That's why he created thePIT.

"The wrestlers themselves are not, wrestlers. At thePIT, they bear more of a resemblance to pitbulls looking to kill one another. But how do you discover the toughest pitbull, you ask? It's one thing to make them fight but what if one has an off day? Well, I assure you I have put plenty of thought into this question, but the answer can only be revealed in thePIT itself."

An elevated, eight sided, steel cage similar to that of an MMA-promotion's holds the "Pitbulls". The key differences in thePIT's cage versus a traditional MMA Octogon include:

- All eight sides of thePIT's cage are slanted outwards so the "Pitbulls" can run up the sides or perch themselves on the edges, allowing for leaps of faith and high flying action.
- Leaving the cage by one's own free-will causes an immediate disqualification and a loss. Being thrown out of the cage or falling off of the edges can create one of two scenarios: i) the other "Pitbull" may opt to have his opponent brought back into the cage, or alternatively, ii) the other "Pitbull" may choose to follow his opponent out of the cage, causing the stipulation to change to a falls count anywhere match.
- To prevent "Pitbulls" from fighting with fear, there are three cage officials on the outside to watch for "fakers". For example, should a "Pitbull" pretend to fall off the edge while attempting a high risk manoeuvre to escape the cage for a moment, the three officials will discuss and come to a decision as to whether a disqualification is required.
- Weapons are not allowed in thePIT upon entering the cage, however, should a "Pitbull" acquire a weapon mid-match, it's fair game.
- No other "Pitbulls" are allowed at ringside until one of the two competitors have left the cage. At this point, other "Pitbulls" may rush the cage to encourage, however they wish, the other "Pitbull" to re-enter thePIT.

It was really weird. His car was parked outside and he popped out like a jack-in-the-box, like he was preying on the rejects. He hopped out and talked me into this deal and sure enough I took it. Now I was surrounded by a bunch of guys in suits and next thing I knew the room went black. I woke up about an hour later with the other guys, according to Alexis, and I was in a dim-lit room with a cage directly at the bottom of this steel ramp. Alexis told us he wanted us to all see thePIT at the same time, as to not gain any unfair advantages. One by one we were motioned down to the cage to take a look and check out our new surroundings. Alexis then revealed to us that we weren't leaving. I didn't get it, but of course, there was an explanation. As we all walked up the ramp he handed us all a blue key, which he later explained was his "matrix". We were his slaves, and in due time, we could maybe even earn ourselves a red key, which would unlock the door to the outside world, where we could finally go home. Room and board were all in the contract, as was food and the like. And interestingly enough, the blue key wasn't just a symbol, it was also the key to my room. Here we go I guess..."

I trust you enjoyed your evening, as today we have much to get to. Here at thePIT, we will be using a ranking system to push through the season. The "Blood Rankings" will help us decide after our eleven month cycle... I mean season, which of you will remain in thePIT and which of you are ready to move on to greater things. Those of you who are not, will have to continue through your ordeal until you are prepared for the events beyond the walls of thePIT. To advance in the rankings, you must beat the man ahead of you. To move backwards through the rankings, you must lose to the man below you. You may only fight the man above or below and once you receive a challenge, you cannot back down.

Now, after ten months of the season, the eleventh will be dedicated to the "Season Championships", where our top eight Pitbulls will compete in a Round Robin Tournament, where the top four will receive their red keys, and will be replaced for the next season.

How will we determine the initial rankings? If you are the ultimate winner in the end, you will receive the top spot, and may only be challenged by the man below you, and that challenge can only be made after one month has passed, as the winner will receive not only the top seed, but a one month rest period in return for their efforts"

The twenty men look confused, but begin to size up their competition.

"Now, entertain me", says Ich as he chuckles and sits back in his chair.

Arthur Dexter Bradley, Cerberus, Cip Conduit, Curtis Jenkins
Extreme Deluxe, Josh Jones, Lion Heart, Marvel Malloy
Nigel Svensson, Nomad, Outlaw Wes Revell, Quentin Queen
Reggie Bishop, Simon Ice, Storm Spillane, Ted Brady
Tex Tagan, Tony Yee, Trauma, Waldo Odlaw

The Cesar Kaslow render is PERFECT for Alexis.

Winner: Storm Spillane

ETA: This is a very intriguing project! I really dig the industrial look of everything. It gives it that grimy underground feeling that lacks so sorely these days. I'm following.

The odd few hugged the cage walls and hoped for the best but most were jumping right into the action and getting involved in the fight. The first elimination came when Cerberus got into a little brawl with Cip Conduit. Cerberus tossed expecting to follow him, however, Cip rushed the cage and grabbed on to Reggie Bishop he whipped back at Cerberus. Cerberus, not prepared for this, acted on impulse. The result of this was Reggie Bishop being flung in the air until he finally came down, being folded over the top railing of the cage, at which point he bowed out of the match. After this elimination, a target immediately showed up on Cip’s back, and after being chased around and beaten down for another five minutes by various “Pitbulls”, he scaled the cage and crawled out, bowing out of the match.

