TNA: Under New Management

Recommended Posts

This will be my first shot at a dynasty. Been playing the TEW games for years and I have been lurking on these forums as well but when I started this game I just got so into it that I figured I'd try my hand at this dynasty thing. So without further ado:

The story so far

March 2013 will forever go down in history as the month that changed the landscape of TNA Wrestling forever. On the week one edition of Impact Hulk Hogan and Dixie Carter came down to the ring to open the show by making the shocking announcement that TNA Wrestling had been sold to an undisclosed party who would come to be known as the new "mystery owner" of TNA. It was Hulk Hogan who did all of the talking and as soon as he had finished delivering his shocking message, rounding it off by announcing that the new owner would send a "chosen representative" to Impact next week through whom he would be running the show, TNA World Champion Jeff Hardy made his way out to confront Hogan and Dixie, demanding to know what the hell was going on. But before Hardy could get his answer he was blindsided by Bully Ray who carried out a swift and brutal hit and run attack on the champion. Hogan and Dixie left the ring and while Hogan remained in the building to oversee the show one final night, Dixie Carter was nowhere to be seen.

What followed was a strange show that had an uneasy feeling to it throughout the night as some of the most prominent TNA wrestlers, includng Kurt Angle and Sting, approached Hogan throughout the night looking for more information but Hogan had nothing to share. The show was headlined by a match between Kurt Angle and Mr. Anderson in what was a back and forth contest that ultimately saw Kurt Angle picking up the win. But all throughout the show fans and wrestlers alike were left wondering the same thing: who was this new mystery owner and why would he or she not reveal their identity?

Week 2

The second week of March brought the reveal of the new owner's "chosen representative" as Kevin Nash made his return to TNA Wrestling and announced that, yes, he was indeed the new owner's chosen representative and, in a shocking display of power, Nash announced that, by orders of the new owner, Aces and Eights were officially disbanded and every single title in TNA was vacated and would remain that way until Victory Road where all of the titles would be competed for. But as shocking and surprising as those announcements were, Nash was far from done as he would later make two additional announcements, one being that the TV Title was officially changing name to the TNA International Championship, and the other being that TNA veteran James Storm would be facing off against DOC at Victory Road...in a loser leaves TNA match!

The show was headlined by a match between the now former TNA World Champion, Jeff Hardy, and Devon. Hardy had approached Nash during the show and demanded to face Bully Ray after Bully's attack on Hardy the previous week, but Nash had insted booked Hardy against Devon with the promise that IF he impressed him here tonight then he MIGHT consider booking Hardy vs. Bully Ray for the vacant World Title at Victory Road. Hardy beat Devon in the main event but as soon as the match was over Hardy was again blindsided by Bully Ray and only a save from the ICON, Sting, prevented Bully Ray from carrying out another brutal attack on Jeff Hardy.

Othr highlights of the show included DOC attacking James Storm following Storm's win against Joey Ryan, Jimmy Jacobs making his TNA debut by cutting a promo on Kurt Angle while Angle was still in the ring following a six man tag team match, and a confrontation between Sting and Kevin Nash where Sting made it perfectly clear that he loved TNA too much to stand by and let some "mystery owner" destroy it, but Nash reassured Sting by saying that they weren't there to destroy TNA--they were there to make it better.

Week 3

Week 3 opened with Kevin Nash issuing an official warning to Sting following his "interference" following last weeks main event. "What about Bully Ray's interference?" Sting had asked but before Nash could reply Bully Ray made his way to the ring and told Sting to stay the hell out of his business. Jeff Hardy suddenly stormed toward the ring but Nash told him to stop unless he wanted to lose his title shot at Victory Road. Despite Bully Ray's taunts, Hardy managed to keep his cool and Nash officially booked Bully Ray vs. Jeff Hardy for the TNA World Title at Victory Road.

Hardy did get to keep his World Title shot for long, however, as Bobby Roode would later approach Kevin Nash demanding to know what Hardy had done to deserve a World Title shot that he hadn't. Nash, apparently impressed with Roode's guts, booked Jeff Hardy vs. Bobby Roode as tonights main event and the winner would face Bully Ray at Victory Road for the World Title. The match saw no interference, mainly because Sting had taken Bully Ray out before the match with this trusty baseball bat, and Hardy managed to defeat Bobby Roode by pinfall following a back and forth battle that lasted nearly 20 minutes.

