740/flaviooooo/Small/PuertoRicanPower_zps67fa35f9.jpg

After losing in the fatal four way for the Puerto Rican Title last month, Handsome Stranger and Puerto Rican Power will now engage in one-on-one action.

Both have plenty of history with each other, so this should make for an exciting match.

And you can count on the fact that the winner will want to throw himself in the race for the title again.

Steel Cage Match

Puerto Rican Championship match

Two months ago at FREEDOM of Speech Billy Russell defended his title against the charismatic Grandmaster Phunk.

He won the match due to a DQ, but got beaten down by Phunk/Handsome Stranger afterwards.

This month Grandmaster gets his rematch, but within the confines of an unforgiving steel cage, making it impossible for external interference.

Can Phunk make his rematch count, or will the champion stand tall once again?

The Sensational Singh Title Celebration

http://i1356.photobucket.com/albums/q740/flaviooooo/Small/KashmirSingh_alt1_zps4b751654.jpg

Last month at FREEDOM or Death, The Sensational Singh finally got his hands on the FCW People’s Championship title.

This month he’s planned a big celebration in the middle of the ring, as he wants to share his joy with his fans all around.

Just a quick shoutout that this diary is not dead, I just have been pretty busy these last few weeks.

But I just picked this up again; I still need to write about 6 more segments, so I hope to post the results sometime this week!

  • 1 month later...

[some mellow Caribbean music fills the arena only to be interrupted by a loud, banging pyro. Heavy guitars take over the tune and the FREEDOM’s Fury logo is being shown on the big screen while the crowd starts cheering.]

Lee Bambino:
Hey everybody, my name is Lee Bambino and sitting alongside me is Cueball Lynch, welcome to FREEDOM’s Fury! Cueball, we have one hell of a show tonight!

Cueball Lynch:
Absolutely Bambino, last month we saw the Two Man Power Trip apparently disband, but tonight Handsome Stranger and Grandmaster Phunk will show that they can handle themselves just fine when they face the so-called superstars of FCW.

Lee Bambino:
We’ll see about that Cueball, but indeed; we have a super dual-main event for you tonight. As if Puerto Rican Power versus Handsome Stranger wasn’t enough, we’ll also see a real grudgematch between Billy Russell and Grandmaster Phunk… inside a steel cage. No interferences, no disqualifications… just a straight up fight for the title!

Cueball Lynch:
Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide for Russell haha!

Lee Bambino:
Give me a break Cueball, Russell won’t run, nor hide for anyone. Talking about the champ: he’s on his way to the ring it seems!

We cut to the ring side where Puerto Rican Champion Billy Russell is indeed entering the fray. He has his typical, intense look on his face and grabs the microphone.

Billy Russell:
Cut the music … I’m not here to sing and dance, I’m here to kick some a$$!
[Loud pop from the Puerto Rican crowd, who love the intensity of their champion]
… For the past few months, I’ve beaten the best FCW has to offer: Handsome Stranger, Puerto Rican Power, Grandmaster Phunk… Hell, last month I’ve beaten them all in one single night!
[Large pop again as Russell smirks a little bit]
But apparently the people at FCW head office can’t seem to get enough of it, as they booked that phoney Phunk into a rematch for toni…

[billy Russell is interrupted by a funky jazz tune that starts blaring out of the speakers, signifying the arrival of Grandmaster Phunk. It doesn’t take long before he pops up at the entrance, with a microphone in hand. He does a little dance to his tune before he starts talking.]

Grandmaster Phunk:
Hold your horses, Billy-boy… when exactly did you beat me? You scored an undeserved DQ over me two months ago, when that idiot Handsome Stranger interfered although I had the match under control. And last month you snuck a pinfall on that same schmuck, while I was beating the crap out of PR Power on the outside… So I deserve this rematch!

Billy Russell:
The only thing you deserve is a solid a$$-whooping!
[Crowd pops again… off course]
Come on down to the ring, and we’ll settle this right here… right now!

Grandmaster Phunk:
[Phunk cracks a big smile]
I’d love to, champ… I really would. But as even you can see, the ring isn’t ready yet. We are having a cage match, remember? This time no one will be able to run in to save you, no one can help you. We’ll need to wait until the cage is set up, so you’ll just need to be patient… spend some quality time with the belt while you wait, because at the end of the night it’s going around my waist!

Billy Russell:
I’m sick and tired of hearing you talk Phunk, and so are all of these people here tonight! Actually, I’m sick and tired of you completely! How about we add an extra stipulation to our match… Winner gets the belt, loser leaves FCW!
[The crowd didn’t expect this statement, so the reaction is a bit mixed. Although they would love to get rid of the smug Phunk, they don’t want to lose their proud champion]

Grandmaster Phunk:
Loser leaves town?...That sounds… funky!

[Phunk’s music starts to play again and he leaves the scene, still with his big smile on his kisser. Russell on the other hand is fuming in the ring, very frustrated that he needs to wait to get his hands on his foe.]

Lee Bambino:
Wow, loser leaves town!! Things just got even more interesting Cueball! We could lose our champion Billy Russell tonight!

Cueball Lynch:
Oh, we can dream can’t we, haha. He dug his own grave with that statement Bambino, not only will he lose his belt tonight, he’s also going to lose his job.

Lee Bambino:
Also, if we learned anything from that altercation it’s that the Two Man Power Trip is no longer a team!

Cueball Lynch:
Looks like it, some harsh words from Phunk about Stranger. But let’s focus on what’s more important… After Phunk wins the belt and Stranger beats PR Power tonight, they can settle their differences inside the ring next month… like two valiant men of their stature do!

Lee Bambino:
Valiant men?… Give me a break! Two backstabbing snakes; I wouldn’t miss Phunk if he loses tonight, not for a second!

[A hype video starts to play to set the focus on the match that’s up next, between Bradford Peverell and Hell’s Bouncer.

• Just like last month it’s Peverell that starts off the match with a barrage of big right hands. Bouncer takes in the punches, but doesn’t seem too impressed and knocks down his opponent with a clothesline. He takes control of the match from there on.

• The turning point comes when Peverell is slammed into the turnbuckle, but able to avoid a running avalanche from Bouncer into said corner. The big man rams the turnbuckle hard and seems stunned. Peverell capitalizes with a neckbreaker to put the big man down.

• Just like last month, the action spills to the outside again where Peverell slams Bouncer into the ring post several times. The big man has his part of the offense as well, as he bodyslams Peverell onto the ring steps. This time they make it inside the ring in time though.

• Bouncer is punishing Peverell in the ring with several power moves, but all of a sudden “Hands of Stone” hits his signature “Dream Left Hook” out of nowhere, straight to the kisser of Hell’s Bouncer. The big man drops to the ground.

• While Peverell is recuperating from the onslaught in the corner, we can see Bouncer sitting up casually after being knocked down. Peverell has his back turned to Bouncer, so he is unaware of the threat.

• As Peverell turns around he is caught in a chokehold. Bouncer even picks his opponent up by the throat, looking to hit a vicious chokeslam. Peverell is able to release the hold with several big hits to the head though. He isn’t able to escape completely however, as Bouncer converts the hold into his patented “Damnation Drop” and finishes the match.

Carl Batch:
It’s time to crown new tag champions people. Just look at these behemoths standing behind me… does anyone think there is even a slight chance that they will lose against the Puerto Rican Boys? Because that’s just what they are… boys. King Kong Kennedy and Ox Mastadon are going to destroy those boys and take away the gold … I guarantee it

• The energetic Puerto Rican Boys frustrated their slow and plodding opponents early on: Kid San Juan was too quick to catch, while the brawling Island Boy Apollo matched the power of the big men. It didn’t take them long to go out of the ring and regroup with Carl Batch.

• Momentum shifted to the challengers when Ox Mastadon unexpectedly hit Kid San Juan from the outside of the ring. Kennedy then dropped him with a powerslam.

• The 937 lb Express looked in solid control, punishing San Juan with some nice teamwork. The young Puerto Rican Boy was able to make the hot tag to Apollo though, after ducking out of the way of a stiff clothesline. Apollo came in the ring and immediately hit both challengers with big right hands.

• The champion got a bit too confident though, as he immediately set up Mastadon for his patented “Island Driver”. Carl Batch jumped onto the apron to distract Apollo and he lost his focus on Mastadon. The challenger immediately retaliated with a head butt and slinged Apollo into the turnbuckle.

• Apollo was too dazed to escape from there on. Ox Mastadon pulverized him in the corner with his trademark “Stampede” (Running butt-splash in the corner) and then finished him with a big “Ten Ton Splash”. We have new champions!

Haha Bambino, new champions… just like I called it before the match!

Lee Bambino:
With a little help from Carl Batch nonetheless…

Cueball Lynch:
That’s what a good manager does, you should know that by now.

Lee Bambino:
Apparently, but I still don’t like it. Up next we go from one title win to another; The Sensational Singh’s title celebration!

[The arena is filled with the bombastic entrance-music of The Sensational Singh as the new champion walks out. He is wearing a bright yellow robe and flashy sunglasses, as he struts to the ring while acknowledging the crowd. In his path both Kirk Jameson and Maryam Vega follow. Jameson, always Mr. Serious, even has a small smile on his face. Maryam Vega is acting like a ditzy blonde, skipping around on the entrance path, high fiving the fans.