First Elimination and 20th Seed; Reggie Bishop

Second Elimination and 19th Seed; Cip Conduit

Tony Yee and Arthur Dexter Bradley showed some signs of working together for a few brief moments in the match. A common manoeuvre that we saw from them on more than one occasion was when ADB would whip Yee towards the cage, where the latter would run up the cage and perform whatever strike or technique he saw available. Dropkicks, clotheslines, even the occasional hurricanrana, Yee and ADB were working together and it was working. They even managed to eliminate a “Pitbull” with some beautiful team work. Nomad would walk into a trap when ADB baited him over to where two sides of the cage met. A drop toe hold led to Nomad’s face being placed against the cage and moments later, Yee had joined the scuffle, placing his foot on the back of Nomad’s head to force him into the cage even more. ADB put the nail in the coffin after applying a Boston Crab which led to Nomad tapping out to the pain and bowing out of the match. In another corner of the cage, a smaller scuffle saw Simon Ice escape the cage by his own free will after being beaten down by Trauma for a long period of time.

Third Elimination and 18th Seed; Nomad

Fourth Elimination and 17th Seed; Simon Ice

Trauma would celebrate after he forced Ice out of the cage, but it was short lived as he would then be attacked by Josh Jones. Josh’s technical prowess allowed him to quite literally mop the floor with Trauma, as he tossed him down and kept him down with submissions and rest holds to effectively immobilize Trauma. Trauma eventually ran out of energy and would become a ragdoll, and realizing his precarious predicament, bowed out of the match.

Fifth Elimination and 16th Seed; Trauma

Waldo Odlaw and Quentin Queen were very quiet for the amount of time they had spent in the cage, and finally saw that the talent pool was getting smaller. Odlaw made the first move, wildly swinging at Quentin Queen and putting him out-cold on the canvas. Since Queen didn’t quit, he was still technically in the match, but Odlaw didn’t concern himself with him as he was no longer a threat. Odlaw went and calmed himself down and quietly roamed along the cage walls looking for another victim, but he would be jumped by Storm Spillane and Marvel Malloy who would force him out of the match due to the sheer amount of strikes they unleashed on him. They also finished what Odlaw started, beating on Queen until he came to, where he would surrender.

Sixth Elimination and 15th Seed; Waldo Odlaw

Seventh Elimination and 14th Seed; Quentin Queen

Outlaw Wes Revell tried to get involved in the fight little by little, but was soon bowled over by Ted Brady. Brady, although a lightweight, packed a mean punch in his compact frame. Revell tried to fight back but the onslaught that Brady was putting on him was too much. A little more time passed and although Revell tried to tough it out, it was too much, and he would surrender as well.

Eighth Elimination and 13th Seed; Outlaw Wes Revell

Cerberus and Brady would realize how strong of a pairing they were, and in the short time that followed (about 5 minutes), six men would be eliminated. Cerberus and Brady would chase down those who had proven themselves to be threats. The two men singled out Marvel Malloy who had gotten separated from his partner Storm Spillane. Marvel was caught between rabid “Pitbulls” and knew what was going to happen next. Instead of taking unnecessary punishment, he warned Storm and fled the cage. Storm was quick to follow after watching the two men turn their attention towards him.

Ninth Elimination and 12th Seed; Marvel Malloy

Tenth Elimination and 11th Seed; Storm Spillane

Cerberus and Brady continued their rampage, picking on much weaker men just to get their way, and Tex Tagan was their next victim. Cerberus got a hold on the cowboy and literally squeezed the life out of him while Brady swung for the fences. A now bloody Tagan would either pass out or tap out due to the strikes, and he chose the latter, escaping with little left of his nose and hopefully all of his teeth.

Eleventh Elimination and 10th Seed; Tex Tagan

Brady and Cerberus continued to beat down the competition that remained. Nigel Svensson and Lion Heart remained very quiet throughout the match in terms of elimination, but contributed very much so to the blood that was shed. Svensson would get caught in between Cerberus and Brady, and as they ran towards him, Lion Heart charged in and spear-tackled Svensson out of the way to save him. Brady and Cerberus landed on their backs after colliding head-to-head. Brady looked unconscious, but Cerberus was slowly getting up. Extreme Deluxe took one for the team and tried to keep him down, but he would get thrown out of the ring in due time and the fall to the floor below was too much. Extreme Deluxe surrendered and continued up the ramp.

Twelfth Elimination and 9th Seed; Extreme Deluxe

Svensson was still laying on the ground after being “saved” by Lion Heart earlier. Lion Heart, however, hopped up to his feet and continued to beat down on Brady, but as Cerberus was getting his wits about him, everyone left in the ring (minus Brady and Svensson) grouped together and gave him a beating he would remember. Cerberus toughed it out at first, but soon gave in to the punishment and as he laid there and took it, a loud “I quit!” was heard and he was helped out of the cage.