Other highlights of the show was the debut of Beth Phoenix, Eve Torres and Maryse Ouellet--or the "Dominant Diva's, as they prefered to be called--and Kevin Nash announced that all three of them would be placed into title matches at Victory Road; Beth Phoenix in the Knockouts Title match and Eve and Maryse as a team in the Knockouts Tag Team Title match. This announcement understandably did not go over very well with the rest of the Knockout roster, especially the now former Knockouts Champion, Velvet Sky. Velvet's objections did not go by unnoticed as the Dominant Diva's would later attack her backstage during an interview. Also on the show Samoa Joe, Matt Morgan and Devon all qualified for the triple threat TNA International Title match that would take place at Victory Road, Kurt Angle and Jimmy Jacobs had another back and forth promo exchange that ended with both men agreeing to face each other at Victory Road and the contract signing between James Storm and DOC ended with DOC once again gaining the upper hand by blindsiding Storm for the second straight week and beating him down.

Week 4

The show opened with Kevin Nash addressing Sting's attack on Bully Ray on last weeks Impact. Nash said that Sting was out of line, and since he had already been warned, tonight the hammer would fall. Nash booked Jeff Hardy and Sting vs. Devon and a tag team partner of Bully Ray's choosing as the main event of the show. Bully Ray would later choose Mr. Anderson, promising Anderson a shot at the World Title as soon as Bully had won it as a reward, and the stage was set for one hell of a main event that saw Jeff Hardy and Sting come out on top after Bully Ray's interference backfired when he accidentally took out Devon insted of Hardy, allowing Hardy to hit the Twist of Fate and pick up the win. And when Bully Ray led Devon and Anderson in another attack post match, Hardy and Sting again came out on top as they drove the trio into retreat.

The rest of the show largely centered around previewing the Victory Road matches as the team of Bad Influence and Crimson and Gunner picked up a win against the team of Ink.Inc. and Douglas Williams and Paul Burchill, Samoa Joe beat Matt Morgan in a preview of the International Title match and Gail Kim and Madison Rayne defeated Taylor Wilde and Sarita in a preview of the four team Knockouts Tag Team Title match at Victory Road.

Also during the show, Kurt Angle and James Storm defeated DOC and Jimmy Jacobs after Jacobs decided to walk out on DOC and the match. The Dominant Diva's made an appearance as well, cutting a taunting promo about Velvet Sky. Velvet walked out onto the stage, flanked by Mickie James and Brooke Tessmacher, and after a brief verbal exchange between Velvet and Beth Phoenix, the trio stormed the ring ready for a fight but the Dominant Diva's quickly retreated, choosing not to fight despite Velvet's challenge. The Dominant Diva's would have the last laugh though as they would later attack Velvet Sky again, mockingly asking her where he backup was now.

TNA Victory Road 2013

Live from the BankAtlantic Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Attendance: 22,457 (sellout)

Preshow

Magnus vs. Rockstar Spud

In a match that was much better than expected, Magnus picked up the win over Rockstar Spud in a back and forth match, although in truth, despite a good effort, Spud was never really close to winning it. (B-)

Victory Road 2013

The owner's chosen representative, Kevin Nash, makes his way down to the ring to open the show. Nash gets on the mic and welcomes everyone to the first ever pay per view under the rule of the new owner. Nash goes on to say that he hopes everyone enjoys themselves tonight because they have one hell of a show ahead of them. (A)

Samoa Joe vs. Matt Morgan vs. Devon

TNA International Championship

The opening bout of Victory Road was a good one with all three competitors getting their chance to shine in a very even match between three tough competitors. All three men scored at least one near-fall during the match but in the end it was Samoa Joe who earned the honor of becoming the first ever TNA International Champion by making Devon tap out to the Coquina Clutch in just under 15 minutes. Samoa Joe wins the TNA International Championship. (B)

The Dominant Diva's vs. Taylor Wilde and Sarita vs. Gail Kim and Madison Rayne vs. Mickie James and Brooke Tessmacher

TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championships

While the second match of the night did not reach the standards of the opening bout, and it was never expected to, it was still a very solid effort by all eight Knockouts who proved that the Knockouts division is alive and well in TNA. The match got a decent amount of time, ending just north of the 10 minute mark, when Eve won the match for the Dominant Diva's by pinning Taylor Wilde while using the ropes for leverage. The Dominant Diva's wins the TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championships. ©

Following the match the Dominant Diva's celebrate in the ring by posing with their newly won Knockouts Tag Team Titles. (B-)

Rob Van Dam vs. Zema Ion vs. Austin Aries vs. Kenny King vs. Christian York

TNA X-Division Championship

Ultimate X Match

This match turned out to be the biggest disappointment of the night as the crowd was just not at all into the Ultimate X stipulation. The match started out evenly but as it progressed it became obvious that two men seemed to be a step or two ahead of the others as Rob Van Dam and Austin Aries both came close to winning the match on several occasions but, in the end, it was Austin Aries who managed to get the job done. Austin Aries wins the TNA X-Division Championship. (C-)

Christy Hemme was backstage with Kurt Angle to get his thoughts on his upcoming match with Jimmy Jacobs. Kurt said that while Jimmy Jacobs may have guts he is just not very smart and that there was no way that Angle would allow Jacobs to make a name for himself in TNA at his expense. (D+)

Kurt Angle vs. Jimmy Jacobs

This was the shortest match of the night clocking in at just over eight minutes before Jimmy Jacobs earned himself a disqualification when the strange and mysterious Thorn ran down to the ring and attacked Kurt Angle--seemingly at Jimmy Jacobs' behest. (C+)

The attack continued on Kurt Angle post match as Jacobs beat Angle down while Thorn brought a table into the ring and set it up. Jacobs then proceeded to put Angle through the table with a powerbomb and, despite having lost the match, it was Jimmy Jacobs who ended up standing tall at the end of the match. (C-)

Tara vs. Beth Phoenix vs. Velvet Sky

TNA Knockouts Championship

The second Knockouts match of the night proved just as the first one did that the division has both talent and depth. All three Knockouts put it all on the line in order to capture the Knockouts Title in an even match that did suffer somewhat from a slight lack of selling. The match was so even, in fact, that it took a referee distraction from Eve and interference from Maryse to tip the scales in Beth Phoenix's favor as Maryse's interference allowed Beth to hit her finisher on Tara and pick up the win and the title. Beth Phoenix wins the TNA Knockouts Championship. (B-)

The Dominant Diva's stand tall in the ring as they celebrate their amazing success with all of them winning titles while Velvet Sky is looking distraught outside the ring as the title opportunity slipped through her hands without her even being involved in the decision. (B)

Bad Influence vs. The Mexican Warriors vs. Ink.Inc. vs. Crimson and Gunner

TNA Tag Team Championships

In a somewhat surprising turn of events this match turned out to be the match of the night, spearheaded by incredible performances by Daniels and Kazarian. The fans were way into this one and the action in the ring lived up to the fans investment in it as the match went back and forth with several near-falls throughout. In the end it was Bad Influence who walked away with the titles as Christopher Daniels pinned Jesse Neal of Ink.Inc. a mere second before Chavo Guerrero had Crimson pinned following a Frogsplash. Bad Influence wins the TNA Tag Team Championships. (B+)

Christy Hemme was backstage with Bully Ray who vowed to become World Champion tonight, saying that if Jeff Hardy was smart he'd do himself a favor and just quit now and save himself the embarrassment. (B-)

James Storm vs. DOC

Loser Leaves TNA match

In a match where everything is on the line the only thing to do is leave it all in the ring and that is exactly what these two competitors did. DOC got off to a great start and dominated the match for the first several minutes before Storm slowly but surely managed to work his way into it. The match ended just north of the 15 minute mark when Storm hit a superkick out of nowhere and got the pinfall victory over DOC. (B)

As James Storm celebrates his win in the ring, Kevin Nash's music hits and the owner's chosen representative makes his way out onto the ramp with a mic in hand. Nash confirms that, as a result of this match, DOC is now fired from TNA Wrestling. (B+)

We cut to Mike Tenay and Taz at ringside who goes over the Tale of the Tape graphic that pops up on the screen, comparing Jeff Hardy and Bully Ray's strengths and weaknesses as we prepare for tonights main event. (B)

