JT Money 6.0 - Real World Mod

Recommended Posts

It's possible that my comp is acting up but the mod won't work for me. Says there is an error whenever I try to extract the file. I'll work on it more tomorrow and let you know but I have a feeling it's just me that can't download it

Well, now I know how I'm spending my Sunday. Thanks!

p.s. Just a biased suggestion, but I think you and Iceisle should get together and use his picture pack for JT Money <img alt=";)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/wink.png.686f06e511ee1fbf6bdc7d82f6831e53.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Awesome additions to the female fighters. Only ones missing that I've noticed are Alex Chambers, Duda Yankovich, Miriam Nakamoto and Norma Rueda Center(who I hadn't heard of until she was booked to fight Joanne Calderwood at the next Invicta)

I've finally gotten around to playing through so I'll edit this if I notice anything off. First thing is Josh Barnett should be signed to UFC. Also, I think popularity should be looked at. I'm not the best person to give suggestions on where fighters should be, but some of the fighters just seem way off.

Contracts need checking as well. Noticed some issues with fighters having Standard Contracts in multiple organizations. The game doesn't recognize them as critical issues and I'm not sure it will have a huge effect on game play, but I'll post what I've found anyway.

Yeah, I think so too, Fuel TV is probably too exclusive as its not a cable channel, but there would have to be 2 of them in the game so it can be booked right. There are 3 within 3 weeks in August.

and Shark Fights hasn't put out an even in two years so gotta agree.

as for the websites, it makes sense, for low promotions to stream, as long as they aren't high in pop I see no harm in it

True, sometimes I forgot about the limitations with tv deals.

I would highly suggest going over the UFC again as a whole. Some of it is crazy accurate, but it is very inconsistent.

Ilir Latifi has 81 power, but Stipe Miocic has about 60.

but the popularity is what gets me, Benson Henderson has Low Level Int. and Gilbert Melendez and Gray Maynard have Mid.

Joseph Benavidez is High Nat, yet champion Johnson is Low Nat.

Gustafsson and Texeira are like Low Nat and High Reg. and Shogun is at High Level Int.

not trying to complain, as I appreciate the work you've done, but more work is needed to get this more consistently accurate.

I'm sure if you asked around, people would be more than willing to help you split the workload.

I's be willing to take a weight class or two (depending on if people help), but I've never worked on a mod so if you could PM me on how to transfer the info to you that'd be great. and there obviously needs to be some basis for comparison, because I'd be tweaking skills as well, as a lot of guys are rather generic and are missing their main skills.

I'd take WW and MW.

And just for a heads up, you may want to delete ALOT of the camps, seeing as many of them only have 2 people and it slows loading times down to a crawl.

@ Jipper.

I get what you are saying, but I'm merely trying to look at this as a realist as opposed to in a biased way (which has got to be the hardest part about making a mod.) Shogun is undoubtedly popular yes and easily deserves at least Mid Int in Japan and Brazil, but he can't be any higher than Low Int in the US.

Gus and Texeira are arguably the 2 top contenders besides Machida, Gus is at Low Nat, when I believe he deserves High Nat at the least after dominating Shogun, and Glover is at High Regional after a win over Rampage, who has massive popularity, so I'd say he's at least Mid Nat.

My main issue is not with bias, it is the fact that it is very inconsistent.. Like Flyweight champ Johnson is Low Nat, while a guy he's beaten (Benavidez) is High Nat. And as ecw413 said, Josh Barnett is not High Int, nor is Cro Cop. Ronda Rousey is Mid Nat, yet Gina Carano is Mid Int.

Some of the stuff seems spot on absolutely, but then there is an obvious lack of consistency where it literally makes no sense whatsoever. It just makes it seem like they were thinking logically and just started getting bored and stopped caring about realism and didn't do their homework.

It's the same way with stats. GSP has just as much power as Hendricks? yeah right! I get his hand skill being good but he is not like 80-something power in his hands (nor is Ilir Latifi, where that came from bewilders me)

People like Cat Zingano (who is a Muay Thai expert) is stated as a wrestler and has mediocre skills in everything, and doesn't even have "Good" striking and here Muay Thai is set in the 40's..

Stipe Miocic has 50 in boxing skills while Roy Nelson has 70, despite Miocic making him look silly in their fight.

Now I'm really not trying to tear this to shreds, as the skills have definitely been looked at more than in most MW mods, but with that said, it is the first release and there is much work to be done, therefore I am voicing my concerns as to make it easier on JT (or whomever helps) to evolve and make this the best real world mod out there, which I know people would absolutely love this if it is fine tuned.

Popularity isn't judged by how well a true MMA fan, like yourself, knows things. Popularity is how well someone is known overall. Glover has been in the U.S. for a year. Yes, he beat Rampage but he's only had four U.S. fights. To MMA fans, beating Rampage means something but to your average Joe, Teixeira, hasn't been around long enough to be known. I guess what I'm saying is that longevity and success equal popularity and some guys you're mentioning don't have the longevity yet in my opinion.

Therefore arguments like Gina Carano being more popular than Rousey is true to me. If you show 100 random people (not just MMA fans) a picture of Gina Carano and Rousey, more will probably recognize Carano due to her movies, MMA & American Gladiators.

You're completely wrong about Cat Zingano. I've been a big supporter of Women's MMA for close to a decade. I don't know what her Muay Thai background is but Zingao is a four time All-American which makes her a wrestler in my book. Plus if you've ever seen her fight it's obvious she's a wrestler.

I won't comment on the numbers. I haven't played the MOD so I don't know who's set to strike the hardest etc. I just wanted to make those other points. Regardless of what we disagree with, I'm sure we both agree that anyone who puts time into these MODS deserves a thank you. My Mod is three years in the making, it's still in the beginning stages and I haven't touched it in over 6 months.

I think the mistake is mostly with setting fighters as International in one area that they are well known. For example, Tatsuya Kawajiri is set at 50 International in Japan. The problem is setting someone as International anywhere will make them at least International to start, regardless of their popularity in other areas. Even if you set every other area as Unknown and 0, the game will automatically change their popularity in other areas to reflect their International status. I did this with Kawajiri, started the game, and he was 49.5 National is every other area by default. He's not a well known fighter in the US, and he's set at 35 National. He should be regional at best and mid-high level national in Japan, in my opinion. But he's just one example.

So yeah, it should definitely be looked into. Other than that and contracts, it's a killer mod. If popularity and contracts are fixed, and there are some tweaks to fighter stats, this mod will be pretty much perfect!