Thirteenth Elimination and 8th Seed; Cerberus

Curtis Jenkins, Lion Heart, Josh Jones, ADB & Tony Yee all contributed to the elimination of the biggest man in the match, but now had to turn their focuses to either each other, or Ted Brady. Brady and Svensson were still injured or incapacitated so the five men decided to turn on each other. Tony Yee took a shot at Josh Jones but was caught from behind by Curtis Jenkins in an extremely tight Rear Naked Choke. Tony Yee was about to go unconscious and ADB was caught up in a scuffle with Lion Heart and could do nothing to help. Yee eventually tapped out to the pain and the “High Flyin’ Hawaiian” was now out of the match and had left his partner-in-crime to go solo. At this point, Svensson also bowed out of the match, citing a rib injury as the cause.

Fourteenth Elimination and 7th Seed; Tony Yee

Fifteenth Elimination and 6th Seed; Nigel Svensson

Curtis Jenkins, Arthur Dexter Bradley, Lion Heart, Josh Jones and Ted Brady were the final five. One of these men would be crowned the very first Pit Lord, and get a month off to rest. Josh Jones and Ted Brady were arguably the most beat down of the five, as ADB, Jenkins and Lion Heart had taken little punishment throughout the match. A surprise elimination came when Jenkins got caught by a wayward flying knee that from ADB, which Lion Heart had just dodged. Jenkins was now on wobbly legs, and ADB followed up, swarming him until he surrendered and bowed out of the match.

Sixteenth Elimination and 5th Seed; Curtis Jenkins

Arthur Dexter Bradley was in good spirits now, looking very confident, but Lion Heart was also gaining confidence. Josh Jones got into the mix once more, scrapping with ADB. Lion Heart joined the brawl leaving Brady as the odd man out. Brady was finally getting his wits about him once more and was looking like he was getting ready to pounce. Josh Jones was sent flying into the cage wall and laid there for a moment. Brady and Jones locked eyes and Brady looked like he was about to charge. As he ran towards Jones, Jones didn’t have the energy to move out of the way in time, and just before he was crushed, he surrendered. Brady would however leave his back turned to Lion Heart, who would throw him to the ground with a brutal Powerbomb. Once Brady was on the ground, Lion Heart continued with a heel hook which would force Brady to tap out.

Seventeenth Elimination and 4th Seed; Josh Jones

Eighteenth Elimination and 3rd Seed; Ted Brady

Arthur Dexter Bradley tried to pounce on Lion Heart and finish him off but he would have none of it. Bradley soon wound up on the top of the cage waiting to leap, and as he was preparing to, Lion Heart caught him off guard and knocked him off of his perch, leaving him on the outside. Bradley laid there, out of it, and Lion Heart prepared to finish things. He ran up the cage wall and flew with a giant cross-body, but just as he was about to connect, ADB moved out of the way and sent him face first to the ground, after a solid 12-foot drop. ADB picked him up and sent him face first into the cage, and as he attempted to finish the match with a rear naked choke, Lion Heart came to and forced himself out of it, escaping underneath ADB’s legs and sweeping him down, applying a Sharpshooter. ADB tried to withstand the pain but with no possible escape, he tapped out.

Final Elimination and 2nd Seed; Arthur Dexter Bradley

Winner of the Battle Royale and the New Pit Lord; Lion Heart

<img src="http://i39.tinypic.com/9u3bsp.jpg" style="">

Month 1: Battle Royal(rest for #1)

Month 2: Match, loss to #2

Month 3: Match, loss to #3

Month 4: Match, loss to #4

Month 5: Match, loss to #5

...

Month 10: Match, loss to #10.

So it looks like the season-inaugural Pitlord only has to win two matches to make it to the season finale. That's...nice. And it means he has an incentive to try to coerce #3 to fight #2, so that he gets a bye month.

~~~
And Round Robin, 8 people? So seven matches for each person...
I'ma laugh if you get an eight-way tie with 4-3 records. Since you're randomly booking, clearly :rolleyes:
Edit: Math was off; that won't work. With an odd number, everyone can have a 50-50 record. Best ****-up we can have is...
Yeah, I'm getting four wins being what you need to guarantee success. Which means I'm an idiot as duh, best of four edit seven, you idiot moron. Four people with 4-3 and four with 3-4 is the best I can get.
This does mean that, as has been alleged in certain types of sports, you can have a 4-2 going against a 3-3, where the 3-3 bribes 4-2 to take the fall. Granted, that would...
...
I think my math's off again. Don't think 4-3 guarantees success...
Edit: No, I'm right. And I'm saying that by fiat, not by running Excel again and mathing it.
D:
But people are going to die in your story!
On another note, though, aren't the bottom four guys screwed? They can't reach the top eight even if they won every match every month. I guess it could help next season, though. Or if this Alexis guy has a heart, maybe.
Which he clearly doesn't.