Jeff Hardy vs. Bully Ray

TNA World Heavyweight Championship

The main event of Victory Road suffered from the crowd being somewhat burned out by the time the main event rolled around, but that didn't keep Jeff Hardy and Bully Ray from putting on a solid 18 minute match. This match was as even as a match possibly could be but as the match went on it looked as though it might be tipping in Hardy's favor as Bully Ray began to look winded and tired, but a surprising appearance at ringside by John Hennigan tipped the match back in Bully Ray's favor as Hennigan's appearance was enough to distract Jeff Hardy just long enough for Bully Ray to hit the Bully Bomb and score the pinfall victory. Bully Ray wins the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. (B-)

The match is over as Victory Road comes to an end with Bully Ray celebrating in the ring, Jeff Hardy down and out on the floor of the ring and John Hennigan backing slowly up the ramp with a smirk on his face. (B)

Impact Preview

Victory Road was the first ever TNA pay per view under the management of the new mystery owner and it was an historic night that saw new champions crowed throughout the night, ending with Bully Ray defeating Jeff Hardy to capture the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.

This week Impact comes to you live from the McKenzie Arena and it features the fallout of Victory Road and the intense situation surrounding the TNA World Title. What will Bully Ray have to say after winning the TNA World Heavyweight Championship for the first time in his already impressive career? How will Jeff Hardy react to John Hennigan's appearance at ringside during the main event which ultimately ended up costing Hardy the match? And what will John Hennigan have to say for himself?

Chavo Guerrero and Hernandez were literally one second away from winning the TNA World Tag Team Championships at Victory Road, this week on Impact they face the team of Wes Brisco and Garrett Bischoff to determine who will earn the right to challenge Bad Influence for the Tag Team Championships at Lockdown. Will Chavo and Hernandez earn themselves another shot at the title they were so close to capturing at Victory Road? Or will Wes Brisco and Garrett Bischoff come out on top and redeem themselves after not being picked to participate in the World Tag Team Title match at Victory Road?

A new number one contender to the X-Division championship will also be crowned as Zema Ion, Christian York and Alex Shelley will do battle with the number one contendership spot on the line. Both Ion and York had the chance to become X-Division champion at Victory Road but came up short, while the returning Alex Shelley is already getting his first opportunity at earning himself a title shot. Who will become the new number one contender to the X-Division Championship? And how will Rob Van Dam react to being left out of the match despite an impressive performance at Victory Road?

The Dominant Diva's have been nothing short of impressive since their debut and they were indeed 'dominant' at Victory Road as all three went home with championships to their name. This week on Impact the trio has announced that they have made plans for an extensive in-ring celebration.

And how will Kurt Angle react following the events that took place at Victory Road when Jimmy Jacobs, with a huge assist from the mysterious Thorn, put Kurt Angle through a table? Angle may have won the match by disqualification but the actions of Jimmy Jacobs may just have this rivalry personal in the mind of the olympic gold medalist.

All of this and more on this weeks edition of Impact.

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Mike_Tenay.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Taz3.jpg

This weeks Impact opens with Mike Tenay and Taz welcoming everyone to the show. They talk briefly about the tense situation surrounding the World Title and Tenay wonders how Jeff Hardy will react to the controversial way in which he lost his match against Bully Ray at Victory Road while Taz concludes that Jeff Hardy took his eye off the ball and Bully Ray simply did the smart thing by taking advantage.

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Kevin_Nash2.jpg

Suddenly Kevin Nash's music hits and the owners "chosen representative" makes his way down to the ring. Nash gets on the mic and congratulates Bully Ray on winning the World Heavyweight Championship at Victory Road and calls the new champion down to the ring.

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Brother_Ray.jpg

Bully Ray's music hits and the World Champion makes his way to the ring with the world title draped across his shoulders to a chorus of boo's from the crowd. Nash and Bully shakes hands and Bully gets on the mic and says that he did exactly what he said he was going to do at Victory Road: he defeated Jeff Hardy and became the new TNA World Heavyweight Champion. Bully goes to continue his promo when suddenly--

MIIISSSSTEEEEEEEEERRRRR!