[As they enter the ring, a bunch of orange and yellow balloons fall from the ceiling, to celebrate the new champion’s entrance. Singh struts around the ring for a bit and then drops his robe to the mat, unveiling his People’s Championship-belt to the audience. In background we can see Jameson and Vega applauding their buddy with a bright smile on their face. The whole scene is a bit eccentric to say the least, but it fits Singh’s character perfectly. The Sensational Singh then takes a microphone.

The Sensational Singh:
Ooooh yeah FCW audience, I… am… the NEW People’s Champion!
[Crowd pops]
Last month I finally beat Rudy Velasquez for the belt and I did it in sensational style! And you have to admit…
[singh turns to Jameson and Vega, showing off his belt]
I look great with gold, haha! Woooooooo!
[The champion takes off his belt and proceeds to bring it to his lips, obviously preparing to kiss it. But then he is interrupted by some Hispanic gangsta rapmusic]

[The Latino Kings walk out from the back. Former champion Rudy Velasquez has a microphone and looks livid.]

Rudy Velasquez:
Ey yo, get your filthy lips off my belt!!

[The crowd starts booing. In the ring, Singh puts the belt over his shoulder. He is still smiling though as he retaliates.]

The Sensational Singh:
Your belt? If I remember correctly I beat you last month, woooo!

Rudy Velasquez:
You got lucky, you smelly Indian! I want a rematch and I want it next month!

The Sensational Singh:
Ease up there Rudy. You want me to make you submit again?

Rudy Velasquez:
You wouldn’t even be able if you tried, ese. But I have something different in mind. A match where luck won’t be such a big factor… I want you… in a ladder match!

[The crowd seems pretty excited at the thought of Singh vs Velasquez in a ladder match for the title, as they give out a small pop.]

The Sensational Singh:
That sounds sensational Rudy, but I’d like to add one extra stipulation… You called me a smelly, filthy Indian, right?...

[The camera focuses on the Latino Kings, as they are grinning and shouting “That’s right” in unison.]

The Sensational Singh:
So let’s make things interesting then… Next month at The FREEDOM Movement: if you win, you get the People’s Championship. If I win… you have to kiss my smelly, filthy Indian feet!!
[The crowd pops again, they would love to see this happen]

[Velasquez is looking shocked on the outside and starts complaining to his fellow Kings. Galindo in particular has a disgusted look on his face… He then turns back to Singh.]

Rudy Velasquez:
You are a disgusting disgrace for MY People’s Championship holmes, … you’re on!!

Cueball Lynch:
I’m disgusted by that Kiss Singh’s Feet-stipulation Bambino. That guy doesn’t deserve to be the champion, I hope Rudy Velasquez kicks him off the ladder!

Lee Bambino:
We’ll see… But up next, a grudge match if there ever was one. Mainstream Hernandez has been wanting to get his hands on Titan for some time now… tonight he’ll finally get the chance.

• Despite the big size disadvantage, Mainstream Hernandez takes the fight to Titan. Hitting him with some big right hands en chops until the big man rolls out of the ring.

• Hernandez follows him and continues the onslaught, until he is distracted by Carl Batch and Titan can slam him into the ring post.

• Titan has solid control from there on, hitting several power moves on Mainstream and gloating to the crowd about it. He also tries a few casual pins (including one where he simply puts his foot on his opponent’s chest), but Mainstream doesn’t stay down.

• After the big man missed an elbow drop, Hernandez goes for a quick schoolboy rollup. But Titan kicks out at 2. He tries to clothesline Mainstream for his efforts, but it’s countered into a Russian Leg Sweep. Both men are down for a moment after this.

• Titan is the first one up and he goes to pick up Mainstream by the hair. He then throws him into the turnbuckle and looks to hit a running elbow into the corner, but Hernandez is quick to duck out the way.

• The stunned Titan is then hit with Mainstream Hernandez’ trademark “Fever Beat” (a leaping single arm DDT), which typically sets up his finisher “Apparition #14” (a shooting star press). Mainstream goes to the top rope and looks to be aiming his jump when all of a sudden…

• Carl Batch hits him with a chairshot from the outside, to the back of his leg. Mainstream falls to the ground and Ryan Holland never doubts about disqualifying Titan for the blatant interference.

Leper Messiah:
Carlos Gonzalez… When you rejected my extended hand, you didn’t just insult me… you disrespected me… and I don’t like to be disrespected. • The menacing Leper Messiah is standing in the ring, staring at the energetic Carlos Gonzalez while he enters the fray. As soon as Gonzalez enters the squared circle, Messiah cracks a fake smile and extends his hand for a handshake. Gonzalez isn’t looking to make friends with Messiah though and he immediately hits the big man with several right hands before knocking him out of the ring with a clothesline. He then goes to the top rope to celebrate.

