<p><strong>PWI Radio</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Well let's start the week in revue. CMLL has a new television deal with ESPN. It seems CMLL wants to branch out into American markets. </strong></p><p>

</p><p><strong>

AWA All-Star Wrestling is returning to the airwaves as well it will be airing on TNN. </strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>WWF All-Star Wrestling will debut on CKND up in Canada.</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Jim Crockett Promotions will also be airing a new show next season NWA Monday Night Nitro airing live on Mondays on the USA Network. </strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Huge news coming from Japan Riki Choshu, Tiger Mask, Bob Orton Jr., Masa Saito, Bob Backlund, and Solar have all signed written deals with All- Japan Wrestling. Giant Baba has said since we have risen to Cult status we are looking to expand our roster. Will losing Riki Choshu who many insiders claim is one of the best wrestlers in the world cripple New Japan? Only time will tell I would think.</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>On Saturday Night's Main Event WWF World Heavyweight Title changed hands as Bob Backlund dropped the title to Superstar Billy Graham. We send our congratulations out to Mister Graham who is now in his second reign as WWF World Champion. Bob Backlund had made 20 title defences before losing the title.</strong></p>

A good, huge Starrcade to round out the year and get us into the next rotation of storylines. Can't wait to see what you have on hand for us next! Kinda jealous I don't get show reports out as fast as you do! <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

SUNDAY WEEK 1 DECEMBER 1983

Bob Caudle: Fans welcome to NWA Main Event here on USA. Monday night we had some explosive action from Puerto Rico.

Gordon Solie: Piper was challenged by Buzz Sawyer for the United States title. That will be a very violent encounter fans.

Bob Caudle: Well we have a great match to start NWA Main Event. It would literally main event in every arena around the world Nick Bockwinkel versus Andre the Giant.

Andre the Giant vs Nick Bockwinkel w/ Bobby Heenan

In a superb bout that had great wrestling and a sizzling crowd, Andre The Giant drew with Nick Bockwinkel in 16:00 when the time limit expired. Rating 100

Bob Caudle: My God that was amazing match between two men who are certainly legends in this sport.

Gordon Solie: I am very impressed by both men. Andre and Nick Bockwinkel gave it their all in this match.

Bob Caudle: I am being told we have a disturbance in the back.

Roddy Piper and Buzz Sawyer are seen duking it out as road agents and staff try to pull the two men apart. Rating 64

Gordon Solie: This is turning into a war between these two men. What is going to happen next between these two loose cannons?

Bob Caudle: I don't know but it's going to be wild.

Gordon Solie: Let's go to the ring and see Barry Windham fighting against Bret "The Hitman" Hart.

NWA MID-ATLANTIC HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE:

Bret Hart w/ Jimmy Hart vs Barry Windham ©

In a bout that featured great action but not much in the way of heat, Barry Windham defeated Bret Hart in 12:03 by pinfall after Supersuplex. During the match we also had Curt Hennig distract Windham. Barry Windham makes defence number 2 of his NWA Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight title. Rating 78

Bobby Heenan: Well let all you humanoids out there on a little secret. NWA 35th Anniversary show it's end of this month. Barry Windham my client here Curt Hennig wants his title back. So you man enough Windham to face the greatest second generation wrestler in the history of this sport.

Curt Hennig: Barry Windham your nothing. You cheated me out of that title. Come the 35th Anniversary show I am going to beat you and take back my title. Because you are stain on the legacy of the Mid-Atlantic championship. Rating 70

Owen Hart & Sam Houston vs The Road Warriors

In a match that had some good action but non-existent crowd heat, The Road Warriors defeated Owen Hart and Sam Houston in 12:01 when Road Warrior Animal defeated Sam Houston by pinfall with a Top Rope Powerslam. Rating 83

The Fabulous Ones are in the ring, when Jim Cornette comes out. He challenges them to a tag team match, on behalf of his clients The Midnight Express. The challenge is accepted. While their backs are turned The Fabulous Ones don't notice The Midnight Express hitting the ring, and get blindsided. They are left down and out. Rating 72

Bob Caudle: The Midnight Express and Jim Cornette are cowards. Attacking the U.S. Tag Team champions like that.

Gordon Solie: Well this feud for the United States Tag titles is just heating up it seems.

Bob Caudle: Well our next match is David Von Erich versus King Kong Bundy.

Gordon Solie: The monster Bundy looked impressive at Starrcade against Andre the Giant.

Bob Caudle: Question is can stop David Von Erich's hot streak that he is on of late?