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Mr_Anderson_aces.jpg

Mr. Anderson's music hits and Anderson makes his way down to the ring as well as both Bully and Nash seem surprised at Anderson's arrival. Anderson gets right in Bully Ray's face and says that Bully owes him a shot at the world title as per their agreement when Anderson's agreed to team up with Devon a couple of weeks ago. Bully says that he doesn't owe Anderson jack since Anderson and Devon lost that match anyway so he can forget about getting a shot at his World Title.

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Jeff_Hardy_Res.jpg

As if the ring was not already full up of people, Jeff Hardy's music suddenly hits and as Hardy makes his way to the ring Mike Tenay remarks that this is quickly turning into a potentially very explosive situation. Hardy gets on the mic and says that if anybody is getting a World Title shot it should be him. Hardy says that John Hennigan had no business being at ringside during the Victory Road main event and the distraction caused him to lose the match. Bully, Hardy and Anderson starts arguing amongst each other, but just as the situation looks like it is about to erupt into complete chaos Kevin Nash steps in.

Nash looks at Mr. Anderson and Jeff Hardy and tells them that he can't just go around handing out title shots to anyone who might think they deserve them. That being said, he can give both Hardy and Anderson an opportunity. Nash then goes on to make the announcement that Mr. Anderson and Jeff Hardy are now officially named as team captains for this years Lethal Lockdown match as the crowd erupts with cheers. Nash then adds that Anderson and Hardy better pick their teams well because whoever gets the pinfall or submission victory in the Lethal Lockdown match will earn himself a shot at the TNA World Heavyweight Championship at Slammaversary. Hardy and Anderson both seem satisfied with this announcement while Bully Ray is absolutely livid! (A)

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Tara.jpg vs. http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/ODB.jpg

Coming off a loss at Victory Road it was an extremely focused Tara who took on ODB in the opening bout of the show. Tara dominated the match using classic heel tactics and while ODB made several attempts at a comeback, Tara always managed to come up with an answer. In the end Tara defeated ODB by pinfall to pick up the win.

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Jeff_Hardy_Res.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Sting6.jpg

The show cuts backstage where Jeff Hardy is talking to the insane ICON Sting. Hardy asks Sting to be a part of his team at Lockdown and Sting says that Hardy doesn't even have to ask--of course he'll be a part of his team! Sting then apologizes to Hardy for not being there to have his back at Victory Road but Hardy says that Sting has nothing to apologize for. Sting then promises that, from here on out, Hardy can count on him to have his back. (B)

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Rob_Van_Dam.jpg vs. http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Jimmy_Jacobs.jpg

The second match of the night saw two men who both came up short at Victory Road go one on one as RVD took on Jimmy Jacobs. During the opening moments of the match Tenay and Taz talked about Jacobs' cheap attack on Kurt Angle at Victory Road, with Tenay remarking that nobody really knows what to make of Jimmy Jacobs as he has been in two matches so far and he walked out on the first while he got himself intentionally disqualified in the second. The match was pretty even for as long as it lasted, which wasn't all that long before Kurt Angle suddenly charged down to the ring, but instead of going directly for Jacobs, Angle attacks RVD with a couple of punches to get Jacobs disqualified.

As Rob Van Dam is announced as the winner of the match via disqualification, Kurt Angle turns his wrath on Jimmy Jacobs as he charges at him and pummels him with right hand shots. Angle then locks in the Angle Lock and keeps the hold locked in until a host of referee's and officials are able to drag him off Jimmy Jacobs who looks to be in some serious pain. (B-)

Christy Hemme is backstage with Lethal Lockdown team captain, Mr. Anderson. Christy asks Anderson about who he is going to pick for his team and wonders if Anderson might have a difficult time finding teammates following his recent membership in Aces and Eights. Anderson says that it doesn't matter who is on his team, he'll win the match even if his teammates are four sacks of potatoes! (B)

The third match of the night saw Chavo Guerrero and Hernandez battle Garrett Bischoff and Wes Brisco with a Tag Team Championship title shot at Lockdown on the line. The match was an even one with Bischoff and Brisco determined to prove that it was wrong for them to be left out of the Tag Title match at Victory Road, and Chavo and Hernandez equally as determined to get back into the hunt for the titles they came so close to winning at Victory Road. In the end Chavo Guerrero hit the Frogsplash on Wes Brisco for the pinfall and the victory.