• When Leper enters the ring again, Gonzalez continues his onslaught with kicks and punches. It doesn’t take long before Messiah takes control though, after a huge chokeslam.

• At one point Messiah is seen choking Gonzalez while screaming out “No is not an option”, he lets go just before Ryan Holland was going to disqualify him. As he walks up to the referee to intimidate him, Gonzalez tries to steal the win with a small package, but Messiah kicks out easily.

• Gonzalez got a few nice moves in, but in general Messiah never really looked in trouble. In the end he finishes the match with his finisher “The Prophecy”, after hitting a few power moves in succession.

• After the three count, he is seen standing towering over his fallen opponent. He bows down and seemingly shouts some insults at Gonzalez, before leaving the ring.

• The arrogant Handsome Stranger is mouthing insults at the audience as he enters the ring. As soon as PR Power arrives, Stranger rolls out of the ring. Power plays the crowd, who are loving their national hero.

• PR Power has early control over the match, throwing Stranger around the ring like a rag doll. Momentum shifts after a sneaky low blow though, which Ryan Holland didn’t see.

• Stranger takes PR Power down with several technical moves (suplex, Russian legsweep, DDT) and then locks in a Boston crab, stretching the back of his larger opponent. Being the cheating heel that he is, he occasionally applies more pressure by pulling the ropes behind referee Holland’s back.

• PR Power doesn’t need the interference of Holland to break free though. After a good minute of being locked in the rest hold, he powers loose and swings Stranger out of the ring in the process.

• After some back-and-forward action on the outside, Stranger regains control in the ring with an eye gouge. Holland warns Stranger about the cheating, but he brushes him off.

• Stranger punishes Power with some submission holds, but his opponent won’t quit. He then resorts to his cheating ways, as he goes to remove the cover from the turnbuckle. When he tries to irish whip PR Power into that corner, the move is reversed though and Stranger slams his back hard into the exposed iron turnbuckle. As the hurt Handsome Stranger staggers out of the corner, PR Power hits his trademark San Juan Rush (running lariat), almost decapitating his opponent in the process.

• PR Power picks up Stranger and plays the crowd by signaling that he is about to go for his finishing “Atomic Full Nelson”. The crowd goes wild as he locks in the hold and after some struggle we see Handsome Stranger crying uncle.

Lee Bambino:
Will you stop Cueball? Handsome Stranger exposed the turnbuckle himself, it’s only justice that it was him that got slammed into it in the end! Puerto Rican Power takes a major step to being the new number one contender! But who will he face?

• The intense champion immediately goes to work on Phunk, bashing the challenger with elbows as soon as the cage door was closed. Phunk looks a bit overwhelmed as Russell tries to go for the Twisting Arm Lock within the first couple of minutes, but he manages to escape with a blatant low blow. No DQ in this match, which suits Phunk perfectly.

• Phunk has solid control of the match from there on. He’s not entirely focused however, as he is often playing the crowd in between his moves. Russell capitalizes on his lack of concentration and is able to score a two count with a flash pinfall.

• The match evens up with both competitors hitting a couple of big moves. Russell sticks to his trade as he tries to lock in several submission maneuvers and resteholds, while Phunk is able to use the caged environment as he ducks a running clothesline and then uses Russell’s momentum to throw him against the cage headfirst.

• At the 18 minute mark, Phunk looks to finish the match as he is able to hit his patented “Phunkensteiner” out of the blue. He is too weakened to go for the pin immediately but when he finally does, Russell is able to kick out at 2 ½ .

• The frustrated Phunk gets in the face of referee Ryan Holland and pushes him into the turnbuckle. Holland is not knocked out completely by the blow, but goes to the ground either way. Phunk then reaches into his trunks and takes out the set of brass knuckles he has used before several times.

• Before he can hit Russell with it however, the champion takes him down with a snap suplex and then locks in his trademark “Twisting Arm Lock”. He extends the arm aggressively and Phunk is tapping out… but referee Ryan Holland is not up yet. Russell lets go and walks over to revive the referee.

• In the meantime Phunk is crawling over to his brass knuckles, with a painful look on his face. Just as he wants to strike Russell, the champion ducks underneath and then turns the effort around in an atomic drop. Russell then picks up the brass knuckles himself, looks out to the crowd (who are cheering him on intensely) and then hits the illegal objects right across Phunk’s kisser.

• Russell then locks in the Twisting Arm Lock again as Holland has regained his composure. Phunk is no longer able to tap out, so the referee drops his arm three times to finish the match. Russell retains!