David Von Erich vs King Kong Bundy w/ Jimmy Hart

In a bout that featured great action and average heat, David Von Erich defeated King Kong Bundy in 16:14 by submission with an Iron Claw. Rating 79

David Von Erich: Well Harley Race I have been traveling all over this country getting better and better all the time. I fought you a few months back in one of the best matches of my career. I came very close winning the NWA World Title that night. At the NWA 35th Anniversary Show Harley Race I want you in the ring. Cause I know if I can beat you I am one step closer to becoming what my father has dreamed about all his life, and what I have dreamed about all my life. That's becoming the NWA World Heavyweight Champion. Rating 94

Randy Savage: Oh Yeah!!! The Macho Man is here in Cincinnati Gardens to battle Ric Flair for the NWA World Heavyweight title. Flair tonight the Macho Man ascends to the top of the NWA. Oh Yeah Can you dig It!!! Rating 80

Ric Flair: Macho Man tonight you face your toughest challenge of your career because you step in the ring with the World Heavyweight Champion. Tonight Savage I am going to take you to school. Diamonds are forever and so is Ric Flair WOOO!! Rating 94

Bob Caudle: Three interviews by three different men all concerning the NWA World Heavyweight title Gordon. It seems everyone is wanting the title.

Gordon Solie: I think Randy Savage is a great athlete in this sport and one of the best to grace this sport, but I don't see him dethroning Flair of the World title tonight. I believe he needs to go after the Mid-Atlantic, Television, or U.S. title before he tries to go for the World Heavyweight belt.

Bob Caudle: Talking about the Television title Tully Blanchard will be defending the title against Ricky Morton next.

NWA TEVEVISION TITLE MATCH:

Ricky Morton vs Tully Blanchard © w/ Elizabeth

In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, Tully Blanchard defeated Ricky Morton in 16:27 by submission with a Figure-Four Leglock after interference from Elizabeth. Tully Blanchard makes defence number 9 of his NWA Television title. Rating 81

Tully Blanchard: I want you take a good look right here. I am the greatest Television champion of all time. I have the Perfect Ten the most beautiful and sexist woman to grace this world. There is no one absolutely no one that can beat me for this title.

Elizabeth: Everywhere that me and Tully Blanchard go men want to be Tully Blanchard because he is the essence of success. Every woman desires to be me the Perfect Ten because I am the one and only woman for Tully Blanchard. Rating 74

Bob Caudle: Gordon all I can say is Tully Blanchard and his Perfect Ten are very confidant if not conceited.

Gordon Solie: Someone needs to step up and take that Television title from Tully Blanchard. I think Dusty Rhodes might be that man.

Bob Caudle: Well Gordon, Dusty Rhodes and Terry Funk are next.

Dusty Rhodes vs Terry Funk

In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, Dusty Rhodes defeated Terry Funk in 24:57 by pinfall with a Bionic Elbow. Rating 76

Hulk Hogan: You know Roddy Piper I didn't mean to miss your show for some reason customs held me at the airport until after the show in Puerto Rico. So if you like come next Monday night I will be on your next episode of Piper's Pit. Rating 83

Bob Caudle: Well that's big news for Monday night Hulk Hogan on the Piper's Pit.

Gordon Solie: Yes it is. Our next match will see if Randy Savage can pull the upset against Ric Flair.

NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH:

Randy Savage w/ Jimmy Hart vs Ric Flair

JCP HEADQUARTERS CHARLOTTE, NC

John Cornell: Well Starrcade was fantastic people are still calling in and telling us it was amazing show. Lot people coming up for contracts Barry Windham, Rock and Roll Express, Jim Cornette, Tommy Rich, Buzz Sawyer, and The Fabulous Ones.

Jim Crockett Jr.: I got to give you credit I would of done things totally different at Starrcade. Is it true want their saying about Bundy?

John Cornell: Yes he wants to move on. He is refusing to even talk to us about a new contract. Windham, RnR, Cornette, and Fabs are my main concern at the moment.

Jim Crocket Jr.: What is going on with that one contract?

John Cornell: Unless you open your wallet he is going to head to the WWF.

Jim Crockett Jr. No I told you already I am not willing to pay pass $23,060 for him. I don't care if Flair, Windham, and Wahoo wants him to come in I will not budge.

John Cornell: Than he is going to sign with Vince. What you want to do with Rich and Sawyer?

Jim Crockett Jr.: Offer them PPA contracts I doubt Vince will come after them.

John Cornell: I hope your right.

<p>Let see here picking a fight with Ric Flair. Spreading rumors about Ric Flair. Being a jackass and pretty much saying it was a waste of time after every infraction. So I fired him. I had him already in the hottest feud in the company with Roddy Piper and Buzz Sawyer. I fired Buzz Sawyer over numerous failed drug tests. It supposedly cleaned Buzz up. </p><p> </p><p>

Hence why Piper first guest was David Von Erich.</p>

Where I highlight the game world showing where promotions were when I started in Jan 1983 to end of Dec 1983. An give you a list of end of the year awards. If any wrestlers you want me to highlight please comment and I will give you brief synopsis of what they have been doing in game.