The match is over and Chavo Guerrero and Hernandez are celebrating their victory in the ring. Their celebration is cut short, however, when the Tag Team Champions, Bad Inluence, runs down to the ring and attacks the new number one contenders, beating them down before posing above their fallen rivals saying that Chavo and Hernandez aren't even in their league. (B)

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Beth_Phoenix22.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Maryse6.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Eve_Torres4.jpg

The Dominant Diva's makes their way to the ring for their in-ring celebration following their success at Victory Road. Beth Phoenix gets on the mic and tells everyone that they are looking at the three most beautiful, most dominant women in the history of professional wrestling. She says that there is nobody on the TNA roster who is even in their league and that they will continue to dominate for just as long as they feel like it.

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Velvet_Sky.jpg

Velvet Sky's music suddenly hits and Velvet makes her way out onto the stage with a mic in hand and a smile on her face. Velvet says that she is "sorry" to cut their celebration short but she just came from Kevin Nash's office and she just had to share the news with them. Beth, Eve and Maryse all look confused in the ring and Velvet goes on to announce that, since Beth did not beat her at Victory Road, Kevin Nash has booked Beth Phoenix versus Velvet Sky at Lockdown for the Knockouts Title! The crowd cheers while the Dominant Diva's all look outraged in the ring. (B)

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Robert_Roode2.jpg vs. http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Paul_Burchill.jpg

The fourth match of the night also turned out to be the best match of the night as Bobby Roode faced off against Paul Burchill. Roode, looking to reestablish himself as a top guy in the eyes of the new owner, put in an impressive performances and picked up the win against Burchill, who put in a strong performance in his own right, but who came up short in the end.

Bobby Roode defeated Paul Burchill by pinfall (B-)

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/John_Hennigan.jpg

John Hennigan makes his way to the ring, making his first appearance on Impact, and Mike Tenay proclaims that this is the moment everyone had been waiting for since Victory Road. Hennigan gets on the mic and says "you're welcome". The crowd gives a mixed response, uncertain what to make of that comment, and Hennigan adds that, at Victory Road, he single-handedly saved everyone in TNA from the horrors of having to endure another Jeff Hardy title run, prompting the crowd to boo Hennigan heavily. Hennigan says that no matter where he goes he always makes his mark and in one night in TNA he has already accomplished more than most people on the roster ever will.

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Jeff_Hardy_Res.jpg

Jeff Hardy's music hits and Hardy makes his way out to confront the man who cost him the World Title at Victory Road. Hardy says that Hennigan made a big mistake when he chose to do what he did at Victory Road and tells him that here in TNA people pay for their mistakes. Hardy says that he doesn't know why Hennigan has a problem with him and Hennigan interrupts saying that he didn't want to work for a company who had a drug addict as their World Champion! That last comment by Hennigan causes the tension in the ring reaches dangerous levels when suddenly...

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Kevin_Nash2.jpg

Kevin Nash's music hits and the owner's chosen representative makes his way to the ring again with a pissed off look on his face. Nash says that he has heard enough of their bickering and if they really have that much of a problem with each other then they can settle it in the ring. Nash then books Jeff Hardy vs. John Hennigan as next weeks main event on Impact. (B+)

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Zema_Ion2.jpg vs. http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/ChristianYork01.jpg vs. http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Alex_Shelley.jpg

The X-Division title number one contenders match was a fast paced contest with all three men leaving it all in the ring. In the end it was the returning Alex Shelley who came out on top as he scored a quick rollup pinfall victory on Zema Ion.

Alex Shelley defeated Zema Ion and Christian York. Alex Shelley is named the number one contender to the TNA X-Division Championship.

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Alex_Shelley.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Austin_Aries22.jpg

As Shelley celebrates his win in the ring Austin Aries makes his way out onto the stage, fake-clapping at Shelley. Aries says that, while Shelley may have been a big deal in the X-Division once, things have changed since he has been gone and that Shelley doesn't stand a chance against him at Lockdown. (B)

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Jeff_Hardy_Res.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Kurt_Angle.jpg vs. http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Crimson.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Gunner.jpg

The main event saw the superstar team of Kurt Angle and Jeff Hardy take on the newly formed tag team of Gunner and Crimson. The match was decent, although hardly anything special, and in the end it was the favorites who picked up the win as Hardy pinned Gunner following a Twist of Fate.

