de knegt
Well, with a ''match length'' poll in place. I would go ahead and do a ''contract length'' poll in return. In my current XCC game I am purely concentrated on making cash and keeping my guys cheap for as long as possible. So I offer them 5 fight associate deals, with the associate stuff in place I can drop the LLR guys to under 1K and maybe one or two big names under 1600. I would love to be able to offer contracts longer than 5 fights, but no one wants that apparently. In other games where money isn't a real factor, I tend to do 3-4 fight contract with 2-3 fights guaranteed. Basically the UFC style that if you lose 3 fights you get kicked to the curb and you get replaced by another up and comer. It keeps my rosters fresh and filled with winners. I don't need cans in bigger companies. Please, for the poll pick a length and the type of deals. Only pick one of each
Iceisle
I think I most often go with 4-5 fights, and almost always Exclusive if I'm in a position where I can afford it. Most of my games are with companies that are in that position, so that's what I chose in the poll. It depends, though. If they're getting a lot of money, I'm going to try my best to get more fights out of them before we have to negotiate again. On the other hand, if I'm the UFC and a guy is asking for less than 10k per fight, I'm likely to go with 1 or 2 fight contracts so that his pay can reflect what I feel is fair as soon as possible. I have a 5k minimum with a company that size, for what it's worth. I'd also give a short contract to a fighter who is asking for a larger amount that is still small relative to his reputation. It's hard to go broke with a company that size, so I'm just aiming for realism at that point. Feels weird to pay a guy 1,200 to fight for an International-sized company, even on a preliminary card. damientheomen3
I like going 6 fights, exclusive deal with my main carders and 4 fights exclusive for my TV fighters and prelim fighters (one exception being where I have a TV show with 6 shows on the contract and I plan on using the same 8 fighters in all 6 shows, so they have 6 fight contracts). I prefer to guarantee all fights on the contract, don't really know why but I just do.
android17
I give 4 fights(3 fights guaranteed) for starters to see if they can handle my org or not. They are cut after 3 straight losses. For the better fighters, I give them 5-6(mainly 6 when I am big enough to do so). I mainly use standard deal because the CPU don't really use them as much as I do anyway and they don't actively sign fighters that are not unemployed so exclusive doesn't seem necessary to me. Blackman
5 fights normally, but if I'm playing GAMMA or a bigger promotion, I'd go up to 6. I hate renegotiating them so the longer the better. You'll swim in money anyway so I don't care losing money to breaking exclusive deals. I've developed a system now so I can resign anyone in mere seconds by using the tab key and the mouse wheel. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />
