WWE: Anarchy Reigns (2014)

Recommended Posts

It's July 2014, and the WWE has lost a lot of momentum pushing forward. Major changes have come into play, as well, including the near-annihilation of the women's division, along with the hiring of a few former WWE Stars. Whether this has hurt or benefited the overall product is debatable. However, with the Money In The Bank PPV just around the corner, many fans are awaiting the next young star to win a briefcase and break out into the main event, or to kickstart someone back into the title picture, are things looking bright or dim for the next few months in the WWE?

STORYLINES

THE BUZZARDS SWARM ABOVE THE ANIMAL

Bray Wyatt vs. Batista

Batista returned to the WWE a few months ago, bringing with him an ungodly unleashing of hell upon anyone who stood in his way. However, last week, Bray Wyatt interrupted one of Batista's promos, promising to "pick apart at the remains of an animal that once was..." Leaving Batista confused, what could the cult mastermind Bray Wyatt have in store for Batista?

CHAOS REIGNS IN AMERICA

Chaos Theory (Daniel Bryan & CM Punk) vs. The Real Americans (Jack Swagger & Antonio Cesaro)

With a relationship described as rocky at best, it came as a shock to all of the WWE Universe when CM Punk and Daniel Bryan teamed up together and announced they were in hot pursuit of the tag titles. However, two patriots, Jack Swagger and Antonio Cesaro, stood in their way. Can the Chaos Theory take out the Real Americans?

IS IT "RYBACK RULES" FOR CAPTAIN CHARISMA?

Christian vs. Ryback

After Christian became World Heavyweight Champion, he successfully defended his title against all sorts of opponents, but perhaps none are as intimidating or fearsome as Big Hungry himself, Ryback. Making his intent clear by hitting a Meathook on Christian, followed by grabbing the World Heavyweight Championship, will Ryback's relentless chase for the World Heavyweight Championship prove successful?

BACKLASH FROM THE BEAST

John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar

John Cena stated to the WWE Universe this past week on Raw that the vacant WWE Championship will soon be his, and he will go through whoever he has to. Unfortunately for Cena, that prompted Lesnar to return to the WWE in a similar, almost identical fashion to post-Wrestlemania 2012. The beast attacked John Cena, bloodying him and laying him out cold in the ring, before telling us that the only person around here fit to be WWE Champion is he, himself - Brock Lesnar.

BATTLE OF THE NATIONS

Sheamus vs. Wade Barrett

When Wade Barrett came out and began listing reasons why the UK is far superior to every nation in the world, Sheamus didn't take too kindly. But, instead of listing counterpoints to Barrett's list, Sheamus made sure Barrett was on the receiving end of a Brogue Kick, before challenging Barrett to a "Battle Of The Nations" match at Money In The Bank.

THE ROAD TO A FUTURE CHAMPION

The WWE Money In The Bank Briefcase will loom high above the ring for a few lucky superstars, with one of them virtually guaranteed to become a champion. Currently entered in the WWE Championship Money In The Bank match are Shield Member Dean Ambrose and "The Show Off" Dolph Ziggler.

SUCCESS IS ONLY A LADDER CLIMB AWAY

On the flip side, the World Heavyweight Championship Briefcase will give superstars a shot at the pretigious championship. With only a few spots in the famous Money In The Bank Ladder Match, who will come out on top? Currently entered in the World Heavyweight Championship Money In The Bank match are Chris Jericho and Drew McIntyre.

Booker Diary Entry #1 - July, Week 1

-I went ahead and booked Kane vs. Fandango as the main event on WWE Superstars tonight. I feel like we need to get the ball rolling with Fandango, as he's pretty much been a shoe-in for cheap victories for the past few months, and I don't think Kane will mind if we put Fandango over him. Looking towards the future, I think Fandango and RVD might be able to work well together, but it's just a footnote at this point.

-Looking forward to Money In The Bank, I'm not 100% sure how things will play out with the MITB matches themselves, as we're going to be lacking in star power for them. Guys like Cena, Punk, Bryan, and Batista are already involved in feuds. What I could do is capitalize on the theme and book guys in feuds into one of the MITB matches, but that could bite me in the ass as far as developing these storylines goes. Decisions, decisions...

-Ryback's got some good momentum going forward, we'll see how he does leading up to MITB.

-I recently extended a pay-per-appearance contract to Stone Cold Steve Austin, with 5 appearances, and for him to wrestle a PPV. We'll see where this goes, but the name power alone would attract a huge base of older fans. It would also really help kick some life into Summerslam, and really draw some numbers.