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Jeff_Hardy_Res.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Kurt_Angle.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Mr_Anderson_aces.jpg

Following the main event Mr. Anderson sneaks down to ringside and slides into the ring, completely unnoticed by Jeff Hardy. Anderson begins to stalk Hardy, no doubt looking to inflict a little damage on his Lethal Lockdown opponent, but Kurt Angle intervenes and drives Anderson into a quick retreat. Hardy and Angle then shakes hands in the ring as Hardy adds teammate number three to his Lethal Lockdown team! Anderson is in disbelief on the outside as team Hardy is now Jeff Hardy, Sting and Kurt Angle while team Anderson is still just Mr. Anderson. Impact comes to an end with a shot of Hardy and Angle posing in the ring. (B+)

<strong>Impact Preview</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

This weeks edition of TNA Impact comes to you live from the DeSoto Civic Center in Southaven, Mississippi and with a main event of Jeff Hardy versus John Hennigan it promises to be a night to remember. Will there be more names added to the Lethal Lockdown match at Lockdown? Will Jeff Hardy add to his already awesome team that consists of himself, Kurt Angle and Sting? Will Mr. Anderson's team finally grow from being just Mr. Anderson? And how will the TNA World Champion, Bully Ray, factor in to all of this?</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Chavo Guerrero and Hernandez became the number one contenders to the Tag Team Championships last week on Impact but were immediately jumped by the champions who beat them down following the match. The Dominant Diva's celebration last week on Impact was cut short by Velvet Sky who announced that Kevin Nash had booked Beth Phoenix versus Velvet Sky at Lockdown for the TNA Knockouts Title and the champion and her allies looked less than pleased. The announcers run through the rest of the card, rounding things off as Tenay mentions that, as a result of Kurt Angle's attack last week on Impact, Jimmy Jacobs will not be on the show tonight and Taz speculates that it might be a while before we see Jacobs again as it looked like Angle did some serious damage last week.

Mr. Anderson's music hits and the Lethal Lockdown team captain makes his way down to the ring. Anderson gets on the mic and says that, while it might look to some people like Jeff Hardy has the upper hand right now, he has actually got the situation completely under control. And, unlike Jeff Hardy, he is not just going to accept anyone and everyone on his team and, in the end, that is why he is going to win Lethal Lockdown and earn himself a World Title shot at Slammaversary. Anderson then goes on to introduce the second member of Team Anderson for Lethal Lockdown...

John Hennigan makes his way to the ring with a cocky smirk on his face and joins Anderson in the ring as team Anderson officially grows to two members. (B+)

The show cuts backstage to Kevin Nash's office where Bully Ray is pleading his case to be the special referee for Lethal Lockdown. Despite Bully's insistence, Nash shoots the idea down and says that the only way Bully Ray is going to be involved in Lethal Lockdown is if he competes in the match...and if he competes in the match he'll have to put the title on the line, which Nash speculates isn't something Bully Ray is interested in and Bully's silence only confirms it. "That's what I thought" Nash says and adds that Bully will simply have to relax and let everything play out. (A)

The opening match of this weeks show saw Christian York take on the mysterious man known simply as Thorn. York got in a flurry of offensive early on but the menacing Thorn soon took over the match and began to dominate with his slow, methodical pace, slowly stalking York in the ring, inflicting as much damage as possible with each delivered blow before finishing him off with a Crucifix Powerbomb for the win.

Thorn defeated Christian York by pinfall at 5.49 (C-)

The show cuts backstage where Eric Young, who is making his first appearance in TNA following some time off, is in Kevin Nash's office. Young tells Nash that it feels great to be back and that he can't wait to make his mark on TNA Wrestling at the tag team division. Nash asks if Young even has a partner, "Well, not yet" Young replies, but then vows that he will soon find one and Nash says that IF Young can find a partner then he's welcome to compete in the tag team division. Eric Young leaves Nash's office and makes his way down the hallway before bumping in to a couple of fellow TNA wrestlers....

