fullMETAL
A bit of background: There's a program by Educational Simulations called Real Lives. In it, you can simulate, via text and gui buttons, the life of a person anywhere in the world from birth to death. It comes with a create-a-life feature that has an EXTENSIVE names database for every country in the world (at 2007, at least), though (expectedly) some name collections repeat due to being used in countries with similar naming schemes (like the same names being used in Mexico and Spain, for instance). I plan on making an importable database with these names that you all can use to append/replace the Worker Names database you're already using. I've already started and gotten a few countries finished (I would've had more, as part of my Iceisle MMA Free Pictures pack, but my previous hard drive that had TEW on it had crashed and I needed to restart from scratch), planning on eventually getting all of TEW's supported countries listed, both in first name and last. Once I release it, I'll post it here for all of you to download! I'll also release updates for every few countries or so so that you can download my in-progress versions! fullMETAL
First progress update is available!

German and Greek names.

Install the standard mod way and Mass Import these Worker Names into whichever database you're using.

[Again, once the full database is complete, I will suggest to you to Mass Delete the Worker Names of your custom mod (of course you'll want a backup before you do it, though) and then Mass Import these. But not yet though, just add these to your current database.]
Derek B
This sounds like it's going to be awesome. I've been wanting to get a names mod for a long time, there are only so many times I can see the same names coming up in games before I assume all the genned workers are related in some way. fullMETAL
A technical update:

I just found out earlier today that I won't be able to salvage my files from my previous damaged hard drive without paying for a Clean Room, so it looks like I'll have to redo a bunch of my other countries' names from scratch rather than importing them.

This includes France, Japan (with a bunch of ADDITIONAL names I get from video game credits), and USA.
Idolized
Really pumped for this. Should make game generated workers much more realistic.
FlameSnoopy
Glad to hear you're still going even with technical difficulties. Obviously every mod maker in this board is going to appreciate this, me included, since the default name list is a bit sparse and I've done some additions to the name file myself. Can't wait for the full release.
fullMETAL
Updated with French and Italian names, upping the count to 1072 Worker Names!

The update now obsoletes the October 31st version, so keep that in mind as you download and import.
Derek B
For my own curiosity, are you going to add some slightly gimmicky names too? Like... you can add "Mr" or "The" as a first name or various surnames that you would only really find in the wrestling world? Would be a nice touch if you could, but I'd understand why you might not. fullMETAL
I figured, if somebody wanted a "Mister", a "The", or an adjective (like "The Great") they would simply change it themselves in wrestler's profile for an Alter Ego.

This database is intended to be more of a "real names repository" for the workers BEHIND the model, superhero, clown, nuclear monster, and garbageman, etc. gimmicks, you know?

That being said, unfortunately the fact that certain ethnicities are ensconced within their nationalities (like Hawai'i being part of the US), that means that, unless those ethnicities' names are included in Real Lives 2007, I won't be able to include them in this mod (like the native-Hawai'ian names, for instance).

It also means that I won't be able to separate things like the United Kingdom's names into its subdivisions, because the UK is a single entity and England/Scotland/Ireland/etc. aren't their own country in RL2007.

Idolized
Were you still working on this? I've imported everything you have so far in my 2004 mod. Love the idea behind this.
