The forums only display topics from the last month, if you want to see topics from before that time you need to change the options by using the drop-down boxes at the bottom of the page, just under the "New Thread" button. Change "Last Month" to "Beginning" and click "Show Threads". If you're ever worried about someone deleting your post, it's probably best to click your username and then "Find all posts by USERNAME" or "Find all threads started by USERNAME" first. If it's not on there, then you've got a case otherwise it's probably just been eaten up by the default options that are designed to keep the forums tidy.