Garrett Bischoff and Wes Brisco, who are bitterly discussing their loss last week at the hands of Chavo Guerrero and Hernandez. Young tells them to "turn their frowns upside down" and the comment seemed to rub Bischoff and Brisco the wrong way as they suddenly attack Eric Young and beat him down viciously before walking off, leaving Eric Young down and out. (B-)

Elsewhere in the backstage area Team Hardy, Jeff Hardy, Sting and Kurt Angle are having a sitdown to discuss who the fourth and fifth members of their team should be and both Hardy and Sting suggest Rob Van Dam. Angle says he agrees, but after last week it might be a good idea if he talked to RVD and tried to smooth things over with him, which both Hardy and Sting agrees on. (B)

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Tara.jpg vs. http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Velvet_Sky.jpg

The second match of the night saw Velvet Sky and Tara go one on one in a solid match that was even throughout but, in the end, it was Velvet Sky who picked up the win, and some added momentum, as she prepares to challenge Beth Phoenix for the Knockouts Championship at Lockdown.

As soon as the match is over the crowd begins to boo as The Dominant Diva's run down to the ring and attack Velvet Sky in another three on one attack that is quickly becoming a trademark of the group. The trio puts the boots to Velvet and Beth then calls for Maryse and Eve to lift Velvet to her feet as Beth signals for her finisher.

The third match of the night saw the TNA X-Division Champion, Austin Aries, team up with with the TNA Tag Team Champions, Bad Influence, to take on the British Connection and Rob Terry. Despite the team of Aries, Daniels and Kazarian being major favorites for this one the match was even as Douglas Williams, Paul Burchill and Rob Terry put up one hell of a fight. In the end their fight wasn't enough as Austin Aries won the match for his team by making Paul Burchill tap out to the Last Chancery.

Kurt Angle is backstage with Rob Van Dam. Angle explains to RVD that the only reason he attacked him last week was because he did not want Jimmy Jacobs to gain a cheap win. RVD replies that Angle shouldn't have interfered in his match in the first place and Angle aplogizes and then offers Rob Van Dam a spot on Team Hardy. RVD pauses for a long moment and then tells Angle that "he'll think about it". (B)

The fourth match of the night saw "Cowboy" James Storm taking on the young up and comer Rockstar Spud in singles action. Storm was the odds on favorite going into this match but the Rockstar, who was once again accompanied by his "number one fan", Allysin Kay, proved exactly why many believe he is one to watch for the future in TNA wrestling as he put in an impressive performance against the veteran Storm, even if he did come up short in the end as James Storm hit the Eye of the Storm and scored a pinfall victory following a very competitive match.

James Storm defeated Rockstar Spud by pinfall in 7.42 (B-)

We once again cut backstage to Kevin Nash's office where "The War Machine" Rhino, Magnus and Joey Ryan are all pleading their case for a shot at the TNA International Championship. Nash comments that he can't believe so many people are so eager to face someone like Samoa Joe but, if that's what they want, then he doesn't have a problem with it. Nash then books Samoa Joe vs. Rhino vs. Magnus vs. Joey Ryan in a fatal fourway match for the TNA International Championship at Lockdown.(B-)

As soon as the bell rings the unusual duo of Bully Ray and Mr. Anderson charge the ring and attacks Jeff Hardy, seemingly having decided to put their differences aside for a moment to deal with a common enemy.

I'm looking to get a little prediction contest going as I head toward Slammaversary so I'll be posting questions for people to predict on following each show, starting with the first couple of questions now, and the contest will run until just before the last Impact before Slammaversary. Whoever has the most points by then will get to decide what type of match Slammaversary's World Heavyweight Title main event between the World Champion and the Lethal Lockdown winner is going to be. Please note that each question will have a specific deadline.

Predictions:

Will Rob Van Dam accept Team Hardy's invitation for a spot on Hardy's Lethal Lockdown team? - Since this is a 50/50 question it will be worth 1 point and the deadline will be when I post the next edition of Impact which will be on Friday.

Who will fill out the 5 remaining open spots on Team Hardy and Team Anderson for Lethal Lockdown? - Each correct pick will be worth 1 point as long as the prediction were made before that person was added to the match. Once your have made your picks you cannot go back and change them or make new ones.
