Flairiac
So I bought the game but when I try to launch the game all I get is the hourglass and after that nothing happens. Is there any way to fix this? I really hope so because I enjoyed the demo a lot and would love to play the full game.
Adam Ryland
It is because your license is being blocked. See the latest technical support FAQ under "When I try to load the game I get: "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click on OK to terminate application." OR I'm trying to run the game but I'm just getting an hourglass".
Flairiac
I followed the instructions but without effect. Still only getting the hourglass for a few seconds and then nothing.
Adam Ryland
Did you read the rest of the FAQ, especially in regard to which anti virus software you cannot use? And tried disabling your firewall temporarily?
Flairiac
I'm not using any of the anti virus software mentioned in the FAQ. Temporarily disabling my firewall didn't help either.
Adam Ryland
OK, you will need to contact Scott, as per the technical support FAQ, as I've never encountered anyone whose hourglass problem wasn't one of those issues - your license is definitely being blocked, it's just a question of figuring out how \ why. Please make sure to link him to this thread when you do so that he doesn't repeat the steps I've already gone through with you.
Flairiac
The problem has now been solved so the thread can be closed.
Adam Ryland
What was the issue \ solution? I can add it to the FAQ for other people if it's something new.
